on with the story!

Cassidy's POV

Riker finally agreed to let us untie Trish and Dez's arms so they could eat—but not their legs. I found that kind of stupid since they could just reach down and untie themselves, but Rydel's warning look told me not to say that out loud.

So I kept my mouth shut as they ate their cheeseburgers.

"Like it?" Rydel asked sweetly.

I can't believe she was actually acting like that again. At first I honestly thought she was really like that—dumb, hyper, and annoying. But it was an act all along.

Trish glared at us. "I would like it a lot better if you would at least let us use our phones."

Riker shook his head. "Nope! Then you could—" I elbowed him.

"—do nothing," I continued for him through clenched teeth. "Nothing."

He swallowed and nodded nervously. I hid a smirk.

Rydel titled her head idiotically. "Hey, Rike?"

"Yeah, Delly?"

"Aren't Austin and Ally about to 'present' their revenge?"

I perked up. "You're right, Del—I mean Rydel," I turned to Riker. "We can let them out now, can't we?"

Trish and Dez looked at all of us hopefully. Clearly they just wanted to get out of there too.

Riker bit his lip. "We have to wait for the signal, remember?"

"What's the signal?" Dez asked, joyously eating his fries.

"My BF," said Rydel. "He'll get a call from A², come over to the back, and open the doors. Then we know it's safe to let you out."

Trish tried to look out the window. "And when will that be?"

I shrugged. "Once the 'presentation' starts, I guess."

"When will that be?" Dez echoed.

I looked at Rydel for the time. She mouthed, 3:10.

"Exactly 20 minutes from now," I stated.

Trish sighed a breath of relief. "Finally! We get off this stinkin' truck."

"Van," Rydel corrected unnecessarily.

"No dib, Sherlock," Riker muttered under his breath.

Suddenly, the back doors opened. There stood an incredibly sweaty Ellington.

"El!" Rydel squealed. She ran off the edge of the van and jumped into his non-expectant arms. He staggered backward a few feet, but regained his balance.

"Time?" I asked.

He nodded, head buried in Rydel's blonde locks.

I ran over to Trish and started unknotting the restraints on her feet, Riker doing the same to Dez.

As soon as the ropes fell loose on Trish, she stood straight up and ran for the exit, Dez hot on her trail. We ran after them.

"Wait!" I called.

They slowed down but didn't stop. I caught up to Trish. "Where you going?"

"To find Austin and Ally," she grumbled. "And make them tell us what's going on."

"No!" Rydel exclaimed. "You can't! It'll ruin the whole plan!"

"So be it," Dez said.

"Do you even know where you're going?" Riker asked with a smirk.

Trish stopped dead in her tracks. She spun on her heel to look Riker in the eye. "Do you? All I know is that my best friend who I've known since pre-k decides to trust her boyfriend's cousins more than me! This 'revenge' of yours revolves around Rachel! A little be-yotch who cheated on Austin! But that doesn't mean you can just take me and Dez, practically kidnap us, and stuff us in the back of some van while our best friends are preparing some humiliation rally!" She stopped rambling to breath. "I have a right to know what's going on—so does Dez. I'm not going to get stopped by some band just 'cause us interrupting is going jeopardize your little 'plan'. So please SHUT UP so we can make it in time." And with that, she spun back around and stomped away again.

Riker's face was shocked; clearly he hadn't expected a whole speech.

I found strength in my legs again and ran after Trish.

When I saw her, she was sitting by a small lake, crying her eyes out.

"Trish…" I said softly.

I sat down next to her on the bench and tried to get her to talk.

She finally looked up at me. Her eyes were red and puffy from the sobbing and her breathing was jagged.

I smiled softly at her. "You okay?"

She nodded at my stupid question. "Y-Yeah, I-I'm fine. It's just…I've been holding all of this in since Ally wouldn't tell me what happened at the library. It hurt to know she trusted Austin and his cousins—who don't even know her that well—more than me…" she choked up.

"Aw, Trish," I said. "She doesn't trust us more than you. You just wouldn't understand."

"Understand what? Huh? Understand what?"

I hesitated. "I think you're about to find out."

She nodded. "Fine. Can—can you at least tell me two things?"

I nodded my head reluctantly.

"Okay. One: why Dallas? What did he do? And two: why don't you guys just say 'Del'? You guys always hesitate."

Alright. Not that serious. "For the hesitation, it's for codes, Trish. We can't just openly say things or else the plan would've been revealed a long, long time ago. We all have code names—so to speak. 'Del' was Rydel's. We couldn't afford to confuse our code names. It was just force of habit, I guess."

"Oh. I get it. What about Dallas?"

My heart clenched. I looked at my hands, my outgrown bangs covering my right eye. "Um…it's a really long story."

Trish crossed her legs. "I got time."

I nodded my head slightly. "Right. Um, it started when I first lived here in Miami. Before I worked for the Melody Diner, before I met you guys, I met Dallas. I went to the library one day and well…we just clicked, you know? So afterward, we hung out more and he eventually asked me out."

"I have a feeling I know where this is going," Trish muttered.

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, yeah. Anyway, I caught him with another. At first, I thought it was a friend, you know? I don't get jealous easily. But then he leaned in and…" Tears started streaming down my face. "…kissed her. So naturally, I went up and slapped the life out of him. But he just acted confused and asked me a question that broke my heart. You know what that question was, Trish? Do you?"

She shook her head.

"'Do I know you?'"

Her jaw dropped. "He acted like he didn't even know you?"

I nodded, tears rapidly falling from my eyes. "Yeah. And then I said, 'We've been dating for two months!' and Dallas just turned to the other girl and said, 'I have never seen this girl in my life.' I ran away crying."

"So Dallas broke your heart," Trish said. "That's why you want revenge."

"Yep," I gave a throaty laugh. "And don't you know? He's the brother of Austin's be-yotch of an ex-girlfriend. More the reason to hate him."

Trish nodded. "I thought he was a nice guy." She scoffed. "Yeah right."

I laughed, wiping the tears away. I stood up. "Come on. Enough tears for today. Let's go."

She smiled and stood up. "You know, Cass? You're pretty cool."

I grinned. "Thanks. You too."

She nodded. "I'm still going to try to get to Austin and Ally, though."

I sighed. "I can't stop you, can I?"

"Nope!" she exclaimed, popping the 'p'. She grabbed my arm and dragged me along. "Come on. Let's go!"

I groaned. Oh boy. Riker's gonna kill me…

Disclaimer—

Ally: What would my godly parent be?

Trish: Godly what?

Me: I think Athena.

Ally: *offended* Hey! Why?

Me: You're talented at music, duh. But you're really smart, too. Austin, on the other hand? Not so much… so I'd name him as Apollo and you as Athena 'cause both of you being Apollo would be just GROSS!

Ally: *blushes*

Trish: What?

Me: Two siblings from a cabin—

Trish: You know what? I don't want to know.

Me: *huffs* *pouts* *crosses arms* Fine!

Ross Lynch: *comes out of nowhere*

Dez: *screams* *jumps into Trish's arms*

Trish: Get off me, you idiot!

Ally: Austin?

Ross: Laura?

Me: AHHHHHH! NO! NO RALLY! AHHHHH!

Everyone: *looks at me weirdly*

Me: *acts like nothing happened* Ally, this is Ross, not Austin. Ross, this is Ally, not Laura. Mmkay?

Ally: *frowns* But he looks exactly like Austin.

Ross: And she looks exactly like Laura.

Me: I KNOW! But just stay with your own world.

Trish and Dez: What? *look at each weirdly*

Me: The world of Austin and Ally is (sadly) not real, so the characters from there must stay there. But real life people like me and Ross, over here, *points at him* need to stay in real life. THE TWO MUST NEVER MIX UP!

Dez: What about OCs?

Everyone: *stares at Dez*

Me: How—how do you know about OCs?

Dez: *shrugs* This *shows my journal of OCs*

Me: HEY! *grabs it* Just for that, you need to do the disclaimer!

Dez: *grumbling* Fine. Envy doesn't own anything but the storyline and *points to my journal* those people.

Me: *nods* Good. Now goodbye Ross! *makes portal appear*

Ross: *about to get sucked in* LAURA!

Ally: AUSTIN!

Me: NO NO NO NO NO! NO RALLY!

Ross: *gets sucked away*

For those of you who don't know, Rally is the pairing between Ross and Ally. I don't know ANYONE who ships them but people are nuts. *shrugs* I don't even remember how I know their ship name…

Oh well!
