AC: This is the escape of Gal'Drad back to the Deepmines.

Gal'Drad watched the Overworlders and he prepared himself. He looked at the map and putted it inside his waist armor, on the side of his body. He didn't want them to see the map or they'll guess that Remi helped him. He will bring the map to his tribe. It will be useful in the future.

"Let this become my great escape." Said Gal'Drad.

He turned at the direction of the lake. Prepared to return to his home.

Chapter 11: The escape

Gal'Drad moved quietly at the direction of the Silver Lake, with the map draw in his mind. He tried to escape without being spotted until he reached the water. When it comes to escaping, he had one inconvenient that often pushed him to fight, his speed. Remi saw in his scanners that Gal'Drad had a low speed compare to some creatures, but he made it up when he was underwater. It is in the water that his speed increases.

He looked behind him and he saw that they just started the search. He knew he'll be spot eventually. He left some footprints. It then appeared in his mind, Remi also left footprint, but it was his shoes, so there were no proof that he was with him, but mostly a Chaotic player. Gal'Drad walked at the direction of the lake when he heard Viqtarr.

"I found his stench. He smelt like some expired fish." Commented Viqtarr. He was ready to kill him.

"I can see his footprint...He's close." Said Attacat.

Gal'Drad didn't like the comment, but he remained calm. He didn't want to die so close to obtaining freedom about some false lies about his odor. He continued walking slowly when he heard the sentence he didn't want to hear. He was halfway from the lake now.

"I see him!" Shouted a soldier. "He's escaping at the lake!"

Gal'Drad didn't mind discretion now. He stood up and he ran as if his life depends on it, which was the case.

"Kill him!" Ordered Viqtarr.

The soldier started shooting at him while he jumped to the left. He turned around to knock him out.

"Power Pulse!" Shouted Gal'Drad.

He threw a pulse of energy and he knocked the soldier. He then turned around and he continued running. Gal'Drad continued running at the direction of the lake. He was getting closer when he heard something a little too late.

"Vine Snare!" Shouted Viqtarr.

Vine appeared from his hands and grabbed the foot of Gal'Drad. He felt on the ground and he grunted. The bear was much faster than he thought or closer. He pulled the M'arrillian at his directions and he was ready to kill him.

"Frost Blight!" Shouted Gal'Drad.

It wasn't his best attack, but he only wanted to cut the vine. He succeeded and Viqtarr felt on his butt while the M'arrillian stood up and he continued running.

Attacat passed his Overworld friend with the soldiers and chased him. He was fast and he was catching up the M'arrillian. Gal'Drad knew that Attacat was getting close now. He refused to give up, he reached the beach and he was close to the lake. The Overworlders were shooting him and Gal'Drad had some trouble evading the blast, luckily, none of them hit him. He was close to the water now and he heard Attacat.

"You won't get away! Iron Balls!" Shouted Attacat.

He threw those balls out of his eyes and it smashed the back of Gal'Drad who grunted in pain. He used his training to ignore it and maintain his focus. He jumped to the left and rolled on the ground. He then used his tail to threw an energy attack and hit Attacat, stopping his attack. The M'arrillian will have back pain, but it was trivia for now. His foot touched the water and he knew he was safe from them. He jumped in the air and he dove in the water, out of reach of the Overworlder at the surface.

"Dammit...He escapes us and Mezzmarr isn't around!" Grunted Viqtarr. "We almost had him!"

"...We have to report to Maxxor right now." Said Attacat. "Let's hope the Underworld doesn't capture him."

"We have to seal those passages now." Said Viqtarr furiously. "That Chaotic player must have help him! When I see him I'll destroy him!"

"What make you said that?" Asked Attacat.

"Before we spot him...There were Chaotic player footprints." Commented Viqtarr.

"Are you sure it couldn't be someone else?" Asked Attacat. He wasn't sure about that. No one knew his smell or the form and size of his foot.

"It can only be him. No one is stupid enough to help one creature of their tribe except him." Grunted Viqtarr.

Or kind enough to do something stupid. Thought Attacat. He knew that most humans wouldn't help any creatures of any tribe even if they weren't as dangerous as the M'arrillian. The mostly help if they could gain something...Except Tom and his friends. He knew that Sarah...It wasn't the case for a good reason since she was dealing with Danians.

Under the water, Gal'Drad looked around if they were any Overworlder under the water and he saw nothing. They weren't any submarine or Mezzmarr who attacked him the first time he tried. He was glad that Remi brought him there. He knew that this place wasn't really known if they took so much time to come here. He knew he wasn't safe yet. He just escaped the hot zone now. He swims the fast he could, but his back was slowing him down. He had to use his tails, arms and legs to swim without the use of his back to be at his full speed. He was only at the half of his speed just because of his back that isn't working well. He knew that a creature like him didn't have a solid back like the Fluidmorpher and the mostly the Kha'rall. The Chieftains jelly body were resilient, but they didn't have any hard spot except on some part of their light armor.

The reason was simple for their light armor, mobility. If their armor were too heavy, they lost a lot of their mobility compare to the Kha'rall.

He continued swimming for a while. He reached the bottom of the lake and he looked around. He still hadn't seen any creatures. He realised that they weren't expecting him there. It was an isolated place; the proper condition to be protected and invisible. He was even more than glad that Remi was his friend now.

He searched for the tunnels and he looked around. He spotted the good one and he entered in it. He felt the suction of the fall and it was too powerful for him to resist or slow down at his state.

"No...Nonononononono!" He continued saying no and he was moving there at great speed. He turned away and tried to slow his descent by swimming against the flow, but it was useless with his back preventing him to reach his full capacity. His life depended on fate now. He felt deeper and deeper in the tunnel and he reached the exit.

He was ejected from the tunnel and he was in the air and continued moving forward. He knew he would land on solid ground and die when his body exploded and some part of it flew everywhere (literally), if he didn't try something. He saw a Stalactite he could use. He transformed his hands into tentacles and he grabbed it. He then spin around it and he let go when he was flying at the direction of the Silver lake created by the Silver Fall in the Underworld.

Remi looked at the fall. He was there for a while and he missed the moment when Gal'Drad failed his exit. He looked at the hole from the fall when he heard something.

"AAAAHHHHHHH!"

Remi saw the M'arrillian falling like a rocket in the water if a powerful splash. A wave of water stroke Remi and he was completely wet. He looked at the lake and he saw Gal'Drad floating on the surface, his face underwater. He was K.O. from the fall when he reached the water head first.

"Gal'Drad...Gal'Drad!" Shouted Remi. He then realised that he was unconscious. "GAL'DRAD!"

Remi was worried for the M'arrillian now. He knew he was alive since his body moved a little and twitched. He jumped in the lake to get him out, which wasn't necessary since he could breathe underwater: Part of being semi aquatic being average.

Remi swim at his direction and he reached him. He took his tail and he pulled it to the border of the lake, after turning his body around and his head was at the surface. He then wwent out of the water and he looked at him. He waited for his friend to woke up. It took a minute before Gal'Drad moved and grunted.

"Urgh...What ha-..." Gal'Drad opened his eyes and he looked around. He then remembered what happened and said nothing. He saw that he was in the Underworld with a headache and his back pain still there. He then saw Remi smiling at him.

"You're alright!" Shouted Remi relief about him. "You landed head first in the water and I thought you would drown."

"..."Gal'Drad looked at him for a few seconds without saying anything.

The M'arrillian shoulders started moving slowly. The rest of his body followed up.

"You thought I would...*Keuf*...Drown?" Asked Gal'Drad forcing himself not to do something. Remi nodded positively. "...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Ouch! My back! And my head!"

"..." Remi looked at him and he wondered if he had lost his mind. He busted into laughing, which was not normal for him because he's so serious and he had a headache. Maybe his brain, if it was there, was damage.

Gal'Drad looked at him and he wondered if he had hurt his friend. He calmed down.

"Remi...I'm a semi-aquatic creature. I think it was obvious that I could breathe under water. All my tribe can do that." Said Gal'Drad more seriously.

Remi looked at him and he putted his hand over his front. He did a face palm and he looked at him.

"So true...Sorry. I didn't think about it. You were always at the surface." Said Remi a little shy about his stupidity.

"Don't be sorry..." Said Gal'Drad. "You were surely worried for me. Anyway...I'm not safe yet...You should put your mask on...In case the Underworld saw your face and someone told the Overworlder."

Remi nodded and he putted his mask back on. He looked at his friend and he saw the M'arrillian putting his hand on his back. Remi had nothing to help him for now.

"Don't worry." Said Gal'Drad who knew what Remi was thinking. "I've received worse when we first met." He then stood up. "I'm a tough creature. They have spotted me...But they were no one underwater. I was lucky this time. When I'm back home...I'll stay put for a Solan if I could. I had too much sensation for a solan."

Remi looked at him.

"If you are ready. We should go." Suggested Remi.

"We are close." Said Gal'Drad opening the march.

Remi followed him in the cavern of the Underworld, leading to the Deep Mine. They walked silently in case an Underworlder was nearby, or troops. Gal'Drad knew that the door leading to the Deep Mine would be guarded. They walked silently. The escape wasn't over yet. It was soon over. The problem was that anything could still go wrong for now, but he didn't intent to fail. They walked. They passed around the few guards present and they reached the opened door of the Deep Mine.

Remi looked at the door. It wasn't really opened; it was destroyed, so it would never be closed again. He knew that the Deep Mine was also a prison for the M'arrillians when the door was closed and locked.

"Your home is near...A home...and a prison." Said Remi when he saw the doors.

"Do not worry. We made sure that there will never be a door to imprison us." Said Gal'Drad.

The looked at the door and it was heavily watched by underworlder soldiers. They will need to have a plan to pass them.

"This will be harder than I thought." Commented Gal'Drad. His back felt better, but he couldn't run at his maximal speed for a long time before his back might broke by the effort.

"Unless I'll do a diversion." Said Remi.

"A diversion? Which one?" Asked Gal'Drad.

"You'll see...Gal'Drad...I'll see you in the Deep Mine next time." Said Remi.

"Hum...Yeah." Said Gal'Drad. He putted his hands on the shoulder of Remi. "Thanks you for everything you did to me. Even when you know that I've done horrible things. I hope you'll find a way to see me in the Deep Mine." Said Gal'Drad sadly. He let him go.

Remi moved away at the direction of the guards. He hid for a while, so he'll appear to come from somewhere else. He also took off his mask, so the guards could see his face.

Gal'Drad could only watch and hoped that he will be fine. He knew that the information about Kiru city will be useless. They will destroy the secret passages, but he had a map that his tribe could use to invade the Overworld one day, if that day will come. Gal'Drad wasn't sure it was possible anymore, not without the mind control. He saw Remi who was closed to the guards. They were pointing their weapons at him. He saw Remi exhausted and he was pointing to the cavern he pointed from. He was on his knee and the M'arrillian wondered what he was doing and telling.

Nevertheless, the guards all ran at the direction of the cavern and it was now safe to pass. Gal'Drad ran at the direction of the door before the guards came back. He was fast and he was halfway when he saw Remi coming too with his scanner. He knew that Remi will get a scan from the inside of the door so he could port without having to pass the guards again. Remi gave him the sign to keep going and he did that. Remi told his good-bye because he didn't want him to put himself at risk for him. He reached the door before the guards came back. He kept running for a while when he heard something behind him. He knew they were back and firing at Remi. He continued hearing them. Gal'Drad hid behind a wall and he looked at the door entrance or exit. He then saw Remi running inside and he looked around. He walked for a while with exhaustion. He took out his scanner and scanned the place. He scanned a safe location to port in when he will come back. He then looked at his direction, but he was still hiding in case the guards came in.

"See you later my friend." Said Remi before porting out.

Gal'Drad turned around and he ran once again deeper in the cavern. He wasn't sure if Remi saw him or not, or that he was watching him. He knew he will never know what he said to the guards, but it worked and he was fine with that. The cavern didn't have water anymore, it all came out when the door opened and one floor of his home was without it. When he was deep enough, he stopped running and he walked. He then saw a coral soldier in his patrol.

The Coral soldiers have green skin over their head and a part behind their head that continues over their back. The green solid skin covers their chest and their 4 legs. They have purple eyes and part of their arms and their belly is pale purple. Their long face is blue and they have long and sharp teeth. Their right arm has 3 fingers and their left is a pincer.

The soldier saw him and he walked at his direction.

Gal'Drad looked at him and only one thing was in his mind.

"I'm back home." He said.

He didn't know for now, but this sentence will eventually lose his meaning. That's for another story.

AC: Here's the end of Gal'Drad escape. The story will now have more Chaotic match and Remi is now a true friend of Gal'Drad. He will try the same with other M'arrillian who will be more or less opened mind about it; after a while.

I hope you like this first part. I could be unofficially an Arc.

The second part will be about what will happen in the Deep Mine and the Overworld reactions. It's also were Remi will encounter his main rival M'arrilliankiller.

It will end with two keys event that will be linked between Gal'Drad and Remi.
