A/N: Just as a head's up, I may go on a slight hiatus. I'm beginning to catch up with myself, and I'm a freak so I like to be several chapters ahead of the chapter I post. It's weird, I know, but bear with me. Enjoy chapter 12 guys!

"Seriously?" Annabeth questioned to no one in particular.

She went to grab her dagger, but then realized where it actually was. She hadn't found one to replace it yet, and she stupidly did not get a weapon to keep on her person until she did.

Getting up quickly, Annabeth speed-walked to the other side of the playground. She found a hellhound on the other side, but it hadn't noticed her. It was looking towards the children.

Well, one of them is a demigod, Annabeth noted then tried to pull the hellhound's attention from whatever poor defenseless kid it had caught a whiff of.

It wasn't hard to do that, and soon Annabeth found herself running to save her own life. All she did was throw a rock, apparently hellhounds have short attention spans.

While trying to lose the monster, Annabeth recognized the neighborhood she was in as Percy's. She sped up and ran in the direction of his apartment. Luckily, he was just walking outside. Not as lucky for him though because she nearly plowed him down.

"Whoa, there. What's wrong?" Percy asked while holding her upright.

"Hellhound... kids... no weapon... help," Annabeth said between gasps of breath.

Percy grabbed riptide just as the hellhound rounded the corner.

"Go upstairs and get water. You're exhausted. This'll be quick," Percy instructed before charging.

Annabeth nodded, but didn't do what he said right away. She simply observed her amazing boyfriend. He was doing well, obviously. The hellhound wasn't going to die easily, but Percy was still barely breaking a sweat. Guess that's what being the child of a prophecy will do to you, she thought. Always the hero.

Annabeth turned and walked up to Percy's apartment. She hesitantly knocked on the door, not knowing if Percy was on his own or not.

A few moments later, the door was opened by none other than Sally Jackson-Blofis, answering Annabeth's question.

"Annabeth! You look exhausted, come in!" Sally exclaimed while pulling Annabeth into the apartment.

"That's what happens when you run several city blocks in a short amount of time," Annabeth said with a shrug.

Sally led her to the kitchen where she got her a glass of water.

"Sit," she commanded. "Percy just left."

"Actually, I didn't," they heard Percy's voice say as he walked into the kitchen. "Before I got out of the building, I found Annabeth being chased by a hellhound."

"Didn't you have a weapon?" Sally questioned.

"I haven't exactly found a replacement yet," Annabeth said sheepishly.

"I'd feel better if you had one you could use until you replaced yours," Percy muttered.

"Well, I would need to go back to camp to do that," Annabeth snapped, turning to look at him.

"It wouldn't be that hard to go and get a weapon," Percy argued back.

"I just remembered that Paul and I need to get something from the store," Sally said then quickly left the room.

"Maybe it hasn't occurred to you that life isn't so convenient that I can just stop by camp to get something," Annabeth said while standing up.

"I don't care how convenient it is; it could be a matter of life or death!" Percy shouted.

"Don't you dare raise your voice at me, Perseus Jackson!"

"You aren't listening to me. You need to understand that I can't let you get hurt. It would destroy me."

Annabeth stopped for a moment. "Why are we fighting?" she asked.

"I don't know," Percy said softly. He walked closer to Annabeth and laced his fingers with hers. "I'm sorry."

Annabeth leaned up and kissed him. It was a slow kiss full of love and forgiveness. When she pulled away, Percy pressed his forehead to hers.

"You know," he started, "I've heard that sitting on the couch is a lot comfier than standing in the middle of the kitchen."

"You're such a Seaweed Brain," Annabeth muttered as she let herself be pulled into the living room. They sat on the couch, and Annabeth cuddled up to Percy. He began to stroke her hair, and she felt herself smile.

"You make me so happy," Percy said. "I really am sorry for yelling at you. It was uncalled for."

"But you were right, I wasn't listening to you. How about tomorrow, I skip my session with Mr. Alexander, and we can go to camp. Just for the night," Annabeth suggested.

"That would make me feel so much better," Percy said then tilted her head up, meeting his lips with hers.

Annabeth heard the door open and the rustling of bags, so she pulled away from Percy and giggled.

"Are you done fighting? Because I just made Paul go to the store and things that we don't need. I couldn't prolong our return anymore than I already had," Sally shouted from the kitchen.

"It's all good, Mom!" Percy shouted then laid down on the couch, pulling Annabeth with him.

Annabeth cuddled up to her boyfriend and allowed her eyes to close. A nap was exactly what she needed.

Right as she was drifting off, she heard Percy murmur, "so beautiful," and felt the pressure of his lips on her forehead.

She was at camp on the porch of the Big House where she had view of tables filled with lots of people and food. At first, she thought it was just campers, but after getting a better look, she saw gods and goddesses, Paul and Sally, and even her own father.

I wonder what's going on. Are celebrating something? she thought to herself.

"Wise Girl," Annabeth heard Percy's voice say. She turned to see Percy dressed dashingly in a suit with a sea green tie. "I can't get over how beautiful how beautiful you look."

Annabeth smiled then looked down at herself. She was shocked to see herself in a white dress that flowed just past her knees.

"Percy," she said softly, then realized what was going on around her. It was their wedding day.

"It's going to take me a while to get used to calling you Annabeth Jackson," he joked.

Annabeth felt so happy. She moved to kiss her new husband, but was stopped. Moving was impossible.

"I can't move. Why can't I move?" she asked frantically.

Annabeth got no reply because the happy scene around her was quickly melting away. It was replaced by Tartarus and a very angry looking Bob.

"Why did you and Percy leave me behind?" he asked. "I should be able to see the stars!"

Annabeth awoke to Percy shaking her.

"You were having a bad dream," he said softly as Annabeth looked up at him.

"How could you tell?" she asked, looking at the clock. Only an hour has passed.

"You were shaking and crying," he explained. "Do you want to talk about it?"

She felt her face and found tears on her cheek.

"No, I should probably go home," Annabeth said then went to get up.

Percy grabbed her wrist. "Couldn't you stay. I would feel much better if you did. Mom and Paul won't mind at all, and you would only have to call Malcolm to tell him that you're here."

Annabeth would be lying if she said that she didn't consider it.

"Percy, I don't have anything with me," she reasoned.

"Fine, but from now on, you keep extra everything here," Percy joked.

"We'll see," she replied then went to get her school bag from where she left it in the kitchen.

Percy followed her. "Do you want me to walk you home?" he asked.

"No, it's too inconvenient. I'll call you once I get back to let you know that I'm okay," Annabeth replied.

He walked her to the door. "I'll see you tomorrow, Wise Girl."

She leaned up to kiss him. "Love you."

"Love you, too."

I liked this chapter. Did you? I'm not really doing a QOTD for this chapter. Because I'm taking a break to focus on writing, I want to know what you guys want to see in the future. So far, I have the projects for Ancient Greek and the dance. What else do you want to see? What else do you want to see the characters go through? I'm open to any and all suggestions.

I'll try not to stay away too long. Love you guys!
