Days past and Carole has been healing greatly. She would be ready to go home soon enough, but the only problem was the baby. He still wasn't breathing on his own and they all were getting really worried about that. The doctors were doing what they could to help that baby, but nothing. Still nothing.

Carole couldn't think of anything else, but the baby, and nobody could see him at least until he was off the breathing tube. She just wanted to see her new little baby boy, and hold him in her arms. She didn't even get to see him yet.

Ally and Sam had Cory and were with him most of the time, but even then, they were worried about Carole's son. She hasn't even had the chance to see him yet, none of them had and hopefully they would soon.

Ally went in the hall for some fresh air and walked down the hall for a few minutes. She then saw the doctor rushing over to a man, they just brought into the ER. Ally watched as they started attending to the older man, he looked young, probably in his thirties and was covered in blood; but not completely.

"What happened?" One doctor asked.

"Car collision. He ran into a truck on the freeway, he hit his head on the wheel and is losing a lot of blood in the accident. The truck driver called 9ll when he looked and saw the guy. Probably was drunk. We need to get him stable and then check his blood." Another doctor said. Ally sighed, she's seen and been through too many accidents in her life, losing someone special and the same thing almost happening again could do that to you.

The doctor worked as much as they could on the man and soon enough he was awake, once they finally stabilized him. Ally sighed, at least they were able to save this one, even if he was the one who hit the truck.

"He's stable." The doctor said and then the man looked to his side and got a glimpse of Ally. He kept staring at her.

"You." He said, looking and pointing at Ally. Ally turned around, wondering if someone was behind her, but he was talking about her.

"Me?" Ally questioned. She walked closer to the man. He nodded, but what did he want with Ally, she didn't even know him. How did he know her? Or did he know her?

"Do you know this man?" One doctor asked and Ally and she shook her head, this was confusing to all of them. Why was he interested in her if she didn't know him? Was he on drugs? That was the doctors next thought; it would explain a lot of things.

"I've seen you before." He said and Ally wondered what he meant by that? At college? Back in high school, not likely. Where? "You were on the. News." He said and then it made sense. After Finn died, reports talked to all of them, Ally was a mess during that. Surprisingly she was getting recognized by strangers.

"You did?" Ally asked and the man nodded.

"Yes. I am. James Burke. And. I am. So sorry." He said, trying his best to get all the words out, he was obviously having trouble breathing.

"Yeah. He was a great person, you should have met him." Ally said.

"It was. All my. Fault." He choked out and Ally arched her eyebrow.

"What do you mean?" Ally asked.

"He was in a grey car, I remember he was in front of me. I lost control and I- I. Next thing. I knew. I hit a man. And then I. Drove off." He said and Ally frowned and eyes widened. She felt both sadness and anger took over her.

"You? You were the driver?" Ally asked. "You're the one who hit him?" She hoped she was wrong and was just hearing things. But she wasn't, she was talking to the man responsible for Finn's death.

"IT WAS YOU?! Ally screamed and was about to walk further over to him, but Sam walked quickly over to her.

"Ally. Stop." Sam said, but she pushed him away.

"YOU HIT HIM AND JUST TOOK OFF?! YOU KILLED HIM! YOU KILLED MY BROTHER!" Ally screamed and cried as Sam held her back from basically killing the man. Tears were streaming down her face and Sam embraced her in his arms as she cried and the doctors took Ryan away.

Ally and Sam were back in the hospital room. Ally was now sitting in bed and Sam was standing in the corner, right over Cory, who was laying in one of the crib like beds the hospital beds had for new born babies. Ally was still in shock, Sam was too. Ally had been putting Finn's death on herself for over a year, she blamed herself and then she met the guy who actually is to blame for the whole accident.

Sam walked over to Ally's bed and stood on the side of her bed, he was right next to her and Cory. "Ally…" Sam said, trying to think of something to say. Ally still didn't say anything, she was still in horrible shock and probably was trying to hold back any and all emotions she had at the moment; Sam didn't know if it was because Cory was in the room or not.

"I just met the man that killed Finn." Ally said and then she turned to the side, so she could face Sam. "Why did you pull me away?"

"Because you probably about to kill the man." Sam said. He wasn't wrong, that man killed Finn, why should he live? Some people would see it that way.

"Trust me there is a billion different things I want to do to that guy. I mean, he killed my brother. He killed Finn and I have been putting his death on myself for years. You have no idea how much I want that man to feel the pain I have felt the past year. All the pain Carole, Burt, Kurt, Rachel, and all of us have felt because of him!" Ally said and she started to cry. "But I—I know I shouldn't and wouldn't do that. I can't follow my instincts of revenge. I mean, it wouldn't solve anything. And I know Finn would kill me if I did."

Sam wrapped his arms around her and she wiped her tears. "I guess Finn has some effect on you." Sam said and Ally rolled her eyes and smiled.

"I know he did." Ally said and looked down and saw Cory was awake. "Here. Hand me my baby." Ally said and Sam carefully picked up Cory and handed him off to Ally. She loved holding Cory in her arms, he was her son. But then remembered that Carole still couldn't hold her son in her arms. Finn was gone and the new one was in the ICU, still not breathing on his own. This was terrible.

Ally frowned and Sam knew something was up. "There's something else?" Sam asked and Ally nodded, Sam was good at that; being able to tell if something was bothering her. If it was one thing or another. "What is it?"

"It's Carole's baby. Have you heard anything?"

"No." Sam replied, shaking his head. Nobody heard anything about the little guy and it was hard. She was lucky they both survived the accident and yet, it looked like there was one that wasn't going to make it.

"I just—if she loses this baby. If he dies, I think that will be a little too much for Carole." Ally said and Sam understood what she meant and he knew she was right. "I mean, first she loses her first husband. Christopher, Finn's father. And then almost 20 years later, loses Finn. Her only son. The one they kept her and made her strong. And then to lose her second son, her new baby, the one she hasn't even seen yet, that might just be too much."

Ally knew it would be too much for Carole. She has already lost so much, losing her husband was enough and to lose both of her children. Both of her sons, how would anyone deal with that? They probably wouldn't.

Then they heard a knock on the door and both Ally and Sam turned to see Dr. Harris at the door. "Hello Ally, Sam. How are you two? And the baby?" He asked and both of them smiled.

"Cory's great. And we're okay." Ally said.

"I'm so sorry, I heard about your interaction in the hallway with Ryan Feir." He said and Ally knew that must have been the guy responsible for what happened to Finn. But of course he heard about it, who wouldn't? Especially since he was the one who worked on Finn, very closely.

"Yeah. Who is he, exactly?" Ally asked. "Sorry, it's none of by business."

"No, it's alright. You have a right to know. He is the cause of the hit and run, your brother was in." He said and Ally sighed. "He isn't a bad guy. He's 31 and he was brought in today because he hit a truck."

"Was he drunk?" Sam asked, flat out.

"We are not sure yet, we are going to take some blood and test him for drugs and alcohol soon." Dr. Harris replied.

"What about when he hit Finn? Was he drunk or high then? And why did he just take off? Why didn't he get out and call for help? Why did he just leave and wait for some random stranger to go check and then call 911?!" Ally asked, she had so many questions. How could someone do that?

"You would have to ask those questions yourself." The doctor told Ally. "Anyway, that's not what I came to talk to you two about." He said and both Ally and Sam were confused.

"If it is about us being here, we want to stay until Carole and the baby are ready to leave too." Ally said and Sam nodded in agreement.

"Well, I have good news." He said and they looked up with hope in their eyes about the baby. "The baby can now breathe on his own. He is improving, which is good." He said and they smiled at each other.

"Can I see him?" Ally asked and the doctor nodded.

"I'll stay with Cory. " Sam said as Ally handing him off to Sam. Ally got out of bed and followed Dr. Harris down to the ICU and brought her over to Carole's baby.

"Can anyone hold him yet?" Ally asked.

"Not until he gains more weight. All we can do is hope for the best. The good thing is that he can breathe on his own now." Dr. Harris said and then left Ally alone with the little boy. She smiled at him, his eyes weren't open, but she was sure they would look like Finn's eyes.

"Hey little buddy. Now, you're doing better, but you gotta gain weight. So you can be held. You mom wants to see you and hold you. Alright." Ally said to the baby.

The next day, Ally was woken up, by Sam shaking her awake. She opened her eyes and was really annoyed. She was really tired. "What?" Ally asked.

"Come on." Sam said and pulled Ally out of bed. She groaned as Sam dragged her down the hall, she was still half asleep and didn't know what was happening. Then they were in Carol's room and then Ally realized what was going on; once she saw the baby in Carole's arms. He was bigger and his eyes were open, they did look like Finn's. Well the baby looked like Finn for the most part.

"We thought you would like to meet your new baby brother?" Burt said and Ally walked closer and smiled. That was a beautiful baby.

"Did you guys choose a name?" Ally asked and the others nodded. They were curious to what they chose.

"Yes we did." Burt said.

"Well?" Kurt asked.

"We'd like you to meet. Zachary Finn Hudson" Carole said and they all smiled, that was a good name. Using Finn as the middle name was perfect, he looked like Finn and it was his brother, even if Finn was no longer with them. And Zachary was a good name. Zach was in great hands.
