I'm so sorry for the wake, I have a sort of an excuse. School and I'm working on my own non fanfiction story(s). But I break up on Wednesday for 6 six weeks so except more updates, except from this sunday to the 6th of august, I'm in Ibiza at that time, on holiday with my family. Also, Felix will probably be very ooc, but this is the way he's gonna be in this story.
Valkyrie sat on a log that was close to the cage Henry was in, everyone else was asleep but her and she was sure Henry was awake too.
"Henry?" Valkyrie whispered as quietly as she could manage.
There was a bit of shuffling before a, "Valkyrie?"
"Yeah, its me," Valkyrie said, "I'm gonna get you out of there. Just wait one sec, and then run, OK?"
"OK."
Valkyrie started to displace the air around the lock of the cage, before she heard it pop open and saw Henry push it open.
"Run." Valkyrie whispered, and they did just that.
After running for around a minute, Valkyrie heard Henry slow down. So she turned around to try to hurry him up, "Keep running-" Valkyrie started but Henry had stopped altogether and was staring at something, no someone in front of her. Valkyrie whipped her head around just to see Pan smirking at her.
"You didn't really think you'd get away, did you." Pan said, his expression turning angry.
"I liked our chances." Valkyrie glared.
"What chances? You didn't have any chances to begin with."
Valkyrie went to hit him but her fist stopped when it was a few inches away from Pan's head. When she tried to pull it back it wouldn't budge.
"Pan." Valkyrie growled.
Pan just smiled in response.
"BOYS!" Pan shouted and within seconds they were surrounded by The Lost boys.
"Take Henry back to the camp, Wendy and I will take a walk."
The lost boys did a he said, leading Henry away. The moment they were out of sight Valkyrie could move her hand.
Valkyrie did nothing but glare at Pan and cross her arms.
"You shouldn't have run away from the camp, Wendy."
"I told you before, my name is Valkyrie bloody Cain, and I swear to almighty go-" That was it, Valkyrie was going to kill him. Slowly. He had taken away her voice. HER VOICE.
"I don't think you'd get the chance to kill me, Wendy."
Valkyrie had forgotten about the mind reading he could do. A great inconvenience, actually.
"I guess, considering you can't speak, I should," Pan smirked, "We'll be back at the camp in a couple of minutes," Pan stood in front of her and glared, "And don't think you'll get away with this, Wendy. I always win."
And they were back at camp, Valkyrie instantly walked to the furthers part of the camp from Pan. She turned and faced away from pan, but could feel him glaring daggers at her back.
She hated him, and she missed Skulduggery. And she didn't want to be in this dammed forest one second longer. She just wanted to go home, and see her parents. Or at least the people who had raised her for 8 years.
She just wanted to go.
She looked up as she heard footsteps approaching and scowled when Felix sat next to her.
"What?" Valkyrie glared, then smiled, as she realised she could talk again.
"Woah, don't I get a hello? I thought I was your favourite lost boy?" Felix said, feigning hurtesness.
Valkyrie couldn't help but smile, Felix, she remembered, could always make her happy when she was sad, and was like a very cool older brother.
"Sorry, hi. Did you...?" Valkyrie left the question.
"Get Pan to give you your voice back?" Felix asked.
Valkyrie nodded.
"Yeah, I did. I figured he was being a bit too harsh on you. You shouldn't have run away with Henry, you know."
"No, I don't know. Why's he sitting there in a cage, whilst I'm n-"
"BOYS, AND GIRL!" Pan shouted, "ITS TIME."
Time for what, Valkyrie didn't know, but the Lost Boys obviously did as they were cheering. Valkyrie tried to ignore the sympathetic and worried glance Felix gave her.
