A stream of light shown dimly through the dark as Bobby and Helen entered into the mining shaft. Bobby cocked his shotgun as Helen took out her pistol from the holster that was strapped to her right thigh. "Be careful, these son of a bitches are tricky," Bobby warned and Helen nodded. The mining shaft was musty smelling and along the dirt walls were old lights that most likely didn't work anymore. Helen's eye shifted left to right every few seconds, making sure not to get a surprise attack from this certain shape shifter.

Soon the shaft divided into two different tunnels. Helen's eyes went the dirt ground to find faint footsteps. "Bobby, footsteps," Helen whispered and she heard him turned towards her before making his way to her. Helen stared down at the man in the navy flannel shirt as he squatted so he could study the footprint.

"There aren't any footsteps coming out..." Bobby stated.

Helen's heart began to race as Bobby stood up. He glanced at her for a split second with concern in his blue eyes and then began to walk down the tunnel. Helen couldn't help but get the air stuck in her throat. Every nerve in her body was tingling and the thought having to face something that she thought didn't exist made her nervous in every way possible.

"Helen, go down the less traveled path – just in case," Bobby ordered and Helen nodded. A bit of sickness washed over her as she realized she was going to be on her own. She cocked back the hammer of pistol before taking her first steps into the tunnel. "Be careful," Bobby quickly added. Helen saw more concern in Bobby's blue eyes and she nodded.

"Yeah, of course," she replied with a small smile. It was strange to say, but her and Bobby connected quickly and easily – especially during the drive. Helen's thoughts were re-directed to the task at hand. She had to hunt down this shape shifter and stop it before it hurt anyone else. The only light source that Helen had was the flashlight in her left hand that rest lightly on her right wrist – similar to how a police officer held a flashlight and gun while searching a home. Each sound made Helen's heart heart hammer harder and harder.

It had to be at least five minutes before Helen huffed in irritation. How long was this under ground tunnel? It seemed never ending. Suddenly loud rings of gun shots rang through the tunnel.

For a split second, the bundle of muscle in her chest tightened to a quick stop as she sprang in the direct that she had just came from. The muscles in her face moved and a loud scream for Bobby escaped from Helen's lips. "Bobby!" The dirt ceiling began to shake and clouds of dirt fell. Helen stumbled against the wall. "Bobby!" she screamed again but her scream was engulfed by a loud rumbling sound. The upper surface of the cave buckled and a wall of rock and soil came crashing down in front of Helen.

But that wasn't it.

The cave continued to collapse.

Helen's eyes grew large and she jumped from the wall to run back down into the tunnel. Even if she had ran faster, it wouldn't have saved her.

The wall of earth caught her and a large rock sent Helen into a world of pain and darkness.

"Helen, you should have listened to Bobby," he said with amusement. "Be more careful next time." Helen stared dully at the green grass that she had seen so many times. Warm arms wrapped around her waist and a hair-raising kiss was planted onto her jaw.

Images flashed through Helen's head of what happened last time she was in this dream wlorld. He helped her kill Alastair.

His tongue began to teased her ear as he sucked on it. Goosebumps crawled onto her skin and a small gasp came from her. As soon as the small gasp escaped her throat, the man behind her, gently latched his teeth on the soft skin of her neck. His hand ran up from her waist and up to her breast.

"Wait, wait," she urged and pushed away his hands.

A small kissed was placed on her cheek. "What's wrong?"

A bit of sadness formed in Helen's heart. "I don't even know your name..."

He let out a laugh. "Don't worry, my little Helen, you will learn soon enough."

Helen's eyes fluttered up to only see dirt and more dirt. The light from the flashlight broke through the dust filled air. She started to cough as she sat up. Dirt fell off her clothes and a line of warm liquid trickled down the side of her face. Helen wiped the blood away with her hand before she stood up completely. The last bit of memories played through Helen's head. "Bobby," she whispered and turned to go back down the tunnel, however, the wall of earth made Helen stop in her tracks.

Rushing up to the wall, she began to push the dirt away. Her nails dug frantically and dirt spilled onto her boots. "Bobby! Can you hear me?" Silence. She continued to dig and dig. Even after her fingers began to sting with pain, she still dug. "Bobby!" Nothing. "Bobby, please say something!" There was no reply or even a sound from Bobby. All Helen heard was the echo of her voice.

"You have got to be kidding me. No, no. This can't be happening," Helen mumbled. Panic raced through her body. If she continued down this tunnel, would she find a way to leave the tunnel? What if there wasn't an exit? Helen quickly snatched the cellphone that Bobby gave her from her back pocket and dialed Bobby's number.

It went straight to voice mail.

"Dammit!" she yelled and let out a shaky breath. "Okay, Helen, just keep walking. You'll find a away out." Shoving the cellphone back into her pocket, she quickly found her gun and grabbed the flashlight. Helen had to find a way out or she was going to be in big trouble.

"You'll find a way out," she said to herself again.

Helen forehead was pressed against the cold dirt wall and shaky breathes came from her. "There's no way out," she whispered. "No exit." Her mind went back to the cellphone. She could call Sam and Dean, but that would be stupid. This was her very first hunter and she already needed help.

How pathetic...

Pushing herself from the wall, she sent off back to the other end of the tunnel. Half way there, Helen came to the realization that it didn't matter if she walked back forth all day. She had to call Sam and Dean. Swallowing her pride, she took the phone out and found Dean's number the in address book on her blackberry.

Ring...

Ring...

Rin–

"Hello?" Dean's voice sounded tired and guilt pulled on Helen's chest.

"Hey, Dean," she replied and couldn't help but let a small smile appear on her face.

"Helen? Already need some help?" Dean questioned with an amused voice. "It's only been two days." Shame silenced Helen from replying as she leaned against the wall. A moment of silence made Dean's voice grow suddenly serious. "Helen? What's wrong?" She heard him put her on speakerphone.

She took a deep breath. "Yesterday we arrived to Gillette, Wyoming because of the shape shifter case," she began to explained.

"Yeah, I know all about that. Just skip over that and tell me what's wrong," Dean said.

"Me and Bobby were checking out this abandoned mining shaft since he thought this would be the best place to investigate, but we split up and–"

Dean cut Helen off. "You two split up?"

"Yeah, there were these two tunnels and Bobby told me to go down one of them while he went down the other. But while I search the tunnel, I heard gunshots and before I knew it, the tunnel began to shake and then it collapsed. A rock knocked me out, but when I woke up, I tried to dig through the wall of dirt, but I couldn't," Helen explained with the phone pressed against her ear.

"What about Bobby? Where is he?" Dean asked.

Helen bit her lip before replying, "I don't know. I tried calling his cell, but it went straight to voice mail. And now I'm trapped and I have no way of getting out. I know I just started out being a hunter and this is a really sucky way to start out, but I need your help. Please, Dean." Tears were beginning to form and she forced them away.

"Alright, Helen, just take it easy," Dean replied and Helen could hear stuff in the background being shuffled around. "Me and Sam will be there soon as possible. It might be about eight hours, but we'll get there as soon as we can."

A shadow suddenly caught Helen's eyes. She lifted the light towards the shadow to only reveal Bobby. In his hand on the same shotgun and on his head was the same trucker's hat. He was safe. Bobby was alive. "He's alive," Helen whispered and a smiled appeared onto her face as Bobby strolled towards her.

"What?" Dean asked through the phone.

"It's Bobby. He's alive!" Helen's smile got bigger as each second passed by. "He's right in front of me."

"Bobby? You just said you were trapped," Dean's confused voice said through the phone and then everything hit Helen.

Dean was right. For a couple seconds, Helen was so happy that Bobby was alive that she had totally forgotten that all exits were cut off. There was no way that was Bobby standing before her. "Shape shifter," she said in a voiceless tone. The shape shifter smirked wickedly and charged. The blackberry was suddenly released from Helen's hand as she raised her gun up. The pistol's hammer was already cocked, so there was only one thing to do.

Bang!

Dean's eyebrows creased together when he heard what Helen had just said. "It's Bobby. He's alive! He's right in front of me." "Bobby? You just said you were trapped," he asked in a confused tone and Sam, who was sitting across the table from him, gave Dean a strange look. "Helen, are you there?" A few seconds later, gunshots sounded through the phone.

Bang!

Bang!

Bang!

Dean could hear the empty metal shells clatter on the ground before everything went quiet. "Helen?" Dean repeated. Not but a second later, the noise of two people struggling with each came from the phone. There was grunting and yelling before both of the Winchesters heard Helen's painful cry.

Then there was more fighting. At one point, Dean heard a man yelp and hiss in pain. "Stupid bitch!" Dean heard the shape shifter yell again before there was a thud – similar to a large bag of potatoes being dropped to the ground – and then there was silence.

"Helen?" Dean asked once again and then the line went dead.

Dean flung his bag into the back of the Impala and quickly jumped into the vehicle just after Sam did. Dean peeled out of the motel's parking lot as Sam took out the map. "Alright, if we haul ass, we'll be there in seven hours," Sam told his brother as he studied the map.

"Not good enough," Dean snapped back and his fingers tightened on the steering wheel.

"Well, that's all we can do," Sam replied back and Dean glared at the road. "Dean, I know how bad the odds are–"

Dean's green eyes glanced at Sam and then back to the road. "The odds aren't bad, they're terrible, atrocious, or any other synonymy you can think of in that head of yours. Bobby reviewed the case with me." Dean licked his lips. "This shape shifter is just like the one we dealt with in 2005. He shape shifts in the household's husband and then murders the wife. He's even murdering their children." The Impala flew through a stop sign before Dean spoke again. "I doubt Helen has seven hours."

In about 7 hours, Sam realized that they were making great time. They were most likely only an ten minutes away. Sam has never seen Dean determined to get some where so fast. The Impala's engined roared as it sped over seventy-five miles per hour. "You should slow down a little. We're almost there," Sam told Dean.

"If I slow down, those few minutes that I could lose might mean the death of Bobby or Helen," Dean said back to his brother.

"Yeah, but if you get pulled over by a police officer for a speeding ticket, you'll lose even more time." Dean glared at the road. "Dean, slow down," Sam advised and Dean's pressure on the gas petal lessened. The Impala was now going sixty-five miles per hour.

Dean drove his baby straight to the out skirts of the town and to the mining cave.

Navy blue began to slowly seep into the sky above. Night was very soon.

Neither of them wasted time when they arrived. Sam opened the trunk and both of them snatched the weapons they needed. The trunk was then slammed shut and they set off to the cave. The whole way into the dark cave all Dean could think about was what could have happened to Bobby and Helen. Soon the tunnel that him and Sam were walking down divided into two different tunnels. "Did Helen say which one she went down?" Sam asked and Dean shook his head.

"No, she didn't," Dean said and cursed under his breath. "Alright, you take the right tunnel and I'll take the left."
