Micah settled Jay on her bed, unnerved by the hollow gaze she had. Her gaze changed however when Klaus hurried into the room.

"Jaiyana," he whispered.

He shouldered Micah aside, sitting on the edge of the bed.

"You look weak," he observed.

He glanced over his shoulder.

"Diego, she needs blood," he said. "Go get a tourist."

Diego vanished from the door and Klaus focused his attention on Micah.

"Go," he ordered.

Micah shrugged, leaving just as Elijah was coming in. He nodded Jay's way, smiling.

"Glad to have you back," he said.

"Glad to be back," Jay replied. "The bayou is no place to sleep."

Elijah stepped forward, prodding her shoulder gently.

"Looks like a burn."

Jay made a mumble of acknowledgement, her eyes flashing back to Klaus as he stood up.

"Stay with her, Elijah," Klaus requested.

Elijah nodded, watching his brother turn back to Jay. He bent, whispering to her in a low tone before gently kissing her forehead.

"You'll feel better soon," he assured her.

With one final smile, he backed away. Elijah took his place at her side just as Diego was returning, two compelled tourists with him, one of which was drooling.

"Breakfast in bed," he said.

Jay's fangs were already showing as she attempted to sit up. With some help from Elijah, she sat up as Diego prodded the non-drooling one her way. With even more assistance from Elijah, she sunk her fangs into the soft flesh of the neck, tasting blood. And then she was gone.

"Talk about de ja vu," Micah remarked, joining Kat in the kitchen.

She said nothing and the silence was cut off by a scream and then a Thump! above their heads.

"Jay, back in action," Micah went on.

Kat slammed her hands down, glaring his way.

"Enough! Your hostility is unwanted!" she yelled. "I don't care what happened between you two in the past, you chose to come here and all your snarky comments don't help."

"Help us do what? Since I got here, we haven't done much to find Ursula," Micah retorted.

"Because she's had years to plan and plot. We need her to make the first move before we can!" Kat snapped.

Another Thump! caught there attention.

"Round two?" Micah wondered.

"She's trying to come down to shut the two of you up," Elijah informed them, walking in.

He was carrying an almost fully drained human who he set at the table, the girl's head lulling to the side, revealing the bite marks. Micah studied them in disdain, a fact Elijah chose to ignore, turning his attention to Kat.

"Would you mind putting food in this one? We might be able to send her home if you do."

Kat nodded at him and he left.

"So, they ask you to do something now and you do," Micah observed. "Cooking. How very domestic."

"Careful Micah," Kat warned. "He can hear you."

Jay rolled onto her side, despite Elijah's instructions not to. She still needed blood and that was her second human. She'd killed the first. Still, she functioned daily on small quantities of blood. Now shouldn't be any different. A little maneuvering got her to her feet, her legs shaking, but she was upright. She stumbled towards the closet, yanking out a clean jacket and pulling it on. Even that seemed like a large amount of effort. Jacket on over her red tank top, she stumbled out, trying to be stealth but failing. Still, she made it to the courtyard without being stopped, surprised to note the lack of vampires. Especially since the sent of blood was so strong. Not fresh but strong. Her fangs poked into her lip, tempted by that scent as she lumbered towards it, hunger gnawing at the back of her throat, like a fire out of control. That fire was soon doused by a pail of water as she came across the body.

"Oh my God," she whispered, eyes taking in the chalky white circle as well as the body of Diego.

She looked towards the house.

"Elijah!"

"Can I get you anything, brother? A magnifying glass, a pipe perhaps?" Klaus asked, clearly amused by the sight of Papa Tunde's body.

Or perhaps his bad mood was caused by Micah who hovered nearby. Either way, Kat ignored them, circling the scene slowly. Jay,likewise, was nearby, sitting rather than standing, her body still too weak. Kat ghosted to her side, bending at the waist.

"What do you think?" she asked.

"It can't be Ursula," Jay decided. "Her strongest witch couldn't even mess with the Quarter himself. He had to use Davina to do it."

They had blocked the others out as they spoke until Rebekah appeared.

"Well, don't you look cheery," she remarked."Listen to this: A girl literally exploded from a grave today as Sabine was giving a tour of the city of the dead. It was Monique Deveraux."

Jay rose fast, her chair tipping but not falling as Kat siezed it.

"What?" Klaus asked.

He looked to Jay, to Kat, but only found Kat. Jay was gone.

"Packed?"

Kat ignored Elijah, adjusting the strap of her bag. Jay's clothes were folded and carefully settled at the bottom, under the stuff Kat needed. She heard the tell tale creak of the floor boards as Elijah stepped closer.

"Katalina," he began.

"I know what Klaus said," Kat informed him. "But we have to look out for ourselves. Ursula's back and our witch is about to give birth. Jay's too weak right now. We can't be here. We're vulnerable and you have your own problems."

Elijah caught her as she turned, his strong grip holding her still as he locked eyes with her.

"I'm on vervain," she informed him quickly.

"I had no intention of compelling you," Elijah replied. "I merely wish to make a request."

Kat waited, silent, not wanting to commit to anything just yet.

"I have asked Rebekah to take Hayley to the plantation. I would like you to go with her as added security."

"But...Jay," Kat began.

"Micah has offered to go retrieve her," Elijah informed her.

"But-" Kat began again.

Elijah stopped her, smiling.

"And unlike you, Micah is not on vervain."

Monique opened the door, staring up at Jay. She managed a smile.

"Jaiyana," she greeted, wrapping her arms around the woman's waist.

"Monique," Jay whispered.

She slowly pushed Monique away, kneeling, face to face with the girl. She cradled the innocent face, in shock.

"How?" she began.

Monique caught her hands.

"It's the Harvest, Jaiyana," Monique informed her.

Jay looked over her head.

"Where's Sophie?"

"Cooking," Monique replied as Jay stepped in, sniffing the air.

"Good," Jay decided. "You need to eat. You look pale."

She heard the door close, turning to face Monique.

"Jay, I need your help," Monique said.

"Anything," Jay promised.

Monique smiled.

"I was hoping you'd say that."

Sophie came out of the backroom, wiping her hands. She stopped, seeing Jay.

"Jay," she greeted.

Jay nodded back, watching Sophie's eyes scan her. Finally, Sophie shook her head.

"Jane-Anne kept some of your old clothes in the back," she informed her.

Jay grinned.

"She always was prepared."

Jay turned to Monique.

"See you in a few minutes, okay?" she asked.

Monique smiled and nodded, watching Jay vanish to change before following Sophie to the backroom.

Jay finished changing, rejoining Monique and Sophie only to find Marcel there as well. He hadn't noticed her yet but was far too close to Sophie and Monique for Jay to like. She reached, slowly and quietly, for a nearby ritual knife, her hand curling around the hilt. Monique had been staring at Marcel but glanced, briefly, at Jay.

"I can feel it. He's loyal to her," Monique said. "He's here to help."

Jay set the knife down with a clatter, announcing her presence. Marcel turned, watching her as she strutted past him, placing herself at Monique's side, between the witches and the vampire.

"What do we need to do?" she asked, addressing Monique but staring at Marcel.

He was watching her as well, studying her, as if she wasn't his enemy anymore but a curiosity that he had.

"What?" she demanded, still feeling hostile.

"Davina met you," he replied.

Jay smiled.

"Yes, she did. In a way," she admitted.

"How?" Marcel asked.

Jay glanced at Sophie for a moment who shook her head, slowly. Jay then turned back to Marcel.

"Just a trick I know."

"I hate parties," Kat declared, sprawled on a couch across from Rebekah.

"Yes but Hayley insists," Rebekah rolled her eyes.

Suddenly, Kat sat up, alert, her nose scrunched. With a bit of focus, Rebekah could smell the same thing.

"Wolves," she whispered.

Kat smirked.

"Almost time," she said, sounding excited despite her previous statement.

Rebekah rose, tossing her book aside.

"Places everyone," she joked, heading for the kitchen.

Kat, meanwhile, headed outside.

Jay paced, nervous to let Marcel be so close to Monique and Sophie.

"You got enough power left to find these witches?" Marcel asked.

Jay paused, letting one eyebrow rise.

"I know the Harvest was an epic fail, but I can still do a locator spell. Before I do that, we need to make a deal," Sophie retorted.

She glanced at Marcel.

"What deal?" he asked.

"If I betray these witches, they're gonna come looking for me. And if I'm caught, I'm dead," Sophie reasoned.

"I said I'd protect you," Marcel argued, exasperated.

Jay rolled her eyes, remaining silent. If the resurrected witches were all in Papa Tunde's league, Marcel would need an army to protect Sophie.

"If you could do that, you wouldn't need my help in first place. The Quarter isn't safe. Vampires on one side, witches on the other," Sophie raved. "No way am I letting Monique get in the middle of that. In order to get her out, I'm gonna need money. Do we have a deal? "

Monique looked at Jay who offered her a reassuring smile and a wink. Regardless of Sophie's wishes or Marcel's help, Monique would not leave the Quarter if she didn't want to. Jay would make sure of that. After all, the last thing Jane-Anne would ever want was for Monique to be cut off from her ancestral magic.

"Find the witches," Marcel ordered. "I'll give you anything you could ever need."

Again, Monique looked at Jay who let her smile take on a dark touch. This time, Monique nodded at Jay who slowly backed away, vanishing, quietly into the night.

Kat watched the celebrations with a wrinkled nose, thanking higher powers for the ringing of her phone.

"Jay, I have seen it. Redneck werewolves."

"Fascinating," Jay remarked.

"Why'd you call?" Kat demanded.

"We have a job. From a witch."

"Is now really the best time for us to be taking side jobs? Ursula's back and Ariel sounds about ready to pop, if Micah's telling me the truth."

"I have a debt to pay to the Deveraux witches," Jay led with. "More accurately, Jane-Anne and Monique. And Monique doesn't want to leave the Quarter."

Kat sighed, lowering her cell phone and mumbling a few cuss words before lifting the phone back to her ear.

"What do I have to do?"

"Go back to the manor," Jay instructed. "Until I call again."

With that, Jay hung up. Kat glared at her phone, trying to decide to redial or not. In the end she chose not to. She also chose not to listen.

"Jaiyana."

Jay crossed her arms as Celeste, whom she had thought was Sabine, joined her. Celeste smiled.

"Don't look so upset with me," she cooed. "If I had known how useful you were, I would have saved you from the bayou."

Jay glared.

"A peace offering then?" Celeste asked, pricking her finger and offering the bead of blood to Jay. "We need you at full strength."

"Let's get one thing straight," Jay said, slapping Celeste's hand away. "My job is to ensure that Monique does not leave the Quarter. I'm working for her, not you."

They began walking, leaving Elijah sprawled on the ground.

"By working for Monique, you're going to betray your beloved husband."

Jay froze in her tracks, glaring at Celeste. Celeste kept walking, grinning to herself.

"You don't think I know?" she asked. "You and Klaus were married two days before he ordered me dead."

She glanced over her shoulder at Jay, grinning.

"I knew there was a reason I didn't like you."

Kat hissed as the leg of her pants caught fire, the flames scorching her leg.

"Son of a bitch," she hissed, backing away from the flames.

What the hell did Hayley do? One minute the house was perfectly fine and the next, fire! Despite all her knowledge on fire, Kat slammed her fist into the glass, leaping out as soon as it shattered. She spotted Hayley on the driveway, coughing with Elijah. Then Elijah was gone. Kat hurried to Hayley, kneeling.

"What happened?" she demanded.

"Witches," Hayley coughed, sitting up with Kat's help.

"Witches?" Kat repeated.

She looked back at the house, at the fires that ate at it.

"Jay, what have you gotten us into?" she wondered.

"I'm gonna kill them all."

Ariel could not help smiling as she came upon the vampires. Upon Elijah who was clearly freaking out.

"Perhaps," she said, announcing her arrival, watching the one familiar face in the crowd light up as he saw her. "I can be of some use."

"Ariel!" Micah cried out, rushing to her side.

His joy evaporated quickly though.

"Wait. Why are you here?" he asked. "Ursula-"

Ariel stopped him with one hand.

"Even pregnant, I can take Ursula. And you're here. Don't worry."

She turned to Elijah.

"How can I help?"
