AN: I was not going to do this episode! but… I was afraid I would have a riot on my hands if I didn't, so I decided to add in a little scene because that's really all I could get out of it. So this chapter will be short but hopefully you guys will enjoy it.

Arthur had not seen Merlin all day. That was alright because another servant woke him up and helped him dress, but Arthur had to admit he was worried. Merlin had been acting strange for days; stealing Arthur's food, rushing through his chores, and coming up with poorly made excuses. Then of course the strange cat like creature had been attacking Camelot and Arthur could not help but wonder what, if anything, Merlin had to do with the creature or its disappearance.

It was one of the many things that Arthur was forced to ignore while waiting for his manservant to someday tell him the truth, still when Arthur walked into his chambers to see Merlin cleaning his boots he had to admit he was relieved, after the incident with Morgause, Arthur half expected Merlin to pick up and leave.

"Ah! Merlin," Arthur stated, tossing his wrist guard on the table and pulling off his gloves, "I've been looking for you." It was hard to chastise Merlin when he was sitting on the floor doing what he was supposed to be doing, even harder to do so when Merlin responded so dejectedly.

"Yeah, right. You're going to ask me to polish your armor, and to wash your clothes, and clean your room." Merlin stated.

Arthur did not say anything as he came to sit beside Merlin. While things had pretty much gone back to normal after the incident with Morgause, Arthur knew there was a greater rift between them, but he still could tell that something was wrong. As he sat he inspected Merlin, something was definitely wrong, was Merlin finally showing his anger at what Arthur had said after the fight with his father?

"Something's been upsetting you hasn't it?" He asked.

Merlin's eyes glanced up, but did not look over towards Arthur. "Maybe." he responded mysteriously, indicating that he was not going to tell Arthur what it was, which probably meant it had something to do with his hidden magic.

"Was it when I threw water over you?" Arthur asked, knowing that it most likely was not. After all, Arthur had done way worse things to Merlin, like what he had said to him about magic…

Merlin looked up at him incredulously, but then just chuckled. "That wasn't very nice." Merlin stated.

"It was a bit unfair." Arthur said, not thinking about the water incident at all. He chased the thought from his mind. "Like when you called me fat?" he questioned.

Merlin's response was quick, "Why was that unfair?"

"Because I am not f—" Arthur trailed off as he looked and saw the teasing look on Merlin's face. Merlin turned back to his cleaning, a self satisfied smirk on his face.

Arthur sat there a moment, no way was he going to let that one go. Looping an arm around Merlin's neck he pulled him down and began knuckling his head.

"Ow! Ow!" Merlin cried.

"Still think I need to get in shape?" Arthur taunted.

"No! Nononono!" Merlin exclaimed until Arthur finally released him.

Now Arthur was the one with the grin. Merlin looked at him with a smile on his face.

"That's better." Arthur stated.

"Thanks." Merlin said though didn't really sound that grateful.

"You are alright, though." Arthur said and it was more a statement than a question. Merlin nodded.

"You need to polish my armor, wash my clothes, and clean my room." Arthur ordered, patting Merlin on the shoulder as he got up. As he walked away he turned and saw a small smile still on Merlin's lips. Maybe he could not fix what he had said to Merlin, but he would not stop trying.

AN: As it turns out I'm really glad I added this in. It's a nice healing moment for their relationship after Sins of the Father. I know it was short, hopefully will be getting you guys a longer one soon. As always leave a review!

God bless!
