Chapter 12.

(August 7 2016)

After a few days of wonderful relaxation with Puck and Beth, she finally got back to work in the studio.

She was busy working on a song, when she got that feeling again that someone was watching her. She looked around her, but she was the only one in the studio, she then checked out of the window but saw nothing out of the ordinary. This was really starting to creep the living hell out of her and she didn't know what to do about it.

She returned to her writing and wrote a lyric down that was bouncing up and down inside her mind. She hoped that this would be good, since she hasn't written songs in a while.

There was a knock on the door and Rachel jumped in her seat.

"Sorry to scare you Miss Berry," her manager said. "But there was a accident with your driver. But we called a new one to drive you."

Her car broke down, so she couldn't drive on her own, and Puck insisted that she let her driver take her places.

"What happened to him?"

"None of us knows Miss Berry. But he got a really bad knock to his head that's for sure. But it's all cleared, the new driver is waiting downstairs."

"Thank you I'll be down in a few." She placed the paper she wrote on in a file and in a drawer. Grabbing her things she strolled out of the studio.

The new driver was small, with frizzy hair and glasses perched on his nose. She didn't recognize him, but if her manager arranged this, then it must be safe, right?

As Rachel walked towards the car, she could see the driver tense, but she greeted him formally and got into the car. He introduced himself as Jacob. Not a surname or anything, strange.

She received a text message from Puck, reminding her about the dinner he arranged for them that evening, and Rachel knew Puck was the one who would most likely forget because she always remembered things that was important to her.

She typed a quick reply, and shoved the phone into her pocket. While they drove through the city, Rachel thought about the case. They said it would be within a week, and what worried her was the fact that she knew it wasn't going to end soon.

As she glanced out the window she saw a little girl and her mom, Rachel supposed, sitting on bags on the pavement, dirt all over them.

"Could you please pull over?" Rachel asked wanting to get out of the car and approach the people like she always does, it is part of her job.

But he didn't stop, and neither did he say a word.

"Hey I asked you stop! Can you please pull over?"

No answer.

"If you don't answer me right now I'll call my guards."

Now that she thought of it, her guards was not with her, and it was strange. Is her fears coming to life.

"Sorry about this Rachel." The squeaky voice said, and Rachel blacked out.

"Puckerman could you please stop moving, your making me dizzy." Santana said watching Puck as he walked around the apartment fully dressed for his date with Rachel.

"I can't Satan. She hasn't called or texted me yet, and she said she would. Our date is in half an hour, it's not like her to be late."

"Well there is a half hour left to get there so stop pissing your pants and gets on with your life."

"Santana, she said she'd be here at 7, it's 5 minutes past 7." Puck said, shivers going through his body, and he disgusted himself just by thinking what could have happened to Rachel.

"Puck you really need to calm your tits. Rachel is a huge ass celebrity, she has a bunch of body guards around her, nothing will happen to her."

"I hope you're right." Finally sitting down, he downed a glass of water.

Shrugging, Santana replied, "I'm always right." Without him knowing, Santana turned her head and watched as Puck stared at the door waiting for Rachel to come through.

She knew why he was acting this way, it was because he was afraid to lose another thing that he loved, he didn't want to lose Rachel like he lost Quinn. Santana knew Puck loved Rachel, and looking past the whole Shelby thing, she knew they were meant to be together.

Even though they were world's apart, they found a way to love each other, and secretly, Santana admired that.

Time ticked by and still no sign of Rachel, even Santana started getting worried. She tried calling, but her phone was off. This was all getting too weird.

"She'll be fine, maybe she just got caught up at work."

"She would have told me Santana!"

No matter how hard she tried she couldn't get him to calm down, so the only way she knew what to do was to go to the studio Rachel works at herself and find out where she is.

Puck wanted to tag along, but Santana wanted him to stay. After a lot of arguing, he finally agreed to stay.

Once she got at the studio, she noticed it was fairly empty, but a couple of people walked around the quite halls. To her luck, Rachel's manager, Fred was in the lobby, and she knew him because she saw a picture of them on Facebook.

"Hey, I'm Santana Lopez, Rachel's friend."

He looked at Santana with a puzzled expression but shook her hand in any case. "How do you do?"

"Not so good, you see Rachel was supposed to be at home at seven, and as we both know she's a sucker for being on time, and sometimes even arrives a whole lot earlier than intended, you see, she's not answering her calls or texts, and that's starting to worry me. Do you by any chance have any idea where she is?"

Fred furrowed his brows and tapped his finger on his chin. "I haven't but I'm sure she's okay, the last time I saw her she was getting in the car with her new driver."

"Her new driver?" Weird, she thought to herself.

Fred nodded his head and explained what happened to Rachel's former one. "And do you know anything about this driver, or what their next stop might be?"

"Well Rachel said she was headed home for a date, and the driver, all I know about him is his name, and a adress. He is a temp after all. But that's private information Miss Lopez."

Santana took one step closer to him and she knew by the look on his face he was even the slightest bit intimidated. "Now you listen to me. I may not be very fond of Rachel at times, but this is a serious matter. You better tell me the adress of this low life creepy driver or I will send your ass to Lima Heights Adjacent and make you look bad, and trust me you don't want to go there."

With a nod of his head, he hurried to his office and came back with a file, Santana kindly thanked him and rushed back out, telling the taxi driver the adress, they were on their way.

Maybe it was crazy thinking the driver had something to do with it, and Santana was no professional, but she had a really bad feeling about this, and all this seemed to weird. With Rachel's driver being whacked on the head with a baseball bat, then on the same day a 'temp' driver, which the studio didn't have a lot of information comes and drives Rachel off, and he didn't even provide his surname.

She will soon find out the truth, and if her feelings was right, she knew she had to find a way to keep Puck out of it, because the way she knew him, he would certainly be the one wanted for murder.

When she got the adress to Jacob's house, she rushed to get there, and when she did, she was beyond shocked. The place was boarded up, and it looked very dodgy. She took a big gulp then moved forward, she just barged in, knowing that knocking on the door would do no good.

It was rusty inside, the living room had one couch, and it was torn up and old, no tv, just a shelf full of magazines, most of them with Rachel on the cover.

She heard a faint scream and her instinct told her it was Rachel, she rushed in the way which she heard the sound coming from, and when as she walked in the door, she saw Rachel tied up on a chair.

"Santana, oh thank God. Please help me."

"Rachel who the fuck did this to you?" Trying to loosen the knot she heard footsteps coming towards them and quickly in the closet behind Rachel.

Her eyes were locked on Rachel, trying to think of a plan and be brave enough to do it but she just couldn't. Now she wished Puck was here.

"Hello my sweet." The voice said and Santana could see what he looked like throught the closet door. "We're finally together. And when she gets out she'll be so happy."

"She?" Rachel asks.

"Your mother my sweet. She gave me a good amount of money to get you. And she said I can have you as my own."

"I'll never be yours, or hers." Rachel yelled, her voice breaking.

They could hear a bust through the door and soon Puck was standing just a few feet away from Jacob.

"What the hell do you think you're doing?" Santana walked out of the closet and continued helping Rachel get loose.

When Jacob wanted to attack Santana, Puck's fist came to fast and hit Jacob right in the face, falling down, Puck sat on top of him, and hit him a few more times.

When he felt Rachel's tiny hand on his shoulder he couldn't help but stop.

"Let's just call the police. I wouldn't want you going to jail."

When they police arrived, they asked them to go to the station with them to ask them questions, and without any doubt they arrested Jacob on the spot, since he was connected to Shelby.

And since Shelby had this up her sleeve, the detective said that there was no way they're going to let her go. She did way too much damage.

Resting her head on Puck's shoulder as they waited for Santana to come out of the bathroom so that they can go home.

"You okay?" Puck asks, playing with her hair.

Rachel nodded. "I'm just glad it's over. I thought he was going to kill me, I was so scared."

"I would never let anyone hurt you Rach, I love you too much for that."

"I love you too." They shared a sweet kiss and walked out the station with Santana.

"Who is watching Beth?" Rachel asked as they got into a taxi.

"Kurt and Blaine. They're probably worried to death by now."

Beth was so happy when she saw Rachel and Puck returning. Kurt and Blaine was busy watching a movie and decided to stay for the night, and Santana and Rachel stayed over too.

Deciding to order a pizza and watch a movie, they wanted to forget what had happened that day. When Shelby's case is over, everything will be okay and they can live their lives like they planned to before it all started. Nothing could stop them now.

A/N: I know it's short but I didn't have any other ideas for the chapter, I had to end it there. I'm talking to my sister, to help me get a good idea for the next chapter, cause I know if I continued writing on this chapter it would have been crappier. This is the last time that you guys will read a shitty chapter. I just knew I kept you guys waiting so long, again so I had to write somethingm thanks for still sticking with my story though!
