"You know, I decided I hate planes."
"M—me too..."
Lucy sighed as she tried ignoring the looks they were receiving from the other first class members, trying her best to comfort and stop his stupid gagging and whining but since they were all out of motion sickness patches... Natsu was screwed.
Lucy thought about leaving him and going to sit in an empty seat away from the embarrassing fool but she also thought that since he was the one bringing her to Paris, she needed to suffer the embarrassing stares and the gagging fool. Maybe if she knocked him out, it would be better.
"U—urgh, I hate transportation..."
"You're such a strong man in general but your weakness is transportation. That is so not cool of you,"
"S—shut up!"
Lucy laughed and she looked at her hunched over boss who struggled to keep his lunch inside. His face was pale and he didn't look so well that she couldn't help but feel bad for him.
"Hey... why don't you go to sleep? Wouldn't that be easier for you?"
"I can't... I need something to help me fall asleep." Natsu muttered, a frown emerging on his face. She turned her body a bit more to his direction and sunk her fingers into his bubble-gum hair, soothing him out as she ran her fingers through. She smiled as he stiffened at the sudden contact but soon relaxing as he leaned back and looked at her. "W—what are you doing?"
"When I was sick back then, mama would instantly make me better by rubbing my back and running her hands through my hair. She said it made the body relax." Lucy said as she kept running her fingers through his hair. Natsu stared at her before a smile broke out on his lips, a soft laugh bubbling out.
"Luce, you're so weird..."He said before he closed her eyes and started to doze off. Lucy just smiled as she admired the peaceful look that was on his face.
—X—
"Attention ladies and gentlemen, the plane to Paris will be landing momentarily. Again, the plane will be landing. Please put your seatbelts off and turn your electronics off, thank you."
Natsu groaned as he woke up feeling sick again, looking to his right to see the window above Paris then looking to his left to see Lucy sleeping peacefully against his shoulder. His breath hitched as he saw how peaceful and adorable she looked while sleeping. She looked like an actual sleeping beauty and he didn't want to wake her up. But they were going to land soon and he needed her to wake up before they landed, that way, things will be easier.
Natsu sat up and stretched a bit, making sure Lucy's head didn't roll off his shoulder. He gently moved to her side and shook her shoulder slightly, trying to wake her up. "Hey Lucy... you should wake up now. We're about to land."
"Mmngh, five more minutes Natsu..." She mumbled sleepily making him chuckle. He shook her awake again, trying a bit louder. "Lucy, wake up. We're going to land, we're in Paris."
Lucy groaned and opened her eyes, sitting up straight to carefully rub her eyes that were coated in make-up. She looked at Natsu before looking out the window, noticing the pretty lights and colorful buildings. Her eyes widen as she just witness Paris, itself.
"Whoa... it's beautiful."
"Yeah, it is." Natsu agreed, grinning from ear to ear. The couple along with the rest of the members on the crew patiently waited as the plane landed, the flight attendants going back and forth to make sure everyone had their seatbelts on before the captain announced the arrival to Paris.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have arrived in Paris. I hope you all had a safe trip and have a nice day."
Natsu immediately pulled his seatbelt off and grabbed Lucy's hand, hauling her outside of the plane quickly so he could get on land faster. Once his feet had come in contact with the floor, he immediately got on his knees and started to kiss the land, Lucy watching with a horrified and embarrassed expression. "Natsu! What are you doing?! Get off the ground!"
"But Luce, sweet land! Sweet old hard non-moving, land!"
"The CEO of Fairy Tail shouldn't be kissing the ground! Get off before someone sees!" Lucy hissed in anger, making the pink-haired man stick his tongue out before dusting the dirt off his pants. "You're such a killjoy."
"Oh please, wouldn't you be embarrassed to see me on my knees kissing the ground?"
"No, that'll be hilarious."
"It is not! God Natsu, you're such a child sometimes."
"Oh live a little, will you?" Natsu asked as he poked the middle of Lucy's forehead. Lucy whined in annoyance as she pushed his hand away, following the man who only stuck his tongue out at her in response. She growled at him as she wanted to chase him away but knowing that they were at an airport, she decided she'll wait till they arrive at the hotel they were staying at.
"Hey Lucy, I see our driver! Come on!" Natsu shouted as he was way ahead of her, looking to see his assistant falling behind. He waited for her in the same spot he was, grinning when she came close enough for him to swing his arm around her shoulder. "So, what do you want to do first?"
"Rest—that plane ride has my back hurting."
Natsu frowned as he walked with his assistant towards their driver, allowing Lucy to enter the car before he did, sitting right next to the blonde. "But Lucy... we're in Paris! Why don't we go on some sort of adventure?" He suggested, looking at Lucy who didn't look like she was in the mood to adventure. He waited for Lucy's reply but she just simply shook her head. "Maybe tomorrow—I'm tired, Natsu."
"Urgh, you're so boring, Lucy."
"Excuse me? You wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me!"
"That should be my line."
"I'm the one who wanted to come on this trip anyways! You would have been back home working your ass off if I didn't suggest this little vacation. You shouldn't call me boring." Lucy huffed, crossing her arms over her chest. Natsu rolled his eyes in defeat and looked out the window, opposite from where Lucy was looking.
The couple was completely silent, sulking in their own silence till the driver let out a chuckle. The two was quick to look at their driver, raising their brows in unison. "Is something funny?"
"Oh no, nothing sir. I just thought you and your wife act like an old married couple and it was cute."
Lucy flushed as the comment came out of her driver's mouth, looking at Natsu who seemed a bit pleased. This was the second time she was mistaken as Natsu's wife! Were they actually that couple-ish in public? And why wasn't this idiot correcting him but instead enjoying being called her husband?
"Uh, sir, I'm not his wife." Lucy murmured slightly, making the driver's eyes widen. "Really? Are you two seeing each other, then?"
"No... Not that either," Lucy blushed a bit, clearing her throat. "I'm just his assistant."
For some reason, the driver looked too shocked to even drive even farther. The car was stopped at a stop sign for him to stare at the couple from his mirror, a slight chuckle coming from Natsu's mouth. "Is it that shocking?"
"Yes!"
"Well, I'll keep that in mind. Carry on," Natsu said making the driver go on back to driving. Lucy continued to look out the window of Paris, replaying that moment in her head over and over again, wondering what made them look like a couple. She didn't think they looked like a couple—they didn't hold hands, kiss in public, hug, or any of those couple stuff. They do argue but friends argue too, what made her look like 'Mrs. Dragneel'?
Lucy continued to think about till they arrived to the hotel which looked like a magnificent castle. She was dumbfounded on how beautiful and old fashion this place looked but she couldn't ask for anything better. She nearly stuck her face against the window, her eyes twinkling as the lights sparkled in the near darkness.
Natsu laughed at her reaction and thanked the driver as he grabbed Lucy's shoulder, pulling her back. "Be careful, you're going to fall flat on your face when they open the door for you."
"O—oops," Lucy laughed. "This place is beautiful. I can't believe I'm actually here,"
"Well believe it, Luce. Welcome to Paris."
Her eyes started to tinkle as the door opened and a lovely male in a suit bowed as she came out, trying to contain her squeal. She looked behind her to wait for Natsu who greeted the man in perfect French. Her eyes widen when the words came out of his mouth, her heart fluttering slightly in her chest.
Since when has Natsu knew how to speak French? Lucky for her, she took French back in school instead of Spanish like the others. But her French was sort of rough... she did survive off Google Translate and vocabulary sheets.
And why was everyone in Paris so well-dressed? She was lucky she decided to wear some dress and heels to Paris because she didn't want to wear something casual on a first-class plane where everyone dressed nicely.
"Ah, sorry Lucy, let's go inside." Natsu suddenly said as he grabbed her elbow and guided her into the hotel. Lucy, for the millionth time that day, looked amazed once more. The inside was far more beautiful than the outside. The floor was made out of marble and it looked like it was just recently waxed. Chandeliers hung from the ceilings, flowers in beautiful vases, and everything that was so stereotypical for a five-star hotel was here and completely true!
Now that she witness Paris, she could die happily.
"How many rooms would you like?"
"I got a reservation for Natsu Dragneel." Natsu said making the person behind the counter nod. He typed away in his computer till he dangled a pair of golden keys in front of the two, Natsu taking it into his palms. "Merci."
Natsu took a hold of Lucy's arm before pulling her towards the elevator where another lovely man in a suit prepared the elevator, the couple entering before the door closed. "Hey Natsu?"
"Hm?"
"Where'd you learn to speak fluent French?"
"Being the CEO of Fairy Tail, I had to travel a lot so I just learned French so it'll be easier. I can speak other languages too like Spanish, Chinese, and a couple others..."Natsu mumbled as he tried thinking of some other languages he knew. He looked back at Lucy who blushed all of a sudden, his eyebrow rising at her expression. "What's up?"
"N—nothing..."Lucy said, looking away quickly. She could still feel the eyes of her boss on her but she didn't let that bother her. What bothered her was that her boss was bilingual and that was actually so attractive... Lucy just wanted to brag to the others about how he was hers. But in reality, he really wasn't.
The blonde jumped in her spot as the elevator dinged, looking at the double doors as they opened automatically. The couple exited the tiny conservative space till Natsu went on looking for their room, smiling when he found it. He put the golden keys into the lock and unlocked it, opening the door to allow Lucy to enter first, the woman Starstruck. She entered the room and looked around the suite, her eyes twinkling as she took in the whole place.
"This place is beautiful! It's so large and clean and I never want to leave!"
"I can arrange that," Natsu smirked making her giggle in response. "I was joking," She replied before walking down to some other room where it appeared to be their bedroom. She walked on over to the king-sized bed and lied on top of it, liking how soft and comfortable it felt under her skin. "Mmm... this is the life."
"Don't get too used to it because we'll be here for a week, okay?"
"Got it," Lucy mumbled, already dozing off. Natsu rolled his eyes as he kneeled in front of her, grabbing her ankle and pulling off her heels, one by one. He grabbed the heels and placed them by the bed before, shaking Lucy a bit. "Luce, get under the covers if you're going to sleep. The position you're in is very awkward."
"Leave me alone, I'll sleep however I want to."
"I'm just trying to help. And take your dress off; you don't want to wrinkle it,"
Lucy groaned in response and rolled on her bed, looking up at the ceiling and sighing. She stayed in the position before sitting up, looking to see Natsu changing out of his suit and into something more comfortable. "Natsu, I just noticed something."
"What is it?"
"Why is there one bed?"
Natsu looked at her and raised a brow at her confused face. "What do you mean? Of course there's only one bed—it's a single room for two people."
"Isn't there supposed to be like two queen sized beds next to each other like normal?"
"No Lucy, this is Paris, the place of love and where everyone thinks you're fucking in one single room or you're friends and you separately order two rooms for each other."
Lucy stared at Natsu with wide brown eyes as her cheeks flushed a healthy pink, watching as he went from here to there just trying to carry his luggage around. He raised his brow at her when he noticed she was completely still and frozen. "What?"
"How can you?! We're not sleeping on the same bed together! That's what couples do!"
"So what? I won't touch you so don't freak out over sharing a bed." He snorted, crouching down low to pick up his clothes and place them into the drawers. He closed the drawers and looked at Lucy who still seemed horrified at the thought of sharing a bed with him. He sighed and stood back up, dusting the invisible dust off his clothes. "If you're so horrified at the thought of us sharing a bed, I'll just sleep on the couch."
"N—no! You shouldn't do that for me, I'll sleep on the couch. Anyways, I'm smaller than you so I can fit."
"It doesn't matter—I can't let a woman sleep on the couch. Just sleep on the bed," Natsu waved it off, turning around to look for something in his bag. Lucy frowned at the thought of his boss sleeping on the couch even though he was the one who brought them to Paris, mentally arguing with herself that she should just share the stupid bed with him. After all, it was king-sized and there wasn't a rule they had to sleep close to each other...
"Hey Natsu?"
"Yeah, what's up?"
"If I let you sleep on the bed... you promise not to do anything to me?"
"Why would I do something to you in your sleep?" He scoffed, looking a bit offended that she would accuse of him of doing something perverted. Lucy shrugged in response and also decided she should sort out her clothes too, grabbing her bag to lay it down on the floor. She pulled out shorts and t-shirt before standing up and going to the bathroom to change.
She looked like she was about to cry when she saw the size of the bathtub.
This place sure is heaven.
—X—
When Lucy woke up, it was dark but also very light outside. She was very comfortable and also very warm but she had to use the bathroom so badly, she got up anyways. But first, she looked outside the window to stare out in awe, her chocolate brown eyes widening in surprise.
The city was absolutely beautiful and everything was so sparkly and shiny. No wonder it was so light out, the lights made everything shine. The tower was also lit up so that people could see it better in the darkness, her insides doing all sorts of summersaults. She really wanted to go there... she really wanted to go out. But Natsu was sleeping and it was just 2AM.
Lucy frowned and turned her head to look at Natsu's sleeping figure, slowly walking towards him to hover on top of him. She stared at his sleeping face till she remembered she had to pee.
The blonde quickly ran into the bathroom and did her business before she ran back to the bed, jumping on top of Natsu who woke up immediately, yelping in surprise. "What the fuck!"
"Natsu, wake up, wake up!"
"What do you want?!" Natsu croaked in annoyance, looking at Lucy with a tired expression. Lucy grinned sheepishly as she pulled the covers off him. "Let's go on an adventure!"
"No."
"What—why not?!"
"It's like two in the morning, you jumped on me, woke me up in the craziest way, I almost shit myself, and you're asking for me to go on an adventure with you? You're fucking crazy, go back to sleep."
Lucy frowned and pouted while looking at Natsu who seemed to have his eyes closed. But after a moment of pouting and giving him the super effective Lucy pout, he groaned threw the covers off him. "Fine, fine! Where do you want to go?"
"To the tower! I want to see it up-close and maybe we can go on a walk!" Lucy said in excitement, pointing at the shining tower that could be seen from the window. Natsu narrowed his eyes before looking for some clothes, waddling from one place to another, worn out. Why was he even doing this for her?
Without any second thought, he put some pants on and threw on a t-shirt, turning around to see Lucy already changed into some dress, rubbing his eyes sleepily. His hair was everywhere and he was pretty sure he had drool stains on his face but if seeing Lucy so happy and smiley, he couldn't care for anything else.
"What do you want to do at the Eiffel tower anyways?" Natsu asked while yawning, grabbing coat and his wallet, looking at Lucy who strapped her heels on. She smiled at her boss as she grabbed her purse which had everything inside. "Because it's pretty."
"So you woke me up at 2 in the morning just to go see the stupid tower because it's 'pretty'?" Natsu asked in annoyance. Lucy laughed and shook her head, wrapping her arm around his. "Well, I just couldn't sleep after looking at the lights and I wanted to view it. Anyways, looking at the city during the night-time is the best I heard!"
"Yeah, it is." Natsu agreed, struggling to keep his eyes open. The lights were incredibly bright and he was still half-asleep that he couldn't even walk straight. The two walked down the street and towards the tower that was growing larger with every step they took, Lucy still very giddy about everything around herself. She looked up at Natsu and smiled brightly, the male returning the gesture once he noticed her beautiful smile. He ruffled her hair and stopped walking when he saw a coffee shop open. He quickly pulled her into the shop, ordering a large cup of caffeine. He sighed in pleasure when he took a sip, yelping in surprise when she tugged on his arm and practically dragged the male out.
He trailed behind her as they came to the tower, the blonde jumping up and down in glee. She shoved her phone into his hands when he came close to her, begging for him to take a picture of her with the tower.
He ended up taking one of his face by accident then one of her with the tower, handing the phone back to the woman who looked like a child on Christmas day.
"Jesus, calm yourself. You're going to hurt yourself accidentally and I'll have to take care of you," Natsu mumbled as he grabbed her shoulders to steady her. She pouted and hugged his arm again, smiling widely. "Isn't this romantic, Natsu?"
"Yeah, it is."
"Thanks for bringing me here! I'm definitely going to come back!"
"And I'll make sure to be the one to bring you," Natsu mumbled as she ran off on her own again. He trailed behind her slowly, sipping on his coffee, his stomach making a familiar sound that signaled he was actually hungry. He frowned and looked for a place to eat, gasping when he saw Lucy running somewhere without him by his side, quickly running after the blonde.
"Lucy, get back here! You need supervision!"
