Me: Welcome back guys, sorry for the long wait. School is a pain in the arse and trying to find a job has been taking up a lot of time. Welp, let's get to it.
8:40 A.M.
"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking," the captain of the ferry says. "We will be arriving in Dewford Town in about twenty minutes. We are traveling at a comfortable twenty five miles per hour. We ask you to please enjoy the rest of the trip and we will be in Dewford Town in a little while."
"Then I went out of the room and down the marble steps into the rain, leaving them there together," Tracey says finishing off the fifth chapter.
"That Gatsby guy has a thing for a married doll, Daisy," Max says. "I'm definately sure he is stalking her. I mean, owning a house across the bay of your former lover, very stalker like if you ask me."
"I can't fathom the fact that the one dude fixed one of the biggest sporting events ever just to make a profit," May says.
"I still want to know what that green light is about," Tracey says.
"All will be revealed soon," Chris chimes in. After a short pause, Chris asks, "How long did the captain say we will be at Dewford Town?"
"Twenty minutes," May says.
9:05 A.M.
The ferry has made it to port. The ferry docks and extends a platform for the passengers to get off. The four trainers get off the ferry and walk on the dock. "Ah, the shoretown of Dewford," Max says stretching his arms.
"Lets find the Pokemon center," Chris says. "We should stay there for the next couple of days." The other three trainers nod.
After about fifteen minutes of walking around Dewford Town, the four trainers walk into the Pokemon Center, only to be greeted by Nurse Joy. "Hello, and welcome to the Pokemon Center," the nurse says happily.
"Chansey," the nurse's Pokemon aid says.
"Nurse Joy, how did you get here?" Chris asks surprised
"What? Oh, you must have meet my older sister from the previous town."
"Older sister?"
"Take a look," Max says holding up a photo of all the Nurse Joy's of the Hoenn Region.
"Is it the same for the police force?" Max holds up another photo of all the Officer Jenny's in the Hoenn region. "I had to ask."
"We'll take care of your Pokemon for you," Nurse Joy says pulling out the usual pokeball trays from under the desk. "Just place the pokeballs in the tray and I'll take care of them for you." The four trainers place their pokeballs on the tray and Nurse Joy, with Chansey, take the pokeballs to the back of the building for care.
"Well, now what?" Chris asks.
"We can go down to the gym, just to see if it is open," Max suggests.
"It isn't," a trainer says walking by them. "Brawly is out of town in the Kalos region for a business trip. He won't be back for another two days."
"Oh, thank you," May says and the trainer walks away. "Welp, what to do now?"
"I guess we can just walk around the town for a while," Tracey suggest. The other three trainers agree with Tracy's idea. So, the four trainers leave the Pokemon Center and walk around Dewford Town. This town is like any other shore town. It is always breezy or windy, the smell of salt is in the air, and it is always lively. During the walk, the four trainers find an empty baseball diamond.
"Still usable," Chris says. "Did anyone pack mits, a bat and a ball.
"I did," Max and Tracey say. Tracey pulls out a bat, a ball and two gloves while Max pulls out two gloves.
"Lets play for a while," May says. Everyone takes a position. Chris bats first, Tracey is the pitcher, May is the catcher and Max is in the field (both infield and outfield).
Tracey winds up the pitch, releases the ball and Chris hits it. It is a pop fly going to left field. Max sprints to get under the ball while Chris sprints to first base. The ball lands just behind Max. Chris makes his way to second base. Max grabs the ball and throws it to Tracey. By this point, Chris is already at third base by this point. Realising that there is little time left to get Chris out, Tracey throws the ball to May. She catches it. She runs to Chris as fast as she could trying to tag him. However, Chris was going too fast, and he collided with May by accident. The two end up on the ground with Chris on top of May. "Urg," Chris groans. "Sorry May, you alright?"
"I think so," she says. "Oh and Chris."
"Yeah." She places her mitt on Chris' chest with the ball still in the mitt.
"You're out."
"You little sneak." Chris says chuckling.
"You two okay?" Tracey says walking over to the two. Chris stands up and helps May get on her feet.
"We're fine," May says smiling. "Got Chris out though, who's next at bat?"
An Hour Later
After playing baseball for a while, the four trainers return to the Pokemon Center and claim a room for the next couple of days. The Pokemon have been taken care of, the Pokemon are battle ready and they put the pokeballs in their pockets. "Well, I'm gonna go to the beach to take a walk along the shore, anyone wanna come with?" May asks.
"I'll come with you," Chris says.
"I have to stock up on supplies," Max says. "I'm a little low on Pokemon food."
"I'll go with you Max," Tracey says. "I need some new supply too."
"Alright everyone, meet back here in a couple of hours."
"Got it," everyone says.
Several minutes later
Chris and May have made it to the shore and the two are walking along the coast. May has her shoes off and she is holding them by two of her right hand fingers. She has her shoes off so she can feel the water that rolls up on the shore and feel the the wet sand underneath her. Chris walks beside her having his thumbs in his pockets enjoying her company. "Isn't the beach lovely?" May asks.
"I love the beach, but my buddy Sonic begs to differ," Chris says.
"How so? Does he hate the beach?"
"That and the water in general. He can't swim. Actually, he did swim at one point, but that was to save another friend of mine's life."
"What happened to the friend?"
"Basicly, she started drowning and Sonic had to be her knight in shining armor."
"He must care about her."
"Probably. He only shows that he cares for her when she is in danger."
"That's a little odd." Chris just shrugs. As they continue to walk, a slight breeze forms. The breeze blows their hair slightly. "The breeze feels nice doesn't it?" Chris feels the nice ocean breeze hit his body.
"It's a very nice breeze." The two face the ocean to feel the gentle force of the ocean breeze. The two inhale the sea air and let out an exhale. "You know, being born as a city boy I do not have time to be one with nature as often as I want to. I only had a handful of times to really enjoy the outdoors."
"Well, that's the purpose of these journeys, to enjoy and be one with nature." There is a pause for a minute, then the two continue their walk. They enjoy the company of each other for while, until they hear something. The two look to where they noise is from. It is a group of beach goers with a boombox playing music and the group of beachgoers are dancing to the music. And Chris recognizes the tune.
"Hey, I know this song," Chris says.
"You do?" May asks.
"Yeah. It's Footloose by Kenny Loggins."
"That's right. Wait." May pulls out her iPod from her pocket with her left hand, unlocks it and goes to the music icon. The icon opens and she taps on the artist tab. "Are there any artists that you recognise?" Chris grabs her iPod and scrolls through the list and he recognizes almost every artist on her artist list.
"Yeah. Adele, Bon Jovi, Daryl Hall & John Oates, Elton Jon...Eminem...Jay-Z….Kendrick Lamar?"
"What?"
"It nothing, but it is just that you don't seem like you are the kind of person that is into Jay-Z or Kendrick Lamar or stuff like that."
"Well that's just my taste," May says grabbing her iPod and putting it back into her pocket in a teasing like style.
"I wonder how the artists on my planet are also here on this planet?"
"Coincidence maybe."
Meanwhile
Max and Tracey are at the market in the Pokemon food section. The two are just browsing the various sorts of Pokemon food. Max picks up a can and reads the label. "I think this should be good, what do you think?" Max asks giving the can to Tracey. Tracey reads the can and examines the label.
"I think this would be great. Grab a couple of those," Tracey says. Max grabs two more cans of Pokemon food and puts the cans in a grocery basket he is holding.
"Tracey, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"Well, May and Chris have been hanging around eachother a lot lately. And this morning, I found the two in the stream holding eachother. I have teased May about this, but I am starting to wonder if Chris and May are becoming a thing. What do you think?" Tracey thinks about this for a moment.
"You are right on that they have been hanging out with each other a lot during the past few days. But that doesn't mean that they are becoming an item. Then again, May was smiling when Chris accidentally got on top of May. And you said they were holding eachother? How so?"
"Chris had his arms around May's waist and May had her arms around his neck and the two were padding noses."
"I take it back, it sounds like they may be becoming an item."
Me: Well, hope you guys enjoyed the chapter.
Demon: Make sure to review.
