Jamie P.O.V
Jamie walked home from school, his backpack slung over his shoulder. He pulled his sleeves down around his hands as the brisk October wind whipped at him. He wondered when he would start seeing his best friend around...Jack Frost. Jamie knew that Jack wouldn't come around in the summer, because of the heat, but as the weather cooled down he should start seeing him soon.
He remembers when he very first met Jack all those years ago. Now he is almost sixteen years old and the only one that still believes in him. All of his friends and even his little sister have brushed him off as an imaginary friend. He decided he would take the shortcut through the woods to his house, out near Jack's pond. The air was so cold, maybe he'd be out there.
The leaves crunched as he walked down the old trail. He tried to imagine this, over three hundered years ago. He tried to imagine Jack with messy brown hair and old handmade clothes with his sheppards staff running down this trail with his sister. That was so hard to imagine... it was hard to imagine making the sacrifice that he did to save his sister too.
Yes, Jamie knew Jack's secret, being his first believer and staying with him for years, Jack eventually only a little over a year ago, told him some things about himself. As excited as he was too learn these things, it was odd to see how dark Jack went..how quiet, he was so used to the white boy being happy and outgoing, to see him so solemn was sad...and a little scary.
He made his way out to a large tree, that sat at the base of the pond. He sat down and leaned agains it, listening to the falling leaves in the wind. The cloudy sky seemed to get cloudier as small snowflakes began to fall. Jamie leaned up, excited.
"Jamie?" he heard someone ask from behind him. He whirled around.
"Jack!" Jamie beamed at the spirit.
He then noticed how frail he looked, there were dark bags under his eyes. He was shaking. The thing that alarmed Jamie the most was that his staff was a solid brown, there was no frost spiralling around where he held it.
"Jack?" He asked hesitantly as the sickly boy stumbled forward.
Jack began to move sluggishly, before he bagan to fall.
"JACK!" Jamie screamed as he ran to him. He cradled his head in his lap and gasped. Jack's body was covered in black and purple markings, almost as if he'd been beaten. Jamie didn't know what to do. So he just sat there, trying to find something to help.
Bunny P.O.V
North and Bunny stood there forever. Trying to decide what to do. They don't even know where he went.
"What do we do?" Bunny asked North.
"We need to find him, before he does something rash, and throws things out of its natural balance."
" I think I know where he might go." Bunny said tapping his foot to create a hole. "I have to go get him!"
"Wait!" Bunny heard North yell, but it was too late, he was gone.
Bunny knew that in a fragile state of mind like this. Anyone would go for the familiar. And to Jack, that would be where he was born over 300 years ago. Also where he died. Then a thought occurred to him, that's also where his first believers were...Jamie.
Oh no, Bunny thought. If Jamie found Jack it could be fatal, spirits couldn't die from Jack's attacks, but children could. He popped up at the edge of the forest and raced to the pond. It was spitting snow and becoming increasingly cold as he made his way to where he hoped desperatly Jack would be. When he got there he was both relieved and terrified. Relieved because Jamie was there, and unharmed. Terrified because Jack was lying unconcious, covered in sickly...burns.
A/N: Sorry it's short, just a good place to end it ;)
