Sorry for the four year Hiatus. I lost internet and never had a stable source to update it. Here you go.
Work sucks. Plain and simple. Add the fact that I have homework still, and I know I'll be miserable in the morning. Stumbling through the front door, I wasn't surprised when the lobby was empty and lights were off. The only other person I knew could be up this late was Naruto, and that was only when he had a ton of paperwork involving the building.
I groaned and headed to the stairs, thinking about asking Naruto to install an elevator and possibly screwing school and sleeping in. Wasn't like they'd miss me. By the time I reached my floor, I noticed a light coming from under Hinata's apartment door; and wondering why she would be awake at this hour. Then again, I stopped wondering because of my exhaustion and headed for my apartment. Just as I was passing by her door though, my curiosity managed to somehow override everything and I found myself knocking on her door. It didn't take long for Hinata to come to the door, dressed in a gray T-shirt and blue shorts. Her eyes were heavy, probably from fatigue herself, and her hair was upheaveled.
"Sorry, for disturbing you, I just saw that your light was on and wanted to say good night," I said and offerred a tired smile.
Hinata looked at me as though she didn't know who I was for a second before just smiling herself, "S-Sorry, I didnn't k-know it was this late. T-Thank you, and g-good night."
I saw the slightest hint of a blush on her face and couldn't help but smile again. Always found it funny about how a simple change in face color could be so adorable. In a way, it's as if Hinata was showing her own gratitude for talking to her. It reminded me of how Nunally would just smile to say thank you when she couldn't do anything else. Speaking of smiles, I'd like to admit that Hinata's was adorable. Shaky but genuine, as if she was stepping on egg shells, but was still willing to cross the wake.
"Please, do try to get some sleep, your eyes are too pretty to be weighed down by bags," I decided to add, which caused her blush to completely overtake her face and could only cause her to nod.
Hesitant, I turned on my heals and headed back to my apartment, flinching ever so slightly when I heard Hinata's door click. Maybe, I should invite her out to coffee again. I was still nursing the idea when I reached my door and saw an envelope taped to my door, the writing on it belonging to that of someone of prestige. I could make a good guess of who it was from by the angry tail of the "H" at the end of my name. Without thinking, I rip it off my door and stormed in. There went my good mood.
I know it's short, but I still working my way back in. Hope you enjoy.
