Lumen Histoire chapter 12

Well, this chapters much longer than usual! Enjoy!

I don't own Harry Potter or Fairy Tail.

"Who was that guy?" Harry asks as the team walks back to the hotel.

"Musashi." Erza growls, "He used to be one of the best mages in Fairy Tail, and he was Laxus' Rival. But he was exiled from the guild nine years ago."

"What for?"

"Murder." Grey answers, "He and another mage used to have a couple of arguments every now and then. One day, he was challenged to a duel, and before any of us could stop him, his opponent was dead on the floor."

"We never even got a reason from him." Erza sighs, "None of us would have guessed that he'd take it that far, and without him telling us why, the master had no choice but to exile him."

"Did you ever find out?"

"No. I think that Gildarts might have known something, but he's never said anything." Erza replies, "I don't think that he's a bad guy despite that, but the master's order stands."

"Though we should feel lucky about one thing, though." Grey smirks, "If he was in Sabertooth and joined the games, I doubt that any of us would have stood a chance."

"True. Only Laxus, Gildarts, and the master would have the power to stop him, and even that wouldn't be a walk in the park. After nine years of training, I don't even want to think about how strong he'll be." Erza chuckles.

"He's that strong?!" Lucy gasps, "What kind of monster is he?!"

"He's something else." Grey shrugs, "I wouldn't expect all of us to be able to take him down as a group."

"Well, at least we don't have to deal with him this time around." Harry smirks, "Let's get some rest. We've got round three tomorrow."

"Welcome to day three of the Grand Magic Games!" the announcer roars over the cheering crowd, "Today's guest announcer is Lahar from the magic council!" The crowd gives a warm welcome to the smiling man now sitting beside the other commentators as the eight teams walk out onto the field.

"Let's get things started with today's event: Pandemonium! Each Guild, choose your competitor!" Yajima says loudly, and the crowd cheers as eight mages step forward almost at the same time.

"I'm going." Erza says as she strides out onto the field.

"If Erza's going, then so am I." Milliana grins, right behind her.

"Obra." The masked Raven Tail orders and the hook nosed man steps forward.

"I'm curious about this event…" One of the cloaked men from Quarto Puppy says as he steps up, throwing his hood back and revealing a face that Harry knew from school.

"This could be interesting." Jura smiles as he walks onto the field.

"I'll go." Orca of Sabertooth smirks, joining the group.

"Leave this to me." The blond from blue Pegasus says confidently as he follows suit.

"If I'm only going to be here for today, I want to get my money's worth." Cana smirks as she follows the rest of the crowd.

"Erza Scarlet for Fairy Tail A!" Lahar nods, "Along with Mermaid Heel's Milliana, Raven Tail's Obra, Blaise Zabini of the Quarto Cer-Puppy, Hibiki from Blue Pegasus, Cana Alberona of Fairy Tail B, Orca of Sabertooth, and Jura as well. This should be exciting. Quite the list of competitors."

"You're right about that." Chapati agrees, "I will now explain the rules for Pandemonium!" this was met by a loud cheer from the stands as the rest of the teams left the stage to wait for the battle portion.

In the center of the arena, a huge building materializes, and inside sounds could be heard crashing around. It was almost like a large black castle, with flaming skull on the towers.

Chapati continues as the crowd stares in amazement, "This is the temple where 'Pandemonium will take place. Inside are one hundred magically created monsters, ranging from the weakest D-Class to the Powerful S-Class. The break-up of classes is as follows. Fifty D class, Thirty C-Class, Fifteen B-Class, four A-Class, and only one S-Class.

This video shows the power of one D-class." The screen is replaced by a massive beast crashing through a pillar like it was nothing while roaring, "Their strength only improves from there. The S-Class is powerful enough that not even a Wizard saint is guaranteed a victory." At this Jura smiles, likely anticipating a challenge, "Each competitor will draw a number from inside this box-" at this, Chapati walks towards them, carrying a box with eight identical sticks sticking out of a hole on the top, "These numbers will decided the order. In this order, each competitor will select the number of monsters they wish to face. This number is referred to as their 'Challenge Right'. For example, if your challenge right is five, than you will only fight five random monsters monsters. If you are victorious against those five, it will be added to your score and the next competitor will take their turn, selecting a challenge right from the remaining ninety five monsters. This will continue until there are no monsters, or all competitors have been defeated.

If you are defeated, then you score no points for that round, but your accumulated points up to that point remain."

"So, you need some strategy to avoid drawing the S-Class." Hibiki mutters, inputting data into his Archive magic screen.

"It's random." Orca counters, "Strategy won't help you any."

"Well, it wouldn't be perfect, but with my archive and a probability theory, a strategy would work to some extent." Hibiki says as he reviews the data on his screen.

"Points are awarded without regard to rank." Chapati explains, "Once you enter, you will not be able to leave until you've won or have been defeated."

"So it's bad to be greedy." Zabini growls, "If you choose too many, you'll be overrun and lose. But choose too few and the others will leave you in the dust. And if you aren't carefully about your magic consumption, you won't be able to continue."

"This is going to be tough." Cana laughs.

"So then, Line up and choose your number." Chapati nods, holding out the box. One by one the guilds pick a number, and the results are displayed on the screen.

1st Erza Scarlet

2nd Milliana

3rd Blaise Zabini

4th Hibiki Lattes

5th Obra

6th Orca

7th Jura

8th Cana

"As I thought." Erza smiles, walking up the Mato, the announcer, "It's all about luck."

"I wouldn't say that…" Mato shakes his head, "I would say that the game is more about how well you utilize your magic power."

"No." Erza says firmly, "This game is over. All one hundred are my opponent. My challenge right is one hundred."

The crowd explodes at her insane declaration as she walks towards the temple, ignoring the pleas of the announcer along the way. Once she steps inside, he sighs, "Well, Erza scarlet will challenge all one hundred monsters at once. Let's watch."

"What do you think, Sixth?" Mavis asks as Erza requips to her heaven wheel armor and walks through the door.

"If anyone could do this, it's her." He smiles, "That girl…"

As soon as she steps into the temple, the door slams shut behind, and the torches along the wall ignite. "Well, no use standing around here." She shrugs, summon two swords as she follows the lit path. It wasn't long until she reaches the end. A large dining room like area with monsters everywhere. Her first target was the massive one at the very back, "S-Class." She smiles, jumping into the fray. Every monster turns towards her, in an attempt to stop her advance.

Left and right she throws swords that impale two in the skull before she summons more weapons to continue. With fifteen down she reaches the S-class, and the first thing it does is try to crush her with a two handed smash. She tries and fails to block it with her usual swords, both shattering on impact as she's knocked head first to the ground. Even inside the temple she hears the crowd gasp as her head bounces of the floor. "Well, that hurt." She smirks, getting to her feet, "Requip. Purgatory." In a flash of light her trademark armor vanishes, replaced with one of her very best.

This time, when it tries to crush her, its hand is slashed open on her blade, causing it to wail in pain. Seizing her opportunity, Erza jumps and slashes downward with her massive blade, intent to cut it down the middle. However, even Purgatory's blade couldn't pierce the armor like head and the blade is deflected to the left, hacking its arm off with ease. It flails its other around madly, killing two of its comrades that came to help it before finally hit Erza and sending her crashing to the wall behind her.

Her armor holds fine, and she escapes injury without any trouble, but she was right back where she started. On the opposite side of the room from the S-class and about fifty monsters separating her from her wounded target. 'I've got to take it down while I'm still at full strength.' She thinks as she changes out of her purgatory armor, opting instead for her Heaven's wheel, 'but this might be the best way…' locking onto the four monsters only slightly small than the S-class, she assumed they were the A-class, she rapidly spawns one hundred swords and turns them into pincushions. Each A-class brings down another D-class when it fell.

'No A-class and the S-class is wounded. I've got to put an end to this soon. Summoning those swords took a lot out of me, but not as much as having to fight all five of those things at once.' She sighs, requiping to her black wing armor and soaring over the horde of monster until she was directly above the S-class. Quickly, she requips to her Giant Armor and giant spear, "DIE!" she shouts, sending the spear crashing tip first into its steel head. This time, there wasn't any way for it to absorb the impact. The spear tore a hole straight through the monster, lodging itself in a crater that formed in the center of the room.

Outside, the crowd cheers, and she couldn't help but smile. Even still, she was just about out of power. Only enough left for one more Requip. This wasn't the first time she'd fought without much magic power. And her choice was the same as when she'd fought Asuma. Using the last of her strength, she requips to her soaring armor, with its twin swords and returns to face the mass of creatures she'd challenged. The top five were down, but most of the others she defeated were D-class. Meaning that the C and B class were still at full strength.

"It's not the Fairy Tail way to hold back." She says with a smile, remind herself of Natsu as she charged at the approaching hoard. With her left swords she'd block whatever attack came at her, countering with the right blade. While doing so, she would take two wounds, and kill one monster each time, knocking two more away with well-placed kicks that likely did more damage to her then them. Regardless, she ignores her pain and continues fighting.

For her guild. For everything they'd suffered for the seven years, living in ridicule. Laughed at for adhering to the Fairy Tail way, for believing in their comrades above all else. Compared to their suffering, her's was a trifle and so she fought. It was a clash of might, and she was determined to win.

Even when one of her blades snap, she simply hold her remaining sword with both hands, smiting foes left and right without concern. Her full attention on offense as she ignores defense entirely. Taking one blow to deliver one kill. Nothing mattered except that win.

The crowd watches in stunned silence as Erza steps out of Pandemonium, leaving devastation in her wake. Blooded from head to toe, magic power almost nonexistent, and smiling, her head held high as she raises a sword in victory.

"THIS IS UNBELIEVEABLE!" Chapati roars along with the cheering crowd once they realized what they were seeing, "Erza Scarlet has crushed the competition. The Fairy Queen stands tall in triumph! Pandemonium has been silenced!"

"There are simply no words for this…" Lahar says in amazement.

"That's Erza!" Milliana laughs.

"That was insane…" Zabini stares in disbelief.

"Quite the remarkable woman." Jura nods approvingly.

"Fairy Tail A has been award ten points for their domination!" Mato laughs, "The judges will now convene to decide how to establish a ranking for the remaining seven teams."

While they waited, Both Fairy Tail teams burst out of the waiting area, rushing towards her.

"That was incredible!" Harry laughs, as Erza staggers towards them. Along with Laxus, Harry helps catch her when she just about falls.

"Here, let me treat your wounds-" Wendy starts but she shakes her head.

"Not yet, Wendy." She smiles, "You might have a match later. Don't waste your energy healing me now. I'm not about to die, so I can wait awhile to make sure you're at full strength."

"Are you sure?" She mumbles, blushing slightly, "It's not like I could win anyway…"

"Wendy!" Erza snaps, making the girl jump, "You can win, but not with that attitude. You've got your second origin awakened, and I know that despite the pain, you found the time to practice those two techniques. You'll do fine. Just believe in yourself."

"I'm sorry…" she mutters.

"Let's get you to Porlyusica." Laxus says as they help Erza out of the stadium, but she stops them for a minute and turns.

"Cana?" she smiles, "Don't let anyone else have second place."

"I hear ya." She nods, cracking her knuckles and grabbing another barrel of booze, "Just let me know when it's my turn to kick ass."

"Cocky much?"

"This from the girl who just basically said that she was better than all the wizard saints by beating the S-class, plus every other beast in there?" Cana smirks, chugging down several mouthfuls.

"Well, maybe it was a bit much…" Erza laughs.

"No." Harry grins, "I think you passed a bit much about a mile back."

"More actually." Lucy sighs, "Honestly, you're more of a monster than anything in there…"

"Come again?" Erza glares halfheartedly, but it still sent shivers down the blond's spine.

"Nothing!" she says a little too quickly but all of them still laughed about it a minute later.

"Actually, I'm not going to leave yet." Erza says calmly, stopping Harry and Laxus, "I want to see this through to the end."

"Erza, you need treatment-"Wendy starts, but Laxus cuts her off, "Fine. But just sit back and relax. You've earned it after that fight."

"Laxus!" Wendy growls, quite unlike Wendy.

"Arguing with Erza won't get you anything but a migraine." He says, lowering her to the ground, "She spent too much time with gramps. Too stubborn for her own good."

"And I don't think that anyone else here can say they're any different." Erza smiles, looking over towards the judges table, where they seemed to break and Mato walked back towards the center of the field, "Look like you guys had better leave. It's restarting."

"Good luck, Cana." All of them say before leaving the stadium to return to the waiting room.

"Only Erza…" Lisanna laughs as the guild continues its victory celebration.

"You were right, Sixth." Mavis says happily, "You have truly done a wonderful job…"

"That was all her." Makarov says, deflecting the praise, "Erza is a proud fighter. She wouldn't allow anyone to assist her in her training. Any strength she has is her own."

"But you did raise her." Macao smirks, "Well, so did the rest of us, but mostly you."

"But why isn't she being treated though?" Max wonders as the rest of the team leaves the field, leaving Erza sitting against the back wall.

"Wendy can't afford to treat her." Makarov nods, "She's a competitor now, so she may have a match later today. It wouldn't be good to have her waste her strength healing wounds that wouldn't get any worse by waiting an hour to see if Wendy does fight."

Before they can continue any further, Mato magically enhances his voice and starts, "Thank you all for your patience. We have decided that the order will be determined using the Magic Power finder, or MPF." Behind him, tournament officials roll out a large, hovering lacrima atop a spiral stand, "It isn't as exciting as Pandemonium, but I think we've all had our fair share of excitement for this morning, courtesy of Fairy Tail."

At this, the whole guild roars loudly, acknowledging what could have been taken as praise or an insult.

Mato raises a staff and fires a yellow bolt of lightning, which disappears when it hits the lacrima. Instead, the lacrima gives off a yellow 'Fifty MP', "When struck by magic power, the MPF absorbs it and gives off a number relative to the strength of the magic. A higher number equals stronger magic."

"So, it's a contest of strength?" Makarov sighs, "Well, Cana isn't the most powerful attacker. I doubt she'll be able to beat Jura or that Sabertooth man. I'm hoping for third place…"

Yeah, third would be good." Jet mutters, followed shortly by everyone else except for Mavis, who just giggles. Makarov turns back to the field just in time to see a cat shaped blast collide with the lacrima, which gives of a three hundred and sixty-five.

"Three sixty five." Yajima says from commentary, "But we don't know if that number is high or low yet. After all, we have nothing to compare it too."

"Actually, we use these in Rune Knight training." Lahar says as Zabini steps up, "That's rather high. Sufficient to achieve the rank of squad captain."

Zabini growls and leaps forward as a yellow cloud covers his hand and punches the MPF. It reads a one hundred and twenty four.

"Well, that isn't all that great." Lahar nods, "He'd be eligible to join, but he wouldn't have any rank."

Next was Hibiki, who to almost no one's surprise scored the lowest so far, ninety-five. "That's to be expected." Makarov sighs as Cana starts comforting the defeated mage, "Hibiki's strength is in knowledge no power. This plays against his strength."

"Raven tail is up next." Mavis warns, as the hooked nose man steps forward, holding a hand out.

"That's the man who attacked Wendy and Carla." Happy hisses.

"Alzack, Bisca." Makarov nods, "Go find someplace where you can observe Ivan from. With Fairy Tail so far in the lead, he's bound to try and interfere again. When he does, take him down."

"Got it." The couple nod as they rush off into the stands. Obra's tiny demon hits a measly four, which almost everyone regarded as a mishit, but it wasn't that hard to tell that he was holding back on purpose, likely hiding his true strength.

"So far, Mermaid Heel's Milliana is in the lead." Lahar notes as Orca steps up, "But these next two are on a different level then the last four."

"120 mm Black lightning cannon!" Orca shouts, sending a compressed ball of lightning flying at the MPF. It collides and explodes on contact, scoring three thousand, eight hundred and twenty five. Milliana's jaw drops as orca scores ten times her score easily.

"Even in the squad, a score like that is unheard of!" Lahar gasps as Orca tries and fails to sing a song when Jura takes his stance, asking Mato a quick question before he attacks.

"Rumbling Mt. Fuji!"

A geyser of magma erupts underneath the MPF, lighting up the whole area in its fiery glow, all the while displaying the wizard saint's score.

"E-e-eight thousand five hundred and forty four!" Makarov gasps, "He could even match Gildarts!"

While the crowd cheers, Mato announces this as the new record, all the while Jura simply bows courteously and steps back, clearing the way for Cana to make her move.

"Don't forget that she carries Gildarts blood." Mavis giggles

"I'm sure she can beat four hundred." Makarov nods, but to his shock, Cana drunkenly starts removing her clothes, "Get your ass in gear!" he shouts, slamming his fist against the rail to make a point, until he notices a mark on her arm. The mark of Fairy Tail. Only different. A symbol that should be found only one place in the world. On Tenrou island. At Mavis' grave.

"First…" He says in disbelief as the childish master next to him grins.

"That's right. I gave it to her again." With a wide smile, she adds, "So she could win."

As Makarov stares in horror, she continues, "Her latent magic was strong to begin with. This time, she'll succeed."

Down on the field, Cana held up her arm and chanted.

Gather! Oh river of light guided by the Fairies!

Shine! And Destroy the fangs of Evil!

In the sky above the MPF, the Fairy Tail magical seal forms, as it always did when in the presence of one of the guilds three great magic. The intense light slams down to the ground with an echoing roar as Cana yells, "Fairy Glitter!"

Even the MPF couldn't stand the power, and it evaporated, leaving nothing behind but the number in the air. Nine thousand, Nine hundred and Ninety-nine.

"W-w-what is this guild!?"Lahar yells, but it's drowned out by the roars of disbelief and of congratulation from the audience.

"It's a one-two finish in the competition portion!" Mato announces after it had quieted slightly, "No one can stop Fairy Tail now!"

Cana smiles in the center of the field, arms spread wide as the cheers rained down on her, "We're unstoppable! We're Fairy Tail, after all!"

"On that incredible note, today's competition portion has ended!" Mato sighs, "A bit too much excitement though…. Regardless, we'll take a short break before we continue onward to the battle portion!"

The guilds celebration kept going throughout the break. Porlyusica left almost immediately, claiming that she couldn't stand being around so many humans, but none of them bought that. They knew she was going to treat Erza's injuries.

"Who do you think we'll fight today?" Wakaba asks after returning with more drinks, ranging from beer to juice, for the younger members.

"Well, if I understand the rules right, no team will face another more than once." Makarov says thoughtfully, "So A team won't face Raven Tail or Quarto Puppy. B team won't face Lamia or Blue Pegasus."

"Well, I'm not really afraid of B team fighting Quarto puppy." Romeo grins widely, "With Laxus, Mira, Gajeel, and Gabby, it wouldn't even be a challenge. Even Cana if she used that magic again."

"She won't be able to use Fairy Glitter again." Mavis says happily, "But I don't think it'll come down to that. I'm thinking that, after deciding on Fairy Tail A fighting for the first day, Maybe B team will fight Raven Tail…"

"Lisanna, I have a job for you." Makarov says, turning to the youngest of the Takeover siblings.

"What's up?" she asks, handing the drinks out to a few of the other members.

"Take the thunder god tribe, and keep an eye on the Raven Tail team." He answers, taking a sip of his beer, "I believe that the First is correct. And against the B team, which is even stronger than the A team, I have no doubt that he'll get involved. We can't let that happen."

"I'll go now." Lisanna nods, rushing through the stands to find the three mages.

"Warren, keep your telepathy on Bisca and Alzack and with Lisanna." He instructs the mage to his left, "At the first sign that they're interfering, we're going en masse."

"Right." Warren nods, placing a hand to his forehead to establish the connection.

"Thank you all for your patience." Mato says once the field had been cleared and reset for the battles, "The first battle will be Mermaid Heel's Susan Bones against Quarto Puppy's Michael Corner!"

Susan strides confidently onto the field, as the last of the quarto Puppy members removed his cloak and revealed the face of Ginny Weasley's ex-boyfriend.

"I know him." Harry mutters, "Michael Corner was a Ravenclaw in my year."

"Was he any good?' Grey asks, as Michael draws his wand, "He's not actually going to use that, is he?"

"Hello Michael." Susan smiles at her former classmate.

"Hello Susan." He nods, "Let's get started. I don't think these people came to watch us catch up."

"True." She says, holding her hand out and letting them get covered in white gems, "I hope you've got some magic besides that, or this is going to be over with really quick."

"Tough talk." He smirks, sending a black jet of light at her.

Susan snaps her fingers and a white gem appears in her hand. She lightly tosses it into the path of the spell, which collides with it and disappears, leaving only a faint white smoke inside the clear crystal, "Gem demon's prison." She says calmly, taking a deep breath, "Gem Demon's Cry!" a wave of white light shot from her open mouth, straight towards the quarto puppy mage, who dodges by the skin of his teeth.

Unfortunately, he wasn't expecting her next move. She lightly taps the crystal from earlier, and it shoots his own spell back at him, striking him on the side of the head. He instantly collapses to the ground, unmoving.

"The Winner is Mermaid Heel!" Mato says as the medic's rush to Michael.

"About what I expected." Harry shrugs, "Well, now we know everyone on Quarto Puppy's team."

"And only Bacchus would be any kind of threat." Erza says, walking back into the room, heavily bandaged, "No offense to the rest of them, but I think you'd all be able to take them down easily enough."

"The next match is Rufus of Sabertooth versus Eve from Blue Pegasus!"

"Now it gets interesting." Grey mutters, staring at hat wearing Sabertooth mage intently.

"What's interesting?" Harry asks, looking at the ice mage.

"Right, you weren't there." Erza nods, "Rufus' magic is similar to Grey's. It's maker magic. So grey's made it his mission to prove that he's better than Rufus."

"That's not it." Grey glares, "I just want to prove that Ur's magic is the best. That's all."

"Regardless, that's your opponent." Erza says, pointing towards the screen just as Rufus sends a fiery spell that defeats Eve.

"Well, Fairy Tail's in the next match." Wendy says as she paces nervously.

"You'll do fine." Erza says easily, "If you are selected to fight, Wendy, just go and win."

"But…" Wendy mutters, looking hopefully up at the screen.

"The next match is Raven Tail's Alexei vs., Fairy Tail B's Laxus!" Mato says happily, and Erza glares.

"That's not good."

"You think they'll interfere again?" Harry asks, "Like in Lucy's match?"

"I think they'll have to." Erza nods, "We've got too much of a lead. If they don't stop us soon, we'll be almost unbeatable."

"Will Laxus be okay?" Wendy asks.

"He'll be fine." Harry and Erza say at the same time.

"Well, at least it's Laxus." Makarov smiles, "This shouldn't be too tough. After all, Laxus is likely the strongest member of Fairy Tail in the competition."

"But he's up against Raven Tail…" Nob wonders.

"Anything?" he asks Warren.

"Not yet. Neither the team, nor the guild master has made any moves." The telepathic mage says, shaking his head.

When the gong sounds, Alexei shots off, plowing Laxus face first into the ground. Laxus tries to counter with an uppercut, enhanced by his lightning, but Alexi dodges easily, kicking him in the ribs and sends him flying, crashing into the dirt

"What is he?!" Makarov glares as Laxus tries to fight back, only to be sent flying again, "What the hell kind of mage can do that to Laxus without even using Magic!?"

"Something's not right here…" Mavis says, eyes wide as she takes in the area.

Laxus glares at the man across from him, "So what's the deal?" he asks, glancing down at himself lying in the dirt, covered in wounds.

"I thought it would be best to talk privately." Alexei answers, taking off his helmet, "Hello, son."

"I should have known." Laxus growls, "My shitty old man…"

"Come now, Laxus." He scalds, "Surely Makarov taught you better than that."

"You're right. He taught me to pound you face in before you opened your mouth." He replies, "So, what do you want, and what's the deal with this crappy illusion?"

"I want to know. Where is the Lumen Histoire?" Ivan asks, as the other four members of Raven Tail's team walk towards them.

"Haven't the slightest what the hell you're talking about." Laxus says easily, glancing at them.

"Come now, my son…" Ivan laughs, "No need to keep up the façade. Makarov must have told you. Think about it. Right now, the crowd is watching this illusion, believing it to be true. An illusion can be changed as the caster wishes. Depending on your answer, you could even prevail. All you have to do is tell me where it is. Otherwise, well my foolish son, you'll have to suffer a true beating at the hands of the ultimate anti Fairy Tail guild! Now, I'll try this once more. Where is the Lumen Histoire?!"

"No idea." Laxus glares, bringing his lightning magic to bear, "Bring it on. My master's enemy is my enemy."

"You would pass up the chance to win in such a hopeless situation?" Ivan stares, "Against our might?"

"Gramps investigated you." Laxus answers, "Your funds, location, and members. Your activates, and everything you've done for the last seven years."

"He What!" Ivan roars.

"It was Gajeel!" Flare yells.

"So, he was a double agent…" Ivan growls, clenching his fist.

"Even though Gramps knew that, he never acted against you." He sighs, coating his arm in his lightning magic, "When I asked him about it, he said that even after seven years, you never leaked 'that' information. And because you didn't do anything to Fairy Tail during that time, he wasn't going to make things worse. Somewhere deep in his heart, Gramps believed in you. Believed that you wouldn't do any harm. Because you're father and son…"

"SILENCE!" Ivan yells, sending a tornado of Shikigami at him, which disintegrated on contact with his lightning coated arm, "You think I didn't want to hurt you? Of course I wouldn't! Because there's no way an expelled member like you would know anything about the Lumen Histoire! I've lived in the shadows for all these years! All to obtain it!" with his other arm, he creates more and more tornados, each clashing viciously against his lightning armor, "The guild, the city, Tenrou Island, Every place connected to the guild! I've searched them all and I still couldn't find it! Now tell me! Where is it!? TELL ME, LAXUS! AREN'T YOU MY SON!?"

With Laxus showing no signs of relenting, and no signs of weariness, Ivan growls, "Obra! Take away his magic Power!"

"So, it was you." Laxus smirks, throwing off the tornado and blasting towards the hook nosed man, kicking him full force to the face, his head bouncing painfully of the ground, unconscious before he ever saw it coming, "That was for Wendy."

"Needle Blast!" Nullpudding says, spines covering his arms as he raced towards Laxus.

"Crimson hair!" flare shouts, her hair spearing towards him.

He easily dodges the hair, and the arm strike before glaring down at the chubby man who'd caused his comrades such problems in the first competition, "This is for Harry and Gabby!" A downward punch creates a crater, with an unconscious body at the bottom.

"I've got you now!" Flare laughs as her hair wraps around Laxus' forearm.

Grabbing the hair, he drags her towards him, "This is for Lucy!" focusing his power into his fist, he flattens her with one blow, takin her completely by surprise. The lightning caused the hair around him to disintegrate.

"Impossible…!" Ivan gasps as half of his men are defeated before the even land a hit on him. Only he and Kurohebi lasted longest, and as Kurohebi snuck up behind Laxus, he send off a shikigami to the stands, ordering Midorihebi to join them. Just in time, too, as Kurohebi was thrown backwards with one hand.

"I ain't got a clue what your goal is, but I'm holding you responsible for hurting my friends!" Laxus says as he marches towards his father. Around them, the Alexei and Laxus illusions were still fighting, and he was still losing.

"W-wait! I'm your father! We're family! Are you going to hurt your father!?"

"My Family is Fairy Tail!" Laxus says as he throws a lightning filled punch, only to have it blocked by a wall of black sludge, which begins eating away at his arm.

"Midorihebi!" Ivan smiles, "Excellent timing."

"Give it a rest." She says, walking forward, her sludge coating the ground around them, "You really lost when it was five on one? You're all a disgrace."

"Whatever." Ivan spits, "Just crush him already."

"And what are you going to do?" She says, looking at him out of the corner of her eye.

"What do you mean?" He glares.

"You're Laxus, right?" she says coldly, looking at him.

"Yeah."

"I was going to beat your ass for beating my brother. But I changed my mind." She shrugs, stepping aside and leaving a clear path. Ivan gasps in response, "By all means clubber our inept guild master."

"I think I will." Laxus grins, lashing out and punching him dead in the face. From the feel of the punch, he shattered his jaw. Ivan was sent flying, straight through the two illusions that he created which both disappeared once he'd lost consciousness.

"What in the world..!?" Chapati gasps.

"But what happened here?" Mato says in shock, "He's the guild master! Alexei is the Raven Tail Guild master Ivan! It was six on one, and even with the guild master, Laxus stands victorious! No matter how you look at it this is foul play!"

"Ivan…" Makarov glares ruthlessly, "You played a dirty hand…"

"Do not get involved, Sixth." Mavis says calmly as the guards carry away the raven tail team, except for Midorihebi, who walks away under her own power, "This battle was his, and he's won. There's no reason to make good on your earlier threats."

"I still can't believe that he would…" Makarov sighs, "Warren, call the others back."

"Right." He says, issuing the orders.

"Well, Raven Tail's tournament participation rights have been revoked for three years! And they have been disqualified this year!" Mato says after the bodies had been removed, "Never the less, we'll continue with today's final match. Fairy Tail A's Wendy Marvel versus Lamia Scale's Chelia Blendy!"

"Wendy's next." Makarov sighs, "Do your best, Wendy."

Wendy walks out to the field, appearing much more confident than she was. Erza's words still lingered in the back of her mind, but she still wasn't sure she was ready. And it was against that girl, the one that beat Gajeel in the competition portion the day before.

Across from her, Chelia was walking confidently… until she tripped over her own feet and feel, face first, into the sand.

"Are you alr-"Wendy says, running towards her until she does the same thing, and the crowd starts laughing.

Both witches ignore them and get back to their feet.

"Nice to meet you." Wendy says, brushing the sand from her outfit.

"Same." Chelia says as she gets up as well.

"Here I come." Wendy says, activating her magic.

"Yup." Chelia says as she takes her stance as well.

"Arms, vernier, Enchant." She says as the wind blows all around, increasing her speed and power, Sky Dragon's Wing Attack!"

Not expecting it, Chelia takes the wind blades full force and is sent flying backwards and crashing to the ground, or at least appears to. In reality she rolls out of the way and comes up ready.

"Sky God's Ploias!" she shouts, sending blades of black wind at Wendy, who deflects them with her talons, "Amazing!" Chelia compliments as she lands, jumping towards Wendy, "In that case… Sky God's dance!"

The black wind in her hand rockets Wendy into the sky, and Chelia is quick to jump after her, "It's not over yet." She warns, arm drawn back to attack the midair dragon slayer.

Seeing her chance, Wendy focus on her feet and releases a torrent of air, "Sky Dragon's claw!" the air knocks Chelia away ,and both girls fall back to the ground, landing on their feet as they breathe deeply.

"Sky Dragon's…"

"Sky God's…"

"Roar!" Wendy shouts, releasing a tornado that roars towards her opponent.

"Bellow!" Chelia yells, and the black tornado clashes with the white.

A shockwave ripped through the arena, knocking everyone back into their seats. Several people who were unfortunate enough to be going to get a drink at that moment were knocked down easily. Despite the power of both, Wendy's magic was simply pushed back, and Wendy takes the brunt of the spell, while Chelia takes only a glancing blow from it.

"I thought so…" Wendy pants, struggling to her feet, "A god slayer..."

"Sorry about that." Chelia says sincerely, "Why don't you just give up? I really don't want to have to hurt you anymore…"

"No, it's fine." Wendy says, taking her stance again, "Right now, I am fighting for my guild just as you are fighting for yours."

'Sure." Chelia smiles, releasing even more black wind, "Let's have some more fun than."

"I don't know about fun…" Wendy sighs, bringing up her own magic despite the pain in her body, "But everyone else worked so hard to get here. I can't afford not to fight my hardest. I'll fight for real now."

Both of them start sucking up air, not for attacks, but to replenish their strength. The air in the arena suddenly seems just a bit thinner.

With her power restored, Wendy goes all out. Throwing both of her hands out, she says, "Dragon Slayer's Secret technique!" A sudden tornado surrounds both of them, completely isolating even the god slayer from the rest of the world.

"A wind barrier…" Chelia gulps, looking for some way out. The only exit, in the sky, had just closed, trapping both of them.

"Shattering light: Sky Drill!" Wendy roars, and the tornado lands straight on top of Chelia, sending the god slayer flying before she hits the ground, hard.

'Maybe I over did it.' Wendy thinks while panting.

"Chelia's down!" Mato says, raising a hand and Fairy Tail starts to cheer from the stands.

"Sorry, just give me a second!" Chelia smiles, getting back to her feet like nothing happened.

She couldn't believe her eyes. The wounds to her side had closed completely and Chelia was smiling like she hadn't a care in the world.

"You are strong, Wendy." She says as she walks back towards her. Noticing how out of breath she is, Chelia asks, "are you alright? Are you going to give up?"

"I'm fine." Wendy says, drawing on what little magic she had left.

"You're not giving up?" Chelia sighs, "I... don't hate fighting. But there isn't any love in one-sided violence when the victor is clear. After what you've done, no one would think any less of you for giving up, ok?"

"I can't." Wendy says firmly, catching the lamia mage off guard, "I don't need your pity. The fact that I'm here is proof that I'm ready to fight for my guild to the end. Until I can no long stand, please come at me with all your strength!"

"Of course." Chelia nods, "That's only fair." This time, its Chelia drawing on the last of her strength, "I'll end it with this next attack. God Slayer's Secret Art!" In the stands, her guild mates start yelling for her to stop, but she ignores them, Black wind gathering into a massive ball above her hands, "The strength of your feelings leaves me no choice but to show my true power." A torrent of black wind like a snake shoots straight towards Wendy, "Heavenly Gathering of Clouds!"

Wendy gasps as the attack flies at her, and notices two things in the split second before the spells hit. First that Chelia was control it, and second that her movements had slowed somewhat. 'No choice.' She thinks as she sends a very small bullet of her healing magic at the god slayer and tries to dodge to the left.

"Not a chance!" Chelia says, redirecting the spell. Because of Wendy's healing magic, she was unknowingly restored to full strength, but didn't know to compensate for that in her attack, leading to her overshooting the distance and missing Wendy completely. As soon as she notices, she grins, "this was your plan!"

Not wasting any of the time that her unlikely plan bough, Wendy charges at Chelia, "Sky Dragon's piercing fang!"

The claw strikes cut into Chelia's arm, but are quickly closed by Chelia's magic. With both combatants out of power, they trade bare handed punches, neither giving an inch out of loyalty to their guilds. The crowd watches in awe as the two fight their hardest, each determined not to lose. What magic they recovered was channeled to their fists, exchanging punches over and over again until finally…

"Time is up!" Mato announces just both almost lose the strength to stand, "This match is a draw! Both Teams receive five points!"

"That was great!" Chelia pants as she walks towards Wendy.

"Yeah… I had a bit of fun too." She admits sheepishly as Chelia starts to heal her wounds.

"Let's be friends, Wendy." Chelia smiles brightly, helping her to her feet.

"Yeah." Wendy smiles back, and the crowd cheers for the newly formed friends.

"With that, the third day is finally over!" Mato says as the two leave the field together, "The final scores will be displayed on the screen!"
