You guys want to know what I'm saying? I'm saying: SCREW THE EPISODES! I'M DOING THIS STORY MY WAY!
I am so sorry for just leaving you guys at a cliffhanger and then saying that I'm basically giving up on this story. Listen, I don't care how you do it, just, if I ever seem like I don't have enough motivation, review . I don't care if you point out any mistakes I made in a chapter, or if you have any suggestions for future chapters, please, put them in a review so I know to keep going.
Now, I'm still going to be bouncing around, but frankly, I don't care.
To make up for not being here (on this particular story, I mean), I decided to throw in a part that I think everyone loves (especially Lloyd fangirls).
Disclaimer: I do not own Ninjago in any way.
Lloyd was absolutely terrified. Here was this large, pale and red T-Rex sort of creature stalking towards him, and the only thing the kid could do was back up until he felt the rough bark of a tree dig into his back, halting his progress and trapping him there as the Grundle came closer and closer with each passing second. Lloyd swallowed, his emerald green eyes wide with fear, as it raised one hand, the talons glinting in the sunlight, preparing to strike the killing blow. Not knowing what else to do, he closed his eyes, bit his lower lip, and braced himself.
The Grundle's low growl suddenly broke off, and Lloyd opened his eyes to a squint, but then they flew open with shock as he regarded the backs of four people standing in front of him.
The first was clad in black, with a heavy golden scythe perched on his right shoulder. His eyes, bottomless pit black with evergreen green, rich mud brown and stone gray swirls, burned with an intense light. He was heavily built, and was as solid as rock.
The second was in white, a shuriken in each hand, the right one held a certain way to allow his left eye, an unnatural pale, piercing icy blue color, to gaze through the circle in the middle of the throwing star, while his left hand was holding the other shuriken close to his right shoulder. His eyes seemed to flash with a strange light, as if he was able to see things that others could not.
The blue-clad person held a pair of glowing nunchuks, sapphires embedded in the handles, and the weapon was slung over his right shoulder, his left hand grasping the lower handle while his other hand held the right handle. Underneath his hood, his mouth was set in a humorous smirk, and his deep sky blue eyes shone with laughter, despite the threat that was standing in front of him.
And finally, holding a sword high above his head, whose golden blade seemed to be the sun itself, adorned with rubies in the hilt, was a fourth male; this time dressed in red the exact color of a raging fire. His almond brown eyes were flashing, and the orange-red flecks in his eyes could be, at a fast and casual glance, mistaken for sparks from a living fire. His mouth was set in a perpetual frown, and he lifted his head defiantly and arrogantly. Together, the four formed a barricade between the Grundle and Lloyd.
The Grundle couldn't seem to decide which one to attack first, so it went with the one closest.
Instead of backing away, Cole leapt forward to meet the challenge, swinging his scythe, but then performed a perfect backflip to avoid the snapping teeth after his failed attempt.
Lloyd watched as Kai tried to find the Grundle's weak spot, but unable to. After a few moments of watching them try to fight the monster, he felt something gently hit the heel of his boot. He looked down, and saw that it was a bottle containing tea leaves that were a strange purple color. Attached to it was a note reading five words: Throw it at the Grundle. The label on the side of the small glass bottle said Tomorrow's Tea. Unsure of what else to do, he threw the bottle. It hit the Grundle square in the middle of the head, and it began to spin in circles, bellowing its anger as it was reduced to dust and bones before eventually exploding into dust particles. Cole, Zane, Jay, and Kai were thrown backwards from the impact, but Lloyd was caught in the middle of the cloud.
It swirled around him, and a strange feeling came over him. He felt his legs and arms become longer while he (overall) became taller. He felt his hair become thicker and grow out until it went down to the base of his skull and curled slightly at the ends. His clothes changed too, adapting to his new body, and then eventually, he dropped to the ground.
Cole couldn't believe his eyes as Lloyd stood up. Instead of a cute eight-year-old, in his place was a serious, rather stunningly handsome, sixteen-year-old with a slightly built frame.
"I was not expecting this to happen, guys." Even his voice was deeper, and Cole felt an eyebrow rise.
He turned his head to look at the others, and said, "Think Sensei's going to kill us?"
As they were walking back to the Bounty, Zane sensed another presence. He stopped and turned around, his eyes darting back and forth. The others did the same, although Lloyd looked rather baffled and confused at why they had stopped.
A falcon cry made their heads crane so they could look up into the sky, and, upon seeing the black falcon flying in circles above them, Zane felt a strange connection to the bird. And as if they had a mind of their own, his feet began to move him as the falcon broke the continuous circles and started flying north…to the Birchwood Forest.
"Go back to the Bounty," Cole instructed Lloyd, "it's not too far away. Just go straight for roughly a twelfth of a mile, and then you'll see a ship with a dragon's head. That will be it."
"And what are you guys going to do?" Lloyd asked.
"We're going to follow the bird," Kai said, "although why Zane would just start to follow some random bird is beyond me." And with a shrug, he turned and began to run after his white-clad teammate.
The Grundle came in, Lloyd is now older, and they're following the falcon. And you guys know that means.
I swear, I will work as hard as I can on the next chapter to get it up soon.
Till next time, review, have a good day/night, and peace.
(P.S.: New poll on my profile! Check it out, please. Thank you.)
