A/N: Yeah, so I have been bored this beginning of summer. Typing mixed with Minecraft (because I'm addicted to it at the moment) means I'm rarely off my computer during the day. Oh well. Living the life before I have to head off to college! And with my friend bugging me to continue writing... well, what better way to spend time than to torture my characters some more? *smiles evilly* hehehehehehehe... hehe... I question myself sometimes. Oh well! And if I can find a way to upload it from my phone, the format will be different, sorry!

Chapter 12

"You're an idiot."

"I heard you the first ten times."

"And you'll hear it a hundred more!" Hizumi yelled. "What were you thinking?"

"I don't know! I had to do something!" Ayumu defended. He now hung by his hands like Hizumi, hanging from a chain that was attached to the ceiling so he could face the Devil. Not only that, but both boys had been knocked out and awoke in a strange place. No doubt it was so the other Blade Children didn't stick their noses in Katsu's fun. Hizumi glanced at the small red dot on a camera in the corner, knowing that Katsu was probably watching them right now.

"Maybe you should have thought out a decent plan!" Hizumi yelled, turning his focus back on Ayumu.

"I'm sorry," Ayumu suddenly sighed, defeated.

Hizumi groaned. "Don't get all sad. It's also my fault for getting caught."

Ayumu looked around warily. "Where is Katsu anyway?"

"Probably resting. No doubt she just wants us to freak out."

Ayumu stared at the ground, obviously thinking of very unpleasant things. And Hizumi couldn't even go over and comfort him. "Hey, it's going to be alright," Hizumi said, trying to believe in his own words. "We can get out of this."

"How?" Ayumu asked, looking suddenly tired. "Anyway you look at this situation, it's pretty hopeless."

"What happened to your defiance attitude? If anyone can make Katsu slip up it would be you," Hizumi encouraged.

Ayumu shook his head. "There's no way."

"I need a little bit more optimism from you," Hizumi sighed.

The only door that lead to the small room opened up and Katsu waltzed in, looking very happy with herself. "Ayumu is right, Hizumi. You might as well give up hope."

"Sorry, but that's all I got and I'm hanging onto it," Hizumi said, forcing a smile.

Katsu smiled and walked over to Ayumu. "Well, you see, Ayumu here knows what can happen in a few days. Don't you?" Katsu continued to smile as she grabbed Ayumu's face in her hand, making him flinch. Katsu laughed. "I mean, even if by some grace of God the Blade Children find this place, which I severely doubt it, then I will still have plenty of time to play some games."

Katsu released Ayumu and looked over at Hizumi. "And do you know what I'm thinking?"

Hizumi shook his head slowly.

"One of the best ways to hurt the one I hate, is to hurt the one that he likes," Katsu said, flicking a blade that was suddenly in her hand and creating a thin gash across Hizumi's abdomen. Hizumi yelped more from surprise than pain.

"Hizumi!" Ayumu yelled, struggling against the chains uselessly.

Katsu laughed. "See? Now I have to decide. Which one to physically hurt and which one to psychologically hurt. It's a tough decision."

"It would make sense to torture me," Hizumi quickly said. "I mean, you had close to a week with Ayumu already. You didn't even have a full day with me."

"True true," Katsu nodded.

Ayumu instantly knew what Hizumi was trying to do. "But I'm the one you really hate," Ayumu said, not wanting Hizumi to get put through what he had already been through. "I mean, isn't it better to torture the main person you focus your hatred on?"

"Another good point," Katsu said smiling. She looked back and forth between the two, loving to hear them bicker on who would be tortured.

"But you would probably like to do something new with Ayumu. He already expects physical pain," Hizumi added.

"But psychologically hurt? Come on, you're more of a hands on person."

"Ayumu, shut up!" Hizumi shouted.

"You think I want to see you get tortured because of me?" Ayumu asked. "I've been through this before, I'll be okay."

"That's not the point," Hizumi said. "You just said it yourself. You've been through this before. Let me take this burden from you."

"If you want to take a burden from me, let me be the one who is tortured," Ayumu puffed.

"That's never going to happen!" Hizumi bellowed.

Ayumu opened his mouth to argue another point when he stopped himself. They were getting nowhere with Katsu just enjoying the little argument between the two of them.

Ayumu smiled and looked over at Katsu. "You know, Kiyotaka told me about Yaiba's death."

Katsu's eyes narrowed at Ayumu. "Is that so?" Katsu asked coldly.

Ayumu nodded. "And from what I heard, Yaiba was pretty pathetic."

"Ayumu," Hizumi warned.

"I mean, I guess in the end he was on his knees, begging for his life in front of my brother. But of course, Yaiba was no match for Kiyotaka."

Katsu glared hard at Ayumu, gripping the knife she held tightly in her hand. "You win." Katsu growled, jabbing the knife into Ayumu's thigh with as much force as she could muster. Ayumu screamed in pain and squeezed his eyes shut to try to block out the pain.

"Ayumu!" Hizumi yelled, straining against the shackles that bound him.

Katsu took a deep breath in order to regain her composure and yanked the knife out of Ayumu's leg.

"Katsu! He was obviously lying! He hasn't even talked with Kiyotaka!" Hizumi stated.

"I don't care. He made me angry. Don't worry, Hizumi. You'll get your turn," Katsu smiled, lightly dragging the now blood soaked blade across Hizumi's face.

"Please, just stop hurting Ayumu. He hasn't fully recovered from the last time!" Hizumi defended.

"That's the best part!" Katsu giggled. "It's fun to agitate old wounds, don't you think, Ayumu?" Katsu said, pressing hard on Ayumu's injured hand. He bit his lip hard enough to draw blood as he tried to not scream. He didn't want Hizumi to worry more than he already was.

Ayumu felt as the hole in his hand ripped back open and blood pool out, soaking the white bandage.

Hizumi clenched his fists and pulled against the shackles even more.

"Ooo Hizumi, your glares make me feel all tingly inside," Katsu laughed. "How do you feel, seeing the man you love in pain?" Katsu asked, dragging the blade across his cheek. "Maybe I should scar this pretty face of his."

"Stop. Hurting. Him." Hizumi glared.

Katsu smirked. "I've never seen you so angry. Now, how angry can you get?" Katsu walked over and lit a fire in a small indent in the stone wall.

"What are you doing?" Hizumi asked with narrowing eyes.

Katsu said nothing as she twisted a metal pole in the burning flames.

"Katsu, don't." Hizumi said in a threatening tone.

"You are not in any position to be demanding things from me," Katsu glared. She quickly regained her smile. "And honestly, the more you get angry the more I want to make Ayumu scream."

When the tip of the metal was bright red, Katsu took it out of the fire and walked over to Ayumu.

"Tell me, Hizumi, how mad does this make you?" Katsu asked. She slowly pressed the burning hot metal onto Ayumu's chest. He couldn't help but let out a painful scream as the pole seemed to melt into his flesh. She took her time dragging the pole down his abdomen. Ayumu clenched his fists in pain, causing more pain to ebb in his injured hand. No matter how much he didn't want to scream out, Ayumu couldn't keep it in as his whole torso felt like it was on fire.

"What? Not going to yell and curse at me?" Katsu asked Hizumi with a humorous smile.

Ayumu's breath became more labored as his body could barely handle the pain that it sustained over the last couple of days.

"Where's the pleads? The begging for me to stop hurting him?" Katsu laughed, placing the hot pole against Ayumu's jaw and making him yelp out once again.

Hizumi continued his menacing glare. "I said to stop." Hizumi growled.

"Make me. Oh that's right, you can't," Katsu said with another laugh.

Ayumu watched at Katsu's smile fell from her face. He looked over at Hizumi, whose eyes were now thin slits with barely a hint of any emotion lingering in them.

"H-Hizumi?" Ayumu managed to gasp out.

"T-those eyes," Katsu said, sounding scared. "They are just like..." Katsu stammered, dropping the pole and backing away as if Hizumi could get at her.

Hizumi's glare never faltered as he pulled down once more on the shackles. Ayumu watched amazed as the chains bent and then broke as if they were made of thin plastic.

"H-Hizumi, let's talk about this," Katsu stuttered, backing away until her back hit the wall.

Ayumu watched as Hizumi slowly made his way over to Katsu, without so much as looking at Ayumu. Ayumu couldn't look away from Hizumi's eyes. They were so cold. Not like his usual sparkling eyes that were always happy.

These eyes didn't even look human.
