Hi everybody! I haven't abandoned this story, I just haven't had internet at my house (long story) so I haven't been able to update. Idk when I'll be able to again, so I had to skip over some months, but the baby is born this chapter :D.

Landon's house
12:00pm
It was Landon's birthday today so Massie was at his house, but she was nine months pregnant and uncomfortable, and not in the best mood. "Are you sure you want me here?" she asked Landon, "You should be having fun, I'm just going to sit here like a sloth." she lounged around on his bed, not wanting to get up and do anything. Besides the fact that she felt huge, she'd been having braxton hicks contractions all day and last night and they were kind of painful. The first time she'd felt them she thought she was in labor, but her mother had told her that she most likely wasn't so there was no need to go to the hospital yet.
"Of course I want you here, and you should cheer up, lately you've been a bit-"
"Fat?"
"No, that wasn't what I was gonna say. I mean you've been really-"
"Bitchy?"
"Um, not exactly, but you're never really in a good mood."
Massie rolled her eyes, "Neither would you if you had a huge baby inside you moving around every second!"
"Well, it'll all be over soon, you're due date is in six days."
"I'm not sure how I feel about that," she said, "I'm ready to get him out already, but childbirth is gonna suck."
"Yeah, and don't forget really bloody too."
"Nawt helping!"
"Sorry, I'm not really sure what to say anymore."
"I know I've been really difficult lately, but being pregnant sucks." In her first trimester there was all the morning sickness, her second trimester was good, but since she'd entered her third she had trouble sleeping, and lately there'd been lots of back pain.
"Yeah I know, you tell me all the time."
Before she could say anything, she winced in pain, that was the strongest contraction she'd had and she was starting to feel like she was having actual contractions, not the Braxton Hicks kind.
"I think I'm really in labor now, these have getting intense and closer together since this morning." She grimaced in pain, wishing it could be over already, but she knew this was only the beginning to a really long painful day.
Landon's eyes widened and then he said,"Okay,"calmly, and then he walked out of the room and yelled, "MOM!"
"Why are you yelling?" Celia asked, "and what's going on?"
"I think I'm in labor," Massie said, "and I really need to get to the hospital."
"Okay, everybody just be calm, and by everybody I mean you Landon, you look like you're about to faint."
"I'm calm, it's not like there's anything to freak out about, except for the fact that my girlfriend is about to push a person out of her and there's gonna be human juice everywhere!"
Massie's eyebrows crinkled, "Human juice?"
"Everything is going to be fine, and there isn't going to be any pushing for a while," Celia tried to calm Landon and then she turned to Massie and said, "If you really feel like you're in labor you should call your doctor and tell him you're coming in, and call your mom."
Even though she was in pain and most likely in early labor, Massie wasn't panicking at all for some reason. She did as Celia told her and called her doctor and her parents. Her mother was going to meet her at the hospital and her dad would come later since he was working right now and labor was usually a slow process. Massie wasn't excited at all hearing that, she expected it to be like in movies when you go to the hospital, have a quick labor, and then leave with your baby shortly after. That wasn't at all what happened.
Westchester
The Hospital
1:00pm
Once she was at the hospital and in the room, her pain had gotten worse, there were nurses in and out of her room, and both her and Landon's family was there. She sent the PC a text telling them she was in labor, but today they were all in New York shopping, so they couldn't be there yet, but they'd be on their way. Of all the days they could've picked to go to New York, today was a really inconvenient one, Massie wanted her best friends here badly. But if her labor took as long as everyone was saying it most likely would, her friends would be here for the major stuff. Now was the boring part, after being at the hospital for about two hours she was only three centimeters dilated so she couldn't leave and she couldn't get an epidural, which she wanted more than anything. Landon was trying to be comforting to her, but she was in so much pain that it wasn't really helping.
"Why would you do this to me?!" she shouted, "Do you have any idea how much pain I'm in? And It's only gonna get worse!"
"I-"
"I don't wanna hear your excuses! You just couldn't wait to seduce me and put your spawn in me!"
One of the nurses gave Landon a sympathetic look after hearing Massie's crazy, labor induced accusations.
"I'm hungry, get me something to eat!"
"I'll go do that." Landon rushed out of the room, he hadn't expected Massie to be so, unpleasant, during this, but he figured he'd not be the nicest person either if he were her.
After another hour Landon's family went back home since not much was happening, but Landon, along with Massie's parents, stayed. Massie was happy that they were there, but the only thing that could make her really happy would be to get an epidural and getting her baby out of her. To comfort herself she thought of her baby, she had to keep reminding herself that all of this pain was worth it because in the end she'd get to have her adorable baby Zander. All those months she knew this would happen, but it had never really felt real, and now it was happening. She felt bad for being so mean to Landon earlier, but she couldn't help it, ever time she felt a contraction she was in so much pain that she didn't care about how rude she was being.
About two hours later she'd just been told by her doctor that she was five centimeters dilated, and and now she could get an epidural if she wanted. When she saw how big the needle was, she became unsure, but then she had another painful contraction and she was begging for it.
"It's important that you be very still," the anesthesiologist instructed her before placing the long needle in front of her spine. Massie got really still, waiting for it to be over, she was in so much pain that a shot in the spine seemed like a nice idea.
"I'm sorry," Landon told her once they were back in the delivery room, "It really sucks to watch you have to go through this."
"It's okay," Massie told him, finally feeling calm, "It's not your fault, it's just a part of life I guess, a very sucky part of life."
"Well it won't suck for long, later tonight we'll have our son."
"I know, I can't wait, and I'm sorry for being a bitch to you earlier."
"It's alright," he says as he held her hand.
"I love you," she told him. She was really happy that he'd been there for her throughout her whole pregnancy, when most guys his age would've probably abandoned their pregnant girlfriends or decide not to come around because they're not ready. The fact that he hadn't done that and that he was here with her now even when she'd been being monster to him before she'd gotten her epidural, made her feel really grateful for him.
"I love you too," he said to her before giving her a kiss.
"Knock knock," Kendra came into the room, "How are you doing?"
"Better since I got that shot, how much longer is this gonna take?" She'd been here since one and it was almost seven o'clock.
"I don't know, it could be all night."
Massie groaned dramatically, "Ehmagawd!"
Kendra tried to comfort her daughter now. "I know it seems like it's taking forever, but it'll be over before you know it." Then suddenly the door burst open and Massie got an unexpected visitor.
"Nina?"
"Hola!" Nina came in holding a big balloon that said 'It's a Boy' on it.
"How nice of you to come," Kendra said to her.
"What are you doing here? Are you here with Alicia?" Of all people she expected to visit her while she was waiting to give birth, Nina wasn't one of them. Sure, they didn't exactly hate each other now, but they weren't friends either. Occasionally Nina would tag along with Alicia, and it was kind of awkward.
"Nice to see you too, and yes, I'm here with Alicia and the rest of your friends, they should be in here any second."
"Is it almost time for the baby to be here?" Dylan asked as soon as she walked in the room followed by Alicia, Kristen, and Claire.
"Does it hurt?" Kristen asked.
"We got here as fast as we could," Alicia told her.
"We didn't want to miss this," Claire stood beside Massie's bed.
"There are way too many people in here!" Massie was happy to have her friends and family here, but having seven people in the room made it feel crowded.
"I'm going to step out for a few minutes," Landon said.
"Me too," Kendra told her, "I'll be back to check on you."
"This is kind of awkward so I'll be out in the waiting room." Nina walked out with Kendra and Landon.
After that there was only the PC in the room.
"So who are you gonna let in the room when you actually start pushing and stuff?" Claire asked.
Dylan looked excited, "I want to be in here with you, but I'd stay above the action, because it's gonna be all gross and stuff."
"Ew!" Alicia wrinkled up her nose.
"I love you guys, but none of you are going to be in here when I'm pushing the baby out, You all don't need to see me that up close and personal."
"Is Landon going to be in here with you?"
"Yeah, but even he has to stay above everything." The thought of Landon seeing her when she had blood and human juice all over certain body parts made her feel embarrassed and grossed out.
"Well how much longer is it gonna take?" Alicia asked her.
"Probably hours," Massie sighed.
Three hours later...
10:13pm
"You're at ten centimeters now," A nurse informed Massie, "So it's about to be time to start pushing."
"Finally!" Massie exclaimed, and then she asked the nurse to go get Landon. He'd been out of the room to go get something to eat, but food was going to have to wait now.
When the doctor, along with another nurse, came in the room, and Landon stood by Massie's side, everything started to feel real. She was actually about to have a baby. Landon sent a text to his family, telling them it was almost time, and Massie's parents and the PC waited outside the door.
Now it was time to push and Massie was excited, the sooner she got this over with, the sooner she'd get to have her son , and the sooner she could get out of the hospital. She grabbed Landon's hand as she pushed down as hard as she could and the doctors coached her through it. She expected everything to happen fast, but of course it didn't. After pushing for twenty minutes there was still no baby and she was getting frustrated and she was exhausted.
"I'm sooo tired," she groaned.
"Just keep going," her doctor instructed her, "The top of the baby's head is visible."
So after that she pushed and pushed until she couldn't anymore until finally the sound of Zander's cries filled the room. She couldn't believe she'd done it, she'd given birth. When the doctor sat Zander on her stomach she couldn't take her eyes off him, and neither could Landon. Massie was in complete awe that they'd created him and that he was hers. When he had to go be cleaned off her eyes never left him. Any thought of anything else, like being tired had vanished completely, all she could think about was finally getting to hold her baby boy. He soon came back to her, swaddled in a blanket, and even though she'd never held a baby before, holding him felt natural.
"You're so cute," she gushed as she looked into his Caribbean-blue eyes that matched Landon's.
She finally tore her eyes away and looked up at Landon, "He's so perfect, isn't he?"
Landon nodded and then said, "I'm just in shock, I can't believe we made him."
"I know right, he's the most perfect baby ever." she leaned down and kissed his head. She never thought she could love anyone or anything as much as she loved him, and it all happened in such a short time.
"He even smells cute," she told Landon.
"Can I hold him now?"
"Sure." Massie kissed Zander one more time before passing him to Landon.
Seeing Landon holding Zander melted Massie's heart, at that moment everything was perfect. She had the guy she loved and her son who she loved more than anything in the world, and nothing else mattered.
As soon as one of the nurses told everyone they could come in, the PC burst through the door. They noticed Massie didn't look up at them, all her attention was on her baby.
"Ehmagawd! He looks like you," Alicia noticed.
"You think so?" Massie thought he looked more like Landon.
"He has Landon's eyes," Claire said, "But I agree with Alicia, he looks like you."
Dylan and Kristen nodded in agreement and they all huddled around Massie's bed and looked at Zander. Before now, none of them could've ever imagined Massie, of all people, with a baby. Alicia was happy for Massie, but at the same time seeing her with the baby made her feel sad and slightly jealous. Why couldn't she have had her baby?
Claire was really happy for Massie, she had a feeling that having a baby would make the alpha more down to earth, which would be good for her.
"Our turn," Kendra said as she and William entered the room. The PC moved out of the way to make room for them.
As soon as Kendra saw Massie holding Zander she was filled with all kinds of emotions, and they were mostly good. The fact that her daughter had just become a teen mom wasn't exactly a good thing, but she found it hard to not be happy, she had her first grandchild. It was sooner than she wanted to become a grandmother, but it was still a happy occasion. She hoped that having this baby would make Massie mature and grow into a strong woman.
Soon Landon's parents and grandparents were there too. Everyone took pictures of Zander and Massie. Although Massie enjoyed all of the attention, that enjoyment couldn't compare to the happiness she felt from finally having her beautiful baby boy.
