Prompt in this chapter: What goes up must come down

Chapter 12

"He was trying to eat before..." Bill answered thoughtful, "Do you think because Harry is a werewolf he will need more meet in his diet?"

"If I remember rightly during a raid in a muggle house I once did I met a young werewolf mother with a young baby who was slightly older than Harry," Arthur said as he tried his best to remember what the mother told him, "When we were taking her somewhere where she could be safe her baby woke up and started crying but much to my shock she did not ask for a bottle of meat but she asked for a bottle of puréed meat in a bottle with a bit of water mixed in with it. When I asked about milk she told me that werewolf babies have a mixture of milk and meat, as they are weaned they go on to other foods but the puréed meat drink is kept as part of their diet until they are around eight years old. Afterwards it just sorts of fades out and it becomes sort of a treat for both older werewolf children and adults."

"Amazing, you know so much dad!" Charlie praised, "Do you have any more information for us? Can you recommend any books?"

"If you would like I can always send a letter to her asking if she would be willing to explain a few things to you. I have stayed in contact with her over the years and we have become good friends, if I am right her son should be just a few months older than Harry...if he had not been deaged."

"That would be great dad through we don't want to bother her," Bill said with a thankful look on his face, "Do you think-"

"What goes up must come down," Ginny suddenly said cutting her brother and parents off.

"Ginny what are you on about?" Bill asked only for his question to be answered as Harry let out a loud series of insane giggles, wondering just what his new son was up to Bill turned his attention back to Harry only to melt at the sight and from the soft awww's behind him so did the rest of the family.

Harry was attempting to throw his teddy bear up and down in the air through due to his shaky motor skills it was more like dropping the bear on the floor and picking it up again. Charlie made a mental note to see about getting Harry a ball.

"If I remember right James used to pretend to throw Harry up in the air and catch him through James never let go of Harry once," Molly said as she smiled at the memory, "It seems that Harry has some of his memories from when he was a young child still and he decided to copy James."

"That's so cute!" Ginny squealed as she watched her new 'nephew' happily play with his teddy.

"All babies are most of the time, through when they start teething, pulling your hair and crying you realise they are really pure evil in disguise," Bill said with a chuckle, "I remember a time when Charlie and I helped mum and dad out with Ron who was teething only for Ron to decide that there was nothing better than chewing on our hair."

Shaking his head at his family's words Charlie made his way over to Harry and scooped up the happy baby only for a large smile to appear on his face when Harry gave him a large toothless smile in greeting before deciding to suck on his teddy bear's ear.

"As much as I enjoy this little trip down memory lane I think Harry would prefer it if we got some food inside of him," Charlie said and as if to voice his agreement Harry let out a very loud high pitch squeal, "See?"

"I know that Harry has some juice that he put together the other day in the pantry that he put under a few charms," Ron said speaking up, "He would not tell me what was in the juice through...do you think that..."

"It could be Ron, thank you for telling us," Bill said with a thankful nod before turning and walking towards the pantry.

Leaving his family to coo over his new adorable son Bill opened the pantry door and easily spotted several small bottles all lined up in a row at the back of the pantry hidden away. Not wanting to keep Harry waiting any longer for his meal Bill grabbed the bottles and closed the pantry door. Turning around and walking to the table a frown appeared on Bill's face when he noticed the stares on his family members faces.

"I guess Harry had a few hidden secrets," Ron said finally as he eyed the bottles of pureed meat and water, "I always thought that Harry really like tomato juice but this explains a lot and makes sense."

"How will Harry eat?" Ginny asked as a thoughtful expression crossed her face, "I think that Harry is too young to be drinking from a glass vial like those."

"Oh My! I almost forgot!" Molly cried out surprise causing everyone's attention to be drawn to her.

Ignoring the confused stares she was getting Molly quickly moved forwards and open the box of baby items before rummaging around inside the box. Everyone else stared in confusion as they watched Molly seemingly look for something while muttering things to herself through Harry was quiet content to sit in Charlie's arms sucking on his teddy bear's ear.

"Ah ha!" Molly cried out after several minutes of searching through the box as she pulled out a miniature box with a brand new bottle in it, "This was brought for Ginny but before we could open it she decided that she wanted to join her brothers in eating 'big people' food. So we kept it just in case we ever needed it."

"Thanks mum," Bill said as he placed the bottles down on the table while Molly pulled out her wand and returned the bottle to its proper size, "At least we have half of this sorted, now we just have to get Harry to eat...errr...well drink his meal."

"I do not think that is going to be a problem Bill," Charlie said as he carefully eyed Harry who had his eyes glued onto Molly who now had the bottle out of the box and casting a few cleaning and cleansing charms on it.

Chuckling Bill nodded his head and watched as Harry opened and closed his toothless mouth making a strange sound while keeping his eyes glued to Molly as she undid the lid of a bottle.

'They make a cute sight' Bill thought with a soft smile as he took in Charlie holding Harry along with Charlie's well toned body 'Charlie...I hope I do not let him down. I still can't believe that we really are adopting Harry together and starting a new life together. It is almost like my fantasy where Charlie and I-no, bad Bill, bad perverted Bill.'

Shaking his head clear of dirty thoughts Bill watched as his mother handed Charlie the filled bottle as Harry's bright intelligent emerald green eyes stayed glued to the bottle. It seemed that Harry was not only ready to feed but knew what was in the bottle.

"It seems like someone is hungry," Charlie cooed softly as he held the bottle gently at Harry's lips, he did not have to wait long as Harry latched onto the bottle's plastic nipple and began sucking like crazy, "Woh, he is! Slow down Harry, the bottle is not going anywhere."

"It's strange seeing Harry so excited about his food," Ginny suddenly said getting various mutters and sounds of agreement, "Normally he doesn't eat a lot."

"Well with Bill and I that will change, we will do our best to make sure Harry becomes a healthy happy boy, right Bill?" Charlie said as he turned to look at his brother only to find it hard to not stare at Bill's well toned and muscular body.

"Right Char," Bill answered, totally oblivious to what he was doing to Charlie, "It looks like Harry needed that."

In response Harry let out a happy gurgle sound before drifting off to sleep in the safety and warmth of Charlie's arms. A soft collective awww echoed through the kitchen as the Weasley's watched.

"It is these sorts of times that you will soon learn to treasure," Arthur said with a fond look on his face only to look up in surprise as Errol flew into the kitchen only to crash into the wall opposite the open window.

"It seems that some things never change," Molly said with a sigh before walking over to Errol and picking him up off of the floor.
