'Delsin just be careful. There have been reports of another bioterrorist around the city but I don't think it's the same one you met.'

The words Reggie said to Delsin earlier that day swirled around in his head. Another Conduit? That's all he needed. Seattle was under constant tight surveillance by the D.U.P. who were always hoping to catch someone out as a Bioterrorist, drag them away to wherever and do Lord only know what to them. Other than the checkpoints and the random patrols the D.U.P. sent out, life carried on for Seattle's citizens who tried the keep day-to-day business as normal as possible; even though there was an underlying threat. People still had to go to work, take the kids to school, go grocery shopping and have a social life but all under the watchful eye of the D.U.P.

Delsin kept quiet sometimes. He had a habit of attracting a little too much attention to himself then eventually he'd end up in huge trouble. Some days he would try his hardest to stay out of trouble, but it always found him. Sometimes he couldn't even help himself and would stupidly end up getting caught for leaving the odd piece of graffiti around and more often than not his brother would come down on him like a tonne of bricks.

One afternoon, Delsin found himself wandering around the city doing nothing in particular whilst trying to stay out of trouble. He spent most of his time admiring the graffiti that had been left around the city's walls by other street artists. He was soon distracted by a familiar flash of colour that drifted out of his vision and in to a nearby department store. Being a curious fellow, he soon found himself crossing over the street and in through the department store doors. The stores security guards spied him almost instantly and watched him like a hawk; Delsin obviously not being the department stores usual clientele. He tried to play it cool as he casually strolled through the stored fragrance floor. That's when he saw her in amongst the busy masses of people going about their shopping and browsing. That familiar shocking red colour broken up by a block of black; the strange combination belonging to that woman. She was drifting around all the perfume counters, stopping every so often to test some by sniffing the strange little bits of card she would spray the fragrances on to. Delsin noticed she was keeping a close eye on her surroundings, paying close attention to the people milling around before moving to another counter. Taking advantage of the few seconds when the woman was distracted by trying a new perfume, Delsin snuck up from behind her and slouched himself down elbow first on the counter she was stood at.

'I think you'd suit a fragrance that's more stronger y'know? That one's far too girly for you.' Delsin smirked as the crimson haired woman juddered back to reality and stared at him wide-eyed. She started to back away from him, but Delsin just rested his arm on her jacket sleeve. A second after doing so he could feel a distinct coldness seeping through the fabric of her coat.

'Woah wait I'm not here to fight. Besides, a store full of people, not a good idea.'

The girl relaxed slightly when Delsin removed his hand from her arm. Her face softened also, she instantly became more doe-eyed and innocent looking even though Delsin knew otherwise. Especially after their fight at the ice arena. He had seen the girls face turn in to something that looked like it belonged to a psychopath.

'Don't worry I just want to talk.'

The girl looked at Delsin with a slightly furrowed brow, making her seem confused.

'So what's your name? I'm Delsin.'

Silence.

Delsin was the confused one now.

'You never spoke the last time I saw you. Can you… talk?'

The girl paused for a moment then shook her head to say no.

'No. Okay well, this is easy. Can you tell me your name in some other way?'

The girl shook her head again.

'Wait wait, can you tell me your name at all?' Delsin asked putting emphasis on the can. There was obviously a reason to why she wasn't talking.

The girl sighed and shook her head another time.

Delsin sighed along with her then scratched the side of his head. He had quickly run out of ideas then noticed the collar she had round her neck. It was a peculiar looking piece up close. It had a small shiny glass disk in the middle and what appeared to be a flashing light on the side.

'What's that?' Delsin asked the woman and he pointed to her collar. He watched as he could see something leave her, that little sparkle she had in her blue-grey eyes had gone. Her lips pursed together as if she was forming a word to start speaking, nothing but another sigh escaped.

'You really can't say anything, can you?'

The girls face changed again. She looked more focused this time and more serious. Delsin had carried on asking her questions but it seemed like the girl had totally spaced out and she heard nothing he had said.

'Hey! You in there?' Delsin said as he snapped his fingers on front of the girls face a few times. She shook herself back in to the real world and stared at Delsin. She spun around and quickly made a bee line for the door. Delsin followed after her until he was stopped in his tracks by a big burly security guard. The girl had picked up the pace and made her way out through the door and back on to the street just as Delsin had managed to shake off the security guard for a moment. He dashed outside and looked around for her only to find nothing. She had long gone.

On the plus side the security guard hadn't followed him outside.
