Well, we are almost near the end everyone. This chapter will be a short one, but it's basically my take on the season 5 finale. Read and hopefully enjoy! Also, a big Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone! I hope all of your vacations or holidays or time spent with family and friends are great!

I do not own Jackie Chan Adventures, only Mala, Pearl and other OCs.

"Whoa… what happened here?" Mala asked out loud as she landed back in the old junkyard. It looked significantly worse than when she left it, and that was saying something. Cars were on fire and crushed like they had been run over and flattened by tanks. She noticed several black vans that looked like they used to be in good condition quite recently, but they were covered in scorch marks. "Pearl, I have a bad feeling about this."

All of a sudden, a loud and menacing roar echoed through the city. Mala looked up and caught a glimpse of a large green, winged demon breathing fire all over the city as smoke rose from the damaged and burning buildings. "I-is that?" Mala squinted her eyes, focusing on the flying demon that soared over the burning city. "It is," she muttered, "come on, girl." Mala held out her arm and Pearl gracefully jumped onto her shoulder.

Mala jumped up into a sky and hovered in place as she searched for her target. "All right, where did he go?" She noticed a large swirl of dark energy manifesting over Candlestick park, the sports arena, as pale, serpentine demons poured out from there into the sky. "My money's on there." Mala flew over to the sports arena, avoiding the flocks of demons as she went before landing on the roof of the stadium. She could see Drago hovering over the middle of the field as chaos reigned below him.

Mala stepped back in horror when she saw what Drago had turned into. "Oh my god…" she breathed. He was huge; at least as tall as a five-story building. Large wings sprouted from his back, as did larger curved horns from his forehead and disgusting tentacles from his chin. Down below, she could see Ice, Cobra and Fist, but they didn't look entirely the same as when she last saw them. If she had to bet, she would put her money on Drago giving them more snippets of Chi. She didn't recognize most of the people they were fighting, but she could make out Jackie Chan and Captain Black among them.

"Chan! You're just in time to see me rip this world WIDE OPEN!" she heard him shout. Even his voice had changed too. It now sounded far deeper and more menacing to match the way he now looked.

"Drago!" she shouted, catching the dragon's attention. "What are you doing?" she asked, flying up to his face.

"I'm doing what I said I'd do, Mala: creating a world for our kind! Think about it, Mala, demons and humans will never accept us and humans don't deserve their world! So I'm taking it! You can still be my queen Mala, I couldn't have done this without you!" he bellowed, holding out his hand.

"What do you mean 'you couldn't have done this without me'?" she asked suspiciously.

"If it wasn't for you, I never would have gotten the idea for how to get all the Demon Chi straight from Section 13. You made all of this possible!" he boasted.

"I didn't want ANY of this!" she yelled. "All I wanted was to be happy… with you! But I just wasn't enough for you, was I? You always had to have more of everything!"

"There's still time to join me, Mala. You can still be my queen," he repeated.

Mala held her head down and tightly clenched her fists in anger. "If I gave you the idea that led to this, then it's my responsibility to stop you!"

Drago stared at her before narrowing his bright, glowing red eyes viciously. "So be it, Mala." Drago inhaled and let out a stream of fire from his mouth towards Mala. She raised her arms and formed a crystal barrier to shield her from the heat. Just as she recalled, the heat from his fire caused her crystals to spark with blue electricity. She aimed her crystals at Drago to send the electricity they generated right towards him.

At first, Drago cried out as the electricity hit him before chuckling. "Oh, did you forget, Mala? Thunder Demon Chi cancels out electricity," he said with a malicious grin.

"That's fine. I've got a few more tricks up my sleeve!" Mala raised her arms as crystal crows formed in the sky behind her. As she waved her arm, they descended in a swarm onto Drago. He waved his arms, trying to swat the tiny crystal crows as Mala flew around and struck the back of his head with a rain of crystal shards. Drago turned around and grabbed Mala tightly in his hand before throwing her straight to the ground. Her impact left a small crater and she weakly tried to prop herself up on her elbows. "Drago… please," she whispered.

"You made your choice, Mala," he muttered, before stomping his foot roughly on her. When he lifted his foot, Mala's crystal form was shattered and she lay in the crater formed by the impact unconscious. "You could have had everything, Mala."

Drago moved away from Mala and raised his arms, as lightning struck from the clouds above. Large purple serpent demons rose from the hole in the middle of the arena. "The future of this world belongs to me!" he announced.

"I think not, boy!" Everyone turned towards a section of the arena that had just been blown down by an external force. "First you must pay for your treachery!" From the clouds of dust from the collapsing debris emerged Shen Du.

"Dad?" Drago asked, shocked.

As Drago and his father battled, Pearl pounced over to Mala and gently lifted her master out of the crater. She quickly jumped across the field to one of the tunnels, safely away from the chaos. She came to a few minutes later and saw Pearl standing over her. "Pearl… what happened?" she asked, rubbing her head as her body ached all over. Pearl helped her up as they moved back towards the arena. "Is that… Shen Du?" she asked. Though she had never actually seen the demon that was Drago's father in person, she had seen illustrations of him in her father's books. Seeing the titanic demon in person was nothing compared to the ancient drawings made by people long ago. Those drawings didn't do him any justice and she could barely suppress the shiver that crept down her spine as she saw the two demons fighting.

Suddenly, a green light emerged from the crack in the ground, sucking in all the demons that had emerged from it. Mala recognized the light as a Chi spell activating and could feel it's force pulling her towards the crack in the earth. The force of the pull lifted her off her feet, causing Mala to flail her arms, desperately trying to grab a hold or something. She felt something grasp her forearm, stopping the spell from dragging her any further back into the Demon Netherworld. She looked up and saw Pearl tightly gripping her forearm in one hand and a metal railing in the other. "Pearl!" she cried out in relief with a smile.

She looked back and saw Drago being dragged into the abyss. He had his claws digging into the dirt in a desperate attempt to cling to something solid. "Father, please help me!" she heard him beg.

"You deserve such a fate," father replied to son.

"I'm sorry! Please!" he pleaded. Mala saw Shen Du reach down to grab his son's hand when all of a sudden, Drago seized Shen Du's arm and yelled, "psych," and pulled Shen Du into the crack with him. She saw Shen Du disappear into the abyss shortly followed by Drago as the crack sealed itself and the red clouds above dispersed. Daylight returned and Mala landed roughly on the ground when she no longer felt the spell's effects on her. Pearl helped her up once again and Mala watched below as Chan and his allies celebrated their victory.

But that's not what Mala was concerned with. She couldn't tear her eyes away from the abyss that up until a few seconds ago, led to the Demon Netherworld. Drago was gone, for good. She would never see him again. She felt relieved, but also heartbroken. Relief that San Francisco and the world was now safe from Drago's crazy regime, but heartbroken and upset that she would never see the boy she loved again, even more so that this is what tore the two of them apart before they even had a chance to start anything. She took this chance to slip away unnoticed by Chan and his friends and slowly flew back towards the Oakland Bay Bridge.

Normally, she'd try to process what just happened and everything, but right now, all Mala wanted to do was get as far away from all of this as she could. She retrieved her belongings from the crashed bus and just started walking. She didn't know where she was going, but all she knew was that she wanted to be away from the city where she lost so much.

But wait, we're not quite done yet. There is still one last chapter!

Next Chapter - Bargain with a Wolf: Drago has lost everything meaningful and dear to him, but a certain someone in the Demon Netherworld may be able to help him get it all back.

Cheers!
