Chapter 11: The Special Pursuit Deck Returns! Regain The Bonds With A Friend!

It's a posh night in Neo Domino. Shoppers are roaming the sidewalks, a night club with a singer is bustling away.

A pair of men in nondescript suits and sunglasses peek out from behind a corner. "Our surveillance target is currently moving towards the Daimon Area."

Another agent is sitting parked in a car, as Yusei walks by on the sidewalk. "Confirmed."

Another agent, hiding behind a corner somewhere. "Also confirmed. I'll continue to tail him."

Yusei keeps walking down the sidewalk, oblivious that he's being followed.

Flashback to when Takasu was running Yusei's examination back at the detention center. Takasu had a hold of Yusei by his hair. "Had enough already? A citizen of Satellite isn't worthy of a D-Wheel or a deck." Takasu says. He releases Yusei's hair. "Your D-Wheel and deck are both property of the Public Maintenance Department. It seems the Director has an interest in your belongings. They're being thoroughly inspected in the security vault." Says Takasu. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. Yusei soon comes to a stop on the sidewalk and looks up at the tall building with the KC logo on top of it.

A short time later, this part of Neo Domino is nearly as derelict as the Satellite. Bums are snoozing on sidewalks and in doorways. There's a solitary gutter that drips in the gloom.

Two of the agents peek out from an alleyway.

Yusei stops in front of the only doorway on the street with a lantern lit in front, but it's still pretty much a hole in the wall.

Flashback to when Himuro spoke with Yusei before he left the detention center and gave him the card Giant Ushi Oni. "Yusei, take this card. At a store downtown named Bootleg, there's a man named Saiga. If you show him this, he'll help you." Himuro says. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. Yusei moves forward and heads inside.

The interior is a lantern-lit tavern with a few guys at the tables, most marked, smoking on hookah's. Yusei walks over and sits down at the bar, the bartender has a mark on each cheek. "Heh? What is it, kid? Got separated from you mom? This isn't the lost children center. Hurry up and go home."

A couple guys at a table snicker a bit. "He says he's lost."

"I'd like some milk." Says Yusei. "Are you making fun of me, kid?" He pulls Yusei up by his shirt, roughly, and then lets him go as soon as a few of the suited agents enter. Yusei pulls out Himuro's card and places it on the bar. "Eh!" "He told me about this place." Yusei says. The bartender pours a glass of milk and puts it on top of Himuro's card, as if it were a coaster. "It's on the house." "Huh?" Asks Yusei. "Hm." The bartender nods to where the suits have grabbed a table in the back, slightly. Yusei glances over his shoulder. "Saiga is one of these people?" Yusei thinks to himself.

A couple of the agents notice Yusei glancing their direction and look away, hastily.

"Kid…" "Hm?" Yusei asks. "After you finish drinking, go home quietly." Yusei nods, drinks down his milk in one gulp and sets the glass down next to Giant Ushi Oni, picking up the card. Yusei stands up and walks out.

The suits close to follow, conspicuously.

Yusei soon walks out of Bootleg and is wandering onto another street, when he hears a D-Wheel engine scream, and turns around.

After a moment, a guy on a D-Wheel appears on a rooftop and jumps off, soaring over Yusei's head, about an inch above it, and landing beside him.

The two agents who have been following Yusei run down the alleyway toward him.

The guy on the D-Wheel talks into a mic installed into his helmet. "Hey, Saki. I'm kinda in a situation down here. You think you can help me out down here so I can get this guy outta here." "I'm already here. Somehow, I knew you would need my help." They hear another D-Wheel engine scream and both turn around.

A different D-Wheel turns the corner and makes an arc around both of them. It is a woman this time though.

The guy rides an arc around Yusei and before he can think, he grabs his wrist and slings him over the back of the D-Wheel before zooming away, leaving the agents in the dust.

"On no!" "Track the marker's signal!" One of the agents opens up a GPS screen. The blip on his little tracking screen disappears. "No way!" "What's going on?" "For now, inform the director!" The other agent grabs his cell phone and dials.

During the whole conversation, someone else was able to sneak away, as well.

Yusei's still sideways on the D-Wheel, has been given a helmet and is holding his head up and away from the road, while a whitish beam is trained on his mark. "This is enough to block the marker's signal." "You're…" Says Yusei. "I'm Saiga."

A while later. A pack of helicopters have been dispersed into the city, shining searchlights into every back alley.

Saiga and Yusei are inside a respectable-looking, if plain, computer lab/studio somewhere, the D-Wheel parked in the corner and Yusei at the window.

The only light is from two computer screens, one on which Saiga's typing. Saiga has an unkempt appearance, with short brown hair and brown eyes, sporting stubble. He wears a sleeveless, green jacket, with a ripped design along the shoulders, over a long-sleeved, white shirt. He also wears brown pants, with two belts, one of which has a deckbox attached.

"Who are you?" Yusei asks.

"I don't know either, but I can acquire almost anything. I guess, you can say that I'm a jack-of-all-trades. You don't have to worry about my fee. Before Himuro went into the detention center, he had me hold on to his money. So, what can I do for you?" Asks Saiga.

"I'm going to sneak into the security vault building." Yusei says.

"What?" Asks Saiga.

"I want you to help me." Yusei says.

"Yeah…" Says Saiga.

"So, who was that girl who helped us out before?" Yusei asks.

"Oh, I met her a couple years back, she was really banged up when I found her." Says Saiga. "Shouldn't she have been back by now?" Yusei asks.

"She comes and goes, but she hasn't really been here a whole lot. Honestly, this was the first time in over a year since I've seen her. But, I think she's here. If you want to meet her then by all means." Says Saiga.

"Wait, she's already here?" Yusei asks.

"Yeah, she's probably in the garage fixin' up her D-Wheel. I'll call her up for ya if you'd like. Hey, Saki!" Says Saiga.

A door suddenly opens from behind Yusei and closes shut.

When Yusei turns to look back over his shoulder, the shadows of the night have her hidden. "You called for me, Saiga?"

"Yeah, I think he wanted to talk to you about something." Saiga says.

"You have my attention, Yusei."

"How do you know my name?" Asks Yusei.

"Because, you and I have already met more than once."

"Wait, your voice. Is that you, Sakiko?" Yusei asks.

"Well, yes and no. You know me by more than just Sakiko Kuro. I think, it is time you knew the truth, Yusei. Sakiko Kuro is my alias, so to speak. However, you know me by another name." She then walks out of the shadows, slowly, showing a different outfit than what she usually wears when she's Sakiko Kuro. Her lower body consists of thigh-high, black, heeled boots, with silver-colored edging around the top, the left boot has a belt wrapped twice around her thigh, black, fitted pants, and a red belt, which has a red deckbox attached at her left hip. Her upper body consists of a long, black tailcoat, with red lining, over a sleeveless, black, formfitting top, with rectangular and diamond-shaped cutouts around the neckline. On both hands, she seems to wear black gloves, which are held in place by her middle fingers and extend underneath the sleeves of her coat, and her nails are slightly sharp, but feminine wise, and her long, wavy hair is partially done up into twin tails, while the rest falls completely loose down the back. And for once, the shadows uncover her face without the mask, so now her true face is revealed to Yusei, including the red mark on her face that she didn't have two years ago.

Yusei's eyes widen at the realization.

"Hello, brother."

"I don't believe it. It's been you the whole time, Sakura?" Asks Yusei.

"Yes." Sakura says.

All Yusei can think to do is run over to her and hug her like they used to. Yusei does, embracing Sakura in his arms, feeling as if his mission has finally been fulfilled. "I don't get how I didn't see it before. I mean, your eyes should've been a dead giveaway. But, you've been with me ever since I first arrived in the City." Says Yusei. "I know it has only been two years since it happened. However, it feels like almost a lifetime." Sakura says. "I know what you mean. I see that you found a different taste in clothing style. I mean, you always wore stuff that tended to show off your femininity before. And it seems you still do." Says Yusei. Sakura looks down at her attire. "Yes, well, working for the director does have its benefits from time to time. I mean, you have seen the bodysuit I wear as Sakiko Kuro. And of course, when you tend to go from a place like the Satellite to living here in Neo Domino. Well, your taste in style tends to change along with it. Jack's a perfect example of that. I see you kept with your style, though." Sakura says. "Hey, if the look still works, don't change it, right?" Asks Yusei. "That is true. However, for me, the old look wasn't working anymore. So, after a few months of working for Godwin and six months before I turned eighteen, I changed up my style to a more mature one than my old style was." Sakura says. "Well, I actually like this new style of yours. It looks good on you, sis. It's completely different from the old style that I'm used to seeing you wear, but this style definitely works for you. It suits you, and just like the style you wore back in the Satellite, it shows off your femininity. I'm kinda glad that side of you hasn't changed." Says Yusei. "I'm glad you approve of my new style, Yusei." Sakura says. "Your new style, along with your much longer hair length. You kept your hairstyle, though. They both suit you…" Says Yusei. His focus then turns to the red mark under Sakura's left eye and reaches to touch her face, slightly tracing at the design. "How did you…?" Yusei asks. He stops as soon as he notices Sakura's reaction to him touching the mark and takes his hand away, considering that she's still sensitive of the subject. Yusei then takes a hold of one of Sakura's hands and places it on his face, allowing her to feel his criminal mark. Sakura traces at it, gingerly. "I have seen these markings on so many men. However, I never thought I would see the day when one would be etched into your skin." Says Sakura. She takes her hand away from Yusei's face. "Wait, if you've been using Sakiko Kuro as an alias. Does that mean Onyx is...?" Yusei asks. Sakura has a small smile.

Then, walking out from the shadows, comes a large, long-haired black dog, which is significantly bigger than his counterpart. This dog has the size and structure of an Irish Wolfhound as opposed to the Labrador Retriever phase he takes form as when he's Onyx. His most distinctive feature is his tail, which is unnaturally longer than his entire body, that it could easily loop around himself and form a circle with his body, and it forms almost similarly to wisps of hair or mist rather than fur, and he has red eyes, further enhancing his supernatural appearance. He walks up to stand at Sakura's side, which he reaches up to her ribcage, gazing up at Yusei. Yusei remembers this dog well, there's no other dog in the world that looks like something that came straight out of a supernatural film. "Grim?" Asks Yusei. Grim approaches him and jumps up on him, easily knocking him over to the ground. "Yep, it's you." Yusei says. Grim moves himself off of him. Yusei then sits up and pets Grim on the head. "Never thought I'd be so happy to be trampled on by you again, boy. Thanks for keeping an eye on her for me." Says Yusei. Grim walks away from him and over to Sakura, sitting down at her side. Sakura pets Grim, scratching him behind one of his ears. Yusei then stands back up. "So, is Onyx a form of alias for Grim then?" Yusei asks. "You could say that, yes. You very well know that Grim is no ordinary dog. So, I had Grim change his appearance to resemble a more normal-looking dog, as well as a more common breed of dog. I also got him acquainted with the name Onyx." Says Sakura.

Sometime later. The helicopters are now scanning a distant corner of the City.

A janitor-type uniform and a red duffel bag are sitting on the table, beside an iridescent ID card that has a picture of Yusei and reads 'Taro Daimon'. Saiga starts humming to himself, aimlessly.

As Saiga types, Yusei wanders the room and sees on top of the bookcase, a picture of a younger Saiga, holding up a trophy with another guy, happily, who in his other hand is holding a card, the picture frame is sitting on top of a card. Yusei picks up the picture and inspects it closer. "Machina Sniper…" Yusei says. He then looks at the card, it's the same card as the one in the photo, but it's torn and scorched.

"That was easy. I found it. It seems your precious D-Wheel is on the top floor of the vault." Says Saiga.

At this point, Yusei is looking at the picture, the carefree, happy young man in it has grown far sadder and more cynical to become the man of the present.

"I'll search for the password for the lock on the door. I should be able to do it." Saiga says.

"You… You used to be a duelist?" Asks Yusei.

Saiga turns and stands up. "Hm? Hey! Stop touching other people's stuff!" Saiga says.

Yusei shows the picture. "A D-Wheeler specializing in tag duels." Says Yusei.

"Nah, I wasn't officially a pro. I was a broken duelist in an exhibition league. That's all I was." Saiga says. He sits back down. "Stop messing with that and come over here!" Says Saiga.

Yusei places the picture frame and the card beneath it back, carefully, and joins him. "How's it going?" Yusei asks. "I acquired the password." Says Saiga. "Impressive." Yusei says. "I'm willing to bet that you're going to end up back at the detention center." Says Saiga. "I have something I need to do. That's all." Yusei says. Saiga rolls over to the other computer. "That doesn't matter to me." Says Saiga.

Outside, Ushio is hiding in a side-alley, staring at the window through which Saiga's computer screens are glowing. "Hmm. You probably think you've defeated me, but that's not going to happen, you garbage from Satellite." Ushio thinks to himself.

Flashback. At Security Headquarters… "I'll go after him! No matter what anyone says, I'll chase him out of Neo Domino City! Starting today, I'm working exclusively for the investigation department." Ushio says. "Ushio!"

Ushio was already running for the exit. "I received authorization! I'll chase you everywhere!" Says Ushio. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "Hm, hm, heheheheheheheheh!" Ushio laughs, a little to crazily.

Morning. Yusei has fallen asleep leaning back in a plastic-and-metal chair. "Here's everything you'll need. The rest depends on your luck." Saiga says. Yusei stands up and reaches for the strap of the bag, but he pulls it just out of his reach. "Answer me. Why are you going when you know that you'll be end up being captured?" Asks Saiga. "Because the bond with my friends is there. All I'm doing is going to get it back." Yusei says. "Friends? Hah! You're doing this for something that lame?" Asks Saiga. Yusei turns around and looks at the picture, he knows what it's like to have a close friend. "Yeah, I understand. I used to have a friend, too. But, the only thing he left behind was this emotionless reality of deep despair and living death." Saiga says. He looks back at Yusei. "A bond with your friends? That's just an illusion. Before long, all you'll do is think of yourself, so you'll hurt and use others so that you can survive. Just like me." Says Saiga.

Flashback. A younger Saiga, who's wearing an orange neckerchief, is riding a D-Wheel, with a younger version of his partner in a sidecar, over the side of a track and skids down a hill, yelling all the way. The fixture that connects the bike to the sidecar crumbles and frays, causing the two to separate entirely. His partner looks up at Saiga, reaching out a hand. "Saiga!" "Yuji!" Saiga says. He looks ahead, they're headed for the side of a huge metal building. In the flashback, Saiga swerves away.

Yuji watches the only person who could have helped him ride away, numb with shock, and he goes flying straight into the huge metal building, and an explosion ensues on impact.

Saiga skids and hits the ground, hard, thrown free of the D-Wheel. Saiga lifts his head and can only watch. "Yuji… Yuji! Yuji!" Says Saiga. The flashback ends.

Back to the present. "The lucky one survived. However, I never rode a D-Wheel again." Saiga says. He flinches and looks away. "It's the same as being dead." Says Saiga. He walks over and picks up the card under the picture. "This card is the remnant of our bond. After the accident, he only sent me this card. Ha. He was insinuating that I had forsaken him. Risk your life for a friend? In the end, that's impossible to do! In that case, it's better not to make friends in the first place." Saiga says.

Yusei picks up the bag and heads for the door.

Saiga watches Yusei as he goes.

Yusei leaves the room and walks down a hallway.

Saiga's still staring at the card he picked up. "How lame." Saiga thinks to himself. Outside the window, a D-Wheel engine whines. "Huh?" Asks Saiga. He goes to the window.

Below. Yusei can be seen walking out the front door and Ushio's wheel is peeking out of an alleyway.

Ushio emerges from the alley, slowly, and follows the oblivious Yusei at a distance.

As Yusei's still walking, Sakura's metallic black D-Wheel pulls up next to him. This time, unlike when she rides her D-Wheel as Sakiko Kuro, she has an enclosed black helmet on, which resembles the face of a raven and has a red visor, further enhancing her inhuman appearance. Yusei stops and walks to the side of Sakura's runner. "Hey, Yusei." Sakura says. "Sakura." Says Yusei. "Would you like a ride?" Sakura asks. "You sure?" Asks Yusei. "Of course, hop on." Sakura says. She hands Yusei a spare helmet, he accepts it from her. Yusei then climbs on behind Sakura and places the helmet on, not knowing what to hold onto. "It's alright, Yusei. Your my brother. You can hold onto me if you want." Says Sakura. Yusei wraps his arms around her waist, in a firm, but loose hold. Yusei then notices Grim lying down on his specially built-in platform, which has been adjusted to accommodate his size. The harness, which has also been adjusted for his size, is already fastened around him and the chain is already hooked up to his collar, securing Grim safely to both the platform and the D-Wheel. "You had a platform built-in for Grim?" Yusei asks. "Specially designed to accommodate his size, both as himself and when he changes into Onyx. And it is a lot safer than having him run up alongside the D-Wheel." Says Sakura. "Yeah, I can see that." Yusei says. "Now, hang on." Says Sakura. She then revs the runner and takes off, actually doing a wheelie.

Sunset. Most of the lights are on inside the security building. A familiar figure with a maintenance uniform on and a cap pulled down over his face, carrying a red duffel bag, emerges from a doorway and enters the flow of foot traffic, walking in the opposite direction from most of the crowd, who are leaving to go home.

As night falls and the workers leave for the day, the lights in the windows go out one by one, the shutters close and the place locks down.

Yusei peeks out of hiding in a closet somewhere, once more in his usual clothes and still carrying the duffel bag. A security droid rolls past through the hallway. Yusei climbs a huge staircase, silently. He then walks along a silent, empty hallway and finally reaches the large, shuttered door. Yusei scans the card and then punches in a code on a blank 3x3 square keypad. Numerically, 5176 then cut away to the door opening. Yusei walks into a massive multi-level warehouse, full of large wooden crates. He follows a GPS of some kind to a blip in one of the boxes. Yusei looks at the box he's now standing next to, sideways.

When Yusei reaches it, Sakura is leaning against it, with Grim sitting down beside her. "Sakura, how did you manage to get in here?" Yusei asks. "Saiga has his ways and I have mine, as simple as that." Says Sakura. "Reunited at last." Yusei thinks to himself. He bends over to put the GPS back in his bag and is suddenly pinned down by spotlights.

"Hahahaha! I'm surprised. I knew you'd try something, but garbage is garbage. I can't believe you tried to sneak into the security vault. So scary." Ushio says.

"This belongs to me and my friends." Says Yusei.

"You're wrong. Everything held here belongs to Neo Domino City. Let me also add, that the lives of Satellite garbage belong to this city also!" Ushio says.

Yusei growls under his breath.

"I'll send you back to the detention center again." Says Ushio.

"I don't think so." Sakura says.

"Huh? And who are you?" Asks Ushio.

"Oh, forgive me. Perhaps, this shall enlighten you." Sakura says. She holds up the mask that she wears as Sakiko Kuro.

The other officers that arrived with Ushio all gasp, in both realization and shock. "What? What does that mask have to do with anything?" Ushio asks.

"Well, that just goes without saying how simple-minded you are, Ushio." Says Sakura.

"Wait, how do you know my name?" Ushio asks.

Sakura walks up to stand next to Yusei. "Not very bright, is he?" Asks Sakura. "No, not at all." Yusei says.

"What? What's the big deal about that mask?" Asks Ushio. "Um, Ushio. That mask belongs to the Princess of Darkness, she's just as famous as the King himself." "Yeah, she's been undefeated ever since her dueling career started." "She also works under Director Godwin." "Huh? Seriously?" Ushio asks.

"I see not all security are uneducated. Now that you have been enlightened to who I am and who I'm associated with, I must ask that you overlook this whole ordeal and let him be on his way." Says Sakura.

"No way, not happening!" Ushio says.

Grim stands up and snarls, baring his teeth.

"That thing gives me the creeps." Says Ushio.

"I tried giving you fair warning. Don't come crying to me after we are finished here." Sakura says.

Ushio's flunkies jump down from the ledge on which he is standing.

Yusei and Sakura spring up and land on the rim of the box with his D-Wheel in it.

Yusei then jumps in out of sight.

While Sakura jumps in the back of the box where she parked her D-Wheel.

Grim comes running around the box and gets on his specially built platform, the chain then hooks up to his collar, securing him to the D-Wheel, and the harness soon fastens around him, securing him to the platform.

Ushio jumps down. "That's what I call a rat in a trap! Give up, you garbage!" Says Ushio.

He hears two motors rev.

"Huh?" Ushio asks. The flunkies gasp.

In the darkness of the box, Yusei's familiar screen glows as it boots up. Yusei toggles the hand-grip, pushes the pedal and bashes through the side of the box, scattering debris, leaping over Ushio's head, neatly, and making a hairpin turn on landing to turn back the way he came, swerving to the side and bolts out the doorway through which he entered.

Sakura follows after Yusei and does much the same thing.

When the dust clears, the flunkies are all cowering. "Stop!" "After him!" They start to run after Yusei.

Ushio gets to his feet. "You punk!" Says Ushio.

The vault door is closing, Yusei and Sakura manage to dart through the door and zoom out into the hallway, narrowly.

They go no more than 200 feet before Yusei gets rammed from the side and scrapes against the wall, Ushio has already caught up. "You fool! Did you really think you could escape from me? Hurry up and give up!" Ushio says. Yusei responds by twisting the hand-grip and zooming ahead, kicking up sparks from the floor.

Yusei manages to catch up to Sakura and races alongside her.

"C'mon, you can at least participate in our conversation! If you can't, then why don't you talk to me with your cards, like a duelist?" Asks Ushio.

"What?" Yusei asks.

"I forcibly activate a Field Spell! Set on 'Speed World'!" Says Ushio. He presses a button on the screen and the image of 'Speed World' appears. "Duel mode on. Autopilot standby." The computer says. The image of 'Speed World' appears on Yusei's screen and the dashboard duel disk unfolds. "Duel mode on. Autopilot standby." Says the computer. "The bond with my friends…" Yusei thinks to himself. "I accept this duel." Yusei says.

Just then, the same thing happens to Sakura's D-Wheel and now she's forced to duel against Ushio, as well. "I guess this is a two-on-one Riding Duel now, Yusei. Think your feeling up to dueling alongside each other once again?" Asks Sakura.

"You know it." Yusei says.

"Grim, stay down." Says Sakura. Grim barks and lies down on the platform, encircling his unnaturally long tail around himself.

"Duel!" Yusei, Sakura and Ushio say. All three start with 4000 life points each.

"I go first. I draw. I summon Quillbolt Hedgehog in defense position!" Says Yusei.

Quillbolt Hedgehog has 800 defense points and is a Level 2 monster.

A 3-D blueprint in green appears on Yusei's D-Wheel screen in a window on top of the duel. "If I could just escape through that opening…" Yusei thinks to himself.

"It is my move, then. I draw. I summon Wham-Shell in defense position!" Sakura says.

Wham-Shell has 1000 defense points and is a Level 2 monster.

"I then set two cards. I end my turn." Says Sakura.

"It's my turn. I draw!" Ushio says.

The duelists' speed counters each increase to 1.

"From my hand, I summon Search Striker in attack position!" Says Ushio.

Search Striker has 1600 attack points and is a Level 4 monster.

"Search Striker! Crush that Satellite punk's lame monster! Cleaver Strike!" Ushio says.

"Hah?!" Asks Yusei.

It blasts a hole right through Quillbolt.

And Yusei flinches against the light from the blast. "Hunnngh!"

"I set one card and end my turn!" Ushio says.

"It's my turn." Says Yusei. He draws.

And all three sets of speed counters rise to 2.

"From my hand, I summon the Tuner Monster Junk Synchron." Yusei says.

Junk Synchron has 1300 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.

"When Junk Synchron is successfully summoned, I can Special Summon a Level two-or-below monster from my graveyard in defense position." Says Yusei.

"What?" Ushio asks.

"Resurrect, Quillbolt Hedgehog." Says Yusei.

Quillbolt Hedgehog has 800 defense points and is a Level 2 monster.

"Level three Junk Synchron tunes Level two Quillbolt Hedgehog." Yusei says.

Junk Synchron pulls the cord on the engine on his back and lights up, then breaks into his three stars. These swirl together and form three rings of green light.

"You're Synchro Summoning right now? How arrogant of you when all you are is garbage." Says Ushio. Despite his words, he looks scared.

Hedgehog floats between the rings and dissolves into its two component stars, creating a line straight through the corridor formed by the aligning rings, which blazes to a horizontal column of light, then… "The stars come together to call forth a new power! Become the path that lights the way! Synchro Summon! Come, Junk Warrior!" Yusei says.

Junk Warrior has 2300 attack points and is a Level 5 monster.

"It is my turn." Says Sakura. She draws. "From my hand, I summon the Tuner Monster Hex." Sakura says.

Hex has 1600 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.

"I shall now tune my Level three Hex with my Level two Wham-Shell." Says Sakura.

Wham-Shell swirls his powerful mace and lights up, then turns into his three stars, which circulate together and form into three rings of green light.

Hex floats through the rings and dissolves into her two component stars, creating a line straight through the corridor formed by the aligning rings, which blazes to a horizontal column of light, then…

"The energy of the stars shine as one to bring forth a new power! Become the light that emerges from the darkness! Synchro Summon! Ninjini!" Sakura says.

Ninjini has 2600 attack points and is a Level 5 monster.

"I won't let you do that! I activate my trap 'Discord Counter'! This card negates your Synchro Summon and returns the Synchro Material Monsters to the field in defense position! In other words, Junk Warrior separates into Quillbolt Hedgehog and Junk Synchron!" Says Ushio.

Under Junk Warrior's feet, the floor lights up and zaps him. He explodes and Junk Synchron and Quillbolt are back.

"Furthermore, due to the effect of 'Discord Counter', you are not allowed to summon a monster until the End Phase of your next turn!" Ushio says.

Yusei sighs and looks back at the schematic screen. "My priority is to escape through that opening." Says Yusei. He revs and speeds ahead. "All right." Yusei says.

"Hmhmhmhmhm... I won't let you." Says Ushio.

As Yusei races for the opening, it begins to close. Yusei goes faster, but not fast enough. Yusei ends up turning away from crashing into the closed door, sharply.

Ushio laughs.

At a control panel somewhere. "Close A-five and A-seven barrier walls! Next is the east sector." Doors begin to shut all around and Yusei makes turn after sharp turn to avoid crashing.

"I know how garbage thinks." Ushio says.

"Ahhh!" Says Yusei, groaning. Another door ahead closes, he banks, sharply.

"Dance! Spin! Flee! I'll drive you deeper into a corner! I'll teach you that you're nothing but garbage!" Ushio says.

"Aaagh...!" Yusei growls under his breath.

"It's my turn! I draw!" Says Ushio.

And all three duelists' speed increase to 3.

"From my hand, I summon Pursuit Chaser in attack position." Ushio says.

Pursuit Chaser has 1400 attack points and is a Level 3 monster.

"Then, Search Striker and Pursuit Chaser attack your two Satellite scrap iron monsters! Fire!" Says Ushio.

Quillbolt Hedgehog and Junk Synchron are both destroyed.

"Due to Pursuit Chaser's monster effect, when it destroys a monster in defense position, you take five-hundred points of damage!" Ushio says.

Yusei gets zapped. "Uggghhh...!" His life points are shocked down to 3500.

"Then, I set one card in my hand and end my turn." Trudge says.

"My turn." Says Yusei. He draws.

All three duelists' speed increase to 4.

"I set one card. I end my turn." Yusei says.

"Ha! Just like I thought. Due to my 'Discord Counter', you can't summon a monster this turn! All the roads have been blocked!" Says Ushio.

Yusei speeds for another closing door, banks around the corner, U's around another corner and into another hallway. Yusei skids hard to avoid another closed door and turns left.

"Heheheheheh. You no longer have an escape route! The only thing ahead of you is a dead end! Give up! All you can do is surrender!" Ushio says.

They zoom into the end of the hallway, and what looks like an elevator door. "Hm..." Says Yusei.

A little speaker flashes on his and Sakura's visors. "Keep going, you two!" Saiga says, via-radio.

"You're…" Says Yusei.

"Saiga." Sakura says.

"Just keep going forward!" Says Saiga, via-radio.

"But…" Yusei says.

"Go!" Says Saiga, yelling, via-radio.

Yusei and Sakura exchange looks and decide to do what he told them. They then floor it toward the wall.

"No way! What's that punk doing?" Ushio asks.

Ramming speed! "Haaaaaaaah!" Says Yusei, yelling.

He and Sakura are speeding straight for the elevator door wall.
