Please leave a pretty review :)
"So I'm thinking that by the beginning of March we should let the snow clear up a bit for a week, then we could-" Juvia stopped and huffed, seeing that Gray wasn't listening. He was sitting across from her, chin resting in his hand, completely zoned-out. "Gray!"
Said boy jerked back. "What?" he asked. He realized that Laxus was looking at him and Juvia wasn't happy. "Shit, sorry, continue." She started speaking again, but no words reached him. He was too busy thinking about what he is going to do about Cana. He has to let her go. While he's at it, he should cut all ties with Juvia that aren't business related. He wouldn' t want her getting any ideas because he was single.
"Juvia, just talk to him," Laxus said, rolling his eyes. "I'm going to go home. He' s not going to listen to us any time soon." He waved as he left the room, hoping that getting laid would help the poor kid out.
Juvia didn't even bother getting embarrassed about what Laxus said, despite knowing exactly what he meant by "talk to him." She was too worried about Gray to let simple teasing get to her. He wasn't the type to get distracted easily, so something was surely bothering him.
She reached to hold his hand from across the table, making him jerk back at the unexpected contact. "What's bothering you?" she asked gently.
Gray didn't even know where to begin that list. He was taking care of a teenager that couldn't remember anything but her first name. How had he managed to keep her hidden so far, anyways? Then there was Cana. He had to break up with her, but he wasn't sure how. She would certainly be upset, that was for sure, but he couldn't make her so upset she still shows up to his mansion all the time. He could always ask Grandine to wipe her memory, but that was cruel to do to someone. She'd just forget the past two years of her life. Although hurting Cana was an issue, that wasn't the main one with her. For some odd reason, he wasn't upset at all about having to leave her. He figured he would be a little upset, but he wasn't at all. Did he even love her? Or did he just love the idea of having something a normal twenty-two-year-old would have? The more he thought about it, the more he realized that was true.
Juvia just sat there, holding his hand and letting him think things over. She knew that he probably wouldn't talk to her, but just being there was enough for her.

"Oh, look at that!" Lucy yelled, running over to a shop.
Lyon couldn't help but laugh a little. While Laxus and Juvia had their meeting with Gray, he decided that he should take Lucy out into town a little bit. He couldn't believe that she was wearing a sundress, though. It was cold out! Even he, who has been in the cold all his life, had to wear a coat. But there she was, holding his hand and dragging him around to different shops.
The two went into the shop Lucy had ran to. It was a flower shop. Lyon knew the store owner pretty well. Her name was Meredy. She had been friends with Ultear when they were children. After Gray awoke his powers as a Guardian, they had all been allowed to go into town. The first place Ultear went was this flower shop, which was being run by Meredy's mother at the time. They were instantly friends. A year after Ultear disappeared, though, Meredy's mother died. Meredy decided to take-over the shop, keeping her mother's dream alive.
"Lyon!" Meredy chirped happily, running out of the back room. She was wearing her usual black thigh-high socks and a red dress with a yellow bow on it, which always revealed more cleavage than necessary. He was convinced that her apparel was the reason so many people came to her shop. She had a heavy blue cloak hanging up behind the main desk, which she wore if she went outside. The shop was very humid, so she usually had to dress lightly.
Lucy had already let go of Lyon's hand and started roaming the store. Lyon took the time to lean over the counter to talk to his friend. When Ultear left, Gray had shut himself away from the world. Lyon had remembered all the lives that Ultear had left aside from their own, so he made sure to cheer everyone up. He spent a lot of time with Meredy at the time. They both felt the same pain of Ultear leaving, since the two women were practically sisters, so they enjoyed having each other there. It was only natural that they became friends along the way.
"Did you finally manage to snatch up a girlfriend?" Meredy asked. She smiled at him, even though she was hurt. Her eye had been on him for years, but she never acted on her feelings. Still, she didn't enjoy watching him with another girl.
Lyon laughed. "No, I'm just taking her around town." He leaned in close. "Between you and me, we found her in the woods. Gray and I are watching her for now. We already checked all around town and no one is missing a daughter, so we're working on looking outside of the area."
Meredy smiled for real. "That's great! It's so nice of you to help her out like that." She watched the blonde for a moment. She was looking at all the different plants, running her fingers along smooth petals and rough stems. "Isn't is awkward having her live with two men, though? I would think she'd be uncomfortable with it, being a young adult like that."
"Young adult? Meredy, she's, like, fifteen." Lyon looked back to Lucy. She had the maturity of a thirteen-year-old, but there was no way she was younger than fifteen.
Meredy was taken aback. "Seriously? Lyon, she's at least eighteen." She wanted to laugh at Lyon's surprised face. "No girl can have that chest at fifteen, especially if they're that short. Geez, you and Gray are both clueless. Did you even ask her how old she was?"
Lyon nodded. "She doesn't remember anything but her first name. We just had to guess how old she was and everything."
Meredy looked up to the clock. "Oh! I have a delivering coming in a couple minutes." Flowers had to be imported in the winter, since the flowers wouldn't even grow in the greenhouse. "You two can just stay in here. If someone comes in looking for flowers help them, okay?" She scurried through the back room again, not waiting for Lyon to respond.
He sighed and went over to where Lucy was. She was looking at a small pot of flowers lilies that weren't fully grown yet. She had wonder in her eyes, feeling as if she should be doing something. Hesitantly, she reached out and moved her finger up the length of the stem. Surprising Lyon greatly, the flower grew a little. She closed her hands into a fist and opened her fingers moments later, the flower blooming greater than before.
Lucy's vision clouded over. Images began flashing through her mind. She could see metal bars where a window should be, flowers growing in the dirt there. Then she could see the view of someone running through a hallway with yellow walls, flowers sprouting up at the sides. At the end she could see a door, a figure standing before it. She reached out, but the person disappeared. She threw open the door. A blinding light enveloped everything.
"Lucy!'
She shrieked jumping to her feet. She looked at Lyon, who was staring with wide eyes. What was that? Was she in jail? That would explain the metal bars. But who was that person? And what about that door? Her mind was swirling. Was she remembering something from her past?
Lyon was asking the same question as Lucy. What exactly happened? She made a flower grow! What really scared him, though, was that after she grew the flower, everything in the shop went crazy. The lights all flickered and every plant grew ten times in size. He felt like he was in a jungle. When he called out her name and she stood up, it all went back to normal. There was no question about it. She was a Summer Guardian. Should he tell Gray?
No. He had to see if anything else happened that was weird. One freak incident didn't mean anything.
Just in case you ignored my note at the top, I'm going to put it again here because IT'S IMPORTANT!
