Wow, so many reviews! You guys are the best! Thank you so much for them and please keep it up. :D Grinning like crazy. Also thanks for the encouragement; I hope I could reach my goal someday too.

This chapter is short. I did not plan to make much change, but dann, it was harder than I thought to finish it. I still don't know if I will combine the next two chapters together or publish them separately. I will have to see.

P.S. Does anyone get sick lately? I have been sort of sick in the past few days, not enough for bedridden or anything, but enough to get on my nerves. Especially the running nose. I hope you guys are healthy and stay healthy. :D Take care.

P.S.S Sesshomaru doesn't hate to see Rin being happy, he just hate that someone else make her happy while he couldn't. :D

The deer was soft and juicy. Katsumi took her share and enjoyed the meal beside the warm fire in demon's way which is eating raw. Everyone but Sesshomaru, who didn't seem to be capable of eating because no one had ever seen him eat, and Ah-Un who did not eat meat were enjoying the meal. Katsumi was impressed that the deer was brought down by Rin and not Daisuke. The shot was clean. She saw the girl in a new light.

Had Rin been a demoness, her skill would have been fearsome. Though, no one would have guessed from her delicate appearance. The human looked weak, almost fragile, and adding that to her humble personality, she looked like someone who could always use protection, not a strong warrior who could shoot through your heart while blindfolded. That only proved: nothing should be judged by appearance.

Not that Katsumi could complain for she too were of that same impression. She looked like someone who only knew how to stay pretty. Many doubted she was capable of dressing herself without the help of a maid, left alone surviving on a battle field. But if that was what you thought then that's where it doomed you. She almost smirked at the thought.

There were demons who assumed she was weak just because she was a woman and beautiful. Some offered her the protection they could not give, some threatened to take her by force. Countless men wounded up under her feet, face red with shame, cursing angrily at her because of their bruised ego.

Daisuke silently handed her half of the deer's heart knowing it was her favorite. Their favorite. The human and the imp had no interest in the organ and Daisuke always shared the good with her when he got one. She thanked her friend with a smile and silently sank her teeth into the tough muscle.

She was surprised yet wasn't at the same time to see Daisuke retuning with Rin that evening. Knowing her friend, he must have been interrogating Rin about her relationship with Sesshomaru.

Not that she was not curious. She was also dying to know what they were to each other.

Daisuke had always been a straight-forward person and went right to the heart of the matter instead of beating around the bush. From his happy expression, the answer must have been one to his liking. But that too was worrying her. The light in her friend's eyes anytime he looked at Rin since the moment they met indicated that the girl had held his interest. Not to mention that his eyes always lingered on the girl, whether he was conscious of his actions or not. And that fact in itself was bad. She just hoped that his feeling would not grow to more than what it should be, simple interest.

Sesshomaru would not be happy once he found out. Weather Rin was his play thing or not, he was not one to let anyone touch what was his. The fact that Sesshomaru allowed the human girl to travel with him already declared his claim over her.

If Daisuke indeed became infatuated with the girl… things could get ugly.

She hated to be forced to choose between her best friend and future her husband so soon. Katsumi tore a piece of meat off with her sharp fangs and started to chew on it.

Not that it was a hard choice.
