I'M BACK! I know I haven't uploaded in FOREVER but you know, life gets in the way. I could write another story about how stressful my life is at the moment but y'all probably don't want to hear it. Anyways, now that you all know that I'm still alive and haven't gone all MIA on you... On with the story
The stars lean down to kiss you
And I lie awake and miss you
Pour me a heavy dose of atmosphere
'Cause I'll doze off safe and soundly
But I'll miss your arms around me
I'd send a postcard to you, dear
'Cause I wish you were here

"So, what do we do then?" Seth asked
"Well, we have to do something, sitting here eating sausages on the beach isn't going to save my family!" I shouted anger seeping through my voice.
Jake, always the rational one (note sarcasm) began to discuss options, we could fight, we could run or we could wait it out. To me, fighting seemed like the only rational option, luckily for me, it appeared that everyone else had the same train of though.
"I say we fight, we get back my family and then we finish off the Volturi" I piped up. Echoes of "fight" and "yes" ricocheted around the fire.
"Well, I guess it's settled then" Jakes smirked, I couldn't help but notice a maniacal fierceness behind his blackened eyes. Perhaps that was what caused me to drag Jake by the arm towards the bedroom when we got home to the wolf manor later that night.
We fucked with an urgency that I had never experienced before, we didn't need toys or costumes for him to pump harder than I'd ever experienced. I was very tight and with Jake being so rough it kind of hurt, in a good way. His arms ran from my rear to my breasts tenderly massaging them. My back arched and I moaned as his lips pressed down on my tips and his tongue teased my nipples. I was so close to a ground shattering orgasm but Jake kept begging me to hold on. He hitched my leg up so he could go deeper and then I shot out of bed running towards the bathroom.
No sooner had I gotten there, I vomited into the toilet bowl. Jake was right beside me in an instant, holding my hair back with his hardness brushing against my back. His gentle hands massaged my bare back. My nausea ceased as soon as I'd vomited but it was still comforting to have Jake's warm hands caress me.
My eyes started to flitter shut and Jake picked me up and carried me back to bed and I fell asleep still cradled in his arm just like when I was a baby.
Images of all of my loved ones flashed before my eyes. They were peaceful happy. Until you looked closer, they hadn't yet realized the thick smoke in the background, or the approaching, unknown vampire that took a hold of their neck and ripped until the head detached.
I woke up in a hot sweat, swathed in sticky sheets. Jake was still asleep snoring and hadn't been woken by my nightmare. Every time I tried to close my eyes to be encapsulated by the peacefulness that sleep held, images of Alice and Esme, all of my family, being tortured and killed.
Finally, I managed to enter an unrestful slumber only to be woken up shortly after by Jake, rubbing my belly 'cooing' at it.
"Jake, what are you doing?" I questioned.
"Ness, I'm sure you're pregnant," he began, " Half vampires don't just vomit like that for no reason."
"You really think so Jake?" I whispered excitedly.
"Yes, and since Carlisle isn't here to confirm that, we are going to treat you as such. That is why I don't think you should come with us to seek out your family." He replied somberly.
"But I have to Jake, their MY family. Just because I'm pregnant doesn't make me disabled!"
"I never said that Ness, I'm just worried for the baby."
"Jake, if anything I'm more protected there than here. I will be surrounded by wolves, I will be wearing my armor and, if all goes to plan, we will have my family at our side when we take down the Volturi!"
Jake opened his mouth and then closed it soon after and scratched the back of his neck. It took him a long time until he finally re-opened it "Fine." He muttered out.
In the days, we practiced our fighting skills.
Evenings were now spent at La Push either crammed into Billy's little red house or at Sam and Emily's preparing our attack. All of the wolves minus the 3 most recently phased were coming with us.
A growing bump was emerging between my hips, and based on all of the reading I had done, it appeared that I was was 4 months pregnant which was very odd because the first time Jake and I had had sex was 3 months ago. We assumed that due to my vampire side, the pregnancy must be slightly accelerated but nothing to be concerned about.
Rachel, who battled constantly to try and conceive had managed to for the 5th time, she was further along than she had ever been before and things were good and bad for her. She just reached the 2nd trimester and was beginning to get hopeful, she wasn't sure if she would be able to hold the baby on for another 6 months and she was more scared than ever about loosing it.
It was our job to convince the boys to allow her to come with us. She wasn't sure if she would be able to function without Paul, I assumed she was worried about loosing the baby while he was gone and not being able to deal with that. Although she never said it to me directly, I placed my hand on her cheek and showed her what I was thinking and she weakly nodded.
That night I bought it up with Jake and he flat out refused. I had 10 days until we left and ten days to convince him that taking Rachel would be a good idea.
I went over to Rachel's house the next day to tell her about what had happened with Jake. Unfortunately I caught her at a bad time and she was getting ready to leave for work at the hospital. And then I realized, that was it!
"You're a doctor!" I screamed.
"Have been for the last few years Ness." She replied nonchalantly.
"No, I mean you're a DOCTOR. That's just what people need when they go fight. Maybe I can convince him to let you come so that you can give the wolves medical treatment if they need it!"
"Oh...OH! That's an amazing idea!" She exclaimed when she realized what I was implying, "I have to go to work but you try to convince Jake and I'll work on Paul, this might actually work Ness!" She smiled, kissed my cheek and gave me a hug so our swelling stomachs touched.
"See ya Rach." I called as we went our separate ways on her front porch.
"See you Ness!"
Jake and I rendezvous in my parent's meadow, he had bought along my armor and I had begun getting changed into it. I was very lucky that I wouldn't have to worry about the armor not fitting as my stomach grew because the belly never had any covering and the bottom piece was held together by a belt so I could adjust it as the baby grew. At this stage I had only undone the belt by one hole but I was sure there would be many more in the coming months. The only problem was, I was concerned that the baby was right in the firing line with absolutely no protection except a thin layer of my skin.
It was Jake who came up with a solution for this. We used the lining from the box that my suit had come in because it was the same material as the softer parts of my armor and attached it to the to half of the bodice and let it hang and flow around my torso. It wasn't perfect, but at least it was something to protect the baby.
Jake and I practiced my sword fighting skills with sticks because there was nothing Jake could use that could withstand my actual sword. We moved onto hand to hand combat and then speed and agility. By the end of it, both of us were totally exhausted so we decided to take a car to La Push instead of running.
Tonight the meeting was at Sam's house, we approached the door and were greeted by a very pregnant Emily. She greeted us and waddled her way through the other guests to sit Between Sam and Rachel on the loveseat. Once everyone had arrived I bought up the topic of Rachel coming with us. After a long and heated discussion, we decided that it would be best if she did come but stayed out of the way of the fight. The finer details would be determined when we found out where the fight would be.
I couldn't help but notice Rachel ditching me for Emily for the most part of the evening but I decided not to take it personally as they hadn't and wouldn't see each other for a while.
The next few days continued in the same fashion. Jake and I began to raid through the big house for any loose cash so that we could support all 18 of the wolves who were fighting with us plus Rach and myself. When I say "loose change" I use that word very...well... when you find 2 hundred dollar bills folded up behind a couch you know there is a LOT of money lying around. In cupboards we found thousands, in draws we found untouched credit cards and in the backpack my mum gave me from our last fight with the Volturi I found enough cash to keep a small country afloat for a year. By the end of the collection we could've bought a nice house for each of the pack members and then furnished it as well as given all of their kids a college fund...Not a bad idea now that I thought about it...
On the last night before we all left we had a bonfire on first beach. Seth and Embry both came up and greeted me with big hugs and a kiss on each cheek, I was surprised by this amount of affection from the both of them but thought nothing of it when they proceeded to muck around with me as usual for the rest of the night.
We had catered the whole ordeal but as usual, people bought more plates sweets and trays of food. The night rolled on and only by midnight had the party begun to wind down. Sombre farewells were said and hugs exchanged. People started to leave by about 1am but Jake and I stayed on the beach after everyone had gone. He had one hand on my lower abdomen and was softly stroking my growing bump. We made no effort to converse, we merely enjoyed the noise of the soft swirls of wind dancing across the tips of the breaking waves.
Minutes later he broke the silence "Sarah, I want to call her Sarah." I kissed his lips softly.
"That sounds perfect, and if it's a boy, William."
"You're amazing, you know that, right?" He said as a stray tear trickled down the side of his face catching the moonlight and splitting the light into a million different shards.
We had never openly spoken about his mother but I had gathered it was a very sensitive issue and left it alone. Now more than ever I understood the emotional trauma of loosing a parent and understood completely. Sarah and William were perfect names because they were a constant reminder of his Quilute heritage and most importantly Jake's parentage.
In response to his question I smiled at him, taking his hand and lead him back to the car.
A.N Hope you all enjoyed it, hopefully I'll be able to update more regularly but you know...Shit happens.
Stay safe kiddies xx
