Are you ready for the last chapter?! I hope I tied up all the ends... ENJOY!

Athena had to stay in the Healing Chambers for a few days after she had returned. Everyday Loki and Nari were both there. It was so nice to finally spend time with her son. He still seemed upset that he was lied too, but he accepted it.

Loki held her hand constantly, never letting go.

One day Loki was sitting next to her bed when she noticed that he was staring at her in amazement.

"What is it Loki? Why are you looking at me like that?" Athena asked, a blush creeping up her cheeks.

"Because you are amazing. And I don't deserve you." He replied softly, before looking away.

"Don't make me slap you, Loki." She warned.

The corner of his mouth pulled up in a slight smile.

"It's just that you deserve someone so much better than me." He admitted, looking down at his hands.

"Loki, never say that again." Athena scolded sternly. "I don't deserve someone like you, but yet here we are."

He smiled slightly, before looking up into her eyes. "It's just that, me being what I am…." She saw the pain flash across his face. "you still chose me."

He meant him being a Frost Giant.

Athena had discovered this not long after he was "dead".

Thor and Odin came to speak with Freya and her, telling them the truth about Loki's origins.

It had shocked Athena, but it did not change the way she felt about him.

Athena smiled at him. "I don't care about that, Loki. You could be an elf and I wouldn't care. I love you." She finished honestly.

Loki just stared at her. "And that is why you are so amazing. I know that I don't deserve you, but I will do my best, and maybe one day I will be worthy of you."

Athena grabbed his hand. "You already are."

He smiled and leaned forward to kiss her, but then the doors opened and Odin stepped in.

Athena sat back and looked away embarrassedly, though Athena could see the look of amusement on Loki's face.

Odin saw that he interrupted something, but he ignored it.

"I wanted to speak to Athena about her duty as a Healer." He spoke loudly.

Athena looked up at him, her eyes showing a hint of fear. "What about?"

"You know about the rules, Athena. I cannot make an exception for you. You know that." He said gently.

Athena sighed. "I know. I just wish there was something, anything that was possible for us."

Odin smiled slightly. "I did have an idea though."

Athena and Loki looked up at him hopefully.

"The rule says you cannot marry. But it does not say that you cannot love someone." Odin said.

Loki looked at her with a smile. "We don't have to marry. It seems as if we already are."

Athena nodded in agreement.

Odin smiled. "You can still be Healer, Athena. But you may not marry Loki."

Athena smiled widely, feeling as light as a feather with happiness. "I understand."

Odin nodded before giving her a small smile before leaving the room.

Athena and Loki looked at each other with a smile.

One year later

Athena hobbled down the hallway, towards Loki's and hers room.

It was late, and she had just said goodnight to Nari.

She opened the door, and saw him at his desk reading. Without a shirt.

Athena held her breath, feeling the heat rise up her cheeks.

Loki glanced up from his book, and when he saw her, smiled.

"Come in, Athena." He said, his voice somewhat husky.

Athena let out the breath slowly, closing the door behind her.

Loki stood up and walked towards her, not bothering to put on a shirt.

Athena's eyes wandered down his chest, before she caught herself and looked up into his eyes again.

He smirked and she saw amusement glinting in his eyes. "Like what you see?"

Athena opened her mouth to say something, but the only thing that came out was a soft whimper.

He let out a soft chuckle before walking towards her.

She kept her eyes one his, forcing herself not to look at his perfect body.

He reached out and grabbed her hand in his, holding it gently. "Is Nari asleep?"

Athena managed a nod.

"Are you done for tonight?"

Another nod.

"Good." He seemed to purr.

He waved his hand towards the door, and she heard the lock click into place.

He turned her hand palm up, making the scar there visible. He brought her hand up to his mouth and pressed a kiss there, right on top on her scar.

Athena watched him, not able to move or speak. He still had the ability to do this to her.

His eyes drifted up to meet hers, and she saw the smile in his eyes.

Then his arm drifted up her arm, his fingers running over the long scar there as well.

He kissed her wrist, and then pressed soft, gentle kisses all the way up her arm, kissing along the scar marks that would never go away.

Athena's eyes closed and her head rolled back when he reached her shoulder.

He wrapped his other arm around her waist, bringing her closer to him.

His kisses continued on her neck, though he spent more time there, pressing more feather light kisses along her throat and over her pulse.

He kissed the faint line that was on her neck from when her neck was slightly cut. The scar was not that visible, but Loki knew it was there.

Athena let out a soft groan of frustration.

She felt his smile against her neck. He knew she was in charge, and he loved to tease her.

Then, his kisses continued up onto her cheek, where another faint scar was on her cheek bone, from when she was punched. It was all but gone now, but Loki kissed it anyway.

Athena's hands finally moved, sliding up his bare chest, before stopping on his shoulders, trying to pull him closer to her, but he would not come closer.

Loki chuckled at her frustration.

He continued kissing her face, before moving down towards her mouth.

Just when she could barely wait any longer, he placed his lips over hers.

She let out a groan of appreciation.

His lips were warm and soft, while his arms wrapped themselves around her waist, pulling her against his bare chest.

Athena's arms wrapped about his shoulder, and somehow tangled themselves in his hair.

He deepened the kiss, and she responded enthusiastically, matching it with her own.

She wove her hands in his hair, tugging gently. Now it was his turn to groan.

Athena smiled. She loved it when she could please him as well.

His hands came up to cup her face, holding it as if he were holding something precious. It was gentle, yet also strong in a way that he was holding something that he never wanted to let go.

He made her back up until her legs hit the edge of the bed, and he gently pushed her down onto her back, before pulling away, leaving Athena desperate for more.

His eyes were blazing with desire and need, but also love.

"I love you Athena." He said, his voice husky.

Athena didn't know if she could speak, but opened her mouth to answer.

Surprising, she was able to reply. "And I love you. Always and forever."

"Always and forever." He agreed with a smile, before leaning down to kiss her again.

And so they did.
