Charles Gunn followed the turn by turn direction given to him by his GPS. He pulled up to the school and threw the Jeep wrangler in to park. He took off his sunglasses and looked up at the school. He sighed "So this is my new home?"

Beck Travers pulled up just a few seconds later parking his motorcycle next to the jeep. He looked at the stranger. He got off the bike. "Can I help you with something?'

Gunn turned looking to him. "Name is Charles Gunn. Angel called me in saying this is the new base of operations."

Beck stuck out his hand. "Well welcome to Cleveland Charles."

Gunn shook the hand then opened the door to the jeep pulling out a rather large duffle bag. "Wondering if you can point me in the direction of where I might be able to find Angel."

Beck nodded "Of course. Just follow me and I will get you where you need to go."

Gunn followed him in to the school. They walked a few feet as Illyria crossed in front of them. Gunn smiled.

"Hey Blue Girl."

She glared at him not liking the nickname. "My name is Illyria. You have returned from your battle I can see."

Gunn nodded, "Thought I would see what you guys are up to. I just got here. Beck here is taking me to see Angel."

Illyria looked at him. "I am going to see him right now. "

Beck looked at Illyria for a second. "Well if she's going there why don't you just follow her?"

Gunn smiled. "Sounds good. It was nice meeting you Beck."

Beck just nodded and smiled "Likewise."

Illyria leads the way in to the basement. Angel and Spike were already waiting. So when she opened the door and Gunn was following her it was a bit of a surprise to Angel.

Angel just looked at his friend. "Gunn you made it."

Gunn nodded and put his bag down. "Had some loose ends to tie up."

Illyria stood there looking slightly annoyed "You called me here. So can I ask what it is you desire?"

Spike smirked "Enough with the welcome back I guess. Time to get to business."

Gunn sat on the edge of the bed. "There is business?"

Angel looked around putting a finger up. "Wait." He went to the door pulling the door shut. He lowered his tone. "For now I need to know that everything that is said in this room is left in this room." They all nodded in agreement. Angel put his hands in to his pocket. "So we all recently found out that Xander Harris had taken the powers of Gormagon for himself."

Illyria looked straight ahead almost looking through him. "I've known for a while."

Spike stood up. "Wait. You've known? How?"

In a monotone voice she said. "Beings of pure power can sense other beings of power."

Angel snapped at her. "Wait you've known all this time and you didn't tell any of us."

She walked past him. "You didn't ask?"

Now Gunn was the one who was confused. "I've been reading the liner notes on what you sent me. So this Harris is like super sized now"

Angel just nodded. "And the power is rooted in pure darkness."

Spike leaned against the wall. "Angel thinks that the longer we wait the stronger he gets. The stronger he gets the more that darkness grows."

Gunn looked confused. "So we weapon up and take him down before it is to late. What is the problem?"

Spike shook his head. "It's not that easy. This guy has a lot of friends here powerful friends."

Angel pointed at Spike. "You are partially right but not entirely. I've been feeling things out lately. Not all of the slayers are happy about this. Some of them feel like they've been lied to. Not just slayers. Some powerful witches."

Gunn stood up. "So that is why we are all cloak and dagger down here. We don't know who is with us and who is against us."

Angel crossed his arms. "I want to build an army and then we will deal with this with the appropriate action."

Spike shook his head. "Buffy is not going to like this."

Angel closed his eyes. "Yeah I know. That's why we have to keep this quiet. Not just from Buffy but Dawn and Willow. Anyone who will blindly give him his or her loyalty." Angel stepped in the center of the room. "I can trust all of you to keep this quiet."

They all nodded making their own pact. Angel looked at Gunn. "Come on I'll introduce you around help you to get a room."

In the school gym Xander was bouncing the basketball while Dawn sat on the cold floor just watching him take shot practice.

"So you got that whole running really fast thing. Are you bullet proof?"

Xander shrugged shooting the basketball watching it go in perfect. "I don't know."

"You don't know? How can you not know?"

Xander shook his head and laughed. "Hey you know how you find out if you are bullet proof. You get shot. If I am not then I die."

"Yeah don't test the bullet proof theory. Oh what about stretchy. You know like elastic man."

"No I'm not stretchy." Xander took another shot, as it was another swish. The gym door opened and Xander saw who it was that opened it. Giles was standing in the doorway.

Xander just kept dribbling the ball pretending he wasn't there. Giles crossed to him. Dawn offered her usual smile.

"Hello Giles."

"Good afternoon Dawn. Do you think I could have a few minutes with Xander?"

She looked at Giles. "Are you here to hurt him? You know like some kind of kryptonite or something."

Giles looked confused. "Kryptonite?"

Xander smirked and looked at her. "It's okay Dawn. If I need you I'll scream like a little girl."

With that Dawn got up and left the two of them alone. Giles looked at Xander "How are you feeling Xander?"

Xander dropped the ball and turned to him. "Are you asking if I feel okay or if I a feeling a little extra charged?"

"When I found out at first I was conflicted. I wanted to help you but I felt hurt that you couldn't come to me."

Xander just chuckled turning back to the basketball hoop and picking it up taking another shot. "Sucks don't it. I mean someone you trust and feeling like they don't trust you."

Giles shook his head. "I thought we were through this. I thought we worked past what happened with Ethan Rayne."

Xander shook his head and took another shot. "Maybe I forgave you but that doesn't mean" He stopped and turned around "Forget it."

"If you have something on your mind."

"Fine I think it sucked. Giles it seems silly to you I'm sure but you don't realize how much I respect you. I get there was a point where I was the annoying kid who called you G man and went on donut runs. I think I've come a long way since those days and when you."

"Xander it wasn't my call to make. It was Hope and Beck who made the choice. If I had known it would have had this effect I would have stood firm and said we need a change of plans."

"YOU SHOULD HAVE." He tossed the ball angry against the concrete wall and the ball exploded. Giles jumped back a little shocked by the power. Xander realized when he lost his temper now there was more power. It wasn't anything he wouldn't have done two months ago but then the ball would have bounced off the wall and not exploded. He shook his head. "I'm sorry." He shook his head and looked down. "Fine I never said it but yeah it hurt. A few months ago when you and Hope and Beck came up with that plan I was pissed."

"Xander."

"I know I offered forgiveness to everyone and the thing with Hope and Beck I get it. They hadn't been working with me long so I guess I understand. You though were different. I would back you up if you needed me to. Back you up in a second."

"Why are you telling me this now?"

Xander shrugged and went over to the now broken basketball He started picking the pieces of rubber up off the floor. "You ever sat on something a while and the more you think about it the more it bothers you." He looked at the basketball. "Sorry about the ball."

"Working out anger is good but remember you aren't the same guy you used to be. You can do much more damage." He stepped closer to Xander. "So that's why you didn't tell me."

Xander let out a breath and shook his head. "I didn't tell you Giles cause I didn't know how you would react. Giles you have always been for the good of the world kind of guy. "

"And you are thinking I thought that destroying you might have been for the good of the world."

"Who knows Giles? It might be. Buffy doesn't want to face that reality but there is a real possibility Giles that."

Giles put his hand on Xander's shoulder. "I don't want you to think about that. I want you to know that we are going to find a way."

Xander looked down "I'm afraid Giles. I don't know if I've ever been this afraid. I feel like I'm a bomb and any moment I could explode and take out everyone I care about. I don't want to hurt anyone Giles."

"Xander you have power in you that is beyond reason. I'm not talking about anything given to you by Gormagon. I'm talking about real strength. Use that strength and have faith that we will be able to figure this out."

Xander nodded "Thank you Giles."

"For what it's worth I've called in every favor from anyone I know who could know anything at all about Gormagon."

"I don't know if it will help but it's appreciated." He looked at Giles "I think I'm going to get some air. Go for a run."
With that Xander took off running. As he ran out of the school gates he was pulled away from where he was in a second. Some one had used magic to teleport Xander from where he was to a new location. He stopped running as he felt himself being pulled. He recognized the location instantly. It was Gormagon's last stand. What he was doing back there was beyond him.

He stood on the Cleveland Hellmouth unsure how he got there. As his eyes adjusted to the dark he knew he wasn't alone. Just then a switch was flipped as the room was filled with light. Xander squinted for a second. A man stood in front of a couple demons and vampires. He was clearly the talking piece for the group.

"We are the Disciples of Gormagon. We served by his side for more time then you can fathom."

Xander looked at the various beasts and vamps that looked none to happy to see him. "Not sure how that effects me."

"I'm the warlock Tiberius and I have brought you here for a reason. You were the one who slaughtered the one we looked to as our God. Our loyalty to Gormagon was such we would gladly die to honor his name."

Xander sucked in a breath trying to hide his fear. "Well I am the one who killed Gormagon. I have all his power now so If I could kill him with out any powers imagine what I could do to all of you now."

Tiberius stepped to Xander. "We are not here for conflict. We are here to offer our services to you." In one fail swoop every demon, vampire or beast dropped to one knee kneeling in front of Xander as they all rallied one single chant. "All Hail Xander Harris"

Xander backed up a little confused. "Didn't see that one coming."
