Day Twelve
Prompt: Continuation of last chapter
Dedicated: to my cousin that kept me company this weekend.
"That's not fair," Elena pipes back.
"What's not fair is thousands of people are now buried somewhere because a selfish little girl decided she couldn't bare being a vampire so she killed an Original knowing that would kill thousands."
"I wanted kids," she screams in defense. Elena knows that's not the best reason. But she never expected to be comforted about this.
"Adopt or wait for fucking Klaus to dagger him for a century, dumbass."
"What do you want me say?" Elena says near a breaking point.
"Nothing, Elena, nothing. I guess it's too much to ask for you to show some remorse and compassion for the people you murdered. I'm sorry," Caroline rolls her eyes.
It should never have to come down to this but the life of one or the life of many. It comes back to good V.S. evil. Good would (ninety-nine percent of the time) choose the life of one or (almost if not hundred percent of the time) found a way to sacrifice themself. Right? Evil would choose the people closet and more relevant to them most definitely. A way you ask they could solved that situation without murder and what should have been jail time. Have Klaus dagger Kol. Simple fixes to less than simple situations. The life of zero and Elena could have found the cure. Boom! Klaus isn't good but in this situation he im was. But of course, Elena finds cure. Klaus drains her of her blood for his hybrids. Oh, well. Wait! Simple fix to that too. Donate a couple bags every six months. God, damn.
"You can't always get what you want and how you want it. I've killed. I...I regret it. I want to blame it on being a new vampire but...I'm just sorry," Caroline looks up to the sky. She hopes he can see her and accept her apology. "Did you ever apologize to Klaus? Rebekah at the least. Even Elijah." She shakes her head at everyone.
"Am I'm supposed to be sorry?" Yes!
"Maybe not for Kol... Yes for Kol! You killed someone." She can't be the only one to see how wrong that is.
"He tried to kill Jeremy."
"Tried, Elena! This isn't dodgeball. You don't kill before they kill you. You leave or in this case dagger him 1or get Klaus to dagger him." Or maybe you do and she's just talking out the side of her neck. She's just a firm believer that murder is murder. It should not happen. They didn't shove pencils in your heart. Don't shove a fucking white oak stake in their heart.
"How did this get turned on me. We are talking about you going to visit the man that murdered my aunt?"
"You're dating or fucking the person that abused me. Get over it!"
