Well, Train Crossroads Station, Central Control Point

The BLUs held a pretty good grasp on the central control point, putting up a solid defense of the area as well as their own base. Unfortunately, the REDs had made a fortress of their base. It was ultimately a standstill, neither team moving forward to take the points. At one point, both teams considered going through the waterways, as had been done in the pasts, but remembered the warning given by their Freak aids and Miss Pauling to stay out of the water. The hissing that came any time a mercenary came near the water didn't help either. The BLUs gathered up near the point, watching Demoman lace the walkway with explosives, to discuss their plan while Sniper scanned for targets and Engineer constructed teleporters.

"Alright, here's the situation," Scout said, having just returned from reconnaissance. "Their Heavy is constantly patrolling the hallways near the point, the point itself is guarded by a Level-3 Sentry perched on the balcony. Their Sniper's constantly moving on the rooftops, armed with that silenced rifle of his."

"Hitman's Heatmaker," Sniper said, looking out the window. "It's called a Hitman's Heatmaker."

"Yeah, sure, whatever." Scout deadpanned, waving off his Australian ally. "Look, the point is that the front doors are heavily guarded, leaving the other point to be equally as guarded by the others."

"Then how do we get in?" Soldier said, fixing the grenade belt across his chest.

"Aside from rushing zhem," Spy said, taking a puff from his cigarette. "Ze only ozzer way into zheir base is through the sewer systems."

"Not a snowball's chance in hell, Spy." Engineer interjected. "There are Freaks in the waters, Polite Spy told us that." Spy raised an eyebrow in doubt. Unlike the others, he didn't completely trust their new Freak Accomplice. The masked Frenchman walked to Engineer's workplace and placed a fine shoe on Engineer's blueprints.

"How can you be so sure zat he wasn't lying?" Spy interrogated. "He is a Spy Freak, after all. He could just be a backstabbing snake."

"Like you?" Scout insulted. The rest of the team replied with a series of 'ooooohs', while Spy on scowled at the young upstart before returning to his debate on the plan.

"But still, we can't be so sure zat zere are any Freaks in the waters." Spy continued. "For all we know, it could just be a ploy to keep us out of the REDs base." Spy jumped off the platform, landing near the entrance to the RED sewers. Worried for his friend's sake, Sniper leaped down, trying to talk sense into him.

"Look, we all know you don't trust Polite Spy," Sniper said, his voice ringing with concerned honesty. "And, to be frank, the bloke sort of creeps me out. Even still, we don't know if the sewers are safe. Freaks may or may not be in the waters, but we can't take a chance." Spy stood by the doorway for a moment, considering his friend's words. Being that the two were the only actual assassins on the team, whilst their comrades were just mercenaries, the two always felt closer as friends. The masked Frenchman turned about, meeting Sniper eye to eye.

"I understand the risks," Spy said. "If I didn't, I would never have been hired by BLU. I'll swim into the waters, check for Freaks, and report back."

"And if there are Freaks and you get killed?"

"Then I'll be revived at the Respawner, give a report, and we'll decide our income of attack." Spy held out his gloved hand, signaling his request for trust. "Do you understand?" Sniper hesitated for a moment, worrying for the safety of Spy. Ultimately, there would be no changing of the Frenchman's mind. He took his colleague's hand in a firm grip and shook it. "Thank you, Lawrence." And on that note, Spy slid a pair of orange lensed goggles across his eyes, took a deep breath of air, and jumped into the open water gate, vanishing into the waters. Now all the BLUs had to do was wait.

The waters were always murky in Well, usually from the pollution and the occasional blood being mixed into the streams. Luckily, years from working on this area had taught Spy to not let the water bother him. He scanned the dirtied waters, keeping an eye out for any REDs, Freaks, or any movement in general. After circling the moat around the center complex, Spy decided to move towards the REDs base.

If they believed that Freaks were in the waters too, then the area will be unoccupied. Spy thought, as he swam into one of the conjoining sewer tunnels. Upon entering, Spy entered a large half-flooded tunnel, much like a pipe. At the far end was a turn off that led straight into the enemy base. BLU had a similar pipe that led into their own base, a flaw on both Mann brothers' part to build bases completely identical. Carefully stepping through the waters, Spy narrowly stepped closer towards his goal. Just as he stepped midway, he felt something large brush against his leg. At first, he assumed it to be a dismembered limb from a recent shootout, but looking down, Spy saw a large shadow moving in the water. The shadow moved a few feet in front of Spy, slowly getting darker as if rising higher.

Finally, in a large splash, a new Freak rose from the water, spraying water all over Spy's currently drenched suit. It was a RED Medic, but with an unnaturally large head, pale skin, and bloodshot eyes. It appeared to be swimming atop the waters, treading lightly like a Water Strider. What really puzzled Spy was the fact that the Medic Freak was just… floating there, giving him an angry scowl. After a few minutes of silence, the Freak raised a gloved hand, with lips curled in a snarl.

"Get out of my sewer!" The Freak commanded. Spy thought for a moment, trying to remember if he read something about a sewer dwelling Medic Freak. He tried to figure out the answer, but it failed to come to him. Eventually, the Medic was getting tired of all this waiting. He lifted his head back and took in a deep breath. It was at that moment, that Spy realized what Freak this was, but only had enough time to semi-curse.

"Oh, fa…" Was all he said before the Freak screamed. The Medic Freak unleashed an ear-bleeding scream, and from his mouth shot a cone of several blue circles. Once the sound hit Spy's own ears, the sound was so intense on his brain that it caused his whole head to explode, turning his neck into a bloody ketchup bottle. The Freak snarled at the corpse, and then swam back underwater, glad that he had no intruders.

On the outside, the RED Sniper was constantly watching for enemy movement. What surprise he had when he saw a BLU body float out of the sewers, with an exploded head. He reached to his walkie-talkie and radioed in with the rest of the base.

"Oi, mates," RED Sniper said. "There's definitely something in the water that ain't human."

"Understood, Sniper." RED Soldier responded over the speaker. "We keep to the original of staying out of the water, but maybe we can use that to our advantage."

"Alright," RED Sniper said. "Wait for my signal, and then bring full assault." Clicking his walkie-talkie off, RED Sniper took up a position outside the primary building on the roof, holding a jar of Jarate and a bow, waiting to announce the time to strike.

Sniper had waited in the BLU Spawn room, wondering on the condition of Spy. His worst fears were confirmed when Spy appeared in the room, his face frozen in shock and fear. Sniper slung an arm around his friend, and sat him down on a bench, trying to wake him from his psychosis. Eventually, Sniper reached into Spy's coat pocket and pulled out his cigarette case and lighter, sticking a cigarette in the frightened Frenchman's mouth and lighting it. In little than a moment, Spy took a puff of smoke, and finally returned to normal.

"Thank you, my friend." Spy thanked.

"I take it there was a Freak in the waters?" Sniper asked, although he already knew the answer. Spy frowned, looking outside the doors.

"Unfortunately, yes." He solemnly said. "A Medic Freak, dwelling in the sewers."

"A Sewer Medic?" Sniper asked, remembering such a description in the file they got from Magic Mann's prank. Spy gave a grave nod before blowing a puff of smoke.

"It was a territorial Freak, swimming in the sewers like a possessive shark." Spy said. "All it probably wanted was for me to leave. It just told me 'get out of my sewer', and then blew my head off with a scream. All we need to do is stay out of the water and we'll be fine."

"Told you so." Sniper gave a chuckle, the two walking out steadily back to base central. "And like the little assistant said, they're getting someone to collect the Freak. I wonder what monstrosity is going to be sending."

Administrator's Observation Room

"What do you MEAN 'we can't find Heavydile'?!" The Administrator roared (although it sounded more like a squawk) into her intercom, yelling at the unfortunate guard who just got burning hot coffee splashed in his face.

"Like the reports from the Eye in the Sky said," The guard explained, flinching in pain from the burns. "They've combed Insanity, USA, the Strange Swamps, even the Odd Ocean, and there is no sign of Heavydile or even the Heavygator."

"There's no containment breach in the areas!" She screamed. "And there's no way to lose track of a Freak that has the mentality of a crocodile and a bloody trail the size of the Mississippi River!"

"Well, we did, ma'am." The guard said, right before a ceramic coffee mug smashed his head and knocked him unconscious. The Administrator growled, refocusing her attention to two monitors, one tune to the Sewer Medic's den, and the other to the swamps of Freak Containment. Having gotten word of a Sewer Medic being located in Well, the Administrator thought to just introduce another aquatic predator Freak to kill the sonic-screaming Medic. Unfortunately, the only known contender, Heavydile, had gone missing. In another attempt to find the Freak, the Administrator opened communication with the Eye in the Sky. One of the screens changed, showing the red suited Agent, Cinder, monitoring several different equipment.

"Hello there, Administrator." Cinder lazily greeted. "What can I do for you in the Eye?"

"I'm sure you know damn well." The Administrator snarled. "I need an update on the location of the Heavydile." Cinder rolled his eyes behind his yellow sunglasses, before rotating his chair to face the camera.

"Look, ma'am." Cinder explained. "Aquatic and animal Freaks aren't my forte. That would be Agent Splash's. And besides, I don't think that it's any big deal about Heavydile being with Mr. Hale."

"WHAT?!" The Administrator roared. Cinder realized what he just said, and it almost appeared that his fiery hair looked put out.

"I should not have said that." He mumbled to himself, reaching off screen. "I should not have said that." The video screen went to static, as the Administrator sat in her chair, clutching a broken cigarette between her fingers and her eye twitching. Slowly, she stood up, casually walked over to her a desk, and stood there. She slowly rose her face to the ceiling, and with all her lungs could let her, she shouted.

"Saxton HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALE!"

Mann Co. Head Office, Saxton Hale's Trophy Room

He felt it. Saxton Hale sat still for a moment, taking a break from what he was doing, wondering what caused that surge of ungodly power. His slim, blue suited assistant, Bidwell, tilted his head towards his boss, curious as to his silence.

"Mr. Hale, sir?" Bidwell asked. "Is something wrong?"

"I don't know." Saxton said, his voice unusually calm and quiet. "But I felt a disturbance. Like an ungodly evil power was just released in one burst of anger. Probably that old crow, the Administrator."

"How can you tell?" Bidwell asked.

"My chest hair and Australian senses told me." Saxton simply stated. Now that the whole anger power burst was out of the way, the C.E.O. of Mann Co. returned to his current situation: putting Heavydile in a headlock. Nothing out of the ordinary here at Mann Co.

Freak-lopedia

Sewer Medic

Sewer Medics are a type of Medic Freak, created by Youtuber gb7zone7. The Sewer Medic is a territorial water-based Freak, hiding out in various sewers and waterways to claim as home, attacking anyone and anything that so much as sets foot within. He is characterized by his unusually large head, and the fact he climbs on any surface. He has a supersonic scream that can either be used to knock back enemies or explode body parts. This attack can be reversed into a powerful vacuum, able to suck smaller objects into its path. There is a theory that since Sewer Medic spends so much time in his sewer, he becomes weaker, although this can be attributed to his intolerance to light or necessity to be near a body of water. There are at least two Sewer Medics, one per team, each holding their own sewer.
