The dawn was nearly approaching, Jon lazily fluttered his eyes open. He slowly sat up, mindful not to wake up his wife. She typically doesn't wake up as early as he does. He looked to his side to make sure he hadn't accidentally woken her up. Thankfully he didn't, he now was staring at her sleeping. He drank in the image of his beautiful wife sleeping naked on the bed, engulfed by the dim light of the rising sun. It was a sight that didn't fail to bring a smile to his face. He slowly got up from the bed and got dressed. Thought of going above deck and watching the sun rise as they reached Bear Island. He reached the deck and found Edwyn standing at the very front of the ship, staring forward to the approaching patch of land. Jon went on to join the lad.

"Good morning." Jon greeted.

"Good morning, m' lord." The young man answered.

"Enjoying the view, I see."

"Aye sir… I've never seen these parts of the south."

"Where are your parents?" Jon asked curious to know about this boy.

"Both dead m'lord. My father was a deserter… he was a ranger that strayed from his flock when he met her. She took care of him and he decided to say instead of returning to the watch, my mother told me the crows foun' 'im an' had him thrown off the wall b'fore I was born. She died a few years ago though. She was sick." He said sourly, the memory of his mother being a sore spot for him still.

"She was really beautiful. And really kind…"

Jon felt sorry for the lad, he felt a certain kinship to the boy. He ruffled his hair and kept talking to him about many things as the sun kept rising. Suddenly Jon heard his name called out. He turned around and saw Ygritte. He extended his hand and called her to him. She walked over and he wrapped his hands around her waist.

"What's that?" Ygritte asked referring to the approaching patch of land.

"That's Bear Island. We're going to ask for the support of House Mormont." Jon answered.

The name was familiar to Ygritte. She remembered Mormont, the Lord Commander of the Crows. She tensed up against him. He assured her that they would be safe since House Mormont is fiercely loyal to House Stark. The boat reached the port of Bear Island, and as the disembarked the ships, a host of Mormont men came to meet them at the port and escort them to the Mormont keep to meet Lady Lyanna Mormont. The king and Jon rode to the keep and were escorted before Lady Mormont. Ygritte stood beside Jon and Davos and Melissandre stood beside the king.

"It's an honor to be in your presence my lady. I knew your Uncle Jeor on the Wall. I was his steward under his service-"

"Spare me the stories, I don't care to hear them. Make your intentions clear at once or I will have you dismissed." The small girl commanded.

Jon looked to Ygritte in disbelief as this small girl of eight years just spoke to him in that manner. Ygritte sniggered quietly.

"Lady Mormont, we are looking for support to establish Stannis Baratheon, the true heir to the Iron Throne, as the King of the Seven Kingdoms…" Davos started out.

"Why would that be our concern? We know no king but the King in the North whose name is Stark. The Starks are dead and now we serve the Boltons."

"The Starks are not dead, here before you is Jon Stark. He is the bastard son of Ned Stark. King Stannis raised him from his baseborn name to Stark. We want to seek justice for House Stark and have them retake Winterfell and the North."

"And you need Mormont men to do it?" She questioned as he leaned back and crossed her arms.

"Yes, we need all the north men we can get to take the North from the Boltons." Jon added.

"And why would I commit my men to fight another war?" She asked turning her attention to him.

"Because you said you only answer to House Stark… I may not have been born a Stark, I may not have asked to be raised from Snow to Stark. But now I am one and I refuse to let my family's name die. And I come here to ask for your help, not just for me, but for my family. For my father and siblings and for my wife and child."

Lyanna turned to the woman standing by his side.

"A wildling? You expect us northerners to accept a wildling as our Lady?"

"Aye, we do. And I'm more northerner than you sitting in your high table. At least I fight instead of sitting behind a table." Ygritte snapped back.

Jon and Stannis tensed up. Stannis was about to tell Jon to keep a hold of his woman. With a chuckle and a smirk, Lyanna kept talking to Ygritte.

"I like you. This Lady Stark is a true Northerner. Women in here are not like those southern damsels, we are strong. Do you hunt Lady Stark?"

"Aye, I ev'n wager I can hunt far better than any of your men." Ygritte said full of herself.

Jon started getting nervous as to where this was headed.

"Prove to us you're worthy to lead us. People have sang enough of your praises Lord Stark, and frankly I don't care to hear anymore of your greatness, now show us if you can earn the respect of House Mormont. Beat our best hunter in a hunt and we will pledge our services to you."

"Done." Ygritte answered sternly.

"No!" Jon yelled out.

"My lady, I'll take her place. She's with child and-" Jon called out hurriedly

"I am fine Jon… I can do this." Ygritte growled to him, clearly annoyed at his overprotection.

"Ygritte you have to think of our child…" Jon said holding both of her arms.

"We will be fine… trust me… Let me do this. I gotta show 'em, the new Lady Stark isn't one to let her Lord husband d' the fightin'." Ygritte said with eyes full of determination.

Jon slowly started to let go and Ygritte agreed to the terms. Ygritte left to the Mormont armory to pick her weapon of choice, a bow and a quiver full of arrows. Jon looked over to Ygritte, looking at her worriedly. Stannis approached him.

"Your woman better not lose this. If she does, we might as well give up winning the North."

Now Jon had pressure on top of worry for his wife. Stannis left him alone to look on. The Mormont's captured a wild boar and had it branded. They released it and waited a few minutes before having both hunters go out. Jon pressed through the gathering people and reached his wife. He hugged her and wished her good luck. She kissed him, and with determined eyes turned around and entered the woods. Jon, still filled with fear, called for Edwyn.

"You're a warg right boy?"

"Yes m'lord."

"Is your hound here with you?"

"Always, would you like me to assist the lady?" He asked.

"No, no; she'll never let me live it down. Just find her, follow her, and make sure nothing happens to her out there." He ordered.

Edwyn did as he was commanded. He warged into his hound and went off to track Ygritte in the woods. He had a particularly tough time to track her since she was always on the move. But soon not only did he find the boar, but he found her opponent as well. The bearded man was lining up a shot with his spear, but before he could thrust it at the pig, it gave a loud squeal as an arrow pierced its eye and the mighty beast fell dead. The man and a hidden Edwyn looked to the distance and found Ygritte triumphantly lowering her bow. Edwyn warged back into his own body and went to find Lord Stark.

"M'lord." He called out.

"What is it? Did something happen?"

"No m'lord. She-"

They were suddenly interrupted by the arrival of a burly bearded man carrying the boar over his shoulder and a fiery redhead trailing behind him. Stannis clenched his jaw as he thought this challenge was lost.

"Rodrik, I see you were successful in bringing down the beast." Lyanna called out congratulating the man.

"I'm afraid not my Lady. Her arrow took it down first before my spear did. I'm merely carrying her trophy since it's too heavy for an expecting lady to carry. Lady Stark won, fairly." He said lowering the beast and bowing his head to his lady.

Jon rushed to Ygritte and kissed her as fiercely as if she had returned after leaving him for many years. Lyanna Mormont turned to Jon and Ygritte.

"An agreement was made. And House Mormont keeps their word. You've proven that you are the rebirth of House Stark, and that you are worthy to lead the North. You count with the support of House Mormont.

To celebrate, Lady Lyanna hosted a feast, with the slain boar as their main course. The king's men and the Mormont men celebrated loudly and enjoyed the night. Jon refused to let go of Ygritte.

"You know you had me worried out there." He whispered into her ear.

"I can handle m'self hunting. I have been hunting e'er since I could hold a bow, you know nothing Jon Stark." She remarked.

"I know, I know… you're getting used to calling me Stark now I see."

"It's still strange but it's your name now… It's gonna be his name too." Ygritte said putting his hand on top of her stomach.

"His? You think it's a boy?" Jon jokingly said raising his eyebrows.

"I don't know. Free folk don't name their children after they're born, but if we 'ave a boy I already 'ave a name for 'im." She said with a light blush staining her cheeks.

Jon laughed loudly.

"Do you now? He's my son too so I should say what his name sho-"

"Robb…" She interrupted.

"What?" Jon asked as her answer sank into his ears.

"I thought, since we talked yesterday, he must've meant a lot t' you. So I want t' name him Robb."

Jon was stunned into silence, his heart was too full to speak a word.

"Don't you want to race little Robb Stark on horseback?" She added looking into his eyes, now misty with tears.

"Yes… yes." He chocked out.

Jon leaned in for a kiss and whispered how much he loved them both into her ear. He realized how truly fortunate he was, and prayed to all the gods to let him keep this piece of happiness he'd found for himself.
