Credits

Here I will cite all of the 'research' that I did for this story. At least this research was entertaining.

Members of Team Crafted (check 'em out on Youtube)

SkyDoesMinecraft (Sky or Adam)

Deadlox (Ty)

MinecraftUniverse (Jason)

HuskyMudkipz (Quentin)

JeromeASF (Jerome or Fluffy)

BajanCanadian (Mitch)

Ssundee (Ian)

And yes, I'm aware that WeedLion, BlueMonkey, and Bonks are members too, but sadly didn't make the cut for this story. Frankly, the only of the three I've actually seen play with the team is BlueMonkey (whose British accent is just adorable), so coming up with a personality for them would be guestimating, and I don't want to do that.

Other Youtubers

Einshine (Shine)

KermitPlaysMinecraft (Dakota)

AntVenom (Taylor)

CaptainSparklez (Jordan)

The Squid Army

Derpy Squid Mod

Retarded Squid Mod

When Squids Strike

Mutant Skeleton Mod (quoted some parts from it)

Final Comments

One of the challenges I had to deal with was basing the story inside Minecraft. I had to decide if I wanted to make everything blocky or somewhat normal. I couldn't for the life of me figure out how I'd explain that, so I left that ambiguous. I tried to stay true to the mechanics of Minecraft, not including things that couldn't be possible in the game. Them having cell phones would be the same as using the chat box in the game, but I couldn't very well say that they each had an 'inventory'. Oh, and about the whole Pokemon thing, pretend they have Pixelmon installed, k? K.

Then there was the biggest problem about this story: I had to base all of the characters off of real people. Sure, coming up with your own characters is easy, but mimicking someone's individual thoughts and actions? Completely different story. A simple solution to this would be to quote the person on things they've said before, and I did that quite a bit. Otherwise, I simply just had to go to each of their youtube channels and watch their videos to pick up what their personality is like (that was the fun part). When I started including the rest of Team Crafted, I felt that I needed to do them all justice and include unique elements from them, like Dillon and Jeffery from Jason's channel.

I feel like I've really grown as a writer from this little short story. Not necessarily by skill, but learning to be more creative with plotlines. Some things I'll need to get better at would definitely be to get more descriptive and cut down on dialogue. I abuse commas and semicolons, and I admit it. Some more variety in my word choice wouldn't hurt either. Also, I'm aware that there are a couple plot-holes, but all I'm going to say is that I'm not a professional with plots; I'm just a freshman in high school! Gimme a break, geez.

I'd like to thank my little sister for all of her support, suggestions, and constant badgering to finish chapters. This story is for you!

Finally, thank you to all of the readers for your patience and kind words. I'm glad some of you found my cheesy and cliche humor entertaining. I had fun, and I hope you did too. Well, that's all I have to say. I'm Nicki, and I'll see you fellow Sky Army recruits later! Bye! *salute*
