My. C.O.P.S Boyfriend
Chapter 11
~Two Years Later~
It's been two years since Bella had gotten with Edward.
Two year since Bella knew what freedom was.
There were times when Bella would be head over heels in love with him. Then other times she would question their relationship by the way he acted.
After what happened with Mike, Edward was more protective.
There was one incident, last summer when Edward had forbidden her to drive the truck her dad had given her.
Charlie was having a friend over; his name was Billy Black, a native Quileute that lived on the La Push reserves. He was a little older than her father, with dark ashy tan skin, and long grayish black hair. He was handicapped from a past accident, forever living in a metal wheel chair.
Billy came over with his young son, Jacob, who was 15 at the time. He was a tall boy for his age, standing at about 6'3. He had long silky black hair that was usually tied in a ponytail. He was very athletic, making his body bulky with muscle. Jacob certainly didn't look 15, but his mind reflected a normal goofy teenage boy.
They were coming over in the evening, to watch the big game on Charlie's new flat screen TV. Bella hadn't seen them in years, but she knew they were close friends with Charlie, and her and Jacob use to play together in the backyard.
Bella was currently up in her room, chatting on the phone with Edward while she cleaned her closet. She heard the crackling of the gravel as tires pulled into her drive way.
"Hold on Edward," she tells him, hearing him hum on the other line in response. She moves to the hall to look out the front window, noticing a red beat up truck in the drive way. With the phone pressed to her chest, she calls down to her dad. "Dad! They're in the driveway!"
Charlie jumped up from his spot on the couch excitedly. "I got it!" He called back up to her.
Bella went back into her room, pressing the phone back to her ear.
"Who's in the drive way?" The slightly deeper but still musical voice of Edward rumbled on the other line.
"I'm pretty sure it's Billy and his son Jacob Black," she answers, putting the last of her clothes in her drawers.
"Jacob?" Edward said, his voice questioning.
"Yeah an old friend of mine, we use to play when I visited Charlie," she explains. Hearing the door open and booming voices echo though the house, Bella figured it was a good time to head downstairs and reintroduce herself. "Hey Edward I have to go, talk to you later?"
There was silence before Edward replied. "Okay Bella...I love you."
Bella smiled, "I love you too Edward."
She hung up and headed down stairs, walking into the kitchen where she saw Charlie pull out some beers. "Hey dad, where are they?"
He motioned to the living room, "Jakes real excited to see you," he comments, a sly smile on his face.
Bella nodded, a smile playing on her lips. "It's been a while."
She walked in, and was immediately engulfed in a huge warm hug. "Bella!" A loud bark sounded above her as she was crushed into a muscular chest.
She laughed, "Jacob! I can't breathe!"
The young boy released her. "Oh Bella I haven't seen you in ages! How ya been?" His face was elated as he rejoiced his excitement of his reunion with his old friend.
Bella giggled, "I'm good! Just finished school for the summer. How come you haven't come by sooner?"
Jacob shrugged, "I've been too busy, my old man has been putting me too work. I've also been slipping on my grades so he's been pushing me into tutoring classes. I've finally passed so now he's giving me more free time. We should hang out sometime!" He suggested, his grin growing even bigger.
Bella's smile altered though, she knew for a fact that Edward wouldn't like her hanging out with Jacob, at least by themselves. But she nodded anyway, turning to greet Billy and changing the subject.
Turns out that the truck they had pulled up in was actually meant for Bella, as a gift. Although she was happy for the thoughtful gift, Edward didn't like it too much.
The next day Edward came over, his lips forming a straight line when he noticed the new vehicle in the driveway.
"It looks like it'll fall apart the moment you take it over 50mph; it can't be safe!" He argued with her, walking around the red metal as he inspected it thoroughly.
He parked his shiny silver Volvo beside her new car, making it pale in comparison.
Bella looked down; her spirits seemed to be crushed. She quite liked her new truck. "Well you don't have to drive it so don't worry."
Edward gave her a fierce look, "I don't want you driving it."
Bella opened her mouth; she wanted to yell at him. "It's my truck; I'm supposed to drive it!"
"Well you aren't," he said in a final tone.
Bella huffed in frustration, turning away from him to continue to wipe a yellow sponge against the tire.
She felt a pair of hands slip around her waist, pulling her tightly into the body that held her. Edward nipped at her neck, pushing his groin slightly against the round of her bottom. Bella bit her lip, trying to stay angry with him. But she could feel it slipping away as he continued to kiss and grind into her.
"Oh my beautiful baby," he cooed into her ear. "You know I love you right?"
Bella whimpered, dropping the sponge and leaning back against him. "Y-yes," she managed to murmur out.
Edward smirked against her skin, his hand coming up to cup her breast. "Edward!" She gasped, her eyes scanning to see if anyone was around. She prayed to god her father wasn't watching from the window.
Edward chuckled, his hand slightly massing the flesh. "And you know I want you to be safe," he continue, his voice was taunting, his hands were teasing.
Bella could feel herself grow wet as he continued to caress her. "Yes!"
His hold on her tightens, "Then I don't want you to drive this truck. It's too dangerous, especially with Forks' slippery roads when it rains."
Bella snapped her eyes opened and she tried to pull away from him, but he was not having that. "That's not fair!" She groaned out. "My dad got it for me, I would seem ungrateful if I didn't use it."
Edward seemed to contemplate on what she was saying. "Fine, you can drive it, but only after you get new tires. Ones more capable of driving in the snow and rain." He twirled her around and smashed his lips to her, pushing her small body into the said truck.
He was too protective. And it wasn't just against people but any little thing that put her in harm's way.
And then there was his annoying possessive side; the side that was always overbearing and constantly getting on her nerves. At first it was cute and somewhat attractive, but then it started to become a problem.
Like this one time, when Jacob was unexpectedly at a football game.
Edward's parents convinced him to get into a sport, to get out his anger and frustrations. Naturally, the only sport willing to take him was the football team. So in their sophomore year, Edward had joined the Spartan's football team. Of course Edward didn't like it. He hated the after school practices that took up most of his time, he rather be spending it with Bella.
To stop his complaining, Bella stayed for practice too. Siting on the sidelines to support and encourage him.
When he had football during the school day, she had gym. That was probably the only period they spend apart in.
It happened on the first playoff game, they were playing the LaPush Wolves. Edward had actually been excited for this game, something that was unusual for him. Bella made a t-shirt with his jersey number on it and "I love Edward" written on the back. It made Edward happy when he saw her wear it for the first time.
It was 3rd quarter, the rain decided to unleash a down pour that cooled the sweat off the players, and drenched the crowd.
Bella was thankful to pack an umbrella.
She stood in the bleachers, griping the umbrella while standing on her feet, cheering on the top of her lungs for Edward.
She spotted him on the field, dressed out in his full gear. She blew him a kiss in which he caught it and pressed it to helmet at where his mouth was.
She was sitting by Edward's parents, accompanying them.
"I think it's so nice that Edward finally found something he could do," she heard Esme comment beside her. She wore a rain coat, letting the water bounce off of her. Beside her, Carlisle nodded in agreement and clapped with the crowd.
Bella could only smile; she was happy he found something he could do other than hanging out with her. It was a little refreshing to see him run out on the field and interact with the other players.
She noticed Jasper siting at the top of the bleachers, watching the game with neutral eyes. Did he ever have emotion? Bella knew for a fact Jasper wasn't into sports, so what was he doing at a game? She pushed thoughts to the back of her mind, turning her focus back to the raging field.
The crowd erupted into shouts and applause as Forks scored another touchdown.
The score was 48-40, with the Spartans in the lead. It would be a close game.
She scanned the field, and noticed a certain wolf that she recognized.
#36. BLACK.
"Is that Jacob?" She asked out loud, her eyes narrowing to focus on the player.
"What dear?" Esme asked, leaning closer to her.
"Oh nothing," she dismissed, shaking her thoughts.
She looked closer and sure enough, Jacob was playing football.
She waves to him, trying to get his attention. When he finally noticed her among the crowd, he waved back and blew her a kiss, in which she shook her head and giggled.
Edward noticed the exchanged, and he was seeing red.
Who was this bitch that dared to blow a kiss at HIS girl? He growled under his helmet and set up for the next line up. He looked at Bella again, and noticed that she was still mouthing things to the other player.
He was dead.
As soon as the quarterback gave the signal, Edward took off. He swiftly maneuvered through the bodies of the teams. He pushed passed players until he was zoomed in on a certain boy who he was about the murder on the field.
He gained on him, and he spared a quick second to look at Bella. Her laughing face contorted into that of shock and fear. He plowed into the boy, knocking him off his feet and slamming him into the ground.
The boy gave a yelp of pain as his body made contact with the hard ground. Edward grabbed his helmet and spat in his face; his voice was rough and scratchy as he snarled down at the boy. "Isabella Swan is mine! If I ever catch you looking at her you're going to wish you'd never picked up a football again!" He pushed him back to the ground, vaguely aware of the whistle being blown.
Bella watched in horror as Edward slammed into Jacob. Watching the force of their bodies collide, she knew Jacob would be hurt.
She heard Esme gasp beside her, and she and Carlisle rose to their feet.
The game was halted and Edward's team mates had to push him away from Jacob. The stadium was silent as coaches and medics rushed the wolves' player, checking him out. Carlisle made his way down to the field, along with Esme and Bella. He ran to the player while Esme and Bella went to go find Edward.
He was being yelled at by the coach, who was more scared than angry. When he spotted Bella, he pushed his team members out of the way and took off his helmet. He threw it the ground as he came closer.
"Edward! Why did you-," but Bella was cut off by a pair of lips.
Smashing against hers, Edward kissed Bella with force; more of an act of territorial behavior, as if making sure everyone could see she was kissing HIM. She squeaked in surprised and tried to pull away, but Edward persisted, sliding his tongue into deep into her mouth.
"Edward stop!" Esme shouted from beside him, her hands tugging on his uniform to get him off of Bella.
He ignored her, his hands growing tighter, and the kiss becoming almost unbearable.
He finally pulled away to breath, and because Bella was almost blue in the face. She gasped a breath of air and her face was flushed red from embarrassment. "Edward I can't believe you did that!" She all but screamed at him.
"You're mine Isabella! Always remember that," he barked back at her, pulling her into his arms in an iron grip.
Jacob didn't press charges, a favor to Bella. Billy wasn't too pleased but he kept quiet. Charlie was never told what had happened, so he went on oblivious of the whole situation. For all he knows, it was a football accident. Carlisle also donated a few grand to the school to keep Edward on the team, but they finished the game without him.
Bella was scared to talk or look at any boy after that. She was scared Edward would hurt someone else, and get into more trouble.
And then there was his scary obsessive side. The side that scared her the most. The side that kept her around him at all time. Having every class with her, having his locker next to hers, and taking her to and from school, were a few examples of his desire to always be around her.
She remembered the secret closet she found in his room, holding not clothes, but pictures of her.
She had freaked out at the time, like some horror stalker movie when some teenager finds creepy portraits of themselves in their teachers work office. There were hundreds of pictures, of her as a little girl and pictures of her now. Pictures of them, as well as the private pictures she had sent him.
"What is this?!" She yelled at him, holding a picture of her posing seductively.
Edward's pose stayed calm. "It's a picture you sent me of you," he said simply.
Bella threw the picture to the ground in anger. "You said you deleted them!"
Edward shrugged, leaning against the door frame with his arms crossed. "I did, after I printed it," he snickered.
She screamed in frustration, pushing past him. Edward didn't let her get far though; he grabbed her wrist and pulled her back. "Where do you think you're going?"
"Away from you!" She snapped, struggling against his hold.
He pulled her into his arms and shushed her. "Calm down Bella."
Bella struggled harder. "Why do you have these pictures of me?" She asked accusingly, she felt embarrassed at all the secret pictures she had sent him.
Edward spoke as if he were answering a question like 'what's for dinner?' "I like to look at you."
Bella had scoffed and called him a pervert. In which Edward angrily pushed her to the bed and pinned her into the comforter.
"Oh I'm the pervert?" He hissed into her ear. "Do you see the way all the boys, even the teachers look at you? I'm your boyfriend; I should be allowed to have pictures of you."
"But it's creepy," she whimpered.
"It's only because I love you so much, I want to see you every minute of the day, even when you're not here," he explains, his hold on her loosening.
Bella's eyes softened, "I know Edward...but it's still creepy!" She exclaimed.
Edward chuckled, leaning down to peck her lips. "Get used to it babe. Now, tell me you love me," he demanded.
Bella displayed a fake smile, her lips quivering. "I-I love you," she tells him, obeying.
She certainly did not get used to it.
She was tired of all the scared looks people gave her whenever they see her walking in the hall.
She was tired of having no freedom away from Edward.
She was tired of having no one else other than him.
She was tired of having no friends!
Isabella Swan was lonely; regardless of the crazy, obsessive, possessive boyfriend that hug on her every minute of the day.
And then Mary Alice Brandon came into town.
