I DON'T OWN NARUTO

"I'm sure your overreacting." Gaara voiced, sitting outside of Temari's door.

"No, I want my clothes back," Sakura whined from the other side, "I can't wear this."

Gaara sighed, "I'm sure you look fine. Just come on."

"Not happening." She snapped.

Kankuro walked up the stairs laughing, "Hey, Pinky. Just come on and let us see. If you look bad, we'll let you go change."

"She looks amazing!" Temari pouted, punching Kankuro in the arm for suggesting otherwise.

There was a short pause and the door unlocked and the handle started to move. Gaara looked up from beside the door with curiosity. As the normally old-fashioned girl stepped out, Gaara felt his heart speed up slightly. His wide eyes scanned up her legs, covered in a black fishnet and a puffed out black and pink skirt that came almost to her mid-thigh. The black shirt stopped above her belly button, hanging off one of her shoulders and showing plenty of cleavage, forming to her body perfectly. Chains hung off her mid-calf boots and she wore bullet earring with a matching neckless. Her normal messy bun was replaced with wavy locks.

"Fucking hot!" Kankuro almost yelled, "I never thought I'd see you dressed like that!"

"See? I told you looked great."

Sakura sighed, "I don't know, I mean I've never dressed like this before. My mom never let me show skin like this."

Kankuro looked over at his brother, who was still looking at the pinklette in what seemed like shock. He nudged him gently with his foot, snapping him back to reality. "Gaara, what do you think." Kankuro mused knowingly.

Gaara stood up, never taking his eyes off of Sakura, "I don't think I'm really the person to ask." He shrugged. Sakura looked down, her slight smile fading, "But I'm having trouble looking away and I'm not sure why." He admitted truthfully, wondering if someone had casted a jutsu on him. Sakura blushed.

"Then it's decided. You're wearing it, at least for a little while." Temari laughed, exchanging looking with Kankuro as they led the younger teens down the stairs to the raging party.

Gaara watched at Temari and Sakura were escorted out to the dance area by a couple of guys from the college Temari attended, unsure of why he felt so much animosity to the blond boy making Sakura laugh as he spun her around. Kankuro plopped down on the arm of the chair Gaara was observing from, already pretty drunk in the short amount of time they had been down stairs.

"Sakura's hot." The brunette laughed, earning a hateful glare from the younger of the two. "You'd make an interesting couple if all of this works out."

Gaara turned his attention to his brother, "Couple of what?" he asked. "If what works?"

Kankuro froze, his unfocused eyes watching the redheads calm face for any hint of emotion, "You know, friends, l-like we were talking about earlier?" he stuttered, quickly getting up and walking away. Gaara rolled his eyes, getting up to get another beer.

"We're here!" a voice sounded threw the crowd. Gaara heard Temari squeal and a barrage of voices saying their hellos. He could only guess it was her boyfriend, Shikamaru and his friends. He watched at the crowded house got even more crowded with the arrival of the eleven teens and sighed, scanning for Sakura. Unable to spot her, he journeyed off into the mob of people to find her.

Ino cried on Tenten's shoulder, watching as some Suna girl began to grind on him. "I thought he loved me," she sobbed, her makeup running down her cheeks. Neji and Kiba stood close to the two girls, rolling their eyes at the situation they knew would eventually occur.

"I told you this was a dumb idea," Shino told the boys as he walked over to a couch with Choji close behind him, clutching a bag of chips and nodding in agreement.

Naruto squeezed Hinata's hand gently, "It serves you right." He spat, his eyes narrowed at the blond.

Ino stood up and marched over to the blond, "You've been all high and mighty since Sakura left!" She yelled between songs, catching everyone's attention, "So what if we didn't tell her, it's not like I actually care, he's mine."

Gaara glared over at the blonds arguing over the mention of his friend. 'How do they know of Sakura?' he wondered, glancing over at Temari who had confused look plastered on her face.

Shikamaru walked over to the yelling teens as everyone else returned to the party, "Would you guys cool it?" he whispered, "You're so-"

"Troublesome?" Ino guessed, "No, all of you people are troublesome. I went after what I wanted and I got it. You didn't have to lie to her. None of you did, but you made your choice and now I'm suddenly everyone's enemy? I mean for god's sake Tenten even assumed I was sleeping with Neji when we trained together last week."

Gaara caught sight of pink out of the corner of her eye and turned quickly. Sakura stood a few feet away, her mouth open in surprise. He rushed over to her, hoping to be told what was going on.

"w-we all wanted to tell her," Hinata voiced. "But h-how c-could we?"

"How do you tell someone that two people she trusted the most, had stabbed her in the back." Kiba growled, "It's not an easy thing to just do." Sakura watched as they argued with each other, hanging on every word.

"If you had an issue with what was going on, you should have said something, don't blame me that you didn't care for that ugly slut." Ino laughed.

Kiba yelled. "You're really going to call her the slut? You slept with her boyfriend!"

"She should have put out," Sasuke breathed as he joined the group, "Can you guys shut up about it."

"Seriously," Ino sighed, "It's all you ever talk about. We're supposed to be friends."

Hinata rose to her feet, slapping the blond girl, earning a gasp from her friends. "No, Sakura was our friend." She told her. Ino moved to strike the raven haired girl only to be stopped by Neji. "You ruined everything." Hinata yelled. Naruto grabbed her into a hug and walked her back to the couch as she cried. Sakura watched with fondness as Naruto consoled the small girl.

"You made your choice." Sasuke chuckled in slight amusement.

"No," Kiba barked, getting in his face "We made a choice to tell her once she moved. That way she'd never have to see your ugly face again. You made the choice to hurt her, we tried to save her."

Ino laughed as Sasuke put his arm around her, forgetting that he was just all over another girl, "You just didn't want to see her ugly ass cry!"

Kiba grabbed her face and brought it close to hers, "She looks a million times better then you ever will." He released her. Neji walked up next to him, watching as the onyx eyed boy eyed the overconfident Kiba, "Plus, we planned to drive out to see her, I have enough money to save up for me and three more of us to see her. I still have it saved, because the second I find out where she is, I'll be there."

"Yeah, yeah, we all know how you feel about her. Damn puppy love." Sasuke laughed.

The group continued to argue.

"Are they talking about you?" Gaara finally asked quietly, a foreign feeling entering his gut. Sakura only nodded, not taking her eyes of the brunette boy standing toe to toe with the onyx eyed boy, "I can kick them all out?" He offered.

Sakura stood for a moment, looking at the gloomy faces of the people she use to call friends. Remembering the times she had spent with each of them. They were her friends for as long as she could remember, always there to help her when she was down. All the signs of Sasuke's infidelity were right in front of her the whole time, but she was too infatuated with him to see clearly. Seeing him now, she felt broken, but seeing her friends defend her, even when she had pushed them away made her strong.

"Stop, all of you." Sakura demanded, walking over to the leaf ninja, the chains on her boots rattling with each step. "Do you really think this is the way to act as a guest in the Sabaku house?" The teen froze, looking as if they had seen a ghost. "Hello? Can you hear me?"

Naruto jumped up, running to hug the pinklette, "Sakura!" cheered. Gaara flew over and pulled him off, tossing him back on the couch.

"Don't touch her." He growled protectively, still not fully understanding the situation at hand. "If you do, you won't live to see the morning.

Sasuke pulled his arm from around Sakura, "Is that really you?" He asked, looking her up and down lustfully. "I never stopped thinking of-"

"Save it." Sakura spat, "I'm over you."

Sasuke was taken aback, "Over me? Babe, all this is one big understanding." He reached out to grab her hand, only to be met by Gaara's fist connecting to his face. Sand flooded threw the room, sending most of the guests out screaming. Everyone knew what Gaara was capable of.

"I said, don't touch her." Gaara hissed, pulling an intense look plastered on her face. Kankuro and Temari rushed the partiers who had stayed out of the house before running over to the battle.

"And who are you?" Sasuke yelled, his black eyes turning red.

Temari pulled out a large fan as Ino took a fighting position, followed by Kankuro a wooden puppet. Gaara felt a pounding in his head getting stronger, "Sabaku no Gaara." He grinned wickedly, raising his arms up slowly. The sand began to rise as Gaara's eyes turned yellow.

"Gaara!" Temari yelled, "The seal!"

"Fuck the seal!" A voice sounded, making Sakura take a step back. It wasn't Gaara's voice that had come out of his mouth. "I want blood."

Sand flew in all directions, pinning his sibling and Sakura's old friends in place, unable to move. Sakura ran over to Temari and Kankuro, trying to pull the sand off of them with no avail. The Konoha ninja began to shout for help. "G-Gaara" Sakura cried, running to each of the trapped teenager, looking for a way to free them.

Sasuke looked around in terror, he had never seen such power in somebody his own age, let alone fought anyone like him. Sand had already began to creep up his legs. He quickly grabbed his shuriken from his pouch and threw them at the sadistic boy, earning a mechanical laugh. "Is that all you've got? I was hoping to have some fun." The sand moved higher, holding his arms to his sides. "You won't see another day!" The sand moved up Sasuke's neck.

"You have to stop him," Temari pleaded to Sakura from across the room as the sand climbed up to her neck as well.

Sakura looked upon the scene in terror, her body frozen where it stood. She didn't know what to do.

"Gaara please st-" She started, her shaky legs moving her forward slowly.

"GAARA ISNT HERE!" the voice cackled, "but you, my sweet cherry blossom, you will be spared."

The sand crept higher and higher until it covered the mouths of Sasuke and all of her friends. "Gaara!" She screamed, propelling herself forward and wrapping her arms around him, "Please." Tears began to fall down her cheeks.

"Saku-" the sand froze.

Sakura moved quickly in front of him and grabbed his face between her hands gently, "Gaara, listen to me, please stop." Gaara's arms lowered, one hand resting upon hers.

"I just wanted to protect… the person who was special to me." He muttered so only she could hear before his eyes flickered back to their normal color and he fell to the ground, eyes closed. As his body hit the ground, Sakura dove forward, catching his head before it struck the ground. The sand fell, but her friends and Sasuke stayed frozen in place.

"Quick, get his shirt off!" Temari yelled as her and Kankuro rushed over. Sakura wasn't listening to them, she was too focused on Gaara's shallow breathing and faint heart rate. "We need a bowl of water!" Temari yelled to the bystanders, none of who moved.

Sakura gently laid Gaara's head on the ground and rushed to the kitchen. Kankuro knelt down, cutting a line down the front of his brother's shirt. "We have to be quick." He muttered as Sakura set down the water next to them.

"Is he dying?" Naruto finally spoke up.

"Worse. Shukaku is breaking free." Kankuro growled as Gaara's yellow eyes began to flicker open, "We need to keep him held down. Those of you who want to go, do so now before it's too late"

Shikamaru stepped up, mumbling 'troublesome' under his breath as he laid down, "Shadow Possession Jutsu." His shadow stretched to Gaara. Shikamaru go into a semi comfortable position, focusing on controlling his chakra output so he didn't drain himself too quickly.

Choji nudged Shino, nodding to the door. "Let's get out of here before he gets up," he whispered to the bug boy. Shino looked around at his other friends, none of whom were attempting to flee. His team mates, Hinata and Kiba were standing close to Sakura, each of them holding on of her hands in support.

"I can't leave my team." He told the large boy, not sure of how this event was going to play out. Choji sighed, looking at a relaxed Shikamaru laying feet from the psychopath. He couldn't leave his teammate here to die while he fled, as much as he wished he could. He glanced over at his other teammate, Ino, who was busy trying to wake Sasuke from his frozen state of shock. As much as he loathed the girl, he didn't want her death on his hands either. The two boys stood quietly as Temari nicked her finger with a senbon needle, anticipating an attack.

Temari began to scribble quickly around the red kanji mark on Gaara's forehead, earning a glare from his yellow eyes. "You can't keep me locked away forever." A voice groaned from Gaara's mouth. She ignored him, writing down the boy's cheek and neck to chest.

"I can't find his Chakra point, Shukaku us masking them," Kankuro growled in anger, his hands gently prodding the redhead's small frame around his sides and hips.

Neji stepped forward with Tenten close behind him, her weapon poised to strike. "Why do you need to find his chakra points for a seal?" Neji asked, watching the two sand shinobi panic.

"This is a seal that we created for Shukaku. The Kanji is protected by the demon, any seal you attach directly to it will fail. We created this one to attach to it indirectly threw his chakra channel by attaching it to a chakra point." Temari explained, still writing the seal in blood as she spoke. "We use one on his side in hopes nobody sees it and tries to unseal the beast."

"Byakugan" Neji muttered, the veins around his grey eyes bulging out. "Why not here, on his leg" he questioned, his finger touching a spot up high on the boys thigh. Kankuro nodded at Temari and used his kunai to cut the boys pants, reviling his dark black boxers.

A growl came from the redheaded boy, "Take them off and your dead!" Kankuro wasn't sure whether it was the demon or his own brother was threatening him at this point.

"Guys, you need to speed this up, I can't hold him much longer." Shikamaru groaned in a breathless voice. Hinata and Choji hurried to their friend, placing their hands on his and slowly pushing chakra into him to help him. Naruto, Tenten, and Shino rushed over and put their hands on his arms and legs, doing the same. Shikamaru lit up slightly his eyes widening at the sudden power he felt.

Kankuro's hands hesitated over the boy's boxers, his fingers shaking, "Move," Sakura demanded, pushing his hands away and pulling Gaara boxers down just enough to expose the spot Neji was pointing to. Kiba glared at the redheaded boy with jealousy.

"Sasuke, come near my cherry blossom one more time, and I'll kill you. These people won't always be around to save you." Shukaku growled as Temari finished writing the seal around the chakra point. "I'll see you again, my dear Sakura."

Sasuke stared at the redhead, watching at Kankuro placed his hands on Temari sending his chakra threw her. "I need more." She whispered, her index finger and middle finger pointed up as she focused everything she had on them. Sakura placed one hand on her, keeping the other on Gaara's leg to hold his boxers in place and looked at Kiba with pleading eyes. He sighed and joined Kankuro, giving Temari his chakra. "Sabaku Seal!" she yelled, just as Shikamaru's jutsu began to falter. She pressed her two fingers to the chakra point and her other hand in the water quickly as he began trying to move.

The Shukaku screamed in agony, as a bright white light begun flowing from the love kanji on his forehead and the chakra point. The lights rose up, connecting in the air as his bright yellow eyes closed and reopened. The water in the bowl rose up, spiraling around the light and flowing into the seal. Gaara's eyes had gone back to being their normal sea green color, now full of pain. The ninja watched with wide eyes as the light receded and Gaara sat up wearily. His empty eyes looking around slowly, "Wh-What happened?" he asked shakenly, his eyes settling on Sakura. Gaara's eyes fluttered closed and he fell back to the floor, his hand covering the black seal on his thigh.
