This is the first of three chapters that will be back stories. I will split them up so that next chapter will be normal. I just figured you guys want to know how they got captured so I figured I'd let you know! The three back story chapters will be about...
1.) Uryu & Renji 2.) Rukia & Chad 3.) Ichigo
I'll make sure to tell you when it's a back story, 'kay? I think that this will be fun. I'm pretty sure next chap (I already have most of it written) will have Ryuken and then we'll go more into some human world stuff and yeah. I'm thinking this whole fic will be around… 20-25 chapters? Yeah, that sounds about right. Thank you guys so much for supporting this story, your nice comments help me push forward and finish all these chapters so keep it up and so will I!
My story will only get better. *devious laughter*
The three back story chaps will not have a quote.
We start with Uryu and Renji against Szayel Aporro Granz!
"Hey, Kid, I need ya ta get up now." I shook him in my arms, but his eyes didn't even crack open. "I really need ya now!"
"It's no use, Abarai. I used an intense paralyzer. He should be out for a few days."
"That's a fucking cheaters move! Fight like a man, not a coward!"
Golden eyes narrowed in annoyance.
"Normally I would've beat you two into the ground, but Aizen will not allow it this time. Besides, we can weaken and capture you. The Quincy would become mush before he went with me." The butterfly Espada went from far away to kneeling at my side. "Goodnight, Soul Reaper."
"Good morning, Quincy." Blue eyes bursted open and revealed a look of pure terror, but covered it up with pride as quickly as possible. But I still saw it. Without his glasses on, he was easy to read. "What's wrong, my dear?"
He glared straight ahead, not knowing where exactly I was at.
"Show yourself, Granz."
I complied by sitting on the stool right in front of where he was strapped to my normal dissection table. He was obviously still paralyzed, but was finally able to move the muscles in his face.
"Here I am! And, let me tell you, I'm very flattered that you remember my voice."
"Who would forget something so brittle?"
It was meant to be a snide comment, but I didn't let it faze me.
"Why thank you, Quincy-chan~ You have a rather lovely voice as well." He sent daggers at me with his eyes. "Such a cold expression! You should be grateful that you're even alive."
"Grateful that you knocked me out in the middle of a battle when I could've taken you down? Grateful that you're now going to experiment on me till there's nothing left?"
A smirk forced itself onto my face.
"I wish, but that is not your purpose."
There was a knock on my lab's door before it was opened.
"You're finally awake? Good, we need to get started." He walked around till he was standing next to me and in front of the Quincy. The Quincy tried to hid his squint with a glare, but was obviously trying to get a look at who was standing next to me. "You do have beautifully blue eyes, Uryu-kun. Sadly, you can't see a darn thing without your glasses, can you?" A mock meant to sound like concern. Aizen looked towards me with his normal smile. "Where are his glasses?"
I stood and walked over to a small table where they should have been, but weren't. "Lumina! Veronica!" The two bounced into the room with bright smiles on their faces. "Did you move his personal effects from this table?"
"Yes, Szayel-sama!"
It's nice to have people blindly follow you, but when they're complete idiots it can become an annoyance.
"Where did you put them?"
They bounced away and quickly back with a tub containing his glasses, Quincy cross, and what was left of his uniform. He was wearing an extra of my outfit and I could see Aizen's obvious repulsion to it on him. Opening the container, I grabbed the frames and walked back to Uryu.
He was still glaring, but his jaw was set and he didn't look like he was going to say anything else. I placed them on and he basically growled when I moved part of his bangs out of the way of his face. Looking away from me, his narrowed gaze fell on Aizen's smiling face and the glare and set jaw quickly turned into wide eyes and slightly open mouth in shock.
"You..."
"Me? What is it, Uryu-kun? Cat got your tongue?"
"Why are you here? Where are the others?"
"I'm here for you and don't worry about the others. They're none of your concern."
His glare came back as shock dwindled away.
"Why are you here for me?"
He smiled and used the back of his hand to gently stroke the Quincy's cheek. The boy tried to recoil, but his head was as close as it could possibly be to the table and the rest of his body was strapped down, not to mention temporarily paralyzed.
"It makes no sense to tell you since you won't remember anyway." Daggers were thrown again, but Aizen just gave another gentle smile. "I just came to say goodnight. I'll see you in the morning, Uryu-kun."
I grabbed a purple needle off the counter (luckily, Lumina and Veronica hadn't moved or broke that) and took the Quincy's limp arm from the restraint. As soon as it was unstrapped, it went from limp to hitting the needle out of my hand. I didn't think the paralysis would wear off so soon and didn't expect him to be clever enough to make that plan so quickly. I could only watch as the needle fell and was caught by Aizen.
His smile fell.
"I thought you would be a little more careful. I did tell you that he's the smart one and you also took him on in battle, so you should now his strategizing abilities." I moved out of the way as he grabbed the Quincy arm, rendering its movement, and stuck the needle into a vein. The Quincy tried his hardest to keep his eyes open, but couldn't do it long enough to even see Aizen pull the needle out. All he could do was hear Aizen's most likely very confusing sentence. "When you wake, you will be born anew."
I woke up and could only see the darkness of what seems to be a cage. My mind traced back to the last thing I had seen which was the kid close to death. I whispered to him, incase he was locked up with me.
"Kid? Are you there?"
No response from him, but someone did speak up.
"He's not here."
"What do you mean?"
"You are talking about that human, pretty boy?" I told him that I was. "He's busy and you won't be seein' 'im soon."
"And who the hell're you?"
"Gilga. You are strong, right?"
"I wouldn't be vice if I weren't."
"Good. I'm only helpin' you, 'cause you might be fun if I take you and the strawberry on at the same time so don't die yet."
"Don't you at least wanna know who I am?"
"You're a vice, so you at least have ta be a little strong. The rest doesn't matter."
The door opened and the light from the hall let me see his tall, lanky form. It also let me see the sword, bigger than Ichigo's, hung across his back.
"It's Abarai. Renji Abarai."
Gilga looked back at me with a predatory gleam in his one visible eye.
"You have the same hopeless spunk as Kurosaki. I'll chop it out like I did to the strawberry's." He faced forward and began to walk away, the door slowly closing. "See you, Abarai."
Where am I? This blackness… it's surrounding me, engulfing me… somehow blinding me… I'm slipping, falling through the slime… What happened? I can't think… my brain seems to be shutting down, or maybe… opening up… Finaly, I made it through and landed on my hands and knees on the cold ground. A voice came through my senses, which seemed to take all my pain away.
"I would like to welcome you into this world and introduce us both. I am Sosuke and your name shall be Uryu."
The words were a little confusing. "Sosuke, as in 'right'? And Uryu, as in 'rain dragon'?"
Sosuke smiled at what I had questioned. "You seem to be very bright, Uryu. I think you'll fit in quite nicely as our prince."
