CHAPTER 12

Jade was only outside of the hospital for a few seconds when Molly came storming out of the hospital her face flushed a dark red in anger. Jade only slightly twitched when Molly climbed into her truck and slammed the door shut. Deciding silence was the best course of action Jade didn't speak as she pushed the gas pedal down and took off. Her quick glance in the rear-view mirror showed her who was most likely the cause of Molly's anger, a very wide-eyed Sherlock Holmes was being pulled out of the hospital by what looked like an angry John Watson. "What has that idiot done now?" Jade wondered to herself as she let Molly fume while she stopped at a store and grabbed a buggy full of junk-food and action/comedy DVD's. It looked like her little surprise was going to have to wait Molly clearly needed a girls night. After Jade put the groceries in her truck and put the buggy away she turned to her still silent friend. "What's your home address?"

SEVEN HOURS LATER

AT MOLLY'S APARTMENT:

"He wouldn't stop asking me about you! Everything was Jade this and Jade that and do you know where Jade is now! I swear Jade he only flirts with me on a whim because he never really cares about my feelings!" Molly half sobbed half hollered while shoving chocolate Moose Track's Ice-Cream into her mouth. Jade who had been listening to Molly vent for the last several hours had thought up many creative ways to get rid of the worm known as Sherlock Holmes. "Well I have many ways to get rid of him but I'm guessing you're still a little attached to him so why don't we do something else?" Jade said, a devious smile on her face as a genius idea grew in her head.

Molly hiccupped and turned to her friend, "What?" Molly asked. Jade gave her a toothy grin, "First how much time off do you have saved up?" Jade asked. "I'm not sure of the exact amount but I know I have over three months. Why?" Molly asked confused but slightly hopeful. Jade gave Molly a hug and a Kleenex, "We are going to use those three months to raise your self-confidence." Jade replied. Molly tilted her head in confusion while putting down her spoon and accepting the Kleenex. "How is that going to change the way Sherlock's been treating me?" Molly asked.

"Raising your self-confidence means you will quit letting Sherlock treat you like he has, and you will not worry about gaining anyone else's approval over things that you like to wear, eat, do or say. Raising your self-confidence means you will have the confidence to put your thoughts into action. That means you will stand up for yourself and that is something that will make Sherlock either change his ways or he will have to find someone else to treat like a rug." Jade said.

"I'll call in now." Molly said, blowing her nose and grabbing her cell-phone her face a picture of determination. Jade smiled in approval at the strength that Molly was showing and started to clean up some of the mess they had made from all the junk-food they had eaten. "Ok Jade. I've called off for the next three months I told them that they wouldn't be able to get in contact with me now what?" Molly asked. "Now you leave your cell-phone and beeper and everything else technological here. All you need is your apartment key, we will leave here as soon as we finish cleaning up the junk-food." Jade said. "Ok." Molly said and she started helping clean up the mess that they had made.
