No Such thing as Happily Ever After
Pippa did not live happily ever after

When she was a little girl she would always love to hear stories, and like all little girls she wanted to be a princess and have her own happily ever after. She would dream of being Cinderella and going to the ball; or of Sleeping Beauty and getting her true love's kiss.
But unlike all little girls her dream shattered much too early for her.
Jack, I'm scared.
Her older brother, who was forever her knight in shining armor.
Its okay, its okay. D-don't look down, j-just look at me.
Was taken to early, all because he wanted to make her happy.
We're gonna have a little fun instead!
The other kids didn't like playing with her anymore. They were afraid that they would die just like the nice Overland boy who would play with them. The adults whispered about her, called her 'that poor Overland girl'. But to her the others were right, she did kill her brother; and she deserved everything they gave her.
No we're not!
To her it would forever be her fault, even when her mother, and later husband, would reassure her that it wasn't her fault. Pippa could see that some small part of their-her-mother blamed her. She could see it in her eyes whenever Mother talked to her, she would always hold a little blame to her daughter.
Would I trick you?
Every night, right after supper she would walk down to the pond and just wait. Wait for her older brother who would have done anything for her, even if it killed him.
Yes! You always play tricks!
She had always hoped that it was just another of his tricks and that he would pop out of the forest yelling,"Gotcha Pip! Hey why are you crying?" And she would hug him, barrating him for scaring her. Then he'd smile, that crooked smile that made girls love him, and apologize saying, "It was just a joke!"
But that would never happen.
Woah!
Because Jack, funny, lively Jack, was never coming back. She killed him, all because she wanting to go skating.
Jack!
Tears filled her eyes, and this time she didn't stop then from spilling. Now there wasn't anyone who would sing her a lullaby, no one to make her laugh. Jack was everything to her and now he was gone.
I'm sorry Jack.
Above her a white-haired, blue-eyed boy wondered why the little girl was crying; and something in him, something that still remembered, promised to cheer her up. Jackson Overland might have perished, but that doens't mean he ever stopped looking out for his little sister.

I woke up to snow! Thanks Jack! I honestly don't know how I came up with this, it was suppose to be a happy yet sad. Where Pippa remembered everything Jack did for her but somehow it ended up like this. So I guess my hands had a different idea than I did. Please review!
