Hello guys! Not much to say here except I hope you enjoy this chapter. The mercenaries aren't really important to the plot except slight hints to who the boss might be. They are only a one chapter thing, reasons mentioned in the chapter before. On another note I'd like to thank cecebeec, Vaerith, RavenNightingGale, Katatonic97, Cookiezfreak, 2Kool4FoolsKid, Esmika, LauraFoxTail, sabrina-luna potter, sekacnapydnacstarshine006, MidnightPhantomFire.56, Sessho-Kagome4ever and Free Alchemist and also Sky-Dragon-Twilight and I cannot forget the latest follower to the fiction devilhuntermistress for your continued support!
Now let the search continue! BEWARE: This chapter is super jumpy!
Lucy and Mizuko were taking care of the mercenary with ease. Back to back hits, not allowing the mercenary to attack. After all offense is the best defence!
"Okay Aries. Wool Bomb!" The pink haired, now tanned, celestial spirit gathered wool around her hand and stretched her arm forward releasing the wool in a spiral fashion hitting said mercenary against the boulder making him pass out.
Mizuko and Lucy hi-fived each other ecstatic over their victory! It was short lived however as their purple haired foe rose up again. Only... there was something wrong with him. His arm was made of metal, no doubt, but now there were metal... veins almost coursing through his body. His eyes, the grey eyes of his now a bloody crimson red and his movements were rigged and he didn't tire out!
"Virus infection!" He screamed and his cyber arm transformed into a laser gun of some sort and started to shoot out chunks of purple lumps.
"Open," Lucy started but had to roll out of the way to avoid the purple substance. "Gate of the lion, Loke!" The lion in a suit came in a puff of sparkling smoke.
"I'm here for you mistress!" Loke said, bowing down.
"Water Dragon's Roar!" Mizuko screamed as she released the hydrant based attack on the cyborg. He stumbled back a bit but that was all the damage that was done. Before said cyborg could react Loke hit him in the gut before leaping back and using a second attack with 'Regulus Punch' sending him flying with a bright yellow fist. The force of the attack sent him flying with a bright yellow trail following him.
"Rising Claw of the Water Dragon!" Mizuko screamed as she leapt into the air. She lifted one leg up and water surrounded it with three rings. She then zoned in on her target and unleashed the attacks sending him flying.
"Mizuko... Do you think it's over?" Lucy asked.
"Should be... Gosh that was some weird trump card!" Mizuko commented smiling.
"Yeah let's get to the others!" Lucy said running towards the others.
Erza clashed swords with the mercenary temporarily distracting him as Natsu kicked him in the back with a flame induced foot sending him crashing into the ground. Then in a flash Erza switched from her Fairy Empress Amour into her Flame Empress Armour and hit him with a flame slash knocking him out instantly.
"That guy was really boring, Erza!" Natsu complained as he yawned and stretched.
"I must say Natsu he didn't put up much of a fight." Erza agreed. "Oh well, time to find the others."
The two red heads ran off to Laxus' and Gajeel's location just as Lucy and Mizuko arrived to their previous spot.
"Lucy, there's another unconscious villain." Mizuko pointed out.
"The others have been here. Let's move on!" Lucy devised and with a nod from Mizuko moved on forward
Laxus and Gajeel ran out of the direction of the impeding metallic arrow that was sent their way. The blonde female jumped and clamped her legs together spiralling her way towards Laxus.
"Spiral Arrow!"
She came at an incredible speed it was so fast she couldn't stop even if she wanted to. Laxus mockingly sidestepped the attack as she became trapped in the boulders merged together by Gajeel who she hadn't been paying attention to.
The two dragon slayers gave a nod and embedded their fists in their respective dragon element and punched her in the head, knocking her out.
"I thought they were supposed to kill us!" Laxus scoffed.
"Not with those skills they weren't. Something stinks about this?" Gajeel said trying to sniff the air.
"What her fighting skills!" Laxus joked. The two of them shard a laugh before they were joined by Erza and Natsu. They were shortly joined by Lucy and Mizuko.
"What do we do now?" Lucy asked.
"Well the best thing to do is to advance!" Erza strategized pointing her sword in the air.
With a cry of agreement the others stepped forward. Stepped right onto a fake pebble which was actually a button. This button activated a trap which sent the bunch falling into a seeming endless pit.
"DAAAAMN IT!" Natsu screamed as he fell down the pit.
"Now why would master go and do that, knowing how much we want to fight..." Rorak said to himself his tone revealing, slightly, the agitation he felt.
"How am I supposed to know?" Aisha scowled at her crush as she tried desperately to hide her blush.
Rorak rolled his eyes, 'She won't give me an opening. I won't be able to toy with her if she keeps at this!' Rorak thought as he did his surprising next course of action.
He kissed Aisha full on the lips and walked out the door as if nothing happened. Had he stayed any longer he would've seen a girl with a face as red as her hair and the blood escaping her nostrils as she made nonsensical noises.
Rogue nodded his head as he heard Aurora and Terra's story. Sting and Cobra had -rudely- interrupted the story by trying and clearly failing to escape the prison and were now lying unconscious on the ground.
"Anyway since we got her we've tried lots of ways to escape since but to no use..." Aurora said.
"We both went in dragon force and even with our special in dragon force we couldn't escape." Terra added on.
Rogue looked at his shadow that was outside the cage. It was normal at first but then turned into a figure with a sadistic smile. Rogue scowled and scoffed at the same time. His shadow was taunting him, trapped in his body yet freer than he was.
Rogue was not about to give in, but he looked at Terra and Aurora they really needed to find their friend could he trust his shadow? Again he looked at the shadow then back at the duo.
"Damn it all!" Rogue said until he remembered something. He could travel in shadows! Dodged a bullet there.
He jumped for the space in between the bars and quickly turned into a shadow. Luckily there was not ground bar so his magic wasn't sent flying back to the wall. He materialised and grabbed the keys that were hanging on the hook on the wall.
Villains always made it easy to escape.
The shadow mage unlocked the gate and Aurora and Terra bolted outside of the room. Finally they were free.
"Wait how are we supposed to wake Sting and Cobra?"
Rogue looked towards the pee bucket and wiggled his eyebrows. Aurora giggled as she lifted it up by the handle and froze the urine inside then (as the two lied down together face to face) she turned the urine flavoured popsicle on top of them and let it shatter on their faces waking them up instantly.
Sting wriggled his nose. "What's that smell? It stinks!"
Cobra mimicked his actions and sniffed Sting's face. "You smell of piss..." Cobra commented.
"You smell like piss!" Sting truthfully rebutted after smelling Cobra. The trio responsible couldn't stop laughing but through laughs Terra managed to choke out, "Let's go, we don't want to get caught again!"
"Okay," Cobra began, "We'll split up, you and ice girl, then the twins over there and I'll go by myself."
"Good idea, at least one of us should make it out to warn the guilds." Sting said.
With a nod the three different groups headed out in different directions.
The group of six stood still in the darkness as they stared at the three paths in front of them.
"I guess they want us to split up." Gajeel said.
"Everyone should pair up with someone who can provide a source of light. The tunnels are dark and they might plan a sneak attack."
Everyone nodded and the pairs were Lucy and Mizuko, Loke would be their light. Laxus and Erza, then Gajeel and Natsu. Each one went through their assigned tunnel.
Roughly after 10 minutes of going down the road there was a fork in every path.
"I guess this is where we split up!" Everyone said as they went their ways. In the distance there was an entrance with a bright white light. Once the team stepped into it a green light shone on them and they were fully healed. They found one opponent each.
"Hello Erza..." Klyfer said with hearts in his eyes.
"Klyfer." Erza addressed with a straight face.
"Oh it's Castiel now."
"Castiel then. Prepare to be defeated. You have committed and unforgivable crime and you shall pay." Erza promised unsheathing her sword.
"I don't like not facing a dragon slayer, but when I defeat you... I may be able to catch up with one." Castiel figured a star bright glaze surrounding his hand as the two prepared themselves. For this battle was not going to be easy. And for one...
It would be their last in a long time.
Akuma stood there with two bookshelves filled with potions. "So you have arrived!"
Laxus stood there rolling his eyes. Why did he have to get the annoying one. He was itching to fight the Rorak guy.
"The one who was raised by the mythological beast identified as a dragon. As you can see," He motioned around the room, " I have a series of tests to see whether the dragons you were raised by actually exist! Of course when I am proved to be accurate I will finally be able to dispatch of the nonsensical theory of dragons."
Laxus again rolled his eyes. "How can someone so short say so much!"
"WHAT DID You say!" Akuma, or rather Timothy as that was what his real name was, shouted his tone going back to normal as he calmed himself down. "Ash cloud!" A mini volcano erupted from the palm of his hands and sprouted out smoke that covered the whole place.
The battle had started.
Lucy held on to her keys tightly, she had Gemini in her left and Capricorn in her right, Loke was already out so she was fully prepared. When her opponent appeared it wasn't who she expected to say the least.
Kouji.
The boy jumped down from the balcony and dark orbs surrounded his hands. It seemed he didn't want to talk.
Lucy was fine with that, beating the boy who looked so innocent would be easier if he didn't say anything.
"Open gate of twins, gate of the goat: Gemini, Capricorn!" The three spirits popped into the human world in offensive positions, Gemini taking the form of Lucy.
Before the boy could snap his fingers Loke hit him from behind. Kouji scowled and kicked Loke away from him.
Natsu ran up to Rorak, not forgetting what happened to Rogue and punched him in the face with the flame coated fist. Rorak smiled, although his opponent was weaker, at least he would have some fun with him. He had fight in him, a fire in his eye.
And he liked it.
"Winds of hell!" Rorak simply commanded as he snapped his fingers. A small ring of wind was created in front of Natsu then it disappeared.
"Is that it?" Natsu guffawed with tears in his eyes. That was until seconds later a humongous tornado raged inside the building literally seeping Natsu off of his feet. Rorak standing there normally as if it was a normal day.
Natsu was hell-bent on kicking his ass now!
Gajeel walked into the room and sitting on a chair was a black haired woman who was chewing pink gum. She wore a black crop top that barely passed her breasts and had a tattoo of a black eye just on top of her belly button. Then she wore a blue ruffle skirt that were a few centimetres above her knees. She wore purple heels as well, her eye shadow was a violet purple and her overly used lipstick was black.
Gajeel scoffed and walked back towards the gate. That was until Kim got up from the chair and increased her magic level until the entire room was shaking.
"Thinking about turning around now you douche-bag." Kim taunted and she smirked when she saw Gajeel's fight-lusted smile.
Then it hit Gajeel, the smell, it was too familiar. His eyes widened a bit in shock. She was...
"A dragon slayer. In case you didn't know." Kim answered for him.
Sting and Rogue saw a bright light in the entrance. They were free! Finally...
There were not free.
Two people stood there in the marble room.
"I'm Crystal!" The perky girl said in a sing-song voice.
"Coal." The other one muttered.
"Well you're also in our way so can you move?" Sting said.
"Oh we can't do that. We finally get our hands on some dragon slayers, we are going to get our revenge." Crystal threatened and her voice wasn't sing-song like anymore...
Sting and Rogue got in offensive stances and prepared to battle the twins.
"Holy Light Ray!"
"Shadow Dragon Roar!"
"Crystal Coven!"
"Coal mine!"
Mizuko ran and ran and ran until she bumped into two different people.
"I'm prepared to-" Mizuko began as she flipped to her standing position but stopped once she saw who the people were. She had bumped into Aurora and Terra...
