THE PHANTOM'S REALM

CHAPTER TWELVE: CONFRONTATIONS AND REVELATIONS

Danny phased back up into his room after an invisible float through the Palace. He had sent the Council to their respective rooms they had when they stayed at the Palace after apologizing for holding up the meeting, which they told him not to worry about since they knew he had no control over what happened.

With the Council nothing interesting happened except for Phantom forcing Death to take the strings off the 'puppets' in the entrance room, much to the Scythe-wielding councilmen's dismay. But it happened non-the-less.

He had popped in on each of the members of Team Phantom, saying his final goodnights to Tucker, Sam and Jazz before tucking Danielle in in her room on the top floor of the Palace.

He thought about popping in on Skulker or Technus but after that group hug he forced them into, they probably wouldn't be too keen on seeing him. He wouldn't go see Johnny and Kitty either. They wouldn't be too happy with him disturbing there, ahem, 'after bed-time activities'.

So he decided to go see Ember before going to bed himself, only he wasn't there. A little disappointed, he sighed and phased into his own bedroom and prepared to go human before a voice spoke to him.

"What took you so long, Baby-Pop?" Asked the familiar voice of Ember McLain. Danny spun around to face the blue-haired-diva with a smirk on his face.

"I was saying goodnight to everyone. I stopped by your room too but you wouldn't know that would you?" Danny replied. Ember looked away shyly before getting serious again and looking at the halfa.

"What was with you back there? When we were in that net you almost lost it." Ember scolded. Danny flinched.

"I know." He said softly, looking down.

"You don't need anymore public backlash for anything else, losing your temper won't get you anywhere. What the hell were you thinking?" Ember continued, ignoring Danny's words.

"I wasn't." He said softly again.

"I know! You almost beat the shit out of the Idiots in White all because we got stuck in a net. That's not how you're supposed to handle-" Ember's rant was cut off by Danny's sudden interruption.

"Then you tell me how I'm supposed to handle seeing my family trapped in a net belonging to the same organization that's out to destroy all Ghosts. I sure as hell was not going to stay calm while they were shocking you inside just to taunt me. They didn't even want you. That net was supposed to get me." Danny cut her off, speaking his mind for the first time that night. He wasn't yelling but his voice was far from soft anymore.

"I thought you said the shock wasn't that bad." Ember pointed out, losing some steam. She had realized chewing him out might not be best right now, considering he was only trying to keep her safe.

"Yeah, for me. I've had a lot worse than an electrocuting net, okay? Compared to Vortex shooting lighting from his eyes at me that feels like a shock from an outlet. Vlad's cloning chamber made Vortex's lightening feel like a shock from an outlet and do I even have to mention the Portal accident?" Danny ranted, listing off his fingers.

Ember hesitated. That shock from the net had her seeing stars by the time Danny broke them free and she couldn't imagine what Danielle had been feeling. But to say that net felt like an outlet? She could tell he wasn't even trying to be smart, he was telling the complete truth that all three of the things he mentioned were that much worse. But she wasn't okay with him going berserk like that.

"You still didn't have to flip out like that. You of all people should know to keep a cool head in a fight." Ember reminded.

"Look I'm sorry, okay? But its hard to keep your cool when two of the most important people in your half-life are being electrocuted and calling for your help but you can't do anything because if you let go of your control for even a second it'll slip completely and soon you're a monster destroying and killing everybody. And enjoying every minute of it." Danny ranted at her, his eyes blazing a brighter green.

He was trying so hard to fight back there. Not even against the GIW. He was fighting himself. He knew he should've kept better control of himself but he could feel his rage at the GIW for attacking his family growing and controlling his actions. He knew if he let his rage win he was only kidding himself. That he was one step closer to losing his control completely. To losing his humanity. To becoming Dan.

He had never been so grateful to Skulker or Technus before. It they hadn't held him back he was almost certain he would've lost control by the end of the day. And he was sorry for almost making Ember and Danielle watch him almost lose himself like that. The glow around his eyes dimmed and Danny looked down at his feet again.

"I didn't mean to lose my cool. The thought of losing you or Danielle is horrible. But losing you both at the same time would have been unbearable. The possibility of losing you brought back some really bad memories that I still haven't gotten over, that I still haven't unseen, and I sure as hell wasn't going to go through it again." Danny finished determinedly.

Ember sat there, staring at the hybrid. She had no idea what event he was talking about or reliving but it had to have been horrible to leave Danny in this much grief and turmoil. She was almost sorry to have brought this up in the first place now, seeing how upset he got discussing the mere possibility of losing his loved ones.

Danny was regretting everything he had just let out in his rant. Nobody even knew Dan existed other than Tucker, Sam, Jazz, Clockwork and himself. He hadn't told Danielle, Ember, Kitty, Johnny or Ida anything about that day. Even if they knew he existed, they didn't know who he was. That he was supposed to be his own future self.

And nobody but Clockwork, Dan and himself knew the entire events of that day, either. Tucker, Sam and Jazz didn't know he actually failed or that Clockwork brought them back. That he had been to slow and too weak to save them all. Or what Dan had said, even from inside the Thermos.

Ember suddenly pulled him into a huge hug, surprising the halfa before he hugged back just as tight. Ember put her head in Danny's shoulder; silently apologizing for bringing up such bad memories because even though she had no idea what they were they had to have been pretty bad to make Danny break down.

"I'm sorry." Danny muttered, as he held Ember closer, enjoying the moment. She just nodded into his shoulder, too content to pull away.

LINEBREAK

"OH what hit me?" Paulina moaned as she sat up, the others not far behind.

Now it was just after 9:00 am Monday morning and Danny's class were all sitting up, confused as to where they were before realization struck them and the events of the past weekend came flooding back.

They remembered the crash, the trek, the old ghosts home, the trek, the museum and the trek. There was a lot of trekking.

"Wait! We're in Phantom's Palace! This is soo cool!" Dash cried, gesturing to the room they were in.

"So what do we do now?" Star asked, sitting back on the couch as everybody else looked around, getting his or her sense back. Dash shrugged.

"Wait for Fentina, I guess." He suggested as he too made himself comfortable.

The others soon followed suit and begun discussing amongst themselves, mostly about Phantom and if they would see him soon. When a familiar echo-y voice broke through the small chatter.

"For the last time, yes you have to attend the meeting." Phantom's familiar echoing voice carried out.

"But daddy do I have to get dressed up!" Came the voice of an irritated thirteen-year-old.

Now that confused the class. 'Daddy'? They all looked up to see a few figures standing in the doorway to the room Fenton had left through; only he wasn't one of the figures.

The first two were just Manson and Foley standing there.

The third was a girl, about thirteen, in an elegant black dress with white trim around it. She was wearing a solid-white gold tiara with a large emerald in the center, glowing the same color green as her eyes as the white of the tiara almost disappeared in her snowy-white hair.

The fourth was another girl, this time that everyone recognized. She was wearing another elegant dress but with inverted colors and a silver tiara that stood out in her orange hair, with a large sapphire n the center, complimenting her aqua eyes and black diamonds studding the thing, keeping the color-scheme almost completely black-and-white.

The fifth was another they recognized extremely well. The famous, or infamous, Danny Phantom stood there in his HAZMAT suit that was covered by a black robe that had a classy effect to it with white on the edges. He was wearing a crown over his bright white hair mostly made of white gold that had his 'DP' logo on it in black. His green eyes were eying the little girl who closely resembled him.

The whole class gasped in sync as they all whispered the same thing,

"Jazz?"

LINEBREAK

Jazz had just finished making sure Danny and Danielle was dressed properly for the meeting. Or at least as properly as she was going to get them.

Danielle's dress was basically the same as her own, except Dani's was black with white trim. Thee tiara's were different though, with Dani's being solid white gold with emeralds in it and her own being silver with sapphires and black diamond studs.

Danny, however, was forced into a more Kingly outfit. He had practically refused to remove the HAZMAT so the best Jazz could do was conceal it. So she gave him the black robe with white edging to wear along with the crown Clockwork presented him in place of The Crown of Fire. This crown was made of white gold, emerald stones on each point of the crown and the 'DP' logo in black on the front of it.

"Daddy do I really have to attend the meeting?" Dani asked, looking at herself in the mirror.

"For the last time, yes you have to attend the meeting." Danny replied with a sigh.

"But daddy do I have to get dressed up?" Dani continued to protest. Danny laughed rather than being annoyed. He didn't want to be dressed up either.

"Jazz?" Came a very loud whisper from their left.

Team Phantom looked up to see the class was now woken up, staring wide-eyed at them all along with Jack, Maddie and Lancer.

The five teens froze in place as why waited for the questions that were sure to come and they could only hope nothing too big came out.

LINEBREAK

Dash was trying to correctly process what he was seeing. Jazz Fenton hung around with Phantom too? She was almost as bad as Fenton and his Freak Trio! How come all the weirdo's got to hang with Phantom? What was she doing here anyway?

Paulina, however, was paying attention to something different. The little white-haired girl said 'daddy' and the only person there she could've been talking to is Phantom. But Phantom loved her? Why would he have a daughter? Unless those geeks were right and Phantom didn't love her? But that would be impossible! Right?

Lancer was trying hard to process how long they had been in such a deep sleep that the towns' ghostly hero had a daughter. Surely he didn't always have one, right? Had everyone been so blind not to notice he did or had he taken precautions to keep her secret? It would certainly explain why nobodies ever seen her before. At least he hadn't seen her around. Why wouldn't she help her father fight the ghosts?

Maddie's brain was going on overload. Not only was her teenage daughter Jazz here, in Phantom's Palace in the middle of the Ghost Zone chatting with the Ghost Boy, but wearing matching dresses with said Ghost Boy's daughter. Daughter. She hadn't even known it was possible for ghosts to reproduce! Maddie knew right then and there that all, or majority at least, of her previous theories on ghosts were wrong. If something as big as reproduction could happen without them knowing a lot of other things were probably wrong somewhere too.

Jack, meanwhile, was trying to contain himself. He had a granddaughter! And an adorable one at that. He and Maddie were grandparents! This day was easily one of the best days of his life! But-how? Danny was only fifteen and this girl looked at least twelve or thirteen. He was going to wait until they made it back to Amity Park to tell Danny he knew, a decision he reached in the carriage, but he just had to know the story behind his granddaughter. Granddaughter. He still smiled every time he thought about it.

In Valerie's mind, however, there were wheels turning. Jazz Fenton was just, suddenly, standing with Manson, Foley, Phantom and Danielle. Wait, Danielle? What was she doing here and why is she calling Phantom her father? The last time they talked they referred to each other as cousins. And come to think of it when she saw Danielle, in human form, a few months ago on her patrol she said she was staying with her cousin Danny. At first she thought she meant Phantom but then the little girl walked away and back into FentonWorks.

Wait. They did look too much alike to just be cousins. Both wore black and white, both had bright white hair, both had glowing green eyes and both even stood the same way. But Danielle's human form looked nothing like Phantom. It almost even reminded her of… Fenton! The black hair and blue eyes, the red, white and blue color scheme, the space-talk! Now Phantom was here talking to all Danny's friends AND his sister! How had she never seen it before? Danny Fenton/Phantom was a halfa too!

She couldn't hold in a gasp at her new insightful revelation and she drew the attention of all the figures in the doorway straight to her. When she looked into Phantom's- no. Danny's eyes she saw that he knew she knew and practically begging her to keep quiet about it.

She couldn't do anything but nod.

LINEBREAK

"So now that Phantom's here can we start this thing already?" Death asked impatiently. Phantom and Danielle chuckled.

"Not yet, Reaper. We must first make sure everybody is here." Clockwork said floating at the head of the table.

Phantom and Death groaned at the same time, thinking the same thing which was 'Role call again? Really?'.

"Frostbite of the Far Frozen." Clockwork started, a smirk betraying the annoyed look he threw at the halfa and Death.

"Present and accounted for." The yeti proclaimed. Clockwork nodded.

"Lord Mars and Lady Venus of the Space Domain." Clockwork called out, looking to Frostbite's left.

"Both present." Venus spoke up kindly.

"Princess Jasmine Fenton of The Ghost Zone and Earth." Clockwork continued, looking left of Mars.

"Present." Jazz said simply, smiling at the elder.

"The Grim Reaper." Clockwork said simply to his right as Death had no domain.

"Well obviously here." Death said bluntly.

"Princess Dorathea of Avalon." Clockwork spoke, turning to Death's left.

"Present." Dora called dully. Even she didn't see the point in this.

"Princess Danielle Phantom of The Ghost Zone and Earth." Clockwork addressed to Dora's left.

"I'm here." Dani called out. Phantom smiled.

"King Daniel Fenton/Phantom/Phazer of The Ghost Zone and Earth." Clockwork called out finally, looking across to the other end of the table.

"Also present." Phantom paused. "And very bored." He added. Death and Dani both cracked grins and even Mars, Venus, Dora, Frostbite and Jazz smiled. He was pretty sure there was a smirk playing on the time masters face too.

"Now that that's settled can we get on with it?" Death asked impatiently once again.

"Not yet. We have to move to the Grand Conference Hall, remember?" Clockwork said, full out smiling now.

"What? Why did we even have to meet here first if we were just going too move over there after?" Dani asked rhetorically.

"This is the meeting before the meeting, Danielle. We have to meet before the meeting so we know everyone who is going to attend the meeting." Clockwork explained.

"Meet before the meeting before the meeting…" Dani muttered counting on her fingers trying to keep track. Eventually she gave up and just settled for muttering something about a headache and getting a better system for these things.

"Now then. To the Grand Conference Hall." Clockwork said and within and instant they were all in the meeting room of the familiar green room with a round table in the center.

"Teleporting still makes me dizzy." Dani commented, holding her head. Phantom smiled at her as Clockwork's voice called out again.

"This meeting of the Ghost Council is now in session." Clockwork announced to everyone.

"Good. Now what do we do about Vlad?"

LINEBREAK

"You better keep quiet Valerie, or I swear I'll make your life a living hell." Sam threatened the other girl.

Tucker and Sam pulled Valerie off to the side once they noticed she had the pieces together. The others were just in the other room but it was enough space that they could talk privately without being overheard.

"I won't tell anyone I swear but you gotta tell me how. How did it happen? Have they always been the same person?" Valerie whispered, looking at the Goth girl.

"Remember that accident Danny had in his parents lab in the beginning of last year? Ever since then he's been both Fenton and Phantom. And since a few months ago Phazer." Sam told her.

'He's Phazer too? How many lives did this kid lead?' Valerie wondered.

"Are you saying he's always been a good Ghost? What about those bank robberies?" She asked instead.

"One of his enemies had him under mind control. And that mayor thing was another enemies attempt at revenge." Tucker cleared up for her, seeing where she was going.

"This whole time he was good? Duh! Of course he was. Why didn't I see it sooner?" Valerie muttered to herself. The pieces were right in front of her the entire time too!

"He must hate me for everything. I've hunted him for god's sake." Valerie guessed, looking the duo in the eyes again.

"He never blamed you for anything, Val. He knew you were just trying to do the right thing." Tucker informed her.

"How could he not? I've shot at him, almost taken him captive, hunted him regularly and almost gave his, apparently, daughter to Plasmius!" Valerie listed off the top of her head.

"Yeah but he forgave you for everything right when you helped him save Danielle." Sam reminded.

"If you say so." Valerie muttered.

"Look we'll fill you in later but lets get back out there now before they start asking questions." Tucker suggested, earning two nods from the girls.

Tucker soon led the way out back to the group with Sam and Valerie following and questions buzzing in the later girls mind.

'How powerful is he exactly? Does this mean Danny's friends with all those Ghosts? Does anyone else know?' She questioned herself in succession, scanning the room after the last one. If they did know they were hiding it pretty well.

LINEBREAK

'Front row seat to the juicy plots and ploys young Daniel will try and use against me. Priceless.' Vlad thought to himself as he floated invisibly over the round table in the Grand Conference Hall, sitting on the giant celling light hanging down.

"I say we strengthen security around the Palace grounds. Plasmius can't even get close if we have enough people." Venus suggested, some murmurs following immediately.

'Don't need to, I'm already inside.' He thought childishly to himself.

"That's too easy and too simple. Even if we did that he'd find a way past it." Phantom countered.

'Yes I would Little Badger. Yes I would.' Vlad thought.

"How about surrounding the city in a Ghost Shield?" Jazz supplied.

"Then we couldn't leave and neither could Phantom. And it would effectively key the humans in that something was up." Death reminded.

"We could set it to his specific Ecto-signature?" Frostbite provided.

"We don't have his specific Ecto-signature anywhere on file." Dora informed him, remembering that she and Danny had spoken about it in the carriage ride to the city.

"We could try and lure him away. Get Phantom as far away from the city as possible and let him kick the old geysers ass there, you know?" Death advised.

"Well we can't just send him away. He needs to take his class, teacher and our parents home." Jazz said, negating that idea.

'This is great they couldn't keep me out even if I weren't already here!' Vlad cheered mentally.

"There's always the option where we turn him into Walker for breaking the law of attempting to harm the functioning King of the Zone." Mars offered, pointing at Phantom.

"He'd find a way around it, though. That's 'daddy' for you." Danielle said, spitting out the word 'daddy' like it was poisonous to her. And it probably was.

'Well I was a better father than young Daniel would ever be. The boy hasn't said anything for a long time. What's going on in his head?' Vlad questioned himself.

To find answers he turned towards Phantom and what he saw made his blood run cold and Ectoplasm run colder. Phantom was staring directly at him while he was still invisible sitting on the light fixture. It was almost as if his invisibility meant nothing and if the eldest halfa didn't know better he would think he forgot to activate it in the first place. But he did know better. So why was Daniel looking at him despite his current invisible state?

He looked back to see Phantom's green eyes flash brighter, narrow then focus on the youngest halfa. It took all Vlad's self control not to fly away now out of fear his plan was jeopardized. The only thing that kept him still was that he firmly believed that if Daniel was alerted to his presence he would have done something immediately rather than turn a blind eye, even if only for a moment. He wouldn't turn a blind eye, right?

"Look. We can't outwit Vlad. I know, okay, I've tried and it's never worked. All we can really do it make sure everything is locked down tight and any comings and goings are kept track of. If you all want to hang around and keep your eyes peeled I'm not going to stop you but I won't ask you to do it either." Phantom spoke finally after much mutterings.

The young Ghost King's words got approvals from all the Council and soon Clockwork spoke again.

"Thy have reached a decision so this meeting of the Ghost Council is-" Clockwork started only for Phantom to cut him off.

"Hang on Clockwork. I was wondering if I could speak to you all about another matter." Phantom asked. Clockwork nodded and Phantom turned to Jazz. "Take Danielle out into the hallway please and wait for me." He told her.

She was confused but didn't question her baby brother, figuring he knew what he was doing, and took the almost pouting little Ghost Girl out of the room. Vlad left soon after, figuring if it wasn't about him it wasn't worth listening to.

"What did you want to speak with us about, Sir Phantom?" Dora asked, looking at him.

"Its just something Sam, Tucker and I want to get a second opinion on. You know how Sam's recently been practicing with light magic, don't you?" Phantom asked.

For the past two or three months Sam had taken to reading over some magic spells for nothing other than entertainment but imagine Team Phantom's surprise when she suddenly shoots purple from her hands and things start flying around.

Fearing it would put Phantom City and Team Phantom in particular at an even higher risk than they usually were Clockwork had practically demanded it be kept from anyone you wouldn't trust with your life, afterlife or half-life.

Then just because Danny and Tucker enjoyed aggravating Sam more aggravated than she always was they had made it so the only way she could so spells was by preforming them backwards. And here's the kicker; it had to be in Esperanto too. She had been mad at first that they had pretty much ripped away and sort of training wheels she could have had but quickly embraced the challenge, saying it couldn't be harder than dealing with Ghost Powers was for Danny and he got the hang of those pretty quick. Sorta.

The Council nodded.

"Well Jazz said before that Danielle, since she's physically thirteen and mentally six it could effect her pretty bad later in life. She said something about stunting her mental growth? But Tucker made a joke that Sam should reverse Danielle's physical age to that of a six-year-old but Sam said it was impossible. So to settle that the three of us looked through every magic spell book we could get our hands on in Ghost Writers Realm.

"And turns out its not impossible and there's a spell that will de-age anything from people to Ghosts to plants to animals and so on. So we all think it would be best to go through with it. Any advice?" Phantom finished with an exasperate sigh. That was a mouthful.

LINEBREAK

"Why did daddy make us leave?" Dani asked as she and Jazz stood in the hallway waiting for the meeting to be adjourned.

"I'm not sure, Princess." Jazz said with a sigh. Dani's eyes flashed green as she scowled and crossed her arms.

"Don't call me princess." Dani almost growled.

Jazz was torn between laughing and flinching. She couldn't help calling her niece 'Princess' despite her hatred for anything she thought of as 'girly' when she was wearing her gown. Especially since she did look exactly like a Princess in it. But alas, only her father would ever be able to call her 'Princess' and not get a threat immediately afterwards. Instead he'd get a 'Daddy, stop it' and a blushing little Phantom.

"Sorry. Again." Jazz said, rolling her eyes at the little girl.

Jazz stood still as she watched Dani's movements carefully, already knowing what the youngest halfa was about to try and do. She waited until only Dani's front side was visible against the wall on the other side before she cried,

"Danielle Phantom!"

Her aunts cry startled her so bad she dropped her intangibility as she fell out of the wall and stumbled forwards, bumping into the older teens frame. She slowly looked up at her aunt who was half glaring at her.

"How did you know what I was going to do?" Dani asked. She mentally slapped herself after, however, since she only incriminated herself further by asking such a question. Rule one of getting away with stuff; deny everything. How could she forget such a basic rule?

"You forget I study psychology in all my free time, my dear niece. I have psychological profiles for you, Aunt Sam, Uncle Tuck, Johnny, Kitty, Grandma Ida, Ember, myself and even your father. Most of the other Ghosts too." Jazz reminded her.

"Rookie mistake; never mess with the gal who gets inside your head." Dani muttered to herself as her green eyes found their way back to the doors.

"This meeting of the Ghost Council is now officially adjourned!" The princesses heard Clockwork's voice carry out.

Not a moment later the doors swung open and Phantom and Death were floating through the open door way with their arms open like they'd never see outside a meeting room again. Dora and Frostbite followed after but Clockwork and the Ghosts of Space didn't exit at all.

"Clockwork went back to his Tower and Mars and Venus felt their job was done here. Frostbite, Dora and Death are gonna hang out here for a while though, right guys?" Phantom told them, seeing the girls' confused faces.

"Indeed, Sir Phantom." Dora agreed.

"But of course Great One!" Frostbite boomed.

"Where else would I have to be, Phantom?" Death chimed in, poking Phantom's back with the blunt end of his scythe.

Phantom smirked as his whole scythe became coated in ice and dropped to the floor like a ton of cement bricks. Everybody watched as Death, quite humorously, tried to pick it up off the ground and Frostbite grinned at Phantom's progress with his ice powers.

"What did you ask us to leave for?" Dani asked Phantom as she floated onto his shoulders and made herself comfortable. By now everyone, save Death, was heading back to the Palace.

"I just wanted to get a second opinion on something. Don't worry, you'll find out soon enough. I just want a definite answer before I ask you." Phantom answered.

"Ask me? You want my opinion?" Dani asked, surprised.

"'Course I do, princess. I wouldn't do anything that involves you without your consent." Phantom said, holding onto Dani's feet to keep her stable on his shoulders. Dani seemed to ignore the 'involves you' part in favor of saying,

"Daddy, stop it. M'not princess." She mumbled as she looked down at her fathers' head to cover her blush. Phantom rolled his eyes.

'She's such a daddy's girl.' Jazz though, looking at the two. She noticed Danny slowly reach up and tickle Dani's sides while she was distracted looking down, causing her to look straight up and break into giggles. 'Not that there's anything wrong with that.' She finished as they entered the main room of the Palace.

LINEBREAK

"Yes Paulina, for the thousandth time, Phantom has a daughter!" Sam cried, growing annoyed.

"But-but he loves me! Me!" Paulina replied defiantly, refusing to believe what Sam was insinuating.

"Maybe he's not involved with the mother anymore, Paulina." Star reasoned, trying to save her best friend from a mental breakdown.

"Yeah. Maybe you're right. No mother would let her kid wear that dress in any other color except pink." Paulina said, flipping her hair back.

"Let's get a few things straight." Phantoms' daughters' voice echoed. She became visible right in front of Paulina, her eyes blazing.

"First, my aunt made this dress so don't diss it no matter how girly it is. Second, you couldn't be with daddy even if he liked you at all. He's too good for you. And third, never EVER tell me to wear ANYTHING pink!" Dani ranted, floating higher with each point until she was above everyone.

Majority of the people were frightened, fearing Phantom's daughter inherited his strength not his even-tempered-attitude. Only Tucker, Sam and Valerie weren't scared, knowing Dani wouldn't actually hurt somebody and Jack who smiled, thinking 'She'll definitely fit into the Fenton Family with a way with words like that!'

"Danielle Jean Phantom! Stop scaring the humans this instant!" Phantom ordered; although it sounded more like a sarcastic order than an actual one, earning light laughter form Jazz and Dani, who floated down to obey gravity once again.

"Jasmine Fenton! What on Earth are you doing here, in the Ghost Zone in the Capitol in Phantom's palace with Phantom?" Maddie shrieked.

She had meant to call her daughter out on that earlier but Phantom had taken his daughter and her daughter away to whatever 'meeting' that was supposed to happen before she could break from her stupor and by the time she did only Tucker and Sam remained behind, saying the others would be back eventually.

Jazz visibly flinched. She knew this was coming and she still didn't have a reasonable excuse. Her and Danny may do it all the time and Danny may have gotten a little, a lot, better at lying she hadn't and she still didn't like it. And in her shocked state she remembered her baby brother's words "don't make it more complicated than it needs to be." He had said. Simple. She could do that.

"I was, erm, borrowing an, um, cup of sugar?" She said awkwardly. "That's it. Borrowing sugar from our dimensional neighbors. Hey Daniele time to go!" Jazz rushed out hurriedly, ushering the little Phantom from the premises.

"When we get back home and you'll never hear then end of this Jasmine! Danny's in enough trouble for being in here to look for a present so don't think you're going to get off Scott-free, young lady! At least your brother had a good reason!" Maddie called after the retreating girl.

She didn't dare make a move to follow her, however, because she knew she didn't have any idea what else was in this Palace. Could be pillows, could be prisoners or could be pirates. Who knew? The threat at Jazz made her remember her earlier threat to Danny so she turned to remind her second-born of his punishment but to her surprise his raven-hair was not in the mess of heads in her vision.

"Jack? Where's Danny?" She asked her husband worriedly. Jack, now knowing his sons secret, stayed calm since he knew exactly where he was but remembered his wife didn't.

"Relax honey, I'm sure he's here somewhere." Jack reassured her, looking around in fake-search. He quickly changed the subject entirely and turned to Phantom. "Phantom. I wanted to ask you if I could have a word with you in private and ask you some questions about Ghost Culture. Could I?" He said in one breath.

Although confused, Phantom nodded and began walking out the only doorway they've seen anybody use since they've been here. Maddie attempted to follow but Jack motioned for her to stay, telling her to watch for Danny for him, as he followed Phantom out.

Once alone, and sure they weren't being eavesdropped on, Phantom spoke.

"I know you don't only want to know about Ghost Culture so what was the main reason we're here?" Phantom asked. His voice held no traces of hostility, despite they're past incidents, only curiosity and confusion.

"I never was a good liar, now was I? You would know, right Danny-boy?"

Wow so long chapter here.

Along with this update I have also edited some small things here and there throughout the story but the main change is the Theme in Chapter One. Since I wanted to keep it vague when I wrote it originally because I didn't know the exact direction this was going to take but now that there really isn't a doubt I've decided to change it to better-fit the story so let me know how you think of the new re-vamped one.

Yea I lied. My non-Pokemon story isn't my priority since I'm having a problem with the perfect way to finish the chapter so I decided to come back to it. Next update will most likely be "Wizards in Phantom City" for all you crossover fans

To recap; a little DxE romance fluff, Danielle's relationship with Danny is made obvious, the dreaded meeting has come and gone, Sam is revealed to be a sorceress, a little Father/Daughter moment in there for you all, Dani calling Paulina out and Jack works up his nerve to confront Danny.

Next chapter; Danny and Jack talk about recent events, The class learns about Ghosts from Phantom himself and the other Ghost Council members, the other members of Team Phantom must do some errands and Vlad's presence is discovered.

Please review and tell me how much you loved/hated this chapter along with any other edits you notice. Hope you enjoyed this EXTRA LONG CHAPTER just for you guys!
