Woop! I am sorry for the late update! A month and eight days? I wasn't trying to do that... Anyways, this chapter wasn't edited, so I'm sorry for that.
So, thank you for the reviews, favorites, and follows as always! I always appreciate them! And we can get on with the story since I don't have much to say.
Enjoy!
"I'm tired…" Euphy mumbled as she and a sleeping Kaguya leaned against C.C. in the cold night. "We've been filming all day and then we still have to change our makeup and hair for the last part."
C.C. nodded her head in agreement, placing her slice of pizza down on the table they were sitting at. "I feel like my fingers are about to fall off," she replied.
"You and me both," a voice joined in.
Euphy and C.C. looked up to see Shirley walking towards them with a coat on over her filming set clothes. The sixteen year old sat in the available chair next to Euphy before leaning her head on the girl's shoulder. "Kallen's still filming her part."
"It's been fifteen minutes, though," the pink haired girl said.
"It's late and we all want to go home, so she's probably frustrated and barely listening to the directors. Ah, poor them." C.C. chuckled in amusement. "They have to deal with her moods when she gets tired and irritated instead of us."
There was silence between the three girls for a few minutes after that before the voice of their manager was heard. Following behind her was Kallen, who looked like she would murder anyone in a minute. "Did you all even get any filming done?" she asked with a smirk.
"C.C.!" Euphy grabbed her arm in warning.
"C.C., I swear to God, I'm going to kick your a-" Kallen had started, but was cut off by Villeta clearing her throat and casting a glare at the green haired teen in front of her.
"None of that tonight, C.C. It's late and we're all tired," Villeta said sternly. "Also, it's been decided that we'll film the last part tomorrow, so go back to the dressing rooms and get your clothes and makeup removed."
"Yes!" Euphy cheered, causing Kaguya to jump out of her sleep and fall out of her chair. The girl didn't bother to move from the ground and Villeta sighed tiredly.
"Yeah, let's go home."
Lelouch chuckled as Rolo tried to decide if he was going to button up his shirt or leave a few buttons undone. He had been standing in the room for the last five minutes after asking Lelouch who had only responded by saying, "It's whatever looks good to you."
Finally, after watching his brother struggle a little more, Lelouch stood up from his seat on the bed and grabbed Rolo's wrist, placing them on his sides. "Just leave it unbuttoned, Rolo. Besides, don't you have a date to get to you?"
Rolo scoffed under his breath. "I barely had a choice in this date."
"I think Kaguya is just very straightforward," Lelouch laughed, ushering his brother out of his room and downstairs. "Plus, C.C. said she's excited, so be nice to her and treat her well."
"Why are you telling me this when you haven't even properly asked C.C. out on a date?"
A dark red blush crossed the raven haired man's face. "W-What?!" he stuttered. "I don't-"
"I see the way you look at her Lelouch." Rolo rolled his eyes, not seeing how his older brother didn't notice how obvious he was around the woman. "I haven't seen you smile the way you do around her in the longest. She makes you happy."
Lelouch suddenly found the floor very interesting to look at. " Yeah, I guess she does…" he spoke quietly.
Rolo pat his brother's arm lightly before grabbing his jacket and moving towards the door. "It's two forty-seven already. I have to get going. Have fu-" He stopped."… What are you doing again today?"
"Seventh Symphony finally have a free slot in their schedule, so I'm going to pay Nunnally a surprise visit with them." He smiled to himself, knowing his sister would be more than happy. "Then… I thought maybe I would visit Mom and Dad."
"Oh."
Lelouch smiled sadly. "It's okay. I haven't been since the funeral, so I think it's about time I finally pay them a visit."
"Lelouch, I can-"
"It's fine. You go enjoy your date."
Lelouch knew Rolo was worried, but he was fine. He wasn't going to be weak. He was visiting his parents' graves only and that didn't require anyone watching him. Like Cornelia told him, everything was fine now.
Or everything was as fine as it could be.
Rolo sighed. "Just do what makes you happy. Don't hurt yourself."
"I won't," Lelouch assured him.
The only visitor C.C. had at the music store during the weekday was Suzaku and today he seemed a little off. He was awfully quiet - something different from his usual endless talking. He was sitting at the piano, a pad and pen in his hand, but C.C. was sure that he was only blankly staring at the paper. He hadn't moved to write anything in the last twenty minutes.
This caused her to frown.
Moving from the spot where she was standing behind the counter, C.C. started to walk towards Suzaku, finally deciding that she was going to see what had her friend so unusually quiet. She stopped right next to him and put a hand on his head. He looked up at her with tired, sad eyes and she her frown deeped. She had noticed how his eyes were slightly puffy when he came into the store, but she didn't ask.
She removed her hand from his brown locks and took out her signature pad. She scribbled in it quickly before showing it to him. "Is something wrong?"
Suzaku gave her a forced smile in response. "Nothing is wrong. I'm just thinking," he told her, but C.C. didn't believe him. She knew all about forced smiles. She was almost an expert when it came to them.
She looked down at his hand to notice it was shaking, his hold on the pen loosening the worst it got. She wrote in her pad once again. "You're lying," she stated.
"I'm not. I said-"
"What's wrong?" she mouthed to him and he looked back down at his lap, gritting his teeth and fisting his hands into his jacket that was laying across his lap. She turned his face back to her and gave him a worried look. "Tell me."
Suzaku shook his head before finally croaking out in a raspy voice, "Have you… Have you ever hurt a friend and caused them immense pain because of a lie? A lie that you told because you were… You were blinded by anger?"
C.C. stayed silent, causing the brown haired man to keep going. "What if it hurt their family? What if ruined their life when they were already going through enough pain to last them a lifetime? What if…" He swallowed. "What if the guilt could only eat away at your heart?"
Tears started to form in his emerald eyes. "Does that make you a bad person?" Suzaku whispered as his tears spilled fast and hard.
C.C. didn't know what his questions were about, so the only thing she could do was wrap her arms around his shoulders and lean his head against her chest. He brought his arms up around her waist as he cried hard into her chest. "I-I feel so confused…"
The green haired woman unfortunately couldn't give her friend any words of comfort as he continued to cry. She rested her chin on his head and ran her fingers through his brown locks. She had never seen him like this before and she wondered what incident in the past was still hurting him. She knew what it was like to have something from your past still hurt you because she herself was still hurting from Euphy's passing.
They stayed like that for a few more minutes before Suzaku hesitantly pulled away, his emerald eyes red and puffy. He now looked even more tired than he did before. C.C. wiped at his tear stained face and gave him a small smile. She started to write in her pad again and showed him the words she had written.
"I think you should go home and rest," she suggested.
"I'm… I'm fine… I'd rather be here with you…" he mumbled.
She shook her head. "Then, at least go rest in the back. I'll still be here when you wake up."
Reluctantly, Suzaku agreed with her and she gave him another small smile before once again writing in her signature pad. "If you want to talk about it, I'm here."
"I don't think I can," Suzaku told her quietly, hugging himself.
She only kissed him on the forehead in response, completely missing how red the action had caused his face to turn.
"Nunnally, I'm so sorry…" Lelouch apologized, though he was really more annoyed with the girls that were gushing over his younger sister like she was the most fascinating thing to they had ever laid their eyes on.
The violet eyes teen chose to ignore her older brother, excitedly talking with the members of Seventh Symphony.
Lelouch couldn't help the small smile that had crossed his face at the happiness that was clearly present in his younger sister's face. This is what he wanted to see instead of her being constantly worried over him or thinking about their parents. Even if she was sick, he'd do anything to make sure she was happy and that smile was on her face until… Until that time.
"Wah, you're so sweet, Nunnally!" Scarlet gushed. She turned to Lelouch with a flat look. "Learn from her."
This caused the raven haired man to shoot a glare at her.
"I think Lelouch is sweet," Erin argued.
Dia snorted. "Well, yeah. You only think that because- Ouch!"
"That is not anyone else's business," Scarlet hissed at the older girl after punching her in the arm. With that, she turned back to Nunnally. " When our new album comes out, you'll be one of the first people to receive a copy."
Nunnally shook her head. "Don't do that. I'll wait with everyone else." She loved Seventh Symphony, but she'd rather wait to get it.
"No, it's okay. Lelouch told us how much you really loved us and we really appreciate that," Victoria grinned. "We'll do this just this once."
"You're also sweet," Nunnally smiled at Victoria, reaching over and patting the blonde girl on her head. Victoria hid her face in her hands with a blush from the compliment.
"Girls, time's up. You have to leave now," Lelouch announced, looking at his watch. Their manager said they had only twenty minutes to visit and it seemed like that time had passed so quickly, even if he mostly sat silent during the conversation between the eight girls.
Seventh Symphony collectively let out a disappointed, "Aaawww…" which caused Lelouch to chuckle. "You know, you're allowed to visit again if you want. That is, only if your schedule is free."
"It's already enough with you all taking the time out of your schedule to come and pay me visit," Nunnally told them. "For that, I appreciate it."
"Nunnally!" Suzy cried and all seven girls enveloped the eighteen year old into a group hug.
After saying their goodbyes, Seventh Symphony's manager had come up to escort them back to the cars. It took a little time to unattach Victoria from Nunnally, but with the threat that he'd make sure she'd never see either of them again, the blonde had quickly removed herself from her. Lelouch decidedly ignored the middle finger she had shot up at him.
When he closed the door and turned back to Nunnally, he saw his younger sister tightly clutching at her chest with sweat rolling down her forehead. "Nunnally!" he exclaimed, running over to her. "I'm going to get-"
"N-no." She put a hand up to stop him from doing anything she didn't want him to. "I-I'm fine… It's just pain again. It's normal."
"You have a heart condition, Nunnally. Nothing that ever happens isn't normal," he voiced worriedly. "Please, I'll call Dr.-"
"It'll pass in a second," Nunnally grit through her teeth while leaning over.
"No! I won't lose you like I did everyone else!" Lelouch snapped, causing her to look up at her brother with wide eyes.
"L-Lelouch…"
"I'm getting Dr. Shawla and that's it. No more arguing." Lelouch stormed out of the room, shaking all over.
He had already lost his parents and his best friend. He already knew his sister's fate was to come in a short time, but it's the last thing he wanted to think about. If it was possible that she could survive, he'd do anything to make sure she'd get better.
"Lelouch, are you okay?"
The raven haired man looked up to see the exact Indian doctor he was looking for. He shook his head in response and desperately grabbed on to the sleeve of her white jacket. "Nunnally had another attack."
The doctor nodded, rushing into the room and calling for a nurse to follow her in. "We have to give her another checkup. Until then, please go home and come back tomorrow. The nurses and I will be monitoring her the rest of the day."
"I'm not-"
"Just for a few hours. You can even come back and visit tonight if you want."
Lelouch was hesitant, but nodded his head in agreement eventually. Dr. Shawla gave him a small smile before going to join the nurse in the room. He stood in the hall against the wall for a few minutes until he could move to go to his car.
He had to go visit his parents next, anyway.
…
When Lelouch arrived at the grave site, he walked to the very back of the cemetery to where his parents' graves were sitting. He bent down on his knees and placed the tulips he had bought down on the front of his mother's grave and roses on his father's. His hand lingered on his mother's as she was the one he had especially come to see.
He wanted to talk to her.
"How are you doing, Mom?" he asked softly. "I know I haven't visited since the funeral last year and I'm… I'm terribly sorry for that. I just couldn't bring myself to do it after the accident happened. I don't think I was deserving to come see you… I wasn't-I wasn't a good son."
"I loved you so much… You tried to help me… And all I did was push you away. Even after that happened, I rarely came to visit you because of all the guilt. I wasn't deserving to be you or Dad's son. I didn't realize how much you cared about me until you were gone… You had been the only one beside me at that time and I treated you like you were invisible to me."
Lelouch wiped at his eyes, trying to stop any incoming tears from falling. "I'm so sorry."
"Lelouch."
The fifteen year old looked over at his mother who was sitting in her arm chair in the living room and casting him a firm, disapproving glare. "Where have you been?" she demanded.
"At school."
"Your teacher called and said you weren't in the second half of school. This is the fifth time in three weeks." she gripped the arm of the chair. "Where did you go? Don't lie to me."
Lelouch shrugged dismissively as he looked down at the floor while shifting his school bag on his shoulder. He couldn't lie, but he didn't have to tell the full truth. "I was with Luciano. We went to go fool around."
Marianne's glare hardened. "I told you I don't like that Luciano boy. And I know you're lying. You're the last person in this house to ever just "fool" around. I'm going to repeat myself again, where did you go?"
"Why would it matter to you?" he shot back. "You're never worried about what I do. You won't even bother to look at my photography."
"I'm a busy woman and I never worry because I expect you to obey me, Lelouch. If you aren't in school, of course I'm going to wonder," Marianne told him. She stood up from her seat and walked over to him. She grabbed his chin and turn his face up to her. "Lelouch, I'm warning you now. Stop whatever it is that you're doing when you aren't in school now."
With that, she walked past him and up the stairs.
…
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Lamperouge. He refuses to speak," Cornelia apologized to the woman as she led her to Lelouch's holding cell.
When Cornelia moved to grab the keys from her belt, Marianne put a hand up, motioning for the girl to stop. "Just leave us for a moment."
Cornelia nodded and left the mother and son in the quiet room.
"When did you start illegally gambling?"
Lelouch didn't answer her.
Marianne let out an irritated sigh, but cast her son a sad look. "Not talking to me won't get you out of any trouble, Lelouch. You didn't come home last night and only for the police to give me a call at four AM and tell me that you were caught illegally gambling with that Luciano boy."
Once again, the fifteen year old didn't answer her.
"Lelouch, please… Don't do this. Stop all of this before it gets any worse."
"Why would I?" he mumbled.
"Lelouch, I don't know anything about this new crowd you've been hanging around, but they aren't good news. Even Suzaku is worried about you."
Lelouch scoffed. "He's too busy with his new girlfriend to even be worried about what I do."
"He's your best friend. He cares."
Lelouch looked up at his mother, revealing his bruised face and lip dried with blood. She let out a small gasp from behind the rails. "Lelouch, what-what happened? Who did this?"
"Luciano wasn't happy that I refused to be his lapdog, so he and the rest of the gang did this," he chuckled darkly. "Funny because I'm the moneymaker among us."
"Dear… If your father finds out about this-"
"He already thinks I'm a disgrace. It wouldn't matter."
"Lelouch...:"
…..
Marianne looked at her son in deep concern as he lied unconscious in the hospital bed. She looked back at her husband who only had a deep frown upon his face. He put a hand on her shoulder before turning around and walking out the room, just leaving her and her sleeping son.
That meant they'd be having a talk about this once they went back home.
The raven haired woman ran a hand through her son's messy hair. "What did I do wrong, Lelouch?" she muttered.
Rakshata had said he had bruised ribs and a sprained ankle, but he would be fine. He had passed out from exhaustion and the intense pain of injuries, even though he had tried to make it seem like he was completely fine. She said he would most likely be up in a few hours. Maybe earlier if she was lucky.
She sighed just as the door opened and in came Suzaku in a white shirt, black pajama pants, and a blue jacket. He looked like he had just jumped out of bed and ran to the hospital, which caused a small smile to cross her face. "Suzaku."
"Mrs-Mrs. Lamperouge!" Suzaku closed the door behind him while still slightly out of breath. "Is he okay? My dad got the call from you and he said you were trying to reach me and at first he said I wasn't going anywhere, but then he said Lelouch was in the hospital and I tried to get here as fast as I could on feet because I can't drive and-"
"Suzaku, he's okay." Marianne knew Suzaku started rambling on when he was worried, especially about Lelouch.
The brown haired teen dropped himself in the other seat next to the Lelouch and said, "Thank goodness."
"He told me a few days ago that you wouldn't be worried about him because of your new girlfriend," Marianne told him with a small smile. "I guess he was wrong."
"I have been ignoring him, haven't I?" Suzaku looked down at the hospital floor guiltly.
"It's not your fault, sweetheart. He's just been… Well, I don't know what he's been feeling or doing lately." Marianne squeezed her wrist. "He was doing so well and then that Luciano boy… Suzaku, do you know anything about him?"
Suzaku's eyes narrowed at the sound of the one person he had a deep distaste for. "He's been around since middle school. He's always had this weird interest in Lelouch and I'm not sure what it's about. He caught Lelouch's attention because of his interest in chess, but when Lelouch started coming back bruised and injured and getting arrested… Something is weird, Mrs. Lamperouge, and I'm worried."
Marianne shook her head. "I am, too, but he won't talk to me. I keep trying to get him to open up to me and he's just closing himself off. I know I seem like I don't pay any attention to him, but I do… I'm just busy and I can't give him as much attention as he needs."
"I'm sorry."
"No need to apologize," the woman told him softly. "Just do me a favor and keep a watch on him while at school. Also, do what you can to keep as far away from that Luciano boy as you can. Until I find out more about him, I want him as far away from my son as possible."
Marianne and Suzaku hadn't realized Lelouch was awake the whole conversation.
…
"Lelouch!"
"I don't care!"
"You have been nothing but a disgrace to this family! I thought we were doing something right, but you're just an ungrateful bastard!" Charles yelled at his son who was glaring dangerously at his father.
Marianne silently watched the exchange between her husband and son from around the corner. She kept telling herself to interfere, but her feet wouldn't move. It wasn't until Lelouch had stormed out the door that she ran back to her room and hurriedly put a jacket on before running outside after him. She ignored the calls of her husband.
"Lelouch!" she called out.
When had he learned to run so fast?
"Lelouch!" Marianne caught her son's wrist and turned him towards her. "I don't know where you're going or where you were planning to go, but don't leave!"
The raven haired teenager struggled to get out of his mother's grip as he yelled, "Away from here! I can't stand being in the same house as dad! I'm not the son he wants, so what's the point!"
"Lelouch!" Marianne yelled over him, causing his struggling to come to a stop. "Just… Just please come back home. There's been too many nights like these lately. You leaving the house and going who knows where. I'm worried about you, sweetie. Please."
"Mom, I don't want to-"
"Or we could stay at the Kururugi's tonight. Me and you. Just as long as I'm close to you and I know where you are." Genbu said their house was always open to them.
Lelouch didn't give his mother an answer. He only silently wrapped his arms around her and laid his head on her chest. She placed her chin on top of his head and sighed. "Just let me help you, Lelouch," she whispered.
…
Marianne placed an alcohol pad on Lelouch's leg, causing him to hiss in pain and jerk his leg away. She yanked it back towards her and placed the alcohol pad back on it, keeping a firm hold onto his leg, so she wouldn't lose hold of it. "It shouldn't hurt that much, Lelouch…"
She knew it hurt that much when he came home injured and in pain again.
"Lelouch, you already know I can't keep taking you to the hospital or otherwise they'll start questioning me. What is it about that Luciano boy that you keep following him around? You've never been the follower type at all… I'm worried, Suzaku's worried, and you won't tell me anything, Lelouch."
"He was my friend."
The raven haired woman barely heard him and frowned deeply. "This boy isn't your friend and he never was. Friends don't let you get into fights, or beat you up themselves, or make you commit crimes and get arrested. Is he blackmailing you?"
"No…"
"Then what?" Marianne pushed as she wrapped the gauze around his leg. "This has been going on too long, Lelouch. If we have to bail you out of jail again, there's no telling what your father is going to do this time. He's already threatened to send you off somewhere else."
"I don't want to talk about this," Lelouch grumbled, putting his leg down once his mother was finished. He rolled his pants leg down and moved to stand up, but his mother put a firm hand on his thigh to keep him from moving.
"You can't go anywhere by yourself with that leg," she told him.
"I'm fine!" he insisted, standing up. The minute he took a step forward, his leg gave out and Marianne only gave him a smirk.
…
"Luciano, I don't want to do this…" Lelouch whispered as the older teen handed him a knife.
"It's alright," Luciano smirked as he wrapped an arm around Lelouch's waist and used his other to point towards the man smoking on the bench. "Just injure him a little and get my money back."
"Luciano, if you want your money back, I can just play a game of chess to settle it. That's what we've always done." Lelouch could handle gambling, but not this. He wasn't in this to hurt people, whether they were innocent on not. "Why the change now…?"
"Because I'm your only friend, right? And friends do anything for each other."
The raven haired teen closed his eyes, shuddering at the touch of the one who was supposedly his friend. "Suzaku is my friend, too…" Lelouch mumbled.
"But didn't you say-"
"I didn't say anything!" he snapped, throwing the knife to the ground and glaring dangerously at Luciano. "This isn't what we agreed on!"
"Huh, did we agree on anything in the first place?" Luciano smirked, tightly taking a hold of Lelouch's wrist.
"None of this was supposed to go past the gambling."
"You didn't seem to mind."
"I've been arrested multiple times because of you! Friends don't lie on each other!"
Luciano gave Lelouch a fake pout. "I only lied, so you could get out and come back to me. If I'm locked up, there's no one to lead the rest of you… And there's no one to be your friend."
Lelouch shook his head as he backed up against the brick wall in the alley. He had friends… Good friends… Luciano wasn't a good friend… Was he? He wasn't in need of any friends like that. "There's Suzaku," he muttered.
"That bullshit again?" Luciano let out a bark of laughter as he grabbed a fistfull of Lelouch's hair and leaned his forehead against the younger boy's. Lelouch felt highly uncomfortable with Luciano basically leaning his whole body up against him. "You're amusing."
It took Lelouch every excuse he could think of to explain to his mother the dark bruise on his face and around his wrist.
…..
"So, are you done?" Lelouch heard his mother ask.
"Done with what?" the seventeen year old replied.
"You've been- You haven't been hanging out with that Luciano boy. It's been almost a year," Marianne pointed out. "What happened to him?"
"I cut him off. He wasn't good for me," he answered as he cleaned his camera lenses.
Of course his mother noticed him coming home with less injuries, smiling more, and spending more time with people that were good for him. Not ones who messed with his head or made him feel guilty for wanting to do right, not wrong.
"That's… Good." His mother's voice was full of relief.
A few months later, her voice would no longer be filled with relief. Only pain, regret, and misery because she thought she failed him as a mother.
"You were the best mother one could have." He smiled tearfully at the grave. "I know you might think otherwise, but you did what you could and… Nunnally, Rolo, and I really appreciate that."
…
Kaguya pouted as Rolo turned his face away from small piece of cake on her fork. "Come on! Just taste it! There's nothing embarrassing about it," she told him.
A dark red blush was present on his face as he leaned back further. "K-Kaguya! This isn't the proper place to do this!"
"I'm trying to let you taste my cake."
"Why don't you just let me use my own fork? This is inappropriate."
"What's inappropriate about feeding you cake?"
"It's in public around other people."
"We're in a cafe."
"Kaguya!"
"Fine, fine, fine." The eighteen year huffed in disgruntlement.
Rolo had been acting a bit weird on their date so far. It's like his mind was completely somewhere else and she didn't know why. It was annoying her because she really liked him, but if he was going to continue to act like this, she couldn't stand continuing the rest of this date.
So taking a deep breath, Kaguya asked, "Are you okay, Rolo? You seem out of it."
She saw the way he froze slightly. He opened his mouth and Kaguya glared at him, telling him that it was no use lying now. Rolo sighed tiredly. "I'm just-I'm just worried about my older brother. He's been through some things and I… I just don't like leaving him alone. Ever since our parents died, he hasn't had anyone there for him."
The black haired teen nodded in understanding.
C.C. was that way for awhile after Euphemia had died. Not only could she not talk nor sing, but one of her closest friends ended up dead. She barely ate, would cry by herself when she thought no one was around, wouldn't clearly pay attention to things and put herself in danger, and would have days where she would just lock herself up in her room. There were many days where her, Villeta, Kallen, and Shirley would have to take turns watching her. It wasn't until a year after Euphemia's death did C.C. fully come to terms with it and the loss of her voice.
"I… Well, you met C.C. when we were at the hospital last week. My other friends and I use to constantly worry about her because of her grievance over the lost of one of our friends. She was basically our sister and… It didn't do her or us any good,"Kaguya told him, smiling sadly. "So if you feel you need to go back to Lelouch, it's okay.
Rolo shook his head slowly. "No, I'm not." He couldn't do that to her. "I'm sure you've been looking forward to this date and I'm sorry for not paying any attention. I'm just worried because I haven't been around in so long."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah… Besides, I was kind of looking forward to this date myself," Rolo finally admitted, looking away with a small blush on his face.
"Kind of?"
"You didn't give me much of a choice."
A blush appeared on Kaguya's face also as she sunk down in her chair. "I'm sorry for that… I was excited."
"It's alright."
Rolo gave Kaguya a smile that made her feel like she would've turned into a puddle. Composing herself, she grinned. "So, let's head to our next destination!"
"Where are we going?" Rolo asked, not quite knowing where the girl had planned to take them for the day.
Kaguya stood up from the table, her grin wider than before. "A winter festival!" she answered. "But before that…"
Rolo watched as Kaguya picked up a piece of her cake with her fork again and turned it to him. "Taste it. It's good."
Sighing, he ate the cake off her fork to please the girl and she squealed, hurting Rolo's poor ears. "It is… Good, I suppose," he admitted shyly.
"Your brother is handsome, but you're definitely the cutest." With that, Kaguya grabbed his hand and led them out of the cafe, completely ignoring the dark blush upon his face. "Let's go!"
"Uh, Kaguya?"
"Yes?"
"A-Are you going to let go of my hand?" His blush darkened.
"It's cold. We should keep each other warm," she smiled genuinely.
Rolo was pretty sure he had turned the deepest color of red to exist.
Aren't Kaguya and Rolo cute?
Sooooo, this chapter kind of gave more insight on Lelouch and his mother's relationship. If you didn't notice, Lelouch is in a toxic/manipulative friendship with Luciano who is no good for him. And there's some other stuff to go over too, so Lelouch's past doesn't end there. And I know Lelouch is sad a lot, but the man is depressed and he's been through some shit.
We get a lot of sneak peeks of Kaguya, Kallen, Shirley, and C.C.'s past in the beginning of chapters and now with Euphy. We might go into their past more in the next chapter because I've been focusing on Lelouch a lot. I know you all are probably wondering what happened to Euphy. I mean, you all know she's dead, but how? That's coming up soon.
Also, as we've come to realize last chapter, Suzaku is a guilty ass motherfucker who - just like in freakin' anime canon - let his anger and rage take over. I intended for it to be like this.
Damn, this story is so sad. I didn't even intend for it to even be this way.
So, please read and review!
