The dark room glowed slightly as Luna connected once more with the silver crystal. The remaining senshi looked intently upon their princess' body lying motionlessly on the bed.
Artemis lightly stepped closer to Luna and looked amongst the girls. "In order for this to be successful Luna must maintain the connection without fail. I am going to assist her in doing so." He shrugged. "Unfortunately, this will place us all in a state of vulnerability."
Mamoru stepped forward and looked at each of the girls setting his eyes on Monaco. "I will be standing guard, should any danger approach." He smiled slightly at the blond.
Rei gritted her teeth. "Whatever we need to do." She set her eyes on Usagi, hoping that despite the unfounded trust she would need to place in the jerk in front of her she would do it for her."
Haruka spoke in a low tired voice. "Then let's do this." Her chest tightened, on the way over the others has stated the theory of Hotaru's change. On one end she knew it was impossible that Hotaru would once again accept the darkness, however a small sliver of her dreamed that she had which would mean her daughter was still alive. She breathed old and grabbed her transformation wand.
With a nod the other senshi transformed a spiral of colors flowing out of the dark confines of the temple. As the light dissipated and the room became dark again Luna whispered. "It's like transporting, but focus your location on Usagi, I can open it up inside but you girls will have to find the way." She breathed out sharply already finding it difficult to maintain the link. "This has never been done before, and to be honest I am not sure the dangers to Usagi. Be mindful not to interfere as much as possible, locate Usagi's true self and from there the answers are unknown."
Makoto looked to Ami who stood next to her and reached out her hand nervously. She nearly flinched as the blue haired genius clasped on to her hand gently. Her deep blue eyes connected with hers for the slightest second before flicking away causing the new familiar pain to generate in her gut. To her left Haruka grabbed her left hand more tightly, bringing her attention back to the situation at hand.
As the senshi circled Usagi's body they closed their eyes, and yelled out "Sailor Teleport"
A blue toothbrush clinked down into the debts of a pure white porcelain sink. The heavy flow of the water turning the white and red foam down the drain. Above it a foggy mirror depicted an image Sage was terrified of. Her skin now perfection, with the exception of a thin white scar running down her cheek on half of her usual calm blue eyes had turned a dark purple. She breathed out heavily as the burn in her stomach flared up again and she cursed. "Fuck…" She clenched at her stomach claws outstretching. She clenched her eyes and mentally forced the beast to abide by her, but it was so hungry, she was so hungry.
She grabbed the robe behind her draping over her naked form and stepped away from her changing image. To see the beast slipping out into her regular form was disturbing at the least. For nearly a week since her scene out of a Japanese horror form, where she ate and enjoyed a human mans heart, she had been in what she had almost accepted to be a permanent transformation of wolf form. Sage gulped down another class of water and collapsed into her black leather sofa.
The last week had comprised of her running around the town in wolf form trying to fight back the constant hunger, no addiction, and calming her mind enough to effectively seek out the senshi. It wasn't until she had stood over their motionless bodies the previous night that she remembered fully who she was, like a fog parting. Again, the pain in her stomach erupted as she remembered the taste of the aqua haired woman's blood on her teeth, and the struggle it had been to make it to the hospital. Admittedly, the beast didn't yearn for the senshi like the humans, but the state of withdrawal had altered its taste.
From her left the phone rang abruptly a shrill in her ears. She awkwardly grabbed hold of the cell phone, hitting the speak button in laziness. He voice croaked out tiredly. "Hello"
The authoritative voice of her police captain barked out at her. "Officer Krieg… How kind of you to answer the phone. I was wondering if there was a mistake in this paperwork and you actually had died."
Sage gulped clenching the phone more tightly. "Captain sir! I am so sorry" She looked around and spotted the many pills on the table she had been prescribed by the nagging old doctor. At the thought of the Mizuno tribe she blushed slightly a flash of Ami in her mind. "I have been out like a light on these meds they provided me."
The deep voice of the captain growled with some hesitation. "…. I see… Listen you sick leave ran out yesterday.." A small pause crossed over the phone. "If you want to keep your job I am going have to insist that you come in tonight. We are short handed, and we need every hand on deck with all the activity going on with this T corp. in our unit." He groaned unhappily at the mention of the corporation. "You will be here by 8 sharp or you will be submitting your resignation."
With his firm statement the beep of the phone signified the conversation had ended. Sage groaned slipping down into the sofa more deeply. She let the cell phone slip from her hand onto the clink of the floor and stared at the ceiling. She moaned "An ultimatum huh?" Her back relaxed, honestly the phone call was somewhat of a relief as she was certain she had already lost her position on the force. As her stomach grumbled with another bout of hunger pains she sighed out. "Do you really have a choice?" She lolled her head before bouncing up out of the sofa and to the hall closet. As the light filled its confines the dark blue and black uniform, as she touched it she twitched a flash of the black werewolf bearing down on running across her eyes. As she her pulse quickened she forced herself to breath and seethed out grabbing the uniform. "You deserve your life."
Ami was the first to appear in a realm of pure white the immense light forcing her to adjust her eyes. She lifted up her hand to shield her eyes, when he bare hand caught her attention. She looked down her body barely recognizing the light blue gown she once wore long ago. She looked up as Rei appeared next to her a red miko's outfit adorning the symbol of Mars across the sash tucked at her waist. Ami whispered. "Royalty form…."
Rei looked down in curiosity and shared the look of awe with Ami. "Can you recall this?" She reached out her fingers gliding down the soft fabric of Mars. The silky smoothness sending chills up her spine.
Ami nodded. "Only vaguely…" She nearly jumped as Makoto, Haruka, and Minako appeared in their various fashions. She grimaced seeing Makoto in a light green princess gown ogling a golden glowing Minako, showing more skin than usual. Unsurprisingly, Haruka stood tall in a gleaming navy blue armor.
Haruka took only a moment to look at the various changes of the senshi before strutting forward down a hallway of large white columns. Her deep voice echoed in the vast structure. "We can't forget the mission."
Minako nodded and awkward attempted to pull up her strapless dress to conceal he much revealed cleavage. "How the hell am I supposed to fight like this?" She breathed out and looked to her left seeing a wide-eyed Makoto whose eyes were lingering. The unusual look caused her face to reddened.
Rei stomped past Ami and grabbed onto Minako's arm. "We have to find Usagi." She quickened her pace catching up to the gloomy Haruka and stomping down the hall causing the others to follow.
As the group traveled down the long hallway they grew closer to a gigantic white double door. The realm was completely silent, a strange peace that oddly resembled to realm of time. Ami looked around recognizing the similarity, and questioning whether indeed part of this world held the gates of time, somehow it didn't seem so far fetched.
Makoto's eyes traveled up the large door and she whispered. "This is inside Usagi's mind?" She walked close to the marble door and pressed her palm against the cold stone. In a flash, the brunette disappeared.
Minako and Ami cried out. "Makoto!" The two instinctively ran towards the door and pressed their hands against it disappearing in a flash.
Rei sighed walking forward with an outreached hand. "No use in caution now."
Haruka nodded in agreement and simultaneously the two disappeared.
The senshi appeared in a large circular room with nine rooms, each a different color. In the center of the room upon the dark marble floor the moon emanated below, as if the senshi were standing on space itself.
Rei gasped. "Could this be…?" She spun around looking at each of the doors. Calming herself she focused trying to sense Usagi's presence. Her energy was everywhere and nowhere. It still felt as if she was out of reach.
Ami inquisitively looked at the surroundings each door holding an emblem above it signifying it's respective planetary sign. As her eyes landed on the door of Saturn she realized the door itself held a large crack down the middle. She looked to the others. "I believe we are in the crystal. It makes sense, Usagi and the crystal are so closely aligned they are one. One can't survive without the other, and they are truly connected."
Makoto focused on the door of Jupiter reaching out to touch it but stopped as Haruka shouted. "Don't touch it! Don't you learned?" She yanked the brunette's shoulder yanking her back. "We don't have time for you to doddle. We are here for Hotaru, not you…" She grimaced her emotions getting the better of her. "I mean the princess…"
Minako placed her hand on the navy blue shoulder armor. "We are here for both." Strutting towards the door of Saturn she looked back at the others. "If you were Usagi, and your senshi was in trouble where would you go?"
Ami's eyes flicked up and down towards the door of Saturn. "She would leap forward without concern for herself, and try to save Hotaru."
Minako nodded. "Exactly… Then we will do the same…" She waited as the others drew near. "Together…. 3..2.1.." Each woman placed a hand on the cracked door and vanished.
The cold air nipped at Clarissa's pale skin as she looked up the long stairwell in front of her. Her human disguise barely passing due to her sickly white complexion. She sighed tapping her foot impatiently. "Operating on her own time as usual." She clicked her nails against her upper arm. She dug them in as she heard the familiar click clack of high heels behind her.
Julia breathed out heavily. "Don't even… It took longer to arrange than we predicted." Her eyes glowed a deep green. "Humans… so unreliable." She reached behind her head letting the tight brown bun down and releasing wild locks. Turning her head she looked to the long stairwell begrudgingly. "Can't we just?" She eyed the white demon.
Clarissa frowned. "And risk them sensing our presence?" She scoffed. "I didn't walk 2 miles here to become lazy now." She lifted her slender leg onto the first step and began the climb, Julia following suit. "You are certain this is the time."
Julia breathed out heavily, the control it took to suppress her powers remaining a constant struggle. "Our king would not mislead us. The senshi will be ours tonight." A certain gleam of pride shined in her eyes.
Clarissa scoffed. "Your king…." She shrugged her shoulders continuing the climb, however the situation came about it wouldn't matter so long as she could get her hands on the ice senshi's heart. Her pulse quickened in excitement as she pondered how the power a senshi coursing through her veins would feel. A nasty grin crossed her face. "The blue bitch is mine you understand?"
Julia raised one eyebrow. "I don't suppose this has to do with why your sister will not be joining us tonight does it?" Julia smirked. "Is it because she took her wolf?" She felt a warm laugh building, knowing the chaos she had creates forced the wolf to take a senshi as its master.
Clarissa stopped in her tracks clenching her hand at the implication. "The wolf will be ours soon anyhow." She clicked her tongue reaching the top of the stairs to reveal the poorly lit shrine. "It's time."
Julia rose up to the final step taking her place by Clarissa. "So it is." She looked to the older demon. "Shall we?" Her eyes bled out green goo, which sent scales down her body revealing a snake like composure. In her right hand she formed a vast amount of green energy, and in a flash she shot it upward into the atmosphere. As the energy exploded the numerous clouds above sent a thrilling green across the expansive sky.
Sorry if there are a lot of typos… I am having to write it from the phone as my computer crashed. Alas, the story was calling to me this week.
