Sorry for the late chapter! I got really busy with school. Updates might be a little slower, but please bare with me. And guess what! I now have over 200 follows! Gahhhhh! And thank you to everyone who left such kind reviews! Sometimes I read them and start giggling to myself. (But don't tell anyone...) Anyways...on with the story! I think you'll like this one..(hopefully).
Breaking news!
The owner of the Heartfilia company will be going to America in hopes of expanding the Lucky Stars Hotel Chain! The company may become number one in both Japan and America! Owner, Lucy Heartfilia, will be leaving in two days.
"What the hell, Loke!" I yelled, "Why is this on the news!"
"My deepest apologizes, my lady. The public is very good at finding information even when it's not announced," he said.
I sigh. I hope Levy and Gajeel aren't watching the news right now. I'm sure they would flip out when I get to school.
"Kaoriiii!" screamed an angry voice from afar.
I looked over, "Oh hey, Levy," I said nervously.
"What is this?" The bluenette asked as she slams a newspaper onto my desk.
"Um.. That would be the newspaper. People read it for information," I said.
"That's not what I meant!" she yelled annoyed. "Look at the front cover!"
I pick it up from the table and read the front cover. The title says: 'Lucy Heartfilia leaves for America!' In bold letters. Damn the press, I didn't want Levy to find out this way.
"How long were you going to keep this a secret from me," she asked. " I thought we were friends..."
"We are! I just found out I was going last night. I was going to tell you first, but somehow the news found out before I can tell you."
"So is it true you're going?" She asked sadly.
I nodded.
"For how long?" The blue haired girl questions again.
"I don't know. Loke told me it would take a long time. Maybe weeks, months, years, decades.."
"So will we ever see each other again," she asked as tears were threatening to fall.
"Oh, of course not, Levy! You could always fly out to visit me or I could fly home to visit you. You also have my number so you can call me anytime" I said.
She nods. "Does Natsu know?"
My eyes widened. I completely forgot about what Natsu would think. "No, he doesn't know," I replied back.
"Are you going to tell him?" She asked.
I shook my head. "He'll find out soon enough."
"So what about school?" asked Levy.
I gave her a look. "Levy, I don't need school remember." She mouthed an 'O'.
"Ms. Mira should be making an announcement of my leave when she gets here," I said.
Students flood the room all talking about the news.
"Lucy is so amazing!"
"Yeah she's so young yet she already has plans to make the company international."
"I would totally date her."
"How cool would it be to partner up with her in the project."
"She has a nice body."
I roll my eyes. Funny how they admire Lucy, but treat Kaori like crap.
I look to the back of the classroom to see how Natsu was taking the news since I know that he likes Lucy. He looks indifferent about it. I frown. I was actually kind of hoping that he would be sad.
The door slams open, and Ms. Mira comes in.
"Good morning class. I have sad news for you all today. A person in this class will no longer be attending school with us anymore."
Whispers flood the classroom, "I wonder who it is."
"Although she has only been with us for a short time, Kaori will be leaving due to business reasons," Ms. Mira says sadly. "Kaori, would you like to come up and say something before you leave?"
I walk up to the front of the classroom as everyone stared at me.
"Good the need is finally leaving."
"She doesn't belong here anyways."
"Now she can stay away from Natsu."
Each comment made my blood start to boil. I didn't have the tolerance for the bad mouthing today. And finally I snapped.
"Who do you guys think you are anyways" I said. The whole room shut up and looked at me in disbelief. "Who gave you the right to judge people based on their looks and status. You guys disgust me."
"So why do we care what you think."
"Yeah, what makes you so high and mighty."
"You're just a poor nerd."
"You don't even own a company."
My hands balled up into a fist and I started shaking with anger.
"I can make you all bankrupt and you don't even know it!" I yell.
"And how will you do that?" Asked a kid. "You came here with a scholarship."
"It's funny how you say that," I said. I slowly take off my glasses and undo my braids. So what if they know who I am now. I'm going to be leaving anyways.
The who room gasped accept for Levy and Gajeel who were smirking at me the whole time. I looked back at Natsu. His eyes were wide with shock and his mouth was open. 'Well I guess whatever we had is over now' I thought sadly.
"I just so happen to own the largest company in japan," I said confidently.
"No way, that's Lucy Heartfilia!"
"She was disguised as a nerd this whole time?"
"Wow, she's really hot"
"I can't believe I never noticed it before."
"Now that I've said all I need, I'll be making taking a seat." I sat down and sighed. Once today is over, I wont have to put up with this any more.
"Since today is Kaor- I mean Lucy's last day, you may all have this period free. Bye~" said Ms. Mira as she walked out of the door.
At first the room was dead silent, but a few moments later, students began flooding over to my desk.
"Sorry about how we treated you, we didn't mean it," said one student. I rolled my eyes. Yeah, right. You're only sucking up to me now because you know who I am now.
I stood up to make my way out of the classroom. Right before I reached the door, a figure stood in front of me. It was Natsu.
"I guess you weren't ever going to tell me that you were Lucy," the pink haired boy said as I looked down at the ground ashamed.
"Did you think I'm fool?" he asked bitterly. "That you could just play with my heart and then leave."
I looked up and him and shook my head vigorously. 'That was never my intention, Natsu!' I thought to myself. But I couldn't say that to him or it would just make leaving harder.
"You are terrible, Lucy Heartfilia."
A sharp pain pierced through my chest. Tears clouded my vision and I ran out of the classroom. I don't want anyone to ever see me like this.
I ran all the way home and into my bedroom. Loke and Virgo looked at me worried and asked me what's wrong, but I ignored them. I just needed time to be by myself.
I flopped onto my bed, pulled a pillow to my chest and cried. This is probably the most I've cried since my parent's deaths.
Knock knock
"Lady Lucy," said Virgo, "Levy and Gajeel are here to see you."
I stopped sobbing and wiped my tears away. "Ok," I said meekly. "Let them in."
The door opened to reveal a short blue haired girl and a tall muscular black haired boy.
"Hey, Luce," said Levy, "Are you alright?" I nodded.
"Nice room you got here blondie," Gajeel smirked.
I sat back down on my bed and Levy sat down next to me. "Don't mind, Natsu. He was probably just shocked by the whole situation," said Levy.
Gajeel snorts. "Of course, it's not every day you find out that the two girls you like happen to be the same person."
My eyes widened. "Wait, he liked both of me?" I asked.
Levy and Gajeel stared at me in amusement. "Lucy, sometimes I don't know how you can be so smart, but so dense at the same time" said Levy.
'I thought he might've liked 'Lucy', but 'Kaori too? I just never thought it was possible.'
"What am I suppose to do now?" I asked, sniffling.
Levy and Gajeel both looked at each other and then back at me and shrugged.
"You gotta talk to him," said Levy.
"Or you can just leave for America and never think about him again," Gajeel suggested.
Levy elbowed him in the stomach. "Ow, shrimp! What was that for?" asked Gajeel, annoyed.
Levy doesn't answer and diverts her attention back to me. "Lucy, you've had a rough day. How about I talk to Natsu for you. I'm sure he'd understand if I explain to him."
I nodded, although unsure.
"What time do you leave tomorrow?" Levy asked.
"Three in the afternoon," I answered, "Why?"
"I'll make sure you talk to Natsu before you board your plane," she says.
I smiled. "Thanks, Levy. I don't know what I would do without you."
Levy smiled back and gives me a hug. "Gajeel and I should probably go now," she says as she grabs her boyfriend's arm. "You have a long day ahead of you tomorrow. You'll need your rest."
I nodded. "Thanks for coming by, Levy. Will you send me off tomorrow?"
"Of course!" says the blue haired girl. "How can I not."
"Bye, Levy. And thanks again," I said as Levy was leaving with Gajeel.
She sends me another quick smile before shutting the door. Once the door shut, I flopped back onto my bed to think.
Natsu's POV (back at school)
I can't believe that 'Kaori' was Lucy this whole time. It's was almost like she was toying with me, thinking that I was some sort of fool. I was right to have my suspicions about her. There were so many clues, but chose to ignore them to protect what we had.
I sat down at my desk, visibly upset. Who wouldn't be when they have been lied to this whole time.
"Oh cheer up. I sure that Lucy had her reasons," said Gray.
"I agree with ice brains," said Erza. "Why would the owner of the most successful company in Japan just attend school dressed up as a nerd for no reason. And plus, we all know that your mad because you like her."
"I don't like her." I scowled.
"Oh, come on, Natsu. I know your stubborn, but you're overreacting," says Gray.
"Fine, I liked her. Past tense. Not anymore," I said angrily.
"I've known you for a long time now," said Erza. "There's not a single girl you were interested in until now. And if you let her go, I'm sure you'll regret it."
"She's leaving tomorrow anyway, so what's the point. Even if we do somehow make up, she'll be leaving" I said annoyed by the fact that only god knows when she's coming back.
"It's not like she'll be gone forever," said Erza.
I sighed. "Can we not talk about her anymore. Just give me time to think."
Gray and Erza, finally shut up and nodded.
Done with this chapter! Lucy's identity is finally revealed! And more drama with Natsu! What will happen next? Tune in next time. And as always, thanks for reading and don't forget to favorite/follow/review if you haven't already!
