I am so sorry for the long wait, but fear not! Here is another one. BUT... I have good news and bad news... which one do you want to hear first? Okay let's start with the bad one, I'm writing my final exams so very nervous! _ so I won't be able to update until... around December, but hold onto your horses. The good news is that I made this chapter longer :D You may not feels that it is longer but trust me, it is! Anyways on with the story!

Disclaimer: I do not own Ranma or the other characters. If I did, I would lock them up in my closet :P

"You can run, but you cannot hide forever," Ukyo heard a voice, a deep, harsh kind of voice. "No matter where you run or hide, I will find you." The voice continued.

'No, stop it!' Ukyo wanted to scream, but when she opened her mouth… nothing came out. Tears started to spill out of her eyes. She moved her legs and tried to run the opposite direction of the voice, but… no matter how long or how far she ran, the mysterious voice would not disappear. 'Stay away from me!' she wanted to scream, yet again, nothing came out.

"I found you! Don't think for a second that you can escape from me!" the mysterious voice that was once deep and harsh, suddenly became fierce, like a predator killing its prey.

"NOOO!" Ukyo screamed out loud and threw her arms around an object nearby so quick that you would have thought that your eyes were deceiving you. She felt the warmth of her tears running down her cheek, as well as a soft and gentle pressure on her head. The injured girl heard another voice but unlike the previous voice, this one was gentle and calming.

"Shhh… it's alright, it's just a bad dream. You're safe, don't worry,"

Scared out of her wits, it did not register that the object she was clinging onto was no one but Mr. Hibiki himself.

Ryoga was sitting on the very edge of her bed and he had one arm over her shoulders and the other hand on her head, trying to calm the frightened girl.

"Shhh… it's alright. I got you. It's just a nightmare, there's nothing to be afraid of," he continued to whisper softly. His whisper was so soft that even if someone else had been in the room they would not have heard it.

Ukyo continued to cry but she was not as terrified as she was earlier on. Her arms around Ryoga that felt like metal chains, started to loosen as minutes passed.

After 15 minutes of calming the poor girl down, Ryoga also loosened his arms around her. Even though their arms were relaxed around each other's bodies, Ukyo was still leaning on his chest.

"Are you okay now?" Ryoga asked her, with the hint of anxiety in his voice.

Ukyo didn't answer right away but her answer was a soft 'yes'

"Must I get you some water to drink?"

Again, Ukyo didn't answer but instead of saying 'yes' she gave a small nod.

Receiving the message, Ryoga gently removed himself from her and limped towards the door. After walking a few steps away from the door, he realized that there was already an extra glass cup by his bed, as well as a jug filled with water. The bandana guy turned around and tried to retrace his steps or he would get lost. Finally getting back to his room safely, he closed the door quietly and looked over at Ukyo's side; he noticed that she was still awake but completely zoned out.

He filled up the glass of water and walked to Ukyo to hand her the water. Tiredly, Ukyo looked at him sleepily and took the glass of water from his strong hand, their fingers gently creased against one another. Ryoga noticed that her hand was cold and soft. He tried his very best not to blush because that would be very awkward, I mean come on, you don't blush like a maniac just by touching a girl's finger tips.

After Ukyo received the water and took a small sip from it, she placed it next to her bed. "Thanks" she made eye contact with him as she gave him her gratitude.

"Ah… uhm… p-pleasure," the fanged boy could feel a slight warmth forming on his cheeks. No Ryoga! Don't get attached to her! You are in love with Akane, he thought to himself as he placed his cold hands against his cheek to cool it off. After that, he walked (limped) towards his own bed and before he climbed into it, he stole another quick look at Ukyo's direction. Seeing that everything is fine, he went to bed and closed his eyes to sleep and get ready for the next day.

"HEY, RYOGA HIBIKI! WAKE UP DAMMIT!" a loud voice boomed in the sleeping boy's ears.

"Hmmmm whaaaaaat?" he mumbled sleepily and tossed over to the other side.

"Hibiki, if you don't get your butt out of this bed I am going to drag your sorry ass down the hallway!" The voice now sounded very threatening.

"Go away… Can't you see I am trying to sleep dammit!" the boy on the bed growled as he pulled the blanket over his head to shield out the sound of the annoying voice.

A heavy sigh was the response he received.

Thank goodness it is gone now, he thought as he could no longer sense the present of the other person who was pestering him a few minutes ago.

As he was about to drift off again, he felt a gust of wind and his body suddenly fell cold. "What the f-"

"Hibiki, get up now! You are going to be late for your 1 hour physiotherapy session!"

"Physio- wah? I don't remember signing up for that!" Ryoga sat up from his bed and his eyes met a pair of turquoise coloured eyes which belonged to a brown haired beauty that was standing in front of his bed with her arms crossed.

"It doesn't matter, just go already! You are already 20 minutes late for your session!"

Ryoga's voice rose to match Ukyo's, "I don't need it! I also don't have the money for it!"

"Its fine, they said you have medical insurance so it's for free." The brown haired girl loosened her arms across her chest and it fell to her sides. "Now quit sitting there looking like a complete jackass and go with the nurse to your physiotherapy session!" Ukyo now looked more relaxed but her voice was still harsh.

The bandana boy looked at the door and saw a very short nurse with glasses, clutching onto her clip board and looking very uncomfortable. He guessed the reason why she looked uncomfortable was because he and Ukyo were shouting at each other.

He slowly got out of bed and was careful not to put too much strain on his injured ankle and limped towards the door.

After Ryoga left with the nurse to his physiotherapy session, Ukyo turned her whole body a complete 180° due to her injured neck. She could move it slightly thanks to her session with the physiotherapist earlier on but she was warned that if she does anything extremely physical and reckless, her neck would be permanently damaged.

She walked to her bed and before she went into it, she turned her body towards the clock that was hanging on the wall.

"Damn, it's almost lunch time," She muttered to herself as she slowly climbed into bed. "I wonder what's for lunch..."

(2 days later)

"Hey Ranma, I'm going to the hospital today," Akane informed the pigtailed boy as they were sparring together in the Tendo training hall after school.

"Huh? Why?"

"Well, I just want to see how Ryoga and Ukyo are doing," The navy haired girl threw a punch towards her fiancé and of course he blocked it easily.

Ranma blocked one of Akane's high kicks and threw a small punch at her himself, "They are fine I tell you. No need to worry Akane."

"I know but I don't know why but I just have a bad feeling and I also need to give Ukyo her homework."

"Okay fine, but I am coming with you though!" Ranma jumped back and folded his arms across his chest.

Akane stopped sparring as well and walked towards the door of the Tendo dojo, "Do whatever you want. Just don't provoke Ryoga like you always do."

A smile played on the corners of her fiancé's mouth, "I won't make any promises."

"You stupid jackass!" A shriek could be heard from Ukyo and Ryoga's room from the corridor.

"What the hell are you going on about, woman?" Another voice harsh voice followed. "I didn't do anything!"

"Hibiki! You left your crutches on the floor again! I tripped over them... AGAIN!" Ukyo put a lot of emphasis on the last word as if the situation has occurred more than twice.

"Then watch out where you are walking STUPID!" Ryoga mocked her by saying the last word in a girly voice.

"For the thousandth time I've told you, I CAN'T LOOK DOWN BECAUSE OF MY NECK!" Blood started to rise to Ukyo's face as she glared at the boy and stormed towards her own bed. "Baka," she muttered under her breath.

Hearing her mutter, Ryoga returned her insult, "Stupid tomboy."

That. Triggered Ukyo's outburst, "WHY YOU SON OF A B-" She threw the blanket off of her and held a fist in front of her face while staring daggers at him.

Just as Ukyo was about to say the dreadful word, a nurse came in and interrupted the raged girl, "Uhm, excuse me miss but what were you going to say?"

"Ahhhhh... nothing?"

"Yeah Ucchan, just what were you going to say?" A familiar voice came from behind the nurse and instantly, Ukyo knew who the voice belonged to.

Smirking slightly, she responded back to the boy, "No words that you haven't heard."

"Miss Kuonji, if you want your neck to recover properly. I would advise you to stop moving around recklessly." The same nurse interrupted as she wrote something in her clip board and walked out of the room.

As Ukyo was about to say something, Ryoga's words cut through hers, "Hmph... a klutz like her might as well stay handicapped forever because we all know sooner or later she is going to do something that involves her falling flat on her face."

A vein popped in Ukyo's head, "That's IT! I AM TIRED OF BEING STUCK HERE WITH THIS ARROGENT JERK! LET ME AT HIM!" The brown haired girl barked with fury.

Before Ukyo could tear the bandana boy into shreds, a female's voice interrupted and that voice made his cheeks flame into the colour of redness, "Ryoga! That wasn't really polite of you. Apologize to Ukyo."

Extremely embarrassed, the fanged boy just looked down and mumbled a very soft 'sorry'.

The pig tailed boy used his fist and hit Ryoga on the head very hard, enough for the blush to disappear instantly, "HEY! RANMA! What the hell was that for you jerk?!" Ryoga shouted and made a fist himself and aimed it at his attacker.

Blocking the attack with the palm of his hand, Ranma shouted back at the injured boy in bed, "Hey you are the jerk here you pig-boy! Apologize to Ucchan properly!"

"Fine! I'm sorry okay?" he huffed tediously.

"Ryoga Hibiki..." Ranma let go of Ryoga's fist and put his hand on top of the fanged boy's head and leaned in towards his ear, "Ryoga, don't forget our little deal. You have to look after Ukyo and treat her nicely otherwise you can kiss that date with Akane goodbye!" Ranma growled a bit.

Ryoga's eyes went big but he quickly wiped the shock face off and sighed, "Okay, okay, fine." He then faced Ukyo and looked deep into her turquoise eyes. Hmm? What is this? Ryoga thought. What is this feeling I get when I look into her eyes? It seems like... sadness? No. It's more than that... it's more like regret, pain and anger mixed into one look.

"I'm very sorry Ukyo. Please forgive me, I didn't mean to be offensive," He said softly.

"It's alright, just please don't ever do that again," Ukyo's rage cooled down immediately because the way Ryoga apologized to her, it tugged on her heart strings.

"Right. Since all the drama is gone now, how are you doing Ucchan? I'm glad to see you are doing well now," Ranma smiled at his childhood best friend as he sat on the edge of her bed.

A small blush appeared on Ukyo's cheeks and she gave him a warm smile, "Thank you and I'm feeling much better."

"Oh Ukyo, I bought you your homework," Akane's voice with a slight hint of irritation cut through Ukyo's and Ranma's conversation.

Ukyo noticed the tiny irritated tone in Akane's voice but she chose to ignore it, "Errr... Thanks."

The navy haired girl walked to the girl on the bed and put the books on her lap, "Holy crap! Did I really miss this much work?!" She said in a very surprised voice.

"Yeah, what did you think? You missed around 1 to 2 weeks of school so of course you have a lot of homework,"

"Ahhh damn, I guess I have to try and catch up then," Ukyo mumbled miserably.

"Don't worry Ucchan. It's not difficult at all; you can self-learn most of them,"

"Phew, thank goodness. I thought I would have to stay up every night to lean the stuff," The okonomiyaki chef placed a hand over her chest and let out a sigh of relief.

"Oh Ryoga, you don't go to school right?" Akane turned her head towards Ryoga's direction.

"Uhm... Yeah..." Ryoga looked down with embarrassment.

"You should come then, it is really fun and you will be able to make lots of friends,"

"Really? Uhm... I-I never r-really thought about that," The bandana boy was still looking down and started to play with his fingers nervously.

"You should really come! It will be better for you and it also might be easier for you to fit in because you already know me, Ranma, Ukyo and a few others," Akane now sounded more enthusiastic and smiled brightly.

Ryoga looked up and saw the smile plastered on his crush's face and he could feel his heart speeding a bit. Oh shit... She is smiling at me, He thought as he continued to look at her.

"Hey Akane, I thought we just came here to drop Ucchan's books," Ranma's voice called out to his fiancé.

"Oh shoot! That reminds me, Kasumi asked me to buy some groceries on the way home and shops close early on Fridays," Akane gasped as she checked her watch.

"What are we waiting for? Let's go then," Ranma threw an arm around his her shoulders playfully and headed out to the door.

"B-Bye Ranchan, bye Akane! Thanks for dropping by and for the books," Ukyo called out with a hint of disappointment.

"Bye!" Both of them called out the same time.

"Bye," Ryoga said softly as his eyes stayed on them until they left his sight. After they left he turned towards Ukyo's direction and his eyes widened.

She may not have said anything but actions speak louder than words and Ryoga knew how she was feeling even without her opening her mouth. She was on her bed, staring at the books with her hands gripping on the bag tightly.

He decided to break the silence, "So Ukyo, do you like Ranma?" He knew he was being a bit too forward but there was no other way to ask.

"H-Huh? Ah... Of course I do!"

"No, I mean like-like. The like when your heart aches when you see them with someone else,"

"Uhm... Yeah. Yes, I actually love him very much, but he only sees me as sister material, nothing else," Ukyo's voice now sounded very sad. "How about you Ryoga? Do you love someone?"

A shy smile appeared on his face, "Yes, I do. She means the world to me," His smile fell as he said the next part of the sentence, "but she is someone else's world now,"

Already knowing who Ryoga was talking about, Ukyo gave him a small smirk, "Well, I guess we finally have something in common now,"

"Yeah I guess so,"

I don't think I made too many mistakes but if I did, just point it out to me.
