Sorry for the long hiatus. I've been too busy getting ready for All-state Orchestra auditions. (Unfortunately, I didn't make it, so it was all for naught. But that's okay as it gives me time to work on other stuff.) Anyways, now I'm back with a chapter that posed a daunting challenge because it required me to focus on what I'm worst at in writing: Long descriptions with very little dialogue. Hopefully it's good enough. Also, I realize this chapter could have been combined with the previous chapter. Actually, I probably should have… Oh well. Now, before we plunge into the story, I owe a reviewer an explanation.

Guest reviewer: To start off with, I don't want you to get the wrong idea. I'm not angry at you. To answer your question, I had stated in The Pixie Hollow Miracle that this trilogy takes place in a sort of parallel dimension where the snow machine never malfunctioned when Milori sent it over the cliff, and, as a result, nobody thought of frosting the warm fairies' wings, the ban was never lifted, and nobody knows that the contact of two siblings' wings will cause them to heal. Now, as to the portion about the winter fairies in the warm seasons, that is the part of the trailer that angered me. Even if they have snow machines (which I didn't see), it has been established that it's a TEMPORARY solution because the ice eventually runs out! Disney has been fairly consistent with maintaining the rules that they set in the Pixie Hollow universe. Why break em now?! These rules are what make it so easy to write Pixie Hollow stories! Gah! It's just so infuriating! (Takes a deep breath.) I'm sorry, I just needed to get that out of my system. Again, I'm not angry at you, I'm angry at Disney.

I don't get why they won't do anything! Crystal thought angrily. How can they just sit idly by while everyone (including them!) dies? I mean, sure there's the whole suicide part, but don't the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the one? Plus, it'll happen anyways, so all they're doing is acting selfish!

In the midst of her thoughts, Crystal failed to notice how close she was to the border until after she had already crossed. As soon as she had done so, the summer heat hit her like a freight train. The change in air pressure sent her tumbling wildly through the air. Maybe this wasn't a good idea, she thought as she tried to regain control. Eventually she managed and started off towards the Pixie Dust Tree.

At any other time, the land Crystal flew over would have filled her with awe. Unfortunately, she was to focused to notice the beauty of Spring. Plus, she had other problems to deal with. As Crystal flew, the heat began to take its toll. Within seconds, she had begun sweating profusely. Then, fatigue from overheating began to set in. Within only minutes, she was so weak that she could barely move a muscle, and it was all she could do to keep her wings going.

As she struggled on, she began to doubt her decision. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all. Maybe I can make it back to the Winter Woods if I…No! She shook her head. I have to keep going! I can't afford to fail my friends! I must reach the Pixie Dust Tree! With renewed vigor, she fought on at top speed.

However, her strength once again started to fail. As she neared the tree, she began losing altitude. Come on Crystal! Hold it together! Despite her determination, she continued to slowly descend. As she approached the upper deck of the tree, she felt a sudden jerk. Next thing she knew, she was plummeting for the deck, and then darkness overwhelmed her.

Okay, I know this was short. I really should have just written this at the end of chapter 10. But alas, what's done is done. I may go back and change it, but not anytime soon. Anyways, feel free to rate/review/flame/leave me a PM with any questions you may have!

P.S. I have a bunch of half days these next two weeks, so I may be able to release a few chapters really quickly. I'm not making any guarantees though.
