"Sting!" Yukino yelped. She was scooped up and thrown into the pool. Rufus and Angel couldn't help but laugh. Sting looked victorious. She popped her head out of the water, a playful scowl on her face. "I can't believe you actually did that!" Her other three friends laughed and worked on pushing each other in.
Yukino looked over at Rogue. He was sitting on one of the chairs on the deck with his nose in a book. He had his gray swimming trunks on as well as a white shirt. She wished he would be more social. They had all met at Sting's to swim, not sit and stare off into space.
"Rogue!" Yukino yelled. He lazily looked up at her. "Aren't you going to join us?" She was hoping he would. If they all played chicken, like they always did, she could be his partner. Her heart skipped a beat at the thought.
"I don't really like swimming." He didn't yell it, but everyone still heard him.
"You would swim if Lucy was here!" Sting called out. Rogue's face went scarlet. "Could you imagine? She'd be wearing a bikini, her hair all down and wet. She'd-"
"Who are you talking about?" Yukino blurted out hotly. She briefly glanced down at her teal tankini. She never really like showing much skin, but if that's what Rogue would want...
"You remember that Heartfilia girl from my party a couple weeks back, right?" Sting saw that Rogue wasn't even paying attention. He had went back to reading his book. "Anyways, they've been hanging out a lot more."
Yukino's jaw clenched. She wasn't very happy. She's loved Rogue for years. Her time to shine finally came since he was single again, and that blonde bimbo was ruining it for her! She had to watch Rogue be happy for two years with someone else. She wasn't about to let it happen again.
"Do you guys want to play chicken?" Rufus asked, Angel already on his shoulders.

Loke hummed to himself as he walked down the corridors, ready to go surprise Aries. They both went to school together, and had been dating since freshman year. She never cared about his flirty attitude, which just made him love her that much more.
It was her day off, and he knew that she would be in her room knitting. She always did that in her spare time, having some fascination with wool and yarn. He didn't mind, though, because he had tons of sweaters to keep him warm in the winter.
As he passed by the door that lead to the kitchen, he heard a loud bang, along with a feminine scream. Knowing it was Lucy, he ran inside. He almost laughed at the sight.
Lucy was sitting on the floor, a bag of flower over her face, a bowl of batter laying on her lap, and mixing spoons all over the floor.
"What exactly are you trying to do?" Loke asked, not bothering to hide his laughter. When they were alone like that he never bothered to use proper etiquette. They both liked that more, since they were both friends and not just servant and master.
Lucy wiped some flour from her mouth so she could speak. A big puff still went into her mouth, making her gag. Loke handed her a wet rag, which she used to clean her face a bit. "In general, I'm trying to bake a cake. I was just trying to put the flour in the batter."
"Let's get you cleaned up." He helped her stand, which just made the bag of flour fall and the batter hit the floor. He led her over to the sink so he could begin washing her hair. "Why are you trying to make a cake, anyways? Capricorn could have made you one, if you wanted one so bad."
Lucy's cheeks turned slightly pink, causing him to raise a brow. "It's not for me." The flour was out of her hair, so she started to clean up the spoons on the floor.
Loke grabbed a mop and started to clean, as well. "It's for Rogue, right?" He heard all the spoons drop. He laughed, seeing as he was right. "I won't help you then. Just call if you really need help, okay?"
Lucy smiled as Loke left.

Two hours later, Lucy was walking towards Rogue's house with a box in hand. Inside was a lopsided cake. After he told her about his family the day before, she decided to make him a cake. She wasn't sure why, but she just wanted to.
Knocking on the front door twice, she waited for someone to open the door. Zeref happened to be on the other side. "Hey, Lucy," he greeted her, stepping aside to let her in. He was always opening the door, it seemed. "Rogue's over at Sting's house. What's that?" He pointed to the white box.
Lucy flushed. "It's...a cake," she said cautiously. She watched him raise an eyebrow. "It's for Rogue. I was bored..."
"You're so adorable," Zeref laughed, ruffling her hair. "Rogue should be back soon. I'll take that to the kitchen. You can hang out in his room."
Lucy nodded and handed the cake over. Instead of going upstairs right away, though, she waited. When Zeref came back, he looked at her in confusion. She looked at him as if asking him with her eyes to follow. The two walked up to Rogue's room. She grabbed the picture of Rogue and that girl and sat on the bed. Zeref sighed and sat beside her.
"That's Millianna," he answered her question. "They started dating freshman year. They broke up last summer. She's a year younger than him."
"She's really pretty," Lucy said sadly. Her hands began shaking. She saw Zeref put his hands over hers, taking the picture. Why does her name sound so familiar?
"I wouldn't worry about her," he said. He took the picture back over to Rogue's desk. "I wouldn't bring her up, either. It's not worth the worry." He glanced out the window. "It looks like Rogue's home."
Lucy hurried downstairs. Rouge was just coming inside. He smiled at Lucy and ruffled her hair as he walked past her and into the living room. She followed. He picked Asuka up, who was playing with her blocks on the floor. She giggled and moved his bangs aside, kissing his eye. He smiled and nuzzled his nose into her neck, making her giggle.
"Rogue?" Lucy asked timidly. She lightly rubbed on the back of his white shirt.
Surprising the blonde, Rogue quickly set Asuka on the floor. He spun around and pulled Lucy to him, kissing her hard for a few seconds. She was left in a daze as Rogue started to head upstairs. She quickly followed him into his room.
"Did you have fun at Sting's?" Lucy asked, still in a daze. She shut the door behind her, assuming he'd want it closed.
"Yeah, but I think I'll end up having more fun here," Rogue said in Lucy's ear, suddenly right behind her. She gasped and spun around to face him. He snaked his arms around her waist.
"Rogue?" she asked hesitantly.
He easily swooped down and caught her lips. Her eyes widened. He pulled her impossibly close and moved his hands up and down her back. He started to deepen the kiss, surprising Lucy even more. She didn't know what to think. He started to rub her side from under her shirt with one hand while the other rubbed her thigh. She hated to admit it, but she enjoyed being this close to Rogue. That is, until he sighed out, "Millianna."
Lucy flinched back. He looked at her with an almost confused look. She noticed how his cheeks were flushed. He was wobbling a little just standing. She was close enough to smell his breath. "You're drunk." It wasn't a question. Since when did he drink? And how didn't I notice before? She had no way of knowing that Yukino was the one to spike his drink, since he was the only one not drinking, and wanting to attempt to seduce him.
Rogue groaned and grabbed his head, sitting back on his bed. He was starting to get a headache.
"I hope your head does hurt, you bastard!" Lucy yelled, storming out of the room, slamming his door on her way out. She ran down the stairs and towards the front door. Zeref grabbed her arm, but she shrugged him off and kept going, ignoring the tears streaming down her cheeks.
