So yay, new chapter time!
This was an idea of mine that I wanted to try. I have so many GREAT ideas that readers have submitted, and my goal is to get them all done at one point. So there's no telling when this story will end!

...
He shuffled through the sleepy town, his beady eyes roaming around the quiet area, looking for something, someone.
But no one appeared to please him. Letting out an almost zombie-like groan, he continued his shuffling walk through the darkening streets.
He was tall, slim, with graying hair and black beady eyes; his face was sunken in, papery skin tight against his features.
If he didn't find what he was looking for soon, he would die. So, shuffling some more, he continued through town, but there was no one around. He would have to wait for the morning to come, where he would have to brave the sunlight to find what he was looking for.
He didn't like the sunlight, but he would bare it.
He had to find it before it was too late.
…
Ethan and Benny were walking to school, Benny being unusually quiet.
"What's up B? You seem…" Ethan finished with a shrug, making Benny sigh.
"I know," he said as he squeezed Ethan's hand. "I just… I've been having nightmares about the Elementals again."
"That they're gonna come back for you?"
"Yeah. And I don't that want to happen."
"You can fight them I bet."
"I would, but I belong with them. I feel it. But they won't be back as long as I don't use my Earth powers."
"And do you want to use them?"
"Sometimes. But I don't. I just use my normal magic." Ethan nodded and Benny smiled sadly. "I'm not going anywhere, don't worry."
"Good. I'm not either."
"Good."
…
He stopped outside the town square, watching people as they walked around the town. His eyes followed two figures who were holding hands as they talked softly to each other. Stumbling after them, he kept his eyes locked on them.
The shorter one would do, he was sure of that.
Or at least, he hoped they would.
…
Ethan turned, searching around them as they stopped outside the school entrance.
"Whatcha looking for?" Benny asked, tugging on Ethan's hand in an unsuccessful attempt at recapturing his boyfriend's interest.
"I'm not sure… I feel… someone watching."
"There's no on watching us E."
"Yes there is…. I feel it." His dark eyes searched around them, but he didn't see anyone suspicious around; there was an older gentleman sitting on a bench with a folded up newspaper looking around, a few joggers, a couple walking around.
"Come on E, you don't wanna be late do you?"
"I'm coming," he said softly, briefly connected eyes with the older gentleman before turning away. He tried to shake off the weird feeling the man had given him when their eyes had met.
He had looked almost possessive when he looked at Ethan.
…
He looked around the room he had set up. In a mere few hours, he would be joined by what was now his. He had gotten a nice suit for himself, a beautiful bouquet of flowers, and had the room set up with a wonderful altar, sparkling, twinkling lights that shone throughout the room. He smiled, pleased with himself at how everything turned out. His eyes traveled to the final piece in the room.
Yes, he knew everything would be perfect as soon as he got what was destined to be his.
…
Ethan smiled as Benny let out a loud, exaggerated groan.
"Finally the school day is over!" Benny cried, slinging an arm around Ethan's shoulders, giving his boyfriend a big grin. "I say it's time we go home, spend some couple-y time together. What do ya say?" he asked, wiggling his eyebrows suggestively at Ethan, who just laughed.
"Sorry, I'm gonna have to pass."
"What? Why?" Benny whined, making Ethan laugh again.
"You forgot the promise you made to your grandma didn't you?" Benny's face was blank while Ethan rolled his eyes. "You told her you'd help her clean out the attic, remember?" His eyes widened as he shook his head. "She told you if you didn't help, you would be grounded."
"Shit."
"Yep. So go okay? When you're done we can spend time together okay?"
"Okay," he sighed as they walked home. Ethan smiled at the moping Benny as they stopped outside his house.
"But hey, I have good news." Benny grunted and Ethan shoved him.
"Mom, Dad, and Jane are gonna be gone later. So if you get done cleaning soon…" Benny perked up and placed a quick kiss to Ethan's lips.
"Yay." Ethan laughed as he watched his spastic boyfriend. "See you later then."
"Bye." He laughed as he watched Benny run into his house. Rolling his eyes again, he walked to his house.
Before he could make it to the front door, he felt a hand clamp down on his shoulder. He stilled as he felt long fingers and fingernails dig into the tender skin of his shoulder.
"Finally." He began to turn but was soon blinded by a black fabric over his eyes. "Not so fast my dear. This is going to be a surprise." Ethan felt his breathing speed up in a possible anxiety attack as a light laugh sounded in his eye. "I hope you like it."
With a quick pinch, he was out.
…
Ethan awakened on a bed, in a dark room that had decorative sparkling lights strewn around the walls. He went to sit up, only to feel heavy fabric covering his body. Looking down, his eyes widened as a strangled cry left his lips.
He was in a dress!
He stood up, surveying his reflection in a large mirror that was propped up on the opposite wall. The dress he had somehow found himself in was a cream color, with a large, poofy skirt and tight top part that clung to his body, as well as long sleeves that went down to his wrists. He raised a hand up to his head, where a decorative tiara was clipped into the dark tresses. He trailed a hand down to look at the bulky pendant that was nestled in the hollow of his neck.
"You look beautiful!" A voice cried, making Ethan turn around to see a tall, willowy, papery old man staring at him; he was dressed in a pressed gray suit, a white rose pinned to his lapel. Ethan just gaped at him with a confused expression as the man's grin widened. "My bride, you are so lovely! I was pleased to see the dress fit so perfectly."
"You-your bride?!" Ethan cried as he attempted to turn in the wide dress. The man nodded and moved towards Ethan.
"Yes my dear. My name is Nathaniel, and I've waited so long for you. You are so pretty."
"I'm a dude! You know that right?!" The man waved his hand in a dismissive manner and moved closer to Ethan.
"Nonsense, I know a woman when I see one my love."
"My name is Ethan, and I'm a guy!"
"Ethan is no name for a lady," he said, shaking his gray head. "How about… Emma? Or if you wish to keep that name, we can go with Ethanella." Ethan was silent as the man grabbed a white rose bouquet and handed it to him. Ethan just threw it to the ground, making the man narrow his beady eyes. "That is no way to treat your soon-to-be husband!" He cried, slapping Ethan across the face. Ethan wheezed with the pain that now radiated across his now burning cheek. The man stooped to pick up the discarded bouquet and then gripped Ethan by the arm with his free hand once he had stood straight again. "Now my lovely bride, it is time for our wedding." He steered a resisting Ethan towards a decorative archway and dark wooden alter.
"I'm not marrying you!" Ethan cried, struggling against the man's hold; for someone so old and frail looking, he was pretty strong. The man just shrugged and turned to Ethan, thrusting the bouquet back into his hands.
"When I saw you young lady, I knew you'd be my bride. You are the one who will complete me."
"I'm not a girl!"
"Yes you are!" he cried, slapping Ethan again. Ethan felt his eyes sting with tears as the pain spread down his jawline now. "There you go; all brides need to cry at their weddings." Ethan looked at him, hatred in his brown eyes as the guy grinned and gripped his hands, pulling him towards him. "Don't worry my love, soon this will all make sense." Ethan was silent as the man turned them to face the alter; this man had to be off his rocker! Ethan grimaced until he saw the air in front of them shimmer and distort before a body began to form.
Ethan took a step back in shocked surprise as an exact copy of the man stood across from them, a grin stretching his thin face. Ethan looked at the man who gripped him and then to the one across from them.
"What are you?" he asked, making both of them grin.
"Don't you worry your pretty head about it dear. It is not of your concern at this moment." Ethan gaped at the man and shook his head.
He didn't see a way of getting out of this any time soon.
…
"Hey Mr. M," Benny said, surprised to see the older man open the door to the house next door. "Is Ethan here? He isn't answering his phone."
"I thought he was with you," Ethan's dad said, shock covering his face.
"No I had to go home and help Grandma… you mean he's not here?"
"No he's not…" Benny saw the concern and worry that was flashing through his boyfriend's father's eyes.
"You don't think something happened to him do you?!"
"You can never know with it being this town…"
"What can we do? Can you find him?" He thought for a minute and nodded.
"I have just the thing," he said, pulling out his phone and messing with it. "Here we go. His phone is still on."
"How do you know?"
"We recently got that 'family tracker' thing, so we can always find the kids since we got Jane her first phone," he said, showing Benny the screen. "There he is." Benny studied the location that had a large red E hovering over it. "Do you know where it is?"
"Yeah, that's downtown." Benny dug out his phone and snapped a picture of the screen in front of him. "it'll take me hours to walk down there though."
"Here," Mr. Morgan said, pulling his keys off a hook by the door. "I trust you not to wreck my car. Go get my son from whatever crazy thing has him now." Benny nodded and took the keys.
"I'll save him, don't worry."
…
Benny drove like a madman, swerving through traffic that he had froze with a spell his grandma had lent him; he was there within 10 minutes. Benny stopped the car outside the desolate looking building before him. Glancing at the photo on his phone, he saw this was the address that Ethan was at. Taking a deep breath, he got of the car and made his way inside.
…
Ethan struggled against the man's grip, who just laughed at his attempts.
"My love, it doesn't work that way. You are no match for me."
"I'm not your love!"
"Once we are wedded, you will love me!"
"I don't love you!" Ethan screamed at the man, who turned to him.
"You will soon enough." Ethan was about to retort when he heard a loud knocking on the door. They both turned, the man's grip slackening just enough for Ethan to pull away from him as the door slammed open with a powerful force.
"E?"
…
Benny heard yelling all the way down the hall. Hurrying, he easily recognized Ethan's voice as the one doing the most yelling. The door wouldn't budge, so he began to bang loudly on it. He heard the yelling die down at his bangs. Finally, he muttered a quick spell, watching the lock on the door crack before the door blew wide open. He stood there, seeing his boyfriend in a wedding dress and crown, flowers gripped in his hands.
"E?" He asked, trying to contain the uncontrollable laughter that wanted to spill forward from his lips; it didn't work. He doubled over, hands on his knees as laughs poured from his mouth, shaking his body. When he finished, he stood up to see the man gripping Ethan again, his face contorted in anger.
"Who are you?" He asked, making Benny roll his eyes; no old man was a match for him.
"I'm his boyfriend. Now let Ethan go." The man studied Benny and shook his head.
"You must be confused young man. This is my bride, and you're interrupting our wedding."
"Be-" Ethan was cut off as the man placed a thin hand over his mouth.
"You should leave now. Otherwise things could turn very bad very fast."
"Dude, just let him go," Benny said, sounding bored. The man scrunched up his face in aggravation before letting go of Ethan, who stumbled back.
"I warned you. And now it's too late." All he did was quirk his finger, a slight twitch of its joint, and Benny's face was caught in shock before he collapsed to the ground, eyes blank.
"Benny!" Ethan cried as he pushed aside the old guy and ran to his boyfriend, who wasn't breathing. "Nononononono." He pressed his fingers to Benny's neck, but there was no pulse there. He searched Benny's eyes, looking for any spark of life. The green orbs help nothing but darkness. "Benny!" he sobbed, collapsing on top of the still chest. "Please come back to me."
The man stood there, watching what he had claimed as his sobbing over another; an unknown feeling bubbled up in his chest, but he pushed it back down and strode to Ethan, gripping his arm again and yanking him up.
"No!" He cried, pushing the older guy, to no avail.
"I'm sorry, but you are mine. He had to know that." Ethan looked at him and shook his head, attempting to pull away from the man again. "This is useless you know. He's gone." Ethan looked at the lifeless form of his boyfriend. The guy saw the expression on his bride's face and felt that unknown emotion well up again.
Ethan felt the grip on his arm drop, so he fell to his knees next to Benny again. He placed his hands on Benny's unmoving chest, hoping to see something, anything, that would indicate the taller brunette could return to him.
There was nothing.
"Benny," he whispered, running a hand through the dark hair. "Please." The man stood there, watching this; he felt torn, conflicted. He wanted a love like this, and he had thought his choice of bride would give it to him; he hadn't counted on the one that he planned to love love another.
"My dear," he said in a soft voice so unlike his own, "I am sorry for this pain." Ethan looked up and was surprised to see something almost like compassion rise in the black eyes of the older man. He sighed and lifted Ethan up by the arm again. He didn't bother resisting, face blank of emotion now. The man felt emotion well up in him again and sighed, surprised to find it sounding sad. "You won't ever love me, will you?" Ethan just shook his head no, unable to speak; his eyes never left Benny though. The man knew now, that he could never have his bride like he wanted. He let go of Ethan's arm, watching him just fall to the dead boy again.
Ethan closed his eyes as he leaned against Benny, wishing that he could bring him back somehow. Only when he heard a thud did he look up.
The old man was on the ground, his face turned to Ethan, blank black eyes staring at nothing. Ethan stared at him only for a moment before he felt the cloth-covered chest under his fingers begin to rise once again. He turned with a disbelieveing smile to see Benny blinking and looking around dazedly. His eyes landed on Ethan, who was wiping his eyes with one hand, making sure to leave one hand on Benny's chest.
"You look ridiculous E," Benny said in a scratchy voice, making Ethan laugh as tears ran down his cheeks. He hugged Benny tightly, so glad to feel his breath against his neck once again
…
Ethan stood above the grave he and Benny had dug and laid the old man in.
"So you wanted to give the old man who kidnapped you and almost forced you to marry him and, oh yeah, KILLED ME a funeral?"
"He also brought you back. He killed himself to save you," Ethan said, placing the bouquet of white roses on top of the fresh-earthed grave. "If it wasn't for him doing that, I would've lost you for good." Benny heard the sadness in his boyfriend's voice and pulled him to him.
"Hey, well I'm here, and healthy as a horse, or so grandma says. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon, I promise." He gave Ethan a soft kiss, making the shorter of the two sigh. "In fact, grandma said I shouldn't have even come back, but there was something holding me here. You." Ethan smiled and felt Benny kiss his hair. "I'm not going anywhere as you hold me here."
"Good. I don't plan on letting go of you any time soon."
…
