Chapter Twelve: Something to Ask You
Glass entered her apartment after a long day and a hard battle. The battle with Kylee's older brother wore her out and decided to call it a day. Her apartment was not what you expect from one of the Street Kings. It had only one room with that room being the living room. The hallway on the right led to the only bathroom she had with a shower. On the left was a kitchen with a refrigerator, sink, counters, a dishwasher, and some cupboards. Her only bed was the couch that turned into a futon with a small coffee table in front of it and medium sized T.V across from table on a stand. Clothes were scattered everywhere despite there was a bin in the corner to toss the clothes in. She dragged herself to her couch and laid on it. She didn't feel like taking a shower and just closed her eyes. Glass fell asleep quickly soon after.

"Please no! Let me battle! I want to fight!"
"Nonsense! You will forget these barbarian fights and that's final!"
"But I want to fight! Why is that so wrong? Why is that I can't battle?"
"Glass dear, you are much more suited for contests rather than those tasteless matches. You could get hurt."
"I don't care about that! Battles are something I've never experienced before and…they're much more than you think!"
"Ha. Battles are only something only filthy animals partake in! You are part of the Artica family. A family who has raised top tier coordinators for generations. There is no chance that one of our own will take part as something mindless as battling!"
"But-"
"No buts young lady! You will return to you room and you will forget battles once and for all!"

Glass woke up panting in a cold sweat (ironic) and sat up. She put her hand on her forehead and tried to pull herself together. Glass calmed her breath and looked around the room. The blue haired girl could tell night had fallen. Even though she calmed down, her hand was still shaking. Glass hugged herself in order to calm herself down. "It's over. You're over that. What happened in the past doesn't matter anymore." Although she kept telling her that, her past is something she can never outrun. It would continue to follow her for the rest of her life. Glass was disowned so she couldn't worry about her parents giving a crap about her. So why was she scared? Glass wondered about that one question for the rest of the night until she could sleep again but the she sleep the Glaceon girl had was an empty one.

Light came forth and hit Glass' face. The blue haired girl's eyes stirred and she woke up. The sleep she had didn't help her at all. The only time she could remember having a good night's rest was when she spent the night over at Kylee's house. "Kylee…" Just thinking about her made her heart race. Funny enough she was like a Sunny Day to her like she brought warmth to her body. Glass sighed as she looked out the window. "Maybe I should go over for a visit. It's been a while since I last seen her." It was the weekend and she knew there wasn't any school to go to. Her stomach began to growl loudly. Glass chuckled. "I guess I need something to eat first. I wonder if I still have some leftover pizza left."
B
Apparently Glass woke up later than she thought. She woke up close to noon and was now heading towards Kylee's house. The Glaceon girl waved to some people along the way. Before she knew it, Glass arrived at her love interest's house. The Glaceon girl entered the building as the bell ringed. The scent of baked goods filled the air. "I would love to wake up smelling this every day."
"Welcome. How can I-oh Glass, it's nice to see you again." Kylee's father said.
Glass smiled at the older man. "It's nice to see you again. Is Kylee around?"
The older man nodded. "Yeah she's upstairs in her room. Her friends are here also so I hope you don't a little more company."
"It's no problem. The more the merrier is what some people say. Thanks." Glass went into the other room. She went upstairs and headed towards Kylee's room. The Glaceon girl heard voices coming from the Leafeon girl's room.
"Ah! This is so boring! Why do we have to do this stupid project? Why can't we do something fun?" Glass quietly chuckled from Lonny's outburst.
"If I remember right, you're flunking in this class. This project is your only hope to raise your grade unless you want summer school." And there goes Trina being the one in control.
"What? I don't want summer school! I can't go to the beach if I'm stuck in school."
A sweet laugh came from the room. "We'll help you Lonny. You're lucky you have us to help you." And there was Kylee, the center of Glass' universe.
"Oh Kylee!" A thud could be heard from the room. "You're so cute I just want kiss you!" Lonny exclaimed gleefully.
"Do that bitch and I'll freeze your pretty ass." Glass realized what she just thought. "Ok I'm not usually the one to think such thoughts. It's Lonny. She always does this."
"Ooh what's this? Something beneath your bed?"
"No Lonny don't pull that out!"
Now Glass was nervous as Kylee sounded scared. She inched closer to the door. "Wow Kylee you subscribe to this magazine? How can a girl so sweet be into something so naughty? How does your dad not find out about this stuff?"
"Lonny give that back!"
"Hee hee. No chance. Hey any chance you're willing to wear this sexy lingerie for Glass. I'm sure she'll pounce on you the second she sees you wearing this see through set." The Glaceon girl blushed heavily when she heard that. Even more so when her mind instantly imagined Kylee wearing a see through lingerie outfit. Glass would've had a nosebleed if she didn't have a strong will. "No wait maybe you'll be the one who'll pounce on Glass instead. You know what they say about sweet quiet girls. They're always the ones who rock the bed hard."
"Lonny!" Glass could imagine Kylee yelling out with an intense blush and embarrassment.
"You're just making it easier for Lonny to tease you Kylee." Trina said.
Glass wanted to get closer to the door so she put her hand on the door. Unfortunately the door wasn't closed fully as she fell into Kylee's room. Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Glass in surprise. This whole situation was awkward for all of them. The Glaceon girl laughed nervously and smiled. "Hi I came to drop by."
After a few minutes of getting over this awkward feeling and putting away Kylee's magazine, everyone sat on the floor with Kylee blushing a little. "So Glass, uh what are doing here?" She asked shyly.
"Well I wanted to see you Kylee and what you've been up to." Glass replied.
"Aw how sweet. Why haven't you two gone out already?" Lonny asked.
"It's not our business Lonny. Don't go into it." Trina stated.
The Lopunny girl giggled. "But I do want to know this. Glass how much did you hear our conversation?"
The Glaceon girl was a bit hesitant to answer that question. "Not much I only just got here." She lied.
The Lopunny girl felt a bit disappointed hearing that. "Aw too bad. You should've seen the magazine Kylee had under her bed. It was a magazine with a lot of girls wearing sexy lingerie. Some were even see through."
"Lonny!" The Leafeon girl shouted at her friend in embarrassment.
Her friend just waved at her nonchalantly. "Oh come on Ky it's not the most single embarrassing thing you have. I still know you have all those nude magazines you keep hidden in your closet. That and all the eighteen only girl girl manga you have."
"LONNY!"
Trina facepalmed. "I swear to Arceus you take things too far Lonny."
Glass had to turn this conversation around and fast. "Uh hey what are you two doing in Kylee's house anyway?"
"We're doing a project for our class. The report is about how certain qualities can affect a person such as type, nature, what kind of moves that people can use to use their advantage and how abilities can turn the tide of battle." Trina explained.
At least the conversation could be turned around now. Besides Glass was interested in this now. "Wow that's some heavy stuff right there."
"It is but we're doing pretty well so far." Kylee said.
"But it's so boring. Doing all these things is going to put me to sleep." The Lopunny girl complained.
Glass decided to explain some things to the group of girls. "Some things are that hard to understand. Take STAB or Same Type Attack Bonus. Any move that's the same type as your own would be stronger than regular moves by x1.5. Items that boost your attack will make them stronger like Magnet, Miracle Seed, and Nevermeltice. Other items can help too such as the Power Herb which can make the user use attacks like Sky Attack or Solarbeam. Abilities can help greatly like a combo between Guts, the Toxic Orb and the move Façade. Combine all of those and it's a one hit combo victory. Uh why's everybody staring at me?"
Trina was still holding her usual look but Kylee and Lonny were staring at Glass. "Oh wow you know a lot about this stuff." Lonny went over to where the Glaceon girl was. "Can you teach me this stuff or at least tutor me. You would be so great in help us with this."
"She can't help us Lonny." Trina pointed out.
Lonny turned to her. "And why not?"
"Because outside help is not allowed." The Roserade girl explained.
The Lopunny girl let out scream of frustration. "That's so not fair! We have a battle expert and we can't use her knowledge to help us."
"You mean help you so you don't flunk." Trina corrected her.
Glass laughed nervously. "It's nothing too impressive. They're just the basics in battling. Now advanced battle tactics, heh don't get started me on those or all of us are going to be in this room all day."
A funny thought came into Lonny's mind. "Speaking of all day…"
"Don't go there Lonny." Trina warned her friend.
"No Trina it's not that." The other girl reassured. She nudged at Kylee and Glass.
Trina now understood what her friend meant. "Oh then you must be talking about that thing."
Lonny nodded. "Yep.
Glass didn't understand what the two girls were talking about. "Hold on what thing are you two talking about?"
The Lopunny girl giggled. "Why don't you ask Kylee?"
Glass didn't get what the other girl was talking about but she had to what she said. The Glaceon girl turned to Kylee. "What are they talking about?"
The Leafeon girl pressed her two index fingers together. "Well um I do have something I would like to ask you Glass."
The Glaceon girl moved in close to Kylee. "Is someone bothering you again? I'll kick their ass if they are!"
Kylee waved her wands in order to calm down her love interest. "No it's nothing like that. It's just that uh…"
"Kylee wants to ask you if you can take her to her homecoming." Trina answered for her friend.
The room fell silent for a few seconds. "Wait what!" Glass yelled out.
Lonny faceplamed at what her friend did. "Trina you were supposed to let Kylee say that. Now the whole thing is ruined!"
"What do you mean by homecoming?" Glass asked as she wanted to know what was thrown at her.
"Our school is doing its annual homecoming dance next week and well I wanted to ask you out Glass…" Kylee explained as she turned her head away as she said that last part.
"But what about that 'outside' thing Trina said. I can't go because I don't go to your school." Glass reminded them.
"I said no outside help with our project. Students from different schools can go to our homecoming. Trust me some students have boyfriends and girlfriends from other schools so there's no problem there." Trina explained.
There was still a problem with all of this to Glass. "But I don't have anything to wear for something like that."
Lonny smiled. "Then girl it's a good thing you know a girl like me." She put her arm around Glass. "Come with me and I'll pick out an outfit for you."
Again there was still a problem. "But isn't there an invitation or something?"
"School store sells those. Kylee can get two and you're in." Trina assured Glass.
"Come on Glass. Don't you want to go out with our sweet Kylee?" Lonny asked sweetly.
Glass groaned internally. If she ever had a weakness other than type, it would be that she couldn't say no to Kylee. She sighed in defeat. "You sure you all have this planned out?"
"Don't worry Glass. There's still a week before the dance so you have plenty of time." The Lopunny girl assured.
The Glaceon girl sighed. She had no choice. "All right but there's one more thing."
"What?" All three girls asked at once.
Glass was a bit embarrassed to say it. "I don't know how to dance."
