A/N: This may be the last regular time update. I'm not getting much feed back from readers on whether they're still interested in this story anymore. Which makes my motivation slow, so if you want me to continue on my regular time frame. Which is every other Sunday please send some reviews.
Chapter 12
Her dreams were that of nightmares, red eyes glowing as they followed her. It was so dark she couldn't see her hands in front of her. Her legs hurt from running so fast and yet she felt she wasn't moving at all. Still like every horrible dream she still tried to get away. "No stay away from me, I don't want to die!" Kagome yelled out. Sadly the monster grabbed her and roughly threw her to the ground. Tears ran down her face as she begged to be left go. Shivers went through her body as she felt a clawed hand slide up her leg and soon into her panties. A voice spoke and Kagome started cry even harder.
The voice was cold with no emotion or mercy to be heard. Every hair on the back of Kagome's neck was now standing up. "Do not resist me woman, hell well greet you soon if you do." Kagome swallowed hard when her shirt was sliced open by his other clawed hand. "What a prize woman you are, these mountains have such beautiful peaks. I can't wait to nip these buds and suck the sweet juices from from flower. You'll see soon Kagome, only I can please you!" After his words she found herself being kissed on the lips hard as he thrusted a clawed finger deep into her entrance. After the harsh kiss Kagome tried move from the force of another kiss, but when she did her eyes saw his face.
Her voice echoed through the cave as she shot straight up from her sleeping spot. Sweat covered her face and her breathing was fast. A pair of arms carefully embraced her as she tried to calm herself. "Easy mate everything is okay I'm here, just take one breath at a time." Kagome nodded and left her body lean back against his chest. InuYasha knew the dream was intense, he wanted to wake her but feared scaring her even more, so he kept watch over her. Lightly his clawed hand slid through her dark raven hair, and soon she seemed to relax in his arms. "It must have been one hell of a nightmare woman. I wanted to wake you, but I feared scaring you even more. I'm so sorry, I hope you don't have that dream again. It...it really scared me see you so upset."
Kagome lightly smiled, true she hated InuYasha's demon side for killing all those poor women. And yet his hanyou side was like a completely different demon altogether. How could she not feel safe in his arms and love him? "I'm sorry for scaring you InuYasha, It was a horrible dream. I dreamt I was being chased, at first it was like when we first met. A red eyed demon was after me and wanted to...to..." Kagome found herself reliving the dream and pulled herself closer to him. She didn't need to say what was happening he knew, and like any lover would do. InuYasha embraced her even tighter.
"You don't have to give details mate, your emotions are telling me all I need to know." InuYasha told her, as he slowly started to rock her in his arms. It was his job to protect her, but how do you protect someone from a dream? "I am sorry for how our first encounter went. If I could I would make it that it never happened like it did." He felt Kagome give a small shiver at the mention of their first meeting. And under his breath InuYasha cursed himself for his demon's actions. He sighed heavily thinking about how terrified and helpless she looked as his demon played with her and claimed her as his mate. While deep inside he could do nothing to stop it, just like the girls from long ago. "I hate that side of me my dear Kagome, please believe me I wish that half would leave my body and never return." His eyes squeezed shut as he tried to hold back a tear.
Hearing the shakiness in his voice and then quiet, made her look up into his face. It was then she saw the tear and reached up wiping it away. "Don't cry InuYasha, we all have that one demon that lives inside us that we want to break away from. To be honest I hated you when you told me about how your demon killing all those girls." Reaching up she cupped his cheek and gave him a loving smile. "And now I see you, the real you. And I can tell you hated yourself for those actions even more then I do. I also realize who the true monster is now, it wasn't you who was attacking me in my nightmare. It was Hojo, and him as a demon was far worse then your demon."
InuYasha knew her words were true, but it didn't help him feel better. She was still upset over the dream, and he felt partly to blame. "Thank you Kagome, your words have helped me a little. I still want to erase my past, though I'm finding that if not done soon I may turn into him. After all if that guy comes after you again, I don't think my demon will stay quiet this time. I'm sorry I can't control my other side better, it's like being in the dark and not being able to stop what you see happening. Sounds stupid I know it's my body I should be able to have better control. That damn demon side that took so much from you. I just hope someday I can give it all back."
"Never InuYasha, never say that again!" This time her voice turned angry. "You did nothing, there's is no crime in loving someone. True you didn't exactly work up to letting me love you, but now I'm seeing the real you." Placing his clawed hand over hers' which still rested on his cheek. InuYasha gave her a little grin, it was just enough that Kagome knew he was grateful she was still with him. "Don't worry about giving anything back InuYasha, just focus on enjoying this happiness for now."
