Harry rode in front of the troops with Ron on one side and Draco and Neville on the other side. When he woke this morning to see Ginny sleeping next to him. He smiled. She looked beautiful laying there with a smile on her face. He had reached over and kissed her before he got out of bed. He went and got dressed. He looked at her one more time debating about waking her to tell her goodbye. He wanted to see her brown eyes one more time but he didn't. He went in his sitting room and went over to the desk and wrote her a note telling her what was going on. He wanted to put the words I love you on it but couldn't make himself do it.
He left the room and went down to the courtyard where he met the other three. He saw that they weren't happy about this. Ron was leaving Hermione here and what their future brought them. Neville looked one more at the castle. Draco sighed before he rode out. Harry got on Hedwig. They were going to war and leaving the women they loved here.
They rode to the borders where they set up camp. Harry had the biggest tent. In his tent was a table with six chairs around it. On the table were maps. There was a curtain that separated the front from the back. In the back was a bed for Harry and his clothes. The bed was big and two pillows on it with a blanket.
Harry sat at the table drinking some wine while waiting for the others they were making sure that they were settle in their tents. Harry looked at the maps, especially at one spot and that was the castle where he grew up at and where his wife was right now. He closed his eyes and thought about Ginny. He saw her beneath him and her hair covering their pillows. He wonder if Ginny was sleeping in his room now. It was been two days since he last saw her.
"Sir," The young boy who had popped his head. Harry looked over to him and nodded for him to continue. "Prince Ronald, Lord Longbottom, and Mr. Malfoy are here to see you," Harry nodded to let them in.
The flap of the tent moved out of the way and Ron, Neville, and Draco came in. Harry waved his hand to tell them to sit down. They all sat around the table. Harry waited until the boy was gone. He set his wine glass down. "How long do we have until Voldemort is that our door?"
Ron got up and pointed to one of the maps. "He is in Spinner's End the capitol city of Porotimnotes," The capitol city was two days away from where they were. Harry nodded. "Does he know where we are?"
"We don't know, sir. We haven't heard from our sources in a while." Draco said. Harry nodded. He didn't like that one bit.
"Can we contact Dumbledore or is it too risky?" Harry asked.
"You know that he contacts us," Neville said. Harry swore.
"I hate this. We are sitting ducks," Harry slammed his fist on the table, making the cups move but nothing came out.
"That doesn't mean we have to sit here waiting for him to attack us first." Ron smiled. "We can be ready for him," Harry looked at his brother-in-law.
"How?" Harry asked. Ron told him what they could do. They have half the men ready to fight, making sure that someone comes to get the other half. Ron pointed out where they could keep the men and Voldemort wouldn't know. Harry smiled. He liked this plan. "Let's do that," He turned to Draco. "Have half the men ready for tomorrow," Draco nodded. "That is the plan now, goodnight gentlemen." Draco and Neville got up and left the tent. Ron stayed with Harry. Harry picked up his wine. He was ready for bed. He turned to go to bed when he saw Ron still here. "What?" Harry asked.
Ron smiled. "Are you okay?" He asked. "Or do you miss your wife?"
Harry sighed. "I want to get this war over and go back to her. I only had one taste of her but I want more." Harry ran his hand through his hair. "I want to be in the castle with her and work on getting my heir." Ron nodded.
"Do you love your wife?" Ron asked. Harry took a seat on one of the chairs that was still out. Ron took one across from him.
"I do," Harry said softly. "I hate that I only had one night with her before we had to come. I wish I had more time with her. What if I die and leave her without a child?" Harry looked at Ron.
"Harry everything is going to be okay." Ron whispered.
"I know. I want to kill this bastard and get this all done with." Harry set the wine glass away from him. He should stop drinking it. He needed his wits about him. "I want a life with her," Ron smiled.
"I know but first we have to get this done then we can go home to our women and they can love us for the rest of our days." Ron said. "Are you okay now?"
"Yeah," Harry said. He watched Ron leave the tent. He got up and went to his bed. He lied his head down and closed his eyes. He pictured Ginny hold their baby with love in her eyes. He went to sleep with this in his mind.
"Prince Harry," Harry woke with someone yelling. He looked it was the same boy who has been helping him out. There was scared look on his face.
"What?" Harry asked as he threw on his pants. He glanced around to see that the sun was barely up. It was has been two days since they made their plans. Ron was out with the men right now.
"It is time," the boy said. Harry nodded. He got ready.
"Have my horse saddle," Harry said. The boy nodded and ran from the tent. Harry put on his boots before running out. He saw the camp in chaos. Men were getting on their horses. He saw Neville and Draco directing men to where they needed to go. The boy brought Hedwig for Harry. He jumped in the saddle and went over to Neville and Draco. "How is everything?"
"Good," Neville waved to a man. They were ready. They headed out to the battle.
When Harry saw it. He saw men on both sides fall. Ron was yelling orders well fighting off a couple of men. Harry saw Oliver doing the same. Harry reached for his sword.
"Charge," He pointed his sword to the fight. Men rode and ran pass him. He went after his men. Harry fought man after man until he could feel the blood on him. They brought Voldemort's men back. They were weak. They gain ground. The sun was setting when Voldemort's men were called back.
He saw how tired his men were. They started getting the dead men. Harry looked around to see where Ron, Draco, and Neville were. They were all alive. Harry let out a sigh of relief. Hedwig was tired so he jumped off of her and led her to the others who were gathering. They were all dirty with blood, sweat, and, dirt. Ron smiled at him when he saw him. He slapped him on the back.
"Good, you made it. Ginny would have killed me if you didn't make it."
Harry smiled back at him. "Yeah and Hermione would have done the same thing if you didn't make it." They both laughed. The other men looked at them and shook their heads. "Let's go and be glad we made it another day." They head back to camp. Harry was glad when he put his head down on his pillows.
Harry was pacing his tent. They barely got any ground with Voldemort. It has been a month and he was tired. He had to think of a way to get him and end this war. He missed home and Ginny. Every time he closed his eyes all he saw was Ginny and they riding across the fields. Her laughter filling his ears. He wanted to hold her again. He knew it was hard on his men that it was this long from their families.
"Sir," The boy Danny said. Harry asked him of his name after the first fight. Harry nodded. "You have a visitor," He said. He gave the boy a look. "He won't say his name but he said that you know him."
"Show him in," Harry waved his hand. Danny nodded. The tent flap opened again and Dumbledore walked in. Harry stared at him. It has been awhile since he saw him. He wonder if something happen to him. Harry bowed. "Dumbledore," Harry waved to a chair for him to sit. Harry took a seat across from him. "What brings you here?"
"I need to talk to you," Danny came back with some food for them. They waited until he left.
"About what?" Harry asked.
"About the history of this island." Dumbledore said.
"How is that going to help me defeat Voldemort?" Harry asked.
"It holds the key for this war." Dumbledore said. Harry sighed. He didn't know what Dumbledore was talking about but he knew that he had to let him talk.
"Alright," Harry said. He sat back in his chair and waited for Dumbledore to say something.
"This island use to be one kingdom before it became eight different ones. There was a King named Edmond and he had three sons. Antioch, Cadmus, and Ignotus. King Edmond divided the kingdom into three, giving each of his sons a gift of magic."
"Magic," Harry laughed. Dumbledore gave him a look. Harry shut his mouth. "Sorry continue."
Dumbledore gave him a look before he continue. "He gave Antioch a staff to help him rule, he gave Cadmus a stone to help rule and he gave his youngest son Ignotus a cloak to help him rule. The sons loved their gifts but Antioch wanted his share of the kingdom and killed his father. The country was spilt into three.
At first it was good. The brothers rules well then the worse happen and Antioch die at the hand of his oldest and only son. The son took the staff and decide to reunite the island. Before he could start he was killed by assassins hired by his cousins. The staff was lost after that."
"What happen to the other two?" Harry asked. He didn't understand how he was in to the story.
Dumbledore smiled. "I'm getting there. As the line of Antioch die out the other two continued. One of the lines did well with marriage and fighting against the others. The other not so well where it was only had a corner because people kept taking their land. Both lines are here today on this island.
"Who are they?" Harry asked. He tried to think about what two countries were the oldest.
"They are fighting each other," Dumbledore smiled. Harry had to think how many kingdoms were fighting. Voldemort had five kingdoms fighting with him and Harry only had the Weasley kingdom helping him.
"Who?" Harry still didn't know.
"One is sitting in a castle and one is sitting across from me." Dumbledore said.
"Are you saying that I'm a distant relation to one of the lines and Voldemort is the other one?" Dumbledore nodded. "Which one am I a part of?"
"Look at your coat of arms." Dumbledore said. Harry looked up at his coat of arms that was above Dumbledore. It was a stag in front of a triangle. He looked at it so many times and never understood the triangle that behind the stag.
"It is the cloak," Harry said. Dumbledore nodded. "Ignotus is my relation." Dumbledore nodded again. Harry ran his hand through his hair.
"Your family went with the times while Voldemort family didn't. Do you know the story of your coat of arms?"
Harry nodded. "Yeah, one of my great-grandfather only had a son and the other only had a daughter. They were friends and they didn't want anything to happen to their kingdoms so they arranged a marriage between their children. The children were in love and brought the two countries together renaming it Darearum. We have been ruling ever since." Dumbledore nodded. "Are you saying that I am going to need all three to beat him?"
"No, this fight will end the other line while the other survives. But when all three are close it will show the true of all three."
"Either me or Voldemort," Harry said. Dumbledore nodded.
"I'm going to put my money on you." Harry gave Dumbledore a look. "You know the story about Voldemort don't you."
"That he killed his brother the true heir of Tresylinn because he thought that he had taken the throne from him when he was born. Voldemort was a bastard off the king and he thought that he wasn't going to have a son but his queen gave him one." Dumbledore nodded. "So I am the true heir of all three. I can reunite this island as one if I so wanted."
"Are you?" Dumbledore asked.
"No," Harry got up and started to pace. "The king had it right to divide the island into three so no one had all the power but greed and power got in the way and now how many kingdoms do we have on this land. Eight." Dumbledore smiled. Harry was sounding like a true king that one day will take the throne after his father is gone. "I need the cloak but it is with my father and he is the only one how knows where it is beside me. He can't just send it over and I can't leave." Dumbledore nodded.
"I think I know a way of getting it here." Dumbledore said. Harry stopped pacing and looked at the old king.
"How?" Harry asked. There was a twinkle in Dumbledore's eye.
"Leave it to me," Was all Dumbledore said. Harry had to trust him.
"If you say so," Dumbledore nodded. Dumbledore got up. "Good bye Dumbledore." Harry watched the old king leave his tent. Harry had to put his trust in Dumbledore. Harry went to bed with thoughts of Ginny.
