Author's Note: I seem to be favoring doing these little shorts these days, maybe because they don't take very long to write… By the way I am now taking suggestions, and prompts for this again. If you have a situation or perhaps even a certain line you want to hear them say, you can either comment on this story or private message me and I will do my best to write the situations for you guys. Just put it in "quotation marks" for me, and I'll credit you for the prompt at the beginning.
Rin was running back in fourth behind Sesshomaru, giggling as she went. She hadn't really been with him all that long, but now it was growing cold out and the ground had even been covered in a heavy white layer. Rin had loved the snow all previous times she had seen it, though she was finding it to be cold to be outside in only her summer dress.
The older ladies of her old village always made sure she had somewhat warm wrappings for the colder times when she was outside. Though she really didn't want to complain to her Lord Sesshomaru for she already suspected that he thought that she was just a weakly human. Even though she knew that she was just that, she wanted to try to be strong, didn't want him to see her weakness after he had already done so much for her. He had given her life out of cold nothingness.
Eventually, she had to stop with her frantic movement, though she had already found that they weren't really keeping her warm as she had wanted anyway. She lagged behind, and eventually had to stop because her feet stung from the cold. She found her small tired eyes glaring at the ground; it was hard to believe that the snow that she had admired and loved so much had turned out to be so evil.
She sat down because her legs that were just ice refused to hold her up any longer. Tears ran down her face and even they stung in the cold, and perhaps even froze her face a tiny bit. Sesshomaru was out of her sigh now and she could even cry out for help, though he was doubtful that he would have turned around for her anyway. Why would someone so almighty like him waste time on the tiny and weak of her?
Minutes after she had buried her face into her knees, she felt herself lifted and surrounded by warmth. Looking up she could see her savior Sesshomaru. He had stashed her in a blanket and was now holding her close as he continued to journey on. She clung to him and wiped off her tears, all fears of being left behind now gone, all fears of freezing gone. Sesshomaru was keeping her safe, alive, and healthy; and she would follow him forever to show how grateful she was.
