A/N: I apologize greatly for this whole situation. I will be working on completing this part of the story at the very least, however, in the (sorry to say) years since I began this story, I've lost a lot of passion for it. Hell, I haven't read a Percy Jackson book in over a year at the least. I have handwritten stuff I am transcribing to digital, which is how I am writing the end of this part of the story. I am noticing pacing issues, but to be completely honest, at this point I just want to finish this so I can work on my main project: an original novel I've been working on for a few years. I love this story, and in many ways I must thank this story for the practice and ideas it gave me. My main protagonist of my novel was originally an OC in this story that I cut because she works better where I have her now.
Sorry. I'm rambling. But there's my apology. Now for the story:
Leo
While Will tended to Calypso's wounds, Leo and the others searched the hotel. All the mortal occupants had since fled, so the demigods had free reign of the entire place. Hopefully there would be some kind of clue that could help them find this High Priest everyone seemed to be talking about.
After nearly two hours of searching they finally found something. Percy rushed in to the room exclaiming, "We found it! We found it!"
Leo and Nico followed the son of Poseidon to a small filing closet. Annabeth handed Nico a scrap of paper. Even Leo could sense the death that hung around it. After nearly a full minute, Nico looked back up from the sheet. "Salt Lake City? Why? Seems ambiguous."
"No idea," Annabeth replied. "But it's the only lead we have. And it isn't very far out of the way."
Nico shook his head. "No. We can't risk the Spear."
"Nico, we might never get a chance like this again," Percy replied. "Once they realize we took out Apis, they'll move camp. They won't risk getting caught."
Leo was conflicted, but he brought his idea to the table. "We could . . . split up . . ." he suggested.
"Split up?" Percy repeated.
"If three people were to go on Festus, they could get to Camp Jupiter much faster. They take the Spear and go-"
Leo was cut off by Will rushing in. "Guys we have a problem!" He exclaimed, mostly looking to Leo.
The five demigods rushed back to the lobby. Calypso lay unconscious on the ground. Leo ran over to her. "Cal!" He shouted. He pressed two fingers to her neck. Even in the easiest spot to find a pulse, he could barely feel it. It was weak, barely pumping blood. He glanced down at her arm and yelped. "Her arm, it's turning dark. Like Apis!"
He stood up and stalked over to Will. "You were supposed to fix her!" He shouted angrily.
"I did all I could." Will said calmly. "She's not dead, is she?"
"She's pretty damn close!" Leo yelled. He could feel his temperature rising, but right now he didn't care.
"I can't help her on my own, but if we can get her to Camp Jupiter I think they can help." Will responded.
Leo slowly began to calm down. "We need to take Festus," he said.
"Yeah, but what about the High Priest," Percy asked.
"Not everyone fits on Festus anyway," Leo said. "Will, Cal, and I will go on Festus. You three go find the High Priest."
"No," Will replied. "You were ready to burn me alive a second ago. I'll take Cal and Percy."
"She's my wife. I'm not leaving her."
"Your flames can hurt Nyx's minions. You should come with Nico and I," Annabeth said.
Leo bit his lip. They were right. "Fine, but if anything happens to Cal, you answer to me, got it?" He said to Will.
Will nodded. "Of course."
Leo unloaded the last of the bags from Festus. He looked up at Calypso. She had woken up, but was in a lot of pain. "I'm sorry I can't come along," he told her.
"I'll be okay. You need to get that High Priest." She said, barely able to whisper.
Leo gave her a kiss before Festus took off.
The son of Hephaestus turned to Annabeth and Nico. He pulled out a set of car keys from his belt. "So that SUV over there is our ride," he said. He walked over with his bags and put them in the back of the vehicle. He then got in the driver's seat. "I guess we get to see who this High Priest guy is."
Well, that's chapter 11. I know it's short. I cut a lot out. There was some weird indirect Harry Potter cameo that I cut, and I shortened a scene. The original saw Leo a lot more angry but it seemed unreasonably so. Send feedback in those reviews! Only two chapters left in this part. I'm going to stay true to what I already wrote, for this. But if I get enough feedback to prompt finishing part three I will probably end it there. If not, I suppose this is the final part. An unfinished story.
