We walked out of the cave. As soon as the sunlight hit us, we were transported back to the testing room. We were greeted by the worried face of the Elite Squad.

"You guys were taking way too long, so we kind of thought you had been killed by the φλογερό κομιστές θάνατο. By the way, where are they?" Charm asked.

I mentally asked Apékrypse if we should tell them that the φλογερό κομιστές θάνατο were now our protectors.

No, Apékrypse said. They may try to kill us. I nodded mentally.

"We destroyed them," I said. They are dead." Chaos nodded.

"You have passed the test. Let your training begin!" He said.

Percy POV

As soon as Chaos said that, I couldn't decide what to feel. Excited or scared. I had heard about military schools and how life went in there, I couldn't imagine what training with Chaos would be like.

I imagined having to wear some type of military outfit, and do morning drills and shooting practice. I shivered. That would be scary. I was no good at archery. I could hit a person standing five hundred feet behind me, when I'm supposed to hit the target a few feet in front of me.

Thankfully, it wasn't anything like that. Chaos put us in groups of the skills we were good at. Apparently, Lyra actually wasn't too bad at archery. I on the other hand, to put it bluntly, sucked.

To sum it up, after testing me for going to archery, Huntress would have had so many arrows impaled in her body, she would have died if she hadn't been agile enough to dodge them. While she was behind me. And the target was 2 feet IN FRONT of me.

The good news, Charm charmspeaked Huntress into deciding not to kill me. The bad news, Huntress refused to train me in archery anymore, meaning I had to be trained by Theseus, and he didn't have a soft spot for family.

By the end of my first day training with Theseus, my arms were hurting from holding a ready position all day.

As I failed to hit the last target, Theseus groaned.

"Fine, Katastrépsi, we'll call it a day. But I want you back here tomorrow, bright and early."

I sighed in relief. As I went down the elevator to my room, I couldn't help but notice how different life was up here. There was more training, and more weapons.

As I looked back to when Chaos asked us to join, I remembered how much Lyra didn't seem to want to join. I was grateful that she was backing me up.

I was so sleepy, I blacked out before my head hit my pillow.

The next morning, I woke up to Lyra's face staring at me.

"Gah!" I yelped as I fell off my bed. Lyra stifled a laugh.

"Why are you in here?" I demanded.

"Because you're late, smarty-pants!" She said, smirking. I looked at the clock. It was eight 'o clock.

"It's only eight 'o clock." I said, confused.

"You were supposed to be at training at six." Uh-oh. I leaped out of bed and grabbed my clothes. I shoved Lyra out of my room and changed. She was still out there when I opened the door.

"Let's go." I said. We stopped by the dining hall so that I could pick up something to eat. When we arrived at the training room, Chaos greeted us with a grim look.

"I know that you two haven't been trained enough, but I have a mission that only you two can accomplish. Are you up for the task?" He asked.

Lyra looked at me, and I nodded. She looked at Chaos.

"We're ready. What is it?"

"You must wreck havoc upon Camp Half-Blood." Those eight words made my blood run cold.

"What?!" I exclaimed.

"It is exactly as I said. You will go to Camp and attack it to cause as much chaos as possible." My head was spinning by now. If I did what Chaos asked, I would never forgive myself. The campers may be children of the gods, but they were also my friends. And I would never turn my back on my friends.

"No," I said weakly. "I can't. And I can probably say the same for Lyra." I looked at her. She had an expressionless face, but I could see relief shine in her eyes.

Chaos's grim face turned to one of outrage. He looked like he was about to yell at us, but then calmed himself. He turned to the Elite Squad.

"Hero, Huntress, take the squad away. Krymeni, Katastrépsi, and I are going to have a little talk," Huntress shot me a worried look, but did as she was told.

As soon as they left, Chaos looked back at us with that same outraged look. Lyra stepped forward.

"There is no way that you will be able to convince us to do it." she said defensively. Chaos gave her an evil grin.

"We shall see about that." Suddenly, I felt something cold hit the back of my head. I started blacking out. The last thing I saw before I fainted was Lyra's body falling right beside me.
